Johnny walked over and stood next to Daniel. The two turned and bowed to the kids who all bowed back. They then turned to each other and bowed before turning back to the class. "You ready?" Daniel asked. "Let's begin," Johnny instructed.
The kids all looked around in confusion. Y/N and Miguel glanced at each other, trying to figure out what the two sensei's meant. "Uh, begin what exactly?" Demetri asked, raising his hand. Daniel and Johnny turned and looked at each other, both of them obviously stuck on what to do. This is going to be fun.
"Begin a new era. Many of us used to be enemies. But rivalries don't need to last forever." Daniel stated, turning to look at Johnny. Y/N smiled, happy that the two of them had come to some understanding. After all, they were stronger together. "The All-Valley Tournament is just a few months away, and this year, the stakes are higher than they've ever been. We know that Cobra Kai is going to use every dirty trick in the book. There's only one way we're gonna be able to beat them--"
"By kicking their asses so hard they shit themselves," Johnny interjected, cutting Daniel off. Y/N glanced at Miguel and the two tried to suppress their chuckles as Daniel watched Johnny in horror as he continued. "We gotta take things to the next level. Gonna teach you an aggression stronger than anything Cobra Kai can throw at us. They strike first? We'll pre strike!"
"Okay, we're getting ahead of ourselves. We are going to respond to what they do."
"Eagles do not respond. They swoop down and take whatever they want. That's what we're gonna do. Take back the Valley."
"Take it back in a measured and organized approach."
"We bite first!"
Daniel heaved a sigh, making Y/N feel kind of bad. Daniel wasn't going to be able to change how Johnny was but he was hoping he could at least see it a different way. "Okay, let's just warm up with some simple exercises." Daniel said. "All right, line up!" Johnny yelled. The kids all moved around until they were standing in two rows. "Alright, just breathe and follow me." Daniel instructed as he took a deep breath and started his kata.
Y/N was about to copy him when Johnny instructed them to get into their fighting positions. Y/N internally groaned before getting into her fighting position. "Right leg back. Front kick ready. Hi-yah!" Johnny instructed. The Eagle Fangs all did a front kick, only for Mitch to kick Nathaniel in the back, making him fall to the ground. "Shit dude I'm sorry." Mitch apologized. Daniel turned to look at Johnny. "Any more bright ideas?" He asked. Johnny nodded. "Yeah I've got some."

"Ready? Fight!" Johnny said before stepping back. Bert threw jab punches as Mitch blocked them. Mitch when to throw a kick when Daniel stepped in between them, pushing them back. "Hey, hey, hey! You're just swinging at each other." He scolded. "Don't you teach any defense?"
"Best defense is more offence." Mitch added. Suddenly, Bert brought his foot and kicked Mitch in the side before shoving him backward. Mitch fell back and hit his head on a big rock that had writing on it, causing him to groan in pain. "Why do you have a rock in the middle of your dojo?" Johnny asked.
Daniel rolled his eyes. "Demetri, Sam your turn." He said. The two walked over to where Mitch and Bert were and got into their positions. "Fight!" Daniel said before taking a step back. The two circled each other, their fists raised. "That's it. Keep circling." Daniel encouraged. "Don't anticipate. Stay focused."
"Alright one of you do something. What the hell is this?" Johnny asked annoyed. "Yeah, that's not really how this works. One of has to be provoked." Demetri replied with a roll of his eyes. Johnny reared his arm back and threw his empty water bottle, causing it to hit Demetri. "Provoked yet?" Johnny asked. Daniel let out a frustrated breath. "Alright let's just move on."

"Wax on, wax off. It doesn't matter how many times you've done it. You always need to practice your fundamentals." Daniel said as he walked around his classic cars. "That's right, clean it good. I want this thing to look brand spanking new. If you find any loose change, it belongs to me." Johnny said as he landed against his caravan
"Dad, this is gross," Y/N said, poking her head out from underneath the seat. "How'd you get under there?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. "Don't know. The real question is on how I'm going to go out." She replied, before disappearing back under the seat.

Johnny took one final swig of his beer before throwing the empty bottle on the ground, making it smash to pieces. "Come on, you maggots! Faster!" He demanded. The kids ran around an obstacle course Johnny set up the involved drums with fire in them and spinning on a baseball bat.
"We're gonna get sued here," Daniel said to Johnny. "Uh, sue me for what?" Johnny scoffed. "Oh god, I think I'm about to barf." Chris panted. He stumbled around a bit before running over to a wooden boat. "Not the boat! Not the boat!" Daniel yelled. It was too late though as Chris leaned over the side and threw up, causing all the kids to groan in disgust.

