The moment you stepped inside the Madrigals' home was kind of shocking.
The tiles had immediately brought you towards the dining table where all the Madrigals was seated, mostly you were shock because they had put you and Camilo with a close proximity between you two.
You were confused when you greeted them, they gave you a welcoming smile and a greet of their own before digging into their food.
You brushed off their weird behavior as a normal welcoming madrigals.
Camilo and his family in the other hand- they won't stop giving each other an eye contact.
Mainly with Pepa giving him a wide-eyed stare as if to say that he should- no, he need to make a move before you have to go home.
Dolores would give him a kick under the table every once in awhile everytime he shift into you unconsciously. She knew that it was out of habit when her little brother is nervous, but he's too nervous for his own good.
She could hear his heart beats faster when you'll get closer to him if you'll pass a dish on one of them or if you'll ask if he's okay since all the people in town knows how loud and playful he is.
He's too quiet when you're in his presence and Dolores can't help but feel sorry towards his brother.
The dinner went rather smoothly after a few exchanged glances around the table, of course. Without you noticing or picking up on their weird behavior.
Isabella though, thought that it was amusing how her primo got quiet the moment you walked inside their house.
It was as if he's trying to give you the image of him as "Good boy."
At that thought, Isabella snickered as she turned to you.
A sweet and charming smile was placed on her lips, eyes sparkling with so much joy and anticipation.
"So, Y/n." She started, lifting her hand. With a flick of her wrist, a red carnation appeared on your hair. "Any boy that you're interested on?"
The question made the other Madrigals quiet.
You blinked and thought for a moment, tension filled the air and you can cut it clean with a knife if it was materialized.
All their worries vanished when you smiled and shook your head. "No, not that I think of anyone at the moment."
To say the least, you got confused when they all seem to relax after hearing your answer.
You just brushed it off again, thinking that they were just curious. Especially when you're already 17 and you're not dating anyone yet.
Dolores and Pepa sent Camilo a congratulating look after you dropped your answer.
The tension almost killed Camilo. He doesn't know if he should be thanking Isabella for her bravery or should he be cussing her out.
But nonetheless, he felt relieved about that piece of information. All he got to worry about now is, how to woo you and make you fall for him.
Which he knew, would be hard because he get nervous and flustered around you instead.
Dinner passed by and now, Dolores stood beside you.
"Are you sure you don't want me to walk you home?" Dolores asked for the 10th time in that evening.
You gave her a death stare, lips pursing slightly. "If you ask me one more time, I swear that I'll scream bloody murder."
Dolores flinched at that and shook her head, "Alright. Alright."
She turned around and when her hermano came into view, she immediately pulled you back inside before you got the chance to step outside.
"Camilo! Hermano, oh goodness. Perfect timing!" The said boy shot Dolores a confused look before it morphed into a flustered one when he saw you standing in the main door.
You simply waved at him and smiled. Which caused the teen to sputter out nonsense on top of the staircase.
Dolores inwardly cringed at her brother's reaction so to make him stop, she ushered for him to get closer and the boy hesitantly do so.
— with the help of their beloved Casita of course.
"Can you drop off N/n on her house? I don't have time because I need to get ready for my and Mariano's date tomorrow morning." Dolores stated, her words mixed with truth and lie.
Your burrows furrowed and you opened your mouth to protest when Dolores cut you off, "You can? Great! Make sure to stay safe!"
You and Camilo got pushed out of the house, Casita being a good and humble home- closed it's doors and refused to budge open the door for the shapeshifter.
You only stared blankly at the wooden door infront before turning to your best friend's little brother.
"Hey, Camilo." He jolted from his standing spot.
"It's fine if you don't drop me off at my house, I can go home myself since I'm already an adult, your sister just got worried and forgot that I'm already a grown woman besides I don't want to let you walk back alo-" You started to ramble but got cut off.
"No! I mean-" Camilo immediately corrected his tone. "No.. I- I can't let a lady walk alone in the dark." He muttered.
Since you were already used to Dolores being too hushed with her words, you heard him loud and clear.
You smiled at his words, you really didn't want to have someone to drop you off especially when you love the silence at night but the boy infront of you seem genuine and trying to be a gentleman so you just turned around and started walking down the path.
"Let's go then."
Camilo felt so proud of himself. He managed to talk to you! He said a whole and proper sentence towards you! He didn't stumble on his words. Not even a single a word! Oh, if only you knew how happy he is right now.
Realizing that you're already walking, the teen hurriedly ran after you and decided to gather enough courage to walk beside you.
His sister gave him this chance to be alone with you and he's grateful for that, despite her refusing to help him when he asked so desperately but still ended up helping him.
The thought made him smile, he only smiled wider when he catch a glimpse of your loving gaze towards the dark and sparkling sky.
There's no clouds so he knew that his mother was content and happy this evening. The weather says it all.
He looked up in the sky as well, admiring how beautiful it is but he can't help but compare it's beauty against yours.
He quickly got your adorable face on his thoughts and he knew, that you won the unknown competition on his mind.
The boy hummed to himself as he glanced back at you, his hazel eyes brightening at the sight of your tired, lazy but pretty smile.
He love your smile so much. He love it to the point where he can just stare at you for the whole day without him caring for anyone. Just him and you.
But that will happen next time, hopefully soon enough.
Before he knew it, the two of you reached your house.
The walk was silent but comfortable, a memory that he would surely keep in his mind forever.
You gave him a breathtaking smile, that made him glued to his spot. You chuckled and leaned in then you placed a kiss on his freckled cheeks.
It's the same kind of kiss that you would give Dolores when she's sad or pouting, it's also the same kind of kiss that you'll Antonio if he behaved himself.
And now, you also gave Camilo a kiss on the cheek. The thought that you kissed the three siblings can be quite amusing.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Camilo." You waved timidly, exhaustion painted on your beautiful features before stepping inside your home.
He heard and saw the door close.
It was silent, the teen was silent as he registered on his mind what you just did.
Then a lopsided smile broke into his face, a loving and drunk look on his eyes as he held his cheek where he can still feel the warmth of your lips on his skin.
"She wanted to see me tomorrow.." He muttered to himself as he turned around then slowly starting to walk back to his own home.
