Daphne
I confess I did not see this coming!
I mean, I may be a teenager but I was a smart one. Or so I thought! I always pride myself on making smart choices. I was prepared. Sure, we could've used a condom. But I really thought I was safe from this! I mean, I'm a doctor's daughter!
I'm at home. It's the evening. My family and I are having dinner. I wait for us to finish eating, so my parents don't choke on their food. And then I grab Felix's hand.
"Mom, I have to tell you something. I'm sorry!" - I began, making my mom frown.
"What is it, sweetie?" - She replied in a worried tone. Dad looked at me worriedly too.
I squeeze Felix's hand.
"I'm so sorry! I really thought this could never have happened!" - I stated, my head's down from the shame. Felix puts his arm around me. He looks at me concerned.
"It's okay, Daph. Just tell them!" - Felix encouraged me.
"Daphne, you're worrying me! What's wrong?" - Mom asked me, deep worried look on her face.
"I'm pregnant!" - I said and began crying on Felix's shoulders.
My parents looked shocked. My dad's jaw was on the floor.
"But aren't you protected? I mean, didn't you put an IUD? - Mom questioned me, gobsmacked.
"I did! I thought I was! I'm not feeling anything, but this morning I took a test and it was positive!" - I replied, sobbing.
"I'll kill him! I knew that boy was trouble from the very first time! I knew it! I'm gonna go to his house right now and kill him!" - My dad was livid. I've never seen him so mad like this in my life.
"Dad please, you can't do anything to him!" - I pleaded. We're interrupted by a knock on the door. Felix went to see who it was as we all were too stressed already.
Felix opens the door and Nate greets him. Felix lets him in, but tried to warn him. It was bad!
"Who is it, son?" - Dad asked and as soon as he saw Nate, he rushed to get his gun and pulled it on him.
"Motherfucker! You gotta lot of nerve coming into this house after the stunt you pulled!" - Dad spat, while pointing his gun at him. Nate looked very frightened.
"I'm sorry, sir! I really am! I just wanted to say that I love Daphne. I do!" - He lifts his hand up as he said it.
At this, mom and I leave the kitchen and go to the living room. I got scared when I saw my dad pointing a gun to Nate. But I didn't know what to do. Or what to say exactly. But of course I'd try.
"Wow, dad! Calm down!" - I pleaded to him. My mom was as nervous as I was. So was Felix who looked at the scene stunned.
"Calm down? Don't tell me to fucking calm down! I can't believe this degenerate came to my house!" - He was fuming. He was livid. The gun was still pointed at Nate as he spoke.
"I am sorry, sir. I am. I love Daphne. I just came here to say that she's not alone in this. I got you, Daphne!" - He told us. Hands still up in the air.
"Well, let's see if you still get her from jail!" - He came close to Nate. - "You're under arrest for statutory rape. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right..." - He read him the rights as he physically pulled Nate's arms behind his back.
Dad took out his cuffs and restrained Nate, who did not offer any resistance.
"Dad, please don't do this! Please!" - I begged him, but he was too furious to listen.
"I love you, Daphne!" - Nate managed to say before he was carried out from my house and put on the back of my dad's car.
Dad took Nate to the precinct. I cried even harder. Mom tried to console me. And Felix texted Dan.

I barged in my parents' bedroom. I was desperate. I didn't know what to do. It's a good thing we never locked doors in this house. Not in our wing, anyway.
"Mom, dad, Nate got arrested!" - I shouted at them as soon as I entered the room, heaving.
"What!? Why?!" - Dad asked me, getting up from the bed. Both my parents were shocked at the news.
"He went to Daphne's house to show her support. Daphne's pregnant. And her father arrested him on the spot for statutory rape!" - I explained in one breath. I was so distraught. - "Felix just texted me as his dad took Nate to the police station!"
"Goddess! I knew this would end up badly! I just knew it as soon as I heard he was mated to the Police Chief's daughter!" - Dad yelled as he started changing his clothes.