"Fight!" Johnny instructed, backing up. Hawk and Mitch circled each other before Hawk rushed forward and strikes Mitch in the stomach. Mitch groaned in pain before throwing punches at Hawk. Hawk dodged only for Mitch to land a kick to his stomach. Hawk and Mitch exchanged punches until Hawk kicked his leg out. Mitch moved just in time, making Hawk's foot go through the canvas Daniel had on the door.
"Oh shit." Hawk said, pulling his foot out. Daniel sighed, exasperatedly. "You see, this is why we don't spar in here." He said angrily. "All right, who's next?" Johnny asked, ignoring Daniel's annoyance. This was not going well.

Y/N washed her hands in the sink before turning off the faucet. She looked up into the mirror, her eyes scanning over the bruises and cuts that were slowly healing on her face. Was this what her life was now? Getting into fights over trivial things that in the end don't matter?
"Y/N, the Diaz's are here!" Johnny yelled. "Coming!" She yelled back. Y/N gave herself a look over once more before exiting the bathroom and walking into the living room. "Hey guys!" She greeted, putting on a fake cheery smile. She loved the Diaz's to death but right now, she wanted to be alone. Too many thoughts were clouding her head and felt them push against her brain, making a small migraine happen.
"Hello beautiful." Miguel replied, pulling her into a hug. Y/N gave a soft laugh and hugged him back. She placed a kiss on his cheek before letting him go and giving Rosa and Carmen a hug. After everyone said their hello's, they made their way to the kitchen table.
Johnny walked over to the table, a dish in his hand. "Dinner is served. All right, tonight's main course is fajitas and grilled vegetables. I have pico de Gallo and corn and flour tortillas." Johnny said as he placed the dish down before taking his seat. "Wow. This looks delicious, Johnny." Carmen complimented.
"You look delicious as well," Miguel mumbled into Y/N's ear. She felt her cheeks heat up at Miguel's unexpected comment. "Thanks. I got it off the Chili's website. I wanted it to be authentic." Johnny replied. Y/N gave a soft laugh as the plate was passed to her.
"¿Auténtico para quién? Somos ecuatorianos, no mexicanos." (Authetic for who? We're Ecuadorian, not Mexican) Rosa stated. "Mama." Carmen laughed. "Here try this. Spicy mango." Johnny offered as he held up a jar of salsa. "Just like the old country."
Johnny unscrewed the lid and poured some onto Rosa's plate. It came out very clumpy. "Uh, gracias," Rosa said quickly. "So how was the bug first day?" Carmen asked, looking around at Johnny, Miguel, and Y/N. "Uh, you know, it's the first day. Work in progress." Johnny replied with a shrug. "I'm happy you and Daniel are working together. I just want to make sure Miggy's safe."
"Don't worry, Miggy is very safe," Y/N said, a slightly teasing tone in her voice. Miguel always felt embarrassed when his mom called him that in front of her and she never passed up an opportunity to pick on him. Miguel rolled his eyes. "What about you, Y/N? How are you feeling?" Carmen asked.
"My back is better than ever." She replied with a smile. "Yeah you don't have to worry, I'm watching them," Johnny reassured Carmen. "Entonces, mijo, dime, ¿te gusta hacer karate con tu novia? ¿Ustedes disfrutan mucho del combate uno a uno?" (So, mijo, tell me, how do you like doing karate with your girlfriend? You guys enjoy a lot of one-on-one sparring?) Rosa asked, gesturing to Y/N.
Y/N's cheek's flushed again at Rosa's comment as she gave a soft giggle. "I'm glad you two are together. You guys are cute together." Carmen said, smiling at them. Miguel grabbed Y/N's hand and interlaced their fingers. "Yeah well, I'm not the only one getting with someone, huh, sensei?" Miguel asked with a smirk. Y/N's eyes widened. Shit, he doesn't know about Carmen and Johnny.
"He had a date with the love of his life. The one that got away?" Miguel questioned with a smile. Carmen looked down at her plate. "Is that right?" She asked. "It wasn't a date, no," Johnny answered, trying to move on. "He's being modest. We took all those cool pictures and made you look---ow!" Miguel yelped as Y/N stepped on his foot. "Oops, sorry Mig." She said sarcastically. "Anyways, we went to this sushi spot because Ali likes sushi, or so we thought. So we got the dragon roll--ow again?!" Miguel exclaimed in annoyance. "Sorry, muscle spasm." Y/N shrugged. Miguel just rolled his eyes. "You're lucky you're cute." He mumbled. Y/N smiled and sent Johnny a wink. You're welcome.
