Elia wakes up for the second time but this time because of the blinding lights. And once again she took 5 whole minutes to process where the hell is she and remembered once again she snuck into Lizzie's room last night and Lizzie was nowhere to be found right now. So, she must've been awake right now. Elia was kinda surprised when she sought comfort in Lizzie last night. Guess it was because she took Lizzie words that she was not a burden to her in her mind.
Elia turns around to look at the clock on the bedside table to be shown 10 am. Huh, she never slept late till now. She is always awakened at 8 am. But nevertheless, she felt less tense than yesterday and mostly she felt safe here. Safe with Lizzie. Maybe that's why she came to Lizzie last night.
Elia gets up from the bed and makes her way to the kitchen and hears hushed voices. When she walks into the kitchen everyone goes silent. Weird. Are they planning on sending me back? Elia thought to herself. Panicking
"Morning Squirt" Evans greeted her with big smiles.
"Morning guys. I'm sorry I woke up late today. Why don't you wake me up?" Elia said
"10 am is too late for teenagers like you?" Evans asks
"8 am is late for me" Elia replied quietly and everyone goes silent once again
"And what time do you usually go to sleep if you have to wake up at 8 am?" Scarlett asks
"Um what if I told you that I go to sleep at 11 pm and then wake up at 2 am, study till 5 am and then wake up again at 8 am. Will you be mad?" Elia asks
"Uh, very mad," Lizzie answered, kinda pissed.
"Remember I told you that I have to get straight A+?" Elia asks whispering not looking at the adults because she sure as hell their faces are concerned at her right now.
"Eliana, your social worker is coming today" Lizzie stated and Elia hearts immediately dropped hearing that. Are they gonna send her to another foster home? They don't want her anymore. She knows she's a burden. She knows it.
Elia started to tear up. She loves Lizzie and she thought Lizzie would be different from the others. But she knows, Lizzie won't have time for her because Lizzie has work, she's a famous actor. She won't have time for some problematic teenagers
"I'm sorry for bothering you. thank you for everything you've done for me" Elia said voice wavering and gets up from the chair she sat to walk out of the room
"Elia? What do you mean?" Lizzie asks confusedly grabbing Elia hands
"the social worker coming to take me away, right? I know the drill Lizzie" Elia answered with tears rolled down her cheeks. Lizzie doesn't know whether to laugh because Elia thought Lizzie doesn't want her in her life or be sad because Elia was in pain like that.
"Eli, they won't take you away from me. I won't let that happen. I won't let anyone take you from me ever" Lizzie said, squeezing Elia's hands. 'Eli' new nickname and Elia loves it. but she's more confused on about the social worker coming
"But the social worker is coming?" Elia asks
"Elia, since you came into my life, I am not who I am right now. I don't usually have this strong maternal instinct with anyone other than you. you make me feel like I have to protect you, I have to make you happy, I can't watch you being upset like this. When I see you laugh, smile, that's all I want you to feel in this world. And I want you in my life forever because I know I can make you happy and you deserve the love. I'll gladly give it to you Eliana. So, why the social worker coming today is because I don't want anyone to take you from me ever. Eliana Edward, I'm adopting you" Lizzie stated. Elia, just standing there shocked, couldn't control her tears when Lizzie kept talking. Scarlett and Chris who were in the kitchen hearing the whole encounter has tears on their eyes
"Lizzie, if this is a joke, it's not funny" Elia said blinking away the tears
"Why would I make a joke about it?" Lizzie asks
"Because nobody wants me in their life Lizzie, I'm nothing but a burden" Elia said crying
"Well they're wrong and I told you many times and won't stop reminding you that you are not a burden to me. You are the opposite for me." Lizzie said sternly and Elia took this moment to process everything, she knows Lizzie was saying the truths
"you-you're gonna adopt me?" Elia stuttered from the crying. Lizzie just nods her head smiling softly at Eliana. Elia immediately goes to hug Lizzie tightly sobbing in her chest. She can't believe this. They met not about a week ago and now Elia's life's gonna change. No, actually it changed the minute she met them without her realizing it.
"There is so much I want to know about you Elia. And I want to share every moment I have with you. every minute of it" Lizzie added, rubbing her back softly calming Elia down from her sobbing.
