A/N Chapter is loosely based on the song. I recommend listening to around the second part of the chapter. Enjoy!!
----------------------------------
Y/N walked through the wooden gates of Miyagi-Do, sunglasses perched upon her nose. She walked around back to see all the Eagle Fang's stretching. As she got closer, she heard Miguel telling Hawk and the others about the events that transpired the previous night.

"I don't know man. You should've heard the way Mr. LaRusso was talking about Sam's future. I can't even afford a car, let alone college. What if they start to think I'm not good enough?" Miguel asked. Y/N felt anger rise in her. Why did he give a damn about what the LaRusso's thought about him?

"Why does it matter what they think? I thought you were dating Y/N, not Sam." Hawk said somewhat sarcastically. "Yeah that's what I thought too." Y/N stated, walking over to them as she took off her sunglasses. The boys fell silent as Miguel turned to look at her. "We are dating. What made you think I was dating Sam?" Miguel asked obliviously. "How would you like the list? Alphabetically or chronologically?" Y/N spat.

An awkward silence surrounded the group as the two stared at each other with Y/N glaring while Miguel looked confused. "Everything alright here?" Daniel asked, walking over to the group. "Everything is fine, Mr. LaRusso. What are we doing today?" Y/N asked, turning to look at the older man. Daniel's eyes darted between the two teens before shaking his head. He didn't need to get involved in relationship drama. Been there done that.

"Uh right. Come here." He ushered, walking towards the pond. The kids followed behind him, with Y/N falling to the back, trying to keep as much distance between her and Miguel as possible. "Now, I know you've all been taught to strike first. What do you do when your opponent is faster than you?" Daniel asked as he hopped onto the wooden deck.

"Are those real coy?" Mitch asked, peering into the pond. "They sure are. Today's lesson is simple. Catch a fish. But since I know you Eagle Fangs like a bit of competition, we're gonna make it interesting. So the first to succeed will have the honor of leading class all week." Daniel wagered. The kids stared at him blankly, not seeing that as much of a reward. "And you also get to pick out what flavor Gatorade I buy next."

"Aw, hell yeah! Hope you all like Glacial Freeze." Mitch exclaimed. "Okay, where are the rods?" Miguel asked. "Back in my garage. Your bare hands are all you'll use and all you'll need." Daniel explained. Y/N smiled. She liked his complicated lessons. They always felt the most important to her. "On your mark. Get set. Go!"

The kids rolled up their sleeves and separated around the pond before sticking their hands in the water. Y/N felt goosebumps form on her arms as her skin made contact with the ice-cold water. The sun was shining down on them, casting a gold hue to light up her skin. Miguel looked over, noticing the way the sun seemed to light up her eyes and make her skin glow. Even though she was mad at him for reasons he didn't know, there was no denying that she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen.

The kids all tried to lunge forward to grab a fish, missing them completely. Y/N felt one brush against her hand, feeling its slimy scales against her wet hand. She went to grasp it but it slipped away before she could get a firm grip on it. She heard a loud splashing sound and looked up to see Miguel standing in the pond, her clothes and hair soaked.

"Looks like you're a little wet behind the ears." Daniel joked as the kids laughed. "The point was to catch the fish, not swim with them." Y/N mocked, a slight bite in her tone. Miguel glanced at her with hurt eyes, making her feel a little bit bad. She shook her head. No, she shouldn't feel bad for feeling the way she feels.
-------------------------------------
Soon class ended and the kids were making their way out of the dojo. Miguel had been dried off, still feeling hurt from the things Y/N had said. Did she really think he was having a thing with Sam? Did other people think that? Did Sam think that?

Y/N walked over to her car when she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around to see Miguel standing there, fear and hurt burning in his brown eyes. Y/N rolled her eyes. "Something I can help you with?" She questioned. "Can we talk?" He asked. Y/N wanted to say no, she wanted to be stubborn and not give in like she always did, but something in the back of her head told her to. The rational side of her told her to.

"About what?" She asked. "About what you and Hawk said. Why did you say that?" He questioned. Y/N scoffed. "Oh please. Don't act like you don't know what I mean." She replied. "I don't know what you're talking about. Can you tell me, please? I feel like we don't communicate anymore." Miguel said honestly.

"Yes well, I figured we don't need to communicate anymore since you spend so much time with Sam." Y/N snapped, feeling bitter emotions within her. She didn't know where all this anger and pettiness was coming from. Usually, Miguel was the stubborn one and she was the level-headed one but something seemed to change.

Miguel's eyes softened. "Y/N are you upset because of me spending time with Sam?" He asked softly. Y/N nodded. "But why?" He asked. "It's just-it's hard seeing you two together. Especially with everything going on and your guys' history makes me nervous. And you should see the way she looks at you. I know you liked her for so long and you still might but I just couldn't help the anger I felt seeing you guys together." She admitted, finally letting everything spill out.

Miguel felt his heartbreak at Y/N's words. He couldn't believe how much he had hurt her and didn't even realize it. Miguel move forward and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his chest. Y/N instinctively buried her head into his chest as her hands formed fists around the material of his shirt. "It's always been you Y/N." Miguel stated.

Y/N lifted her head off of his chest and looked up at him. "What?" She asked. "I've always had feelings for you. Sure, I had a small crush on Sam but it was just a distraction. It's always been you and only you, babe." He admitted. Y/N felt tears brim her eyes. How could she doubt his love for her?

"I'm sorry, Miguel." She whispered, feeling guilty for the way she acted. Miguel smiled. "Don't be. Next time, let's just talk, ok? I don't want to give up on us ever." He replied. "Ok. And I don't want to give up on us either." Y/N said, placing a kiss on his cheek. "I think you missed." He teased. "I'm not sure I did." Y/N teased back.

Miguel smiled, happy that he had his girl back. He leaned down and captured her lips in his, making her smile into the kiss. The two pulled away and smiled at each other. "So it's only me?" Y/N asked somewhat teasingly. "It's only you." Miguel replied, honestly. Y/N moved her hands from his shirt and placed them on his face. "Is it only me?" Miguel asked her. Y/N nodded. "It's only you, darling. Only you."

A/N I hope this chapter made sense. I wrote it half asleep so I might come back and edit it. I also based it on the song above and wanted to use some lyrics. It's also just a great song. Anyway did you guys like how I kind of switched their personalities a bit? I've got some good ideas going so maybe we'll get to see more of angry Y/N if you guys like it?? Anyways hope you enjoyed it and remember to stay hydrated.
