Three days later you helped Yoongi wrestle all the cases into the car and then watched as your uncle's squeezed themselves into the back seat and you piled the rest of the cases around them.
You'd managed to find a pack and ship who dealt in Korean specific shipping with a delivery service Yoongi and Tae agreed on. You and Yoongi had lugged three massive boxes down to the pack and ship and winced when the price tag on the final bill was something only Yoongi's black credit card would want to handle. The pack and ship guy didn't blink however, which caused you to briefly wonder who your neighbors in the other penthouse were.
You drove to the airport and did your best not to sniffle. Yoongi held your hand the entire drive while Jimin and Tae gave him reminders for the next two months. Tae wanted Yoongi to check the fall collections when they came out, which Yoongi immediately did his best to ignore. Jimin asked that you send him new pictures as the seasons changed so they'd know what to pack the next time they came over. That had driven Yoongi to turn around in his seat entirely and stare at Jimin.
"Well Hyung, if you're still in Korea, it'd be a shame to leave that master bedroom empty," said Jimin with his best innocent angel face on and Tae leaned over and grinned with him. You smiled to see the two of them in the rearview but raised your voice to the backseat.
"We know you just want to try out our bathtub instead of your own guys," you said, and Yoongi made an ew face which made all three of you giggle.
Tae spoke up.
"Noona, when are you guys going to call a plumber to get that fixed," he said, and you all laughed.
"Actually," Yoongi said, and you turned your eyes off the traffic for a moment, "I think it makes more sense for them to come in and do the work while we're in Korea for the summer," he finished.
"Less dust and noise, makes sense," you said and nodded in agreement.
Yoongi picked up your hand and placed a kiss on the back of it before letting go so you could use both hands on the wheel to deal with the late-night traffic.
Tae turned to Jimin.
"Jiminie, put a note on our calendar to not come back to Chicago until after construction has completed," said Tae and the car filled with laughter again.
The boys' flight didn't leave until two, so you'd have a mostly empty airport again which you were happy with. You drove up to the dropoff lane and sighed. You were going to miss them so much.
Yoongi went and found a skycap and helped the porter to unload the luggage from the car. Tae and Jimin heaved themselves out of the car and Tae went to argue with Yoongi about who was paying for the skycap in his best uncle voice.
You stood next to Jimin and sniffled. He turned to you, and you saw tears had started in his eyes as well.
"I will miss you Uncle," you said outloud and Jimin stretched out his arms and you did your best to hug him through the prosthetics.
"Take care of yourself and your man until I come see you Jiminie," you sniffled, and he hugged you close.
"Take care of yourself and your man until I see you again, Noona," said Jimin in the same teary voice.
You drew back and smiled at each other, then turned to see the porter had wheeled everything inside and Tae was standing in front of you with his arms out.
"Uncle," you cried out and gave Tae the hugest hug you could manage.
"Do your best to come as quick as you can so I don't have to see sad newlyweds on our video calls (Y/N). I will miss you until I see you next," he whispered in your ear, and you smiled through your tears.
"Tae I will miss you! Please take care of yourself and Jiminssi until I see you again," you said, and you felt him nod.
Tae stepped back and hugged Yoongi, then waited while Jimin did the same. Standing with his arm around you, Tae looked at Yoongi and then back at you.
"Nephew, I agree with this marriage. Niece by marriage, I look forward to seeing your children soon," he said in his booming uncle voice.
You blinked in shock at the announcement, then smiled when you heard Yoongi's chuckle.
"I agree cousin," said Jimin in his best uncle voice, "they will make wonderful children to continue our family's hamburger shop legacy," and with that they walked arm in arm through the doors and into the airport.
Turning to Yoongi you looked at him. He looked at you and you thought you had the same expressions on your face.
"(Y/N), I love you, but you look like Jin's fish again," he said as he leaned down to give you a kiss. You leaned back from his kiss and smiled
"I love you right back Mr. Fish," you said to Yoongi, and you got in the car, your sadness at the boys leaving chased away slightly by Yoongi's smile.
The next few days were spent enjoying the quiet and each other again as you settled back into your normal routine. March had given way to April and you could feel spring in the air. Yoongi mentioned something about spring outfits, and you pointed out that in the spring, clothes lines were debuting their fall/winter collections and then gleefully dragged him around downtown for a walk to take pictures of the windows for Tae.
