Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Fili is a tall man with shoulder-length wavy blond hair and yellow eyes. He has fair skin with a darker blond beard and a small scar on the right side of his lip. He wears a leather necklace featuring a silver, rectangular charm with a Hebrew priestly blessing engraved on it.
While owning the Lucky Clover he wears a green shirt with Kabloom written on it in yellow, dark wash jeans and sneakers. He could often be seen carrying flowers or with leaves in his hair.
After arriving in Pacific Bay he wears clothes similar to his original outfit; jeans, sneakers, a plain green t-shirt, and a brown jacket. When he's bartending at Zoot Up! He wears black pants, a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and a green vest.
After joining the Bureau, he wears a forest green dress shirt with a floral patterned pocket square, a black vest, dark brown slacks plus a belt, and dark boots. He has the compass/clock Adalet had gifted him clipped to his belt along with his gun strapped on the other side. He can also be seen carrying a pilot's hat at times but doesn't wear the rest of the uniform unless he's required to do so.
When he returned to the Bureau after the Africa Region, Fili now wore light-washed jeans and brown work boots, a green button-up with the sleeves rolled past his elbows and left open to reveal his yellow shirt and a brown belt with a small matching bag attached to it that hung against his right hip. He'd revamped his vine accessories with the green ropes wrapped around his forearms with tiny yellow woodsorrel growing on them. He had also made himself a matching vine necklace, and a small sunflower grew from the centre with two little red tulips framing it.
He is the proud owner of an Irish Wolfhound named Dean. Fili loves his dog and isn't shy about spoiling him from time to time.
In his suspect appearance in Jolly Old Killer, it is discovered that Fili knows how to use a gun and chews bubble gum.
After getting married a gold wedding band can be seen on his left ring finger.
In his suspect appearance in Stonehearted, it is discovered that Fili eats Turkish Delights, is superstitious, and has watched Battle Star Wars. He also takes to weaning vines wrapped around his hands and wrists like a hand harness bracelet after the team discovers he's a Mage.
Powers and Abilities
Magic (Ecomancy/Nature Magic)
* Can create any plant he is familiar with and it will have all the properties of an organic version of the plant
* He can grow plants directly out of the ground or from his body. However, if he grows it out of his skin, it hurts slightly when he cuts it off, like the equivalent of a papercut or needle prick. Thankfully the pain disappears almost instantly
* Can grow food-bearing plants like apple trees or potatoes, he isn't just limited to inedible plants
* This also applies to poisonous plants like hemlock
* Or medicinal plants like aloe
* And carnivorous plants
* ... Really as long as it's not extinct he can probably grow it
* Can grow plants in any environment even if the plant is not native to it. Such as growing a cactus in the arctic
* Can create modified or hybrid versions of plants, such as roses that smell like lavender or tulips the size of sunflowers
* Able to grow vines as strong as steel that can support thousands of pounds
* He can communicate with plants and look into their "memories" of recent events
* Can also use plants as a form of surveillance system. It's why he places plants strategically around his home/work to help him watch for intruders
* Is capable of manipulating/controlling a plant's growth from the smallest blade of grass to the largest tree
* His plants can survive for an indefinite amount of time. The only way they'll die is if they are cut, burned, or he reverts their growth
* His plants are also somewhat an extension of himself, so when damage is done to them he feels the pain
* He doesn't sustain any lasting damage or injuries except for phantom pains for a little while. The longest the pain has ever lasted was just over a day after his uncle cut down a tree he had grown not knowing it was one of Fili's. Quinn tore a strip off of her brother after hearing her son scream bloody murder and made her family promise to check with Fili before cutting down any more trees

SOMBRA Enhancements
* Gigantism
* Fili suffered from gigantism as a child, which resulted in him growing at an alarming rate. This is why he is so large compared to the average human male
* Super-strength
* Fili is five times stronger than the average person. After being captured by SOMBRA during season 3, this strength was increased to eight. This also led to his magical abilities becoming stronger, though this is a side effect
* Enhanced Healing
* After SOMBRA captured and experimented on him, they managed to give him an enhanced healing ability. His cells regenerate extremely fast and so he can heal in half the time a normal human would. For example, he recovered from his bullet wound in just a few days after SOMBRA's experimenting
History
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Fili was raised not far from his mother's family farm. He has a lot of cousins on his mother's side, her being from a large family to the point where he's given up trying to remember who's a first cousin and who's a second or further cousin. He just calls everyone who's not an aunt or uncle his cousin and leaves it at that.
