Tom's POV:
Day 20 with love spelled Marco. Things are going great, we've been hanging out a lot! There's 10 days left before the spell wears off. We'll just have to hang out more- yeah. Oh! We should go somewhere today. Hm, where.. maybe somewhere here on Earth? Let me go ask Star what they have here.
I picked up my phone and called Star, she answered.
"Hey Tom! What's up?"
"I wanna take Marco somewhere, here on Earth, but I don't know where. I guess I don't know what really is here at Earth. Can you tell me where I could take him?"
"Didn't Marco take you to Britta's Tacos once? You guys can go there."
"Ohh yeahh! Great idea, thanks Star! Bye!"
"Bye."
I hung up and put my phone away. I made a portal that led to Earth and that led to the outside of Marco's room. Once I got through, I closed it. I knocked on the door of Marco's room.
"Marco! It's me, let's go some place!"
No response. Hm. Strange.
I knocked again. "Marcoo? Are you there?"
No response once again. Weird. Maybe he's not in his room, I should go ask Star.
I went to go look for Star, and she was in her room. "Hey Star, do you know where's Marco?" I asked. Star shook her head no. That's when she closed the door while I was still inside. "Tom. We need to have a serious discussion." Huh? "Uh, sure? What's wrong?" What could possibly be wrong? "Marco-"
"Tom? I'm here! Sorry I was in the kitchen, and I heard your voice coming from upstairs! I'm here now!"
I looked at Star. "Let's talk about this later, okay?"
"But-"
"Okay bye!"
I exited Star's room and had a big smile plastered on my face.
"Marco!" I beamed.
"Tom!" Marco shouted in delight.
"So, let's go hang out at Britta's Tacos! Yeah?"
Marco seemed to like the idea. "Yeah, sure. Let's go!"
"By the way, my treat, I'll pay for both us," I told him.
"No, it's ok! I'll pay!"
"No me."
"No me"
"Marco."
"Okay, okay, I give in!" He laughed.
I sighed and opened a portal that led to Britta's Tacos. Marco went in first and then I did. We got through, so I closed the portal. We walked up to the serving person (I forgot what they're called) and ordered our tacos. I ordered 5 because they're just absolutely delicious! Marco ordered 3. I payed and we sat down on a table.
We began eating our tacos and started talking a bit. "I like being here with you, Marco," I said. A warm smile appeared on his face. "I like being here with you too, Tom. I love you so much. I don't know what I'd do without you!"
I smiled and cringed a little. As we continued taking a bite out of our tacos, I remembered. I kind of wish this wasn't a love spell. Only 10 days till it wears off. I remember when at first, I couldn't wait until that day. Now, I don't want it to come. I just want Marco to love me. You know, without saying so many cringy things and stuff. This love spell really makes Marco cringy and, it makes him over do it sometimes with the whole "I love you" thing.
We finished our tacos and decided to walk back to Marco's house instead of using a portal. We were talking until someone called out Marco's name.
"Hey Marco! Nice to see you and Tom again!"
It was Jackie. Marco's original crush. And I know that once the spell runs out, he'll like her. I don't want him to like her. Just me.
I sighed.
"Oh, hey Jackie! Yeah it's nice to see you too! Also, guess what?" Marco asked her. "What?"
"Tom and I are dating now! That's right!"
Jackie looked shocked at first, but then that shocked expression turned into a happy one. "That's great Marco! Congratulations guys! I'm so happy for the two of you!"
At least she knows that we're in a relationship. She'll know not to go after him if she ever thought that. She'll only consider him as a friend now. Yeah.
"Yep. We are together now," I said.
"I thought you said you'd never get with Marco?" Jackie laughed.
"Hey! That was before!"
Jackie laughed some more. "I'm going to go now, have fun love birds!" With that, she skated away on her skateboard.
"It's always nice seeing people I know when I bump into them," Marco claimed.
We continued walking and talking until we reached Marco's house. We opened the door and headed inside. "I've always liked your house, Marco." Marco smiled. "Thanks!"
Hm, oh yeah! Star said she wanted to tell me something. I feel bad that I cut her off and left. I should talk to her right now.
"Hey, Marco?"
"Yeah?"
"Im gonna go see Star in her room, okay?"
"Okay! Have fun!"
I smiled again and headed upstairs to Star's room. "Im back, Star! What is it that you wanted to tell me?"
Star quickly shut the door. "Okay, Tom. This is very serious. It was wrong of you to ignore me in the first place, but don't ignore me now. This is serious. This is the thing we worried of."
Huh? What is Star talking about? Why is she so, tensed? Did something bad happen? Something that we both worried of? No.. she doesn't mean..
"My bunny's dead?!"
Star looked at me in confusion. "What? No! Your bunny's fine! Gosh-"
Oh thank goodness. "Oh, that's a relief. Sorry. So, you were saying?"
Star grabbed me by my shoulders and looked deep into my eyes. That's totally not weird or terrifying nor creepy at all.
"Marco knows."
Huh?
"What do you mean, "he knows?" What does he know? I don't understand?"
Star sighed. "Tom! It's what we've tried to be careful of hiding! Something that he's not supposed to know!"
Something we tried to be carful of hiding that he isn't supposed to know? Wait.. she couldn't possibly mean.. we were so cautious though!
"Marco knows that he's under a love spell, Tom."
...
No. He- he can't. He isn't supposed to know! He isn't! No, no, no, no, NO.
"This is a joke, right?"
"No, Tom. Marco knows. He knows!"
Fuck! He's not supposed to know! There are dangers into him knowing!
"This is the reason why he's been acting so weird, Tom!. All those time he shut himself in his room were because he was learning more about his spell!"
"It's dangerous for him to know! You know that, I know that!" I yelled.
"Tom it's going to be ok! We'll just- maybe he'll be alright if he doesn't know that we know!" Star reassured.
"I- I need to go think. I'll come back.."
"Tom, wait!"
I headed to Star's door and opened it. There stood, Marco. He was outside, listening the whole time. He was smiling.
"Of course I know sillies. Why would you think that I'd never find out? It was very wrong to keep this secret from me. Out of all people, I should've be told first. Don't you think?"