"I love you Elia. So much" Lizzie whispers. Elia took a deep breath to compose herself. She pulls back looking at Lizzie in her green orb eyes which makes Elia feels safe instantly
"I love you too mom" Elia replies with smiles and tears. Lizzie was smiling widely when she heard the words 'mom' come out from Eliana. Scarlett gasps in surprise and awed. Lizzie goes to kiss the top of Elia's head.
"Right then little missy, go shower and then we can have brunch together and wait for the social worker to come" Lizzie said ruffling her hair. Elia simply obeyed her mom. She excitedly walked to her room and yelled 'it's adoption day' excitedly making the three adults laugh at her remarks.
Lizzie leans against the sink. She felt terribly nervous right now. Worried too. Anxious. she's scared if something goes wrong today and she'll never get to see Elia anymore.
"Lizzie, everything will be fine. We're gonna be here the whole time" Chris said, noticing how nervous Lizzie was because she took multiple deep breaths. She felt blessed for the friends she got. "God, I love her so much already," Lizzie said, chuckling to herself. "welcome to motherhood Olsen" Scarlett said
After Elia finished showering, she decided to call Isaac. Informing him this good news but she thought once again maybe it was better if she called after they finalized everything. When she officially became Lizzie's daughter. She'll call him after this. She doesn't want to jinx it with too much happiness because she is scared something might go wrong.
She goes back to the kitchen and sees Scarlett and Lizzie were cooking while Chris just stood there looking pretty. Chris notices Elia coming but Elia puts her hands on her lips for Chris to keep it quiet that she's in the room. Chris face immediately light up seeing how sneaky Elia was right now and he knows Elia was about to prank the women who were cooking intently
Chris gets up slowly motioning for Elia to wait for it while he goes take something on the cabinet in the living room. Elia waits there patiently and when Chris comes back with horn in his hands she smirks mischievously. Chris passes her one horn while he holds one horn in his own hands. They counting down from 3,2,1 the horn blaring startling Scarlett and Lizzie screaming at the top of their lungs making Chris and Elia fell down to the floor laughing their asses off
"you.... you should see your....... Your face" Elia said in between her laughs. Chris still laughing but he helped Elia get up and they high fiving each other
"Where did you get the horn?" Lizzie asks, still holding her hands on her chest to calm her heart beat down. Elia immediately looking at Evans for answers and with that both women stare at Chris
"Me and Mackie pretty much bought it and put it every side of your house" Chris said grinning
"You've got to tell me about these secret pranks" Elia said wiggling her eyebrows at Chris
"I'm warning you Evans, you're not gonna corrupt my daughter to you guys stupid pranks" Lizzie said threatened him
"And I'm gonna separate you both" Lizzie added taking Elia to her sides, away from Evans
"But mom, I only have uncle Christopher" Elia pouting and let out her puppy eyes making three adults caved when they heard how young she sounded and she acknowledge Chris as 'Uncle Christopher'
"Yeah Lizzie! Don't separate uncle Christopher and his Elia" Chris said looking at Lizzie.
"She's a good Lizzie. She's too good." Scarlett nodded her head at Lizzie. And then they just chuckle on how cute Elia is. They continue with their cooking and brunch together with lots of laughter, joking and talking.
2 hours later, the doorbell rings. Lizzie knows it was the social worker and her lawyer. She opened the door and her assumptions were right. They are here. They finalized it and then no one was gonna take Elia from her anymore. Lizzie won't let Elia go.
"Miss Olsen, nice to meet you. I'm Julia Reed. Eliana's social worker," Julia holds out her hand for Lizzie to shake.
"Nice to meet you too Mrs. Reed" Lizzie said, shaking their hand smiling. Then Lizzie goes to hug her lawyer, Niall Brooke. And they meet Elia, Scarlett and Chris in the living room.
"Right, should we continue this? I could see the excitement in Miss Eliana's eyes from here" Julia said chuckling and they all smiled at Elia.
"Sure. We'll go to Elizabeth office room" Niall said motioning for Julia to follow him
Elia looks at Lizzie who looks terribly nervous. "Are you ready to be my daughter for the rest of your life?" Lizzie asks
"More than I'll ever be. Are you ready to be stuck with me for the rest of your life? Because I think I'm gonna send you to your nursing home when you're 70/80 years old" Eliana said jokingly
"I didn't pick any nursing home" Lizzie replied, chuckling at her daughter's antics. Soon to be legally a daughter.