"Mi amor, call the pack's lawyer! Have him meet me at the Police Station urgently! I'll go talk to Chief Ford!" - Dad told my mom. He proceeded to leave the room.
"I'll come with you, dad!" - I said it and we left together. Mom's already dialing her phone.
Later, we arrive at the police precinct. Dad and I go inside. He looked worried. But I was agonizing.
"Good evening, miss." - He said to the officer at the front desk. "My name is Patrick Huntington. I would like to see Chief Ford, please."
"Of course, sir, stay right there I'll go tell him you're here." - She replied and left her desk.
"Thank you very much, officer." - Dad spoke with a pleasant smile. He had an aura about him that commanded respect everywhere he goes. Even before humans. I only hoped I could be as good an Alpha as he is!
"Good evening, folks. I'm Chief Ford." - Felix's dad introduced himself as he showed up at the front, where we were. Though, by now I know him plenty!
"Good evening, Chief Ford. I'm Patrick Huntington. Apparently, you arrested my son tonight." - Dad said, nonchalant.
"Huntington? No, I din't arrest anyone by that name!" - Chief Ford was being difficult. He knew damn well Nate was my brother! I told him so on the first day that we've met!
"My adoptive son, his name is Nathaniel Underwood!" - Dad replied, without losing his charming tone.
"Oh, right! The rapist! Yeah, I arrested him in fact when he came to MY house!" - Chief Ford stated and I felt a sting at hearing him say that. My brother was no rapist. He couldn't hurt a fly, much less his own mate! Not that the Chief would know that.
"My son didn't rape anyone. I'm sure this is all a big misunderstanding!" - Dad said, trying hard to deescalate the situation.
"Well, the law says he did. He's 18 and my daughter is a minor. So..." - Chief stated in his brooding mood.
"Can we talk somewhere privately?" - Dad asked him, politely.
"There's nothing to talk about it! He's 18 years old! Legally, he's an adult!" - Chief replied. He looked pissed.
"Of course, sir, would it be okay if we saw him, please? I'm sure he must be very scared, in need to see his family!" - Dad pleaded instead. He never lost his cool. And I know this was killing him too!
"By all means, I'll take you to see him." - He spoke and we followed him to the Station prison cells.
As soon as Nate saw us, he got up from the bed he was sat and smiled widely.
"Dad, Dan, I'm so glad you're here!" - He exclaimed, relieved to see us. He came to the edge of the bars.
It was difficult to see him behind bars, like some sort of criminal! It was heart breaking!
"I'll leave you to it. You've got 15 minutes!" - Chief Ford warned us and left the cells.
"Don't worry! Your mom already called our lawyer. We'll get you out of here in no time!" - Dad reassured Nate.
"I don't know, dad, these are serious charges! What's going to happen to him?" - I spoke, looking at Nate deeply concerned.
"I don't know yet son, all I know is we will fight this! We'll fight it with everything we have!" - Dad stated with conviction.
"Why did you go see her tonight? Are you crazy?! You know her dad already didn't like you!" - I questioned him, I couldn't stop myself.
"I wanted to show her my support. I din't want her to think she was getting through this alone!" - Nate replied in a deeply saddened tone.
Honestly, I couldn't fault him. I would do the exact same thing if needed be. It was just so hard looking at him from behind bars! That wasn't a scenario I would ever imagine he be in!
"Your lawyer have arrived." - Chief Ford returned to say to us.
"Hold tight, we'll sort this out." - Dad assured him. And we three left together.
Nate looked so disheartened over there, alone in that cell. After all the strength he showed by getting me through my council appeal, I honestly couldn't imagine my life without him! Seriously, if he wasn't gonna be my Beta, there's no point in me being Alpha!
There wasn't a single soul on Earth that I'd rather do this with! I knew I had to get him out, I just had to! I needed my brother by my side, otherwise I just couldn't go on!