Even with hats and face masks and sunglasses you were still worried about security, but you checked Dispatch faithfully and there was never a hint that any of BTS had been in the United States.
The first Saturday after Jimin and Tae left was both wonderful and bittersweet. You happily waved to the boys and their voices exploded through the speakers as soon as they connected.
"Noona! What did you do?! This is amazing" exclaimed Jimin and Tae stared at you adoringly through the monitor.
Yoongi smirked and you blushed.
Jin and Hoseok looked confused, but Namjoon had been a coconspirator in your plan and just chuckled.
"Do you like your surprise?" you asked. You had been so nervous after you'd asked Joon and Yoongi for the favor. They had been ecstatic at the idea and had immediately put your plan in motion.
Tae looked at you reverently.
"Noona, you are indeed my favorite niece by marriage now," said Tae, and you and Yoongi laughed.
Jimin picked up the laptop and walked through their bedroom into the newly refinished bathroom, complete with massive tub in the middle of the floor.
Hobseok started to chuckle having heard the towel stories from you and Yoongi both now. Jim smiled to see the boys' reaction to their new bathroom and you thought he looked pleased.
"Maeu gamsahabnida Hyung. Gamsahabnida, Noona," said Jimin and Tae nodded his thanks as well.
You smiled to see that your idea had made the boys so happy, and Yoongi squeezed your hand and leaned over to kiss your hair.
Joon called everyone back to order, and you brought out your laptop to coordinate things. You ran through what you had on the calendar for the guys.
"I'm pushing hard to not schedule anything before 15 June, because I want to make sure Kookie has time to take a breath after he gets out. I don't think it's fair to ask him to be home for a weekend and then get back into BTS-ing," you said looking up and saw six faces nodding back at you.
"Public relations for the army wasn't hard, I guess, but it certainly wasn't a vacation," said Jin, and everyone nodded.
Namjoon looked up from his notebook where he was writing stuff down.
"The last time I got a message from Kook it sounded like he thought they might do early release," he said, and Hoseok looked surprised. You turned to Yoongi, and he explained.
"They don't do that very often, but Jungkookie is always special," he said fondly, and you nodded.
"Ok then I'll push harder to keep anything from encroaching on that date. Right now, it also looks like the film is holding to its schedule," you said before turning to Yoongi.
"I think production will be ready to release you by the middle of May," you told him, and he sat back a little.
"That's sooner than we expected Babygirl," he said frowning. He opened his mouth to say more but Tae's voice interrupted.
"Eyyyy now, no sad newlyweds on video calls for at least two months Noona, you agreed," he whined and Jimin elbowed him in the stomach.
You giggled and leaned onto Yoongi's shoulder when you heard Jin exclaim.
"They did get MARRIED?" and you could hear the freak out in his voice. Exasperated you and Yoongi both turned back to the monitor, but Hobi's laughter filled your speakers, and you could see Jimin giggling in his screen as well.
"Your faces," giggled Hoseok and Yoongi shook his head. Rolling your eyes, you turned to Yoongi and waved your hand.
He sighed before speaking.
"No Hyung, we did not get married. Taehyung is just annoying," he said, and Tae interjected.
"Yet," he said and smiled his angel smile.
You frowned and stuck your tongue out at him, which caused everyone to crack up.
"Mian, Seokjin-nim, apparently our little brother has been dropped on his head much recently," you apologized to Jin with a straight face over Taehyung's yelp of "Noona!" and Yoongi drew you into his side and settled his arm around your waist again.
The call settled down for a second and Joon asked about everyone's schedules. Hoseok cleared his throat and started to speak.
"I think I'll wrap up here in the next week or so, and then if (Y/N) and Yoongi are ok with it I'd love to swing up and see this bathroom I've heard so much about, before I head back home," he said, and you felt Yoongi's grip on your waist tighten and you turned to look at him.
"You ok with Hoba coming to stay (Y/N)," Yoongi asked, and you smiled.
"Your brothers are always welcome in our home," you said as you leaned over to kiss him.
Yoongi laughed.
"You say that now, but wait until all six of us are together, Babygirl," he said, and you heard the answering chuckles come across the speaker.