"It's okay. It's gonna be my job now" Elia sass back which makes the three adults laugh once again. They love seeing how goofy Elia was.
Then both of them went into the office room and started the process. The process was quite simple. Simple because Lizzie actually was in touch with their social worker going on with meetings and else 4 days ago. And luck within their sides, today is actually their day to finalize everything.
Julia just asks Elia about her liking staying here with Lizzie and then most of it was about the Drew's. Elia told Julia everything about the Drew's from the beginning she's living with them till the post-it notes they gave her before she decided to run and luckily, she still keeps the post- it notes. Lizzie on the other hand doesn't like why Elia still kept it and she felt relieved when Julia took it for evidence and made sure Drew's license on being a foster parent will be revoked.
"That's it. congratulations. You're both stuck with each other till the rest of your life. I'm so glad you're found the happiness you've been looking for Miss Edward. And if nothing more, I'll excuse myself" Julia said when Lizzie's done with her last document to sign.
Lizzie looks at Elia who has tears in her eyes but smiling. She knows it was happy tears. Lizzie immediately pulls Elia into a huge mama bear hug.
"wait. Can I ask for one more thing?" Elia said, stopping Julia from leaving the room. She looks back at Julia and then Lizzie.
"I wanna change my name. I mean my last name. and I wanna know more about me" Elia said looking at Lizzie and the last part was looking at Julia.
"I'm sure Mr. Brooke and I could make that happen and your files are in front of you. you could look at it first. We'll wait for you." Julia answered. Elia looks at Lizzie hoping she was okay with it. Lizzie was beyond happy finally she got her little Olsen. Elia takes the files and grabs her birth certificate. It didn't have much on it.

"I don't have middle name" Elia said quietly
"If you want it, you could add it." Niall said, smiling at her. Elia then looks at Lizzie. She thought for a while and thought it might be the best.
"So? What do you want my middle name to be?" Elia asks sweetly
"You want me to pick your middle name?" Lizzie asks shocked
"Of course! You're my mom." Elia replied, smiling at her. Lizzie was almost teared up.
Lizzie of course knows some names that'll be perfect for her 'future' daughter and decided on only one name that stuck in her mind since the beginning.
"Eliana Adelaine Olsen," Lizzie said, smiling at her daughter.
"Wow. It's beautiful" Elia answered awed.
"It's settled then. By the end of the day, you'll officially be Eliana Adelaine Olsen. We'll sort the document today. Right now. So, we'll excuse ourselves" Niall said and then went to hug Lizzie goodbye and they sent both of the guests to the door.
Once Lizzie and Elia turn around, they see Scarlett and Chris looking at them with huge smiles. Elia returns the gestured
"hi, my name is Eliana Adelaine Olsen," Elia said waving at them with huge smiles plastered on her like her mom. Lizzie has so much pride when Elia introduces herself to both of them
"GET OUT! MINI OLSEN!" Scarlett said squealing jumping up and down running to Elia and hugging her tightly
"and mom chose my middle name too" Elia added
Scarlett started to teared up and Lizzie too made Elia look at Chris and he too also teared up.
"Don't cry! Please." Elia said chuckling to them
"It's too cute" Scarlett said wiping away her tears
"It's emotional for me," Lizzie said, blinking away the tears.
"I can't wait to tell the world about my beautiful niece that she has a beautiful name" Chris said too.
Elia just chuckles at him and then stops frozen when she processes the 'tell the world'. But she'll talk with her mom about it later.
"Can I be pardoned? I need to call Isaac" Elia asks. The three adults just shake their heads and let her go because they know Isaac is the only person in her life since the beginning.
Elia excitedly goes to her room and face- timing Isa.
"I MISS YOU BEAUTIFUL!" Isaac says a greeting when he picks up the call. Elia just laughs at her best friend
"We talked yesterday Isaac," Elia said playfully, rolling her eyes.
"I know. Yesterday was different and today is different" Isaac said. Indeed, it is.
"Yup. Yesterday I was Eliana Edward. Today I am Eliana Adelaine Olsen" Elia said, smirking at him. Isaac was not surprised at all. "It's about damn time," Isaac said, smirking back at Elia