When he was young his parents noticed that he seemed to be growing alarmingly quickly and after consulting several doctors and specialists, Fili was diagnosed with a unique form of Gigantism. He suffered through painful growth spurts until scientists from MI6 developed a drug that slowed down his body's production of the growth hormone until his body was fully developed.
Because of his childhood gigantism, Fili suffers from back and joint pain. He manages it well but if he's had a particularly strenuous day, he'll be lucky if he can get out of bed the next day. He always carries a bottle of his prescription painkillers or some muscle relaxants on his bad days. He'll also take advantage of Adalet's heating/cooling abilities when she offers, nothing's more relaxing than a perfectly controlled hot or cold massage.
He joined MI6 after he finished university when he was in his early twenties and was a travelling agent, going wherever a mission took him. After sustaining some minor injuries on a mission, he was ordered to take a couple of years of leave to rest and recover. During this time he moved to Grimsborough and opened his florist shop, The Lucky Clover.
Events of Criminal Case
Season 1
Fili began sending Adalet flowers and love letters anonymously after he watched her dance in The Nutcracker at the Grimsborough theatre.
He makes his debut during Jolly Old Killer while Adalet and Jones are investigating the death of Francisco Cantú. After Jones helped him to confess to Adalet about sending her love notes and flowers, the two soon began dating.
In Meeting the Parents, his father and mother move from England to Grimsborough to live with their son. He also helped his father reconnect with his older half-brother, James, who hadn't seen their father in almost 30 years.
During Love Beyond The Stars, Fili gifts Adalet the case she uses while investigating. The case is an old wooden briefcase he found and refurbished for her, he even hand-painted the Norse symbol Vegvisir and the matching knots on the sides and edges of the case.
In The Ways of Death, it is discovered that Fili is Jewish.
In I Do, I Do, he revealed to Adalet that like his father he works for MI6 and is being sent on an undercover mission immediately. The two of them elope before Fili leaves Grimsborough for the mission. His dog Dean stays in Adalet's care.
Season 2
During the end of Dying for the Gold, Fili arrives in Pacific Bay after being removed from his undercover mission for recovery from injuries he sustained. He is reunited with Adalet and is introduced to Ahmet, the orphan boy his wife had decided to adopt.
Sometime after his arrival in Pacific Bay, Léon Toussaint offers Fili a job at his bar Zhoot Up! In Jazz Town. Fili's just as talented at mixing drinks as he is at drinking them!
During Everybody Needs a Friend, he and Ahmet rescue a Fennec Fox they find injured in Rhine Canyon. After the fox recovered, Ahmet, with help from his parents, adopted the fox and named him Scout.
In Agents of the GIA, Fili is present for the announcement about Adalet being an alien, having been told the secret shortly after his arrival to Pacific Bay alongside his son.
The last time Fili would appear would be when he, Adalet, and Ahmet were leaving Pacific Bay to join the Bureau.
Season 3
During Save The World, Fili served as the Bureau's pilot and was in charge of maintaining the plane (which he named Astra). While he didn't typically work on the front lines as the investigators did, his role was no less important as he was the one who ensured they would reach their destinations on time. But when needed, he would go out into the field and help the Bureau investigate or assist in bringing bodies back to the plane. Regardless of his role, he appeared in most cases in some way, even if it was just a simple cameo.
In Beauty is Dead, Fili played along with his Star's plan to let the Bureau figure out their genderfluid identity on their own. It was fun watching the team (those who didn't already know the truth) try to figure out who Andres was. Of course, if any of the team had issues with Star's gender, they would have issues with him, but thankfully, they all accepted Star for who they were, even if they were very confused by the gender swapping.
Later, during Stonehearted, Fili became a suspect in the murder of Cybele Floros. This was also the case where it was revealed that Fili is a mage, specifically a nature mage. Ever since his magic manifested, he's always had a connection to plants, especially since one of his ancestors was a Dryad. He never told anyone, not even Star, about his abilities, as many supernatural beings like himself hide their true nature for fear of being killed by hunters. Fili has had his fair share of run-ins with supernatural hunters and did his best to avoid them.
Fili becomes an investigator in Valhalla Calling Thee when he and Jack investigate the murder of Star's aunt. And while Fili wished he didn't have to spend so much time in the cold snow, having to relive the memory of him and Star losing their baby, Clover, was much worse. The day of the miscarriage will always be one of the worst days of Fili's life. When Star told him they couldn't hear the baby's heartbeat, Fili was devastated. They had tried so hard to get pregnant, and they both did everything they could to keep Star and the baby healthy, but they still lost Clover. However, with Kára's cure removing the tumour on Star's uterus, their hope for one day having a baby was restored.
