can you look into the mirror and fully recognize yourself? over the years people change, it can range from good or bad.
you may look into your reflection and not notice yourself at all. the person you once knew had been aggressively grabbed and taken out of your reach.

walking out of the house you made sure to close the door softly. grabbing onto your keys you came up to the red car. raising your hand you pushed it forward. the key to your house made contact with the car's window. as you hit it for the second time it cracked falling into pieces.
you weren't mad. although it may have seemed like that, it wasn't.
if the girl didn't have a car, then how would she get to school? cora hated taking the bus as it was 'gross and dangerous'. she also hated walking to school, she relied on her car. so why not take it away?
opening your car door you leaned down. shuffling through the glovebox you grabbed the small black object. before you got out of the car you grabbed a random piece of paper.
holding the sheet in front of your face you brought up your other hand. your thumb slid down on the object you held. you watched as small sparks flew around before a small flicker of fire was formed.
tilting the lighter towards the paper, the flame quickly engulfed the edge before moving up to burn everything in its path.
moving your hand to the broken window you placed the burning paper onto the passenger's seat. once you did, the flame instantly caught onto the cloth and started to spread throughout the passenger's seat.
smiling, you turned around and got into your car. after starting your vehicle you leaned onto the steering wheel and watched.
the flame grew bigger as it traveled around the material that was all around the car. as each seat began to burn and peel the rest of the windows shattered from the heat.
backing out of the driveway you continued to watch the fire grow bigger and stronger. if the female didn't notice her car was on fire, then it would be such a shame. because next was her house.
speeding down the street you drove straight past your house. sitting in silence was annoying so you lifted your hand pressing a button on the radio. when you did christmas music came on.
furrowing your eyebrows you realized christmas was coming up. the day of gifts and presents. the whole month of parents lying to their child about a man who broke into your house to leave gifts.
in all honesty you liked christmas, but not for the reason you're thinking. it wasn't to hang out with your family and open gifts. you could be labeled as santa clause, but of course a superior and a female one. you gave gifts of truth.
turning the radio off you decided to drive in silence.
most people would think you would be at home with a bulletin board. printing pictures of people and sticking them up there. wrapping yarn around thumbtacks revealing crimes like an investigator.
but you used your free time wisely. by wisely you mean going to the beach and just sitting in the sand. you could watch the waves for hours and never get bored. the only time you would get up to leave is when it was too late.
passing by many buildings you started to hum a song to yourself. the silence was boring but that's the price you pay for leaving your phone at home.
taking a sharp right you pulled into a small parking lot. and thankfully it was empty. getting out of the car you quickly rushed down the small steep hill.
before you let your legs move into the sand you took off your shoes. stepping forward the warm but burning grains of sand covered your foot. the pain didn't faze you as you kept walking not caring. it was towards the end of the day, so soon it would be night. and that was always the best time to just sit back and watch.
taking a seat in the sand you placed your shoes next to your legs. closing your eyes you let the noise of waves crashing fill your ears. taking in a deep breath you let the salty smell settle in.
you could feel the sun barely touching your skin as it hid behind a cloud. the feeling was warm but it washed away as a gust of wind came through.
opening your eyes you noticed how drastically the sun went down. once the day comes to an end the sun seems to go away quickly. which was weird considering the day seemed to drag out long. but right as seven o'clock hit, the bright light seemed to run down behind the clouds.
"fancy meeting you here."
the voice was deep and raspy, it instantly settled in your mind and took recognition. taking a quick glance at the male you shook your head "i was the one who showed you this place"
scrunching his nose up, he took a seat next to you. "well it's mine now"
crossing your arms against your chest you let the breeze cover your body like a blanket before speaking. "no way in hell! i'm gatekeeping it."
chuckling eren lifted his hand and began to draw in the sand. he made little shapes but soon destroyed it by wiping his hand across it. "too late for that"
raising your hand you pointed at the parking lot that was located behind you two "no it's not, go away"
ignoring your playful comment the male leaned back letting his body rest on the sand. looking up at the sky he watched as the moon finally made its appearance.
while eren focused on the sky beginning to fall to night, you focused on the waves that started to get bigger. the sound they made was louder making it worth coming here.
turning your head around to look at eren you couldn't help but let your eyes roam around.
his eyes were shut as he quietly listened to the sounds around him. this time his hair was down letting it fall to the ground below him. his outfit was simple as it looked comfortable. a jacket with sweatpants. his breathing slowed as he started to take in deep breaths.
smiling you looked away. brining your body down you laid down next to him. "you better not be falling asleep on me."
at the sound of you speaking to him, eren opened his eyes turning his head to look at you "i'm not, i was just resting my eyes"
letting out a small laugh you tilted your head to the side trying to get a better view of the sky "resting my eyes, my ass"
"i'm serious i was!"
shaking your head in disagreement you let a feeling rush over your body. what was it, fulfillment?
scrunching your eyebrows together you let out a sigh at the feeling. over the past two days your body has rushed this feeling around. you were clueless to what it was but couldn't help but wonder.
maybe just this once, cora was right.
not wanting to dawn on it you pushed the weird but happy feeling away.
eren smiled lifting his hand to point at the sky "look that star is pretty."
blinking you squinted your eyes "they all look the same?"
laying his left arm down he waved his hand for you to come closer "come here"
scooting your body over you were welcomed into his grasp. you layed your head onto his shoulder. his left hand wrapped itself around your stomach as his right hand pointed at the sky "see it now?"
moving your head to his chest you followed his finger and were met with a star. although they all looked the same this once looked different. it was brighter, bigger almost. it caught your eye in a good way.
nodding your head eren cheered as you could see what he was talking about.
you layed on erens chest as your eyes roamed around the sky. his arm was wrapped around your figure as you both layed there in silence. a comforting silence. you both were engulfed in each other's heat, as you both listened to each other breathing.
the males chest heaved up and down making your head lift slightly but it didn't bother you. his heartbeat made its way to your ear as you listened closely to it.
the small action was deemed platonic by you.
but who knew what the future held for you both.
who knew it was possible to watch yourself shatter by your own hands.
