"What are you doing here on your holiday?" Sunny asked while giving him cup of tea who was lying half on on the bean bag half on the floor.
"I asked you to add extra sugar in my tea. Ye kaisi chai banayi hai?" Virat complained
"Ek baat bataiye janab (tell me one thing my dear fellow) what exactly do you have in your mind?" he asked
"Kya? I wanted extra sugar!" Virat replied while sipping his coffee
"I am talking about Sai! You have given her a comfortable house. She is liking it to. What else do you want to do now?"
"I want her to focus only on studies right now. I don't want her to waste time in doing peculiar jobs" Virat said
"Oh!! Bhai mere!! You are government employees not a billionaire. You are already paying two loans. Don't tell me you are going to set up fake office for her" Sunny satirically said
"You can only think of such stupid things! Though I wasn't thinking about that but it's not a bad idea" He devilishly smiled
"Use all your contacts and find the highest paying with minimum working hours and minimum workload type of job for her" He excitedly got up
"You can take Mohit's help"
"Obviously who else will support you in your brilliant plans" Sunny Sarcastically said
"It's my gym time. See you later" He checked his watch
"You have perfectly scheduled your timings with her" Sunny taunted
"Kya?? It's just a coincidence okay!" He defended.
Sunny peeked out of his window. He saw Sai walking towards the building. He knew Virat intentionally leaves for the gym so that he can pretend to be seeing her coincidentally. He even knew if he confront Virat about it he will surely says that he does this to assure she is doing fine. He will name it as his care and responsibility for her. But somewhere Sunny knew it wasn't just a care it was going something beyond. He knew that the road his friend was walking was full of thorns, he might end up hurting himself. He wanted to stop his friend but can anyone really stop the plans of destiny?
Here unaware of his own feelings Virat walked down the stairs. While Sai, tangled in her life walked up. They bump into each other. Sai looked at him. They had a second eye contact but she ignorantly walked ahead.
"Don't you ask what am I doing here?" Virat teasingly said
"Why should I ask that?" She said
"I thought you might say that I am stalking on you. But let me tell you I can say the same. I was going to my gym. Don't know about you? Are you following me?" Virat said
"Why would I do that?"
"How can I know? But You can do that!" Virat teasingly said
"Waise, Do you live here?" Virat asked
"I recently shifted" Sai uninterestingly said
"Ohhhh. . . .Why? Did you fight with your previous landlord?" Virat tried to bring innocence on his face.
"Yeah, I don't have anything else do to no? Only you can think of such bizarre thing"
"Nahi you love fighting with people. Remember in Gadchiroli how you. . " He stopped in the middle. The little mention of that place was enough to bring back the flashbacks of whole series of incidents that happened in Gadchiroli in their minds. He noticed flare of sadness on her face. She too noticed something similar on his face.
Just for a moment she thought from his side. His eyes had unfamiliarly familiar hurt and pain. In that moment she didn't felt any anger for him.
'Does that mean he is also suffering like her?' She thought.
There was an awkward silence between them. He struggled to find words while she thought of escaping from his words.
"You shouldn't be wasting time like this. Utilize your Sunday to study" Virat said after a long pause
His words moistened her eyes. His words, his tone were similar to her Aaba.
"No one can be like your Aaba. Stop your illogical thoughts" She scolded herself.
"I am reminding you once again please don't act like you know me" She shielded her thoughts with her anger.
"But I do know you" He replied
"You knew my Aaba not me" she fiercely said and walked ahead
Virat realised he only knew her as Kamal sir's daughter but who really Sai was? Do he really want to know her? Can he do that? Was it right?