Weeks later, Fili got to be an investigator again when he teamed up with Star to solve Bodhi Green's murder. While Fili always enjoys spending time with his spouse, solving a murder wasn't the most romantic date... At least they were able to bring justice to Bodhi by arresting his killer, and they helped restore some power to Chhattisgarh.
In Do You Know Who You Are?, it was discovered that Fili had a modified version of SOMBRA's enchantment serum inside of him, which was later found to be the original formula. Fili couldn't believe that his father had kept the secret of his yellow eyes from him his entire life, but even worse than that was finding out his DNA had been mutated. When Fili had left the plane to go on a walk to cool down, he was ambushed and captured by SOMBRA.
While imprisoned by SOMBRA, Fili was experimented on and tried as an assassin. He doesn't remember many details about the experience due to being under the control of a mind inhibitor chip, but what he does remember is the pain and torture he endured while captured. Eventually, SOMBRA sent him out on his first mission: to take out the Bureau in United In Ashes. But SOMBRA was overconfident and didn't consider that the Bureau would have U.N.I.T. agents to help them take down and rescue Fili.
Once freed from the inhibitor chip and SOMBRA's control, Fili began the long road to recovery, and the Bureau continued hunting down SOMBRA. His family and the Douglases were a big help in Fili's recovery and learning how to use his new strength and powers. While there were accidents and mistakes, no one got hurt, and one day, Fili was cleared to return to the field and rejoin the Bureau.
When he returned to the team, he still couldn't believe that Angela was a SOMBRA agent and that she helped kidnap him. He understood that SOMBRA had raised the woman after losing her parents and that it would have twisted her views of right and wrong. Still, she should have realized after everything they uncovered about SOMBRA that they were the ones in the wrong. But at the end of the day, Angela sided with SOMBRA and turned her back on her family and friends. Something Fili will never forgive her for.
In Out of This World Murder, Fili and the Bureau accompanied Star to the Intergalactic Summit. He had planned to be there to support his spouse, but he didn't think he would have to deal with a drunk Star! At least no one got hurt (besides the victim), and Fili managed to use some magic to sober Star up so they could participate in the Summit by representing Earth. Fili was so proud as he watched Star win the Summit for Earth and was excited for the day Earth would learn about the rest of the universe and become one with it. It gives him hope that maybe one day, the same could happen for the supernatural community.
Later, during the additional investigation for Return to Killer Bay, Fili stood beside his son, watching with pride as Ahmet stood up to Christopher Hanson. He knows the teen had waited a long time to face the man who had abandoned him, and Ahmet showed everyone how much he had grown since his days as an orphan on the streets of Inner City. It was fun watching Christopher flounder under the lecture the teen gave before he was sent away to prison.
Fili would become an investigator for the third time in Call Me, Kill Me, once again with Star as his partner. Investigating Jack's family was hard, and arresting one of their teammate's relatives was even harder, but at least Jack and his parents were able to reconnect. While it was hard for Jack to talk to his parents about being assaulted, Fili was proud of the younger man for telling them.
When it was finally time to face off against SOMBRA for the final battle in The Darkest Hour, Fili doubled up on the plants he had around the plane to keep watch for intruders. Sadly, Angela knew how his plants worked and how to block him from seeing through them. He couldn't believe he had let her get on the plane, but he ensured the cell was extra secure when she was caught. But even with those extra measures in place, the bomb Angela planted still detonated, sending Jonah and Oberon to the hospital.
Still, despite every challenge SOMBRA threw at them, the Bureau came out victorious against them and saved not only the US president but also the whole world! However, their win did not come without sacrifice... The team lost Dupont, and the historian's death hit all of them hard. But the team knows Dupont would want them to keep living their lives and doing what they did best: protecting the world from evil.
Following SOMBRA's defeat, Fili and the Bureau got to celebrate with their families when they all came to New York to see the team. And on top of celebrating that, they also got to celebrate the baby he and Star had on the way. When Star told Fili they were pregnant again, he cried in joy as he held them close. After trying for so long to have a baby, Fili knew that this time, it would happen, and in nine months, they would have a new member of the family. And no matter how hard times might get during those nine months, he would do everything he could to keep Star and the baby safe and healthy. Even if he knows he'll have to endure some strange pregnancy cravings...
