Sasuke and Sakura were on the plane back to Konohagakure. Sasuke drifted off into slumber...
"Sasuke, Sasuke!" a voice called being him. Sasuke whipped his head around to see Naruto when he was 20. Sasuke held his arms open uncontrollably, but Naruto ran right past him, and ran into the arms of a shadow. Sasuke turned around. "Naruto-" Sasuke stuttered, but Naruto turned around and started crying. Naruto ran towards Sasuke punching him. "You! You broke me!" Naruto screamed.
"NO!" Sasuke screamed, sitting up. "Are you okay, Sauke-kun?" Sakura asked, patting his back. Sasuke caught his breath, and was relieved to see they were almost there.
Naruto woke up in Karins bed. Karin said that he needed to get used to sleeping alone, so he slept alone in Karin's bed while Karin slept on the floor. Naruto got up, and made his way to the balcony. Naruto felt free now that he broke up with Sasuke. Instead of Sasuke being so cold and mean everyday, Naruto would be in the presence of his only family, Karin. Quietly, Naruto got out of bed, and was very careful not to wake up the sleeping redhead. Naruto went onto the balcony. The morning breeze flew around; Naruto took a deep breath of chilly spring air.
Naruto spent the day with Karin, having fun and getting over Sasuke. "Let's go to that park over there!" Karin yelled as she and Naruto raced over to the old playground. "Oh.." Naruto put his head down. "What is it?" Karin asked. "Me and Sasuke went here all the time. It was our spot." Naruto said weakly. Karin sighed, and patted Naruto on the back. "Let's go to the ice cream shop." Karin suggested
Sasuke was more then tired, and was dizzy from all the jet lag. "Naruto, I'm home!" Sasuke called, but there was no response. "Naruto must have gone out," Sasuke predicted. The moment Sasuke stepped in, he knew something was wrong. He had a uncanny feeling, and the moment he stepped in the halls, he felt like he was being consumed by darkness. The house felt eerie, and abandoned. Sasuke gulped as he entered his room. The first thing Sasuke noticed was that Naruto's bright orange pillow wasn't there, and some of his clothes were missing. 'He must have slept over at the Hyugas.' Sasuke thought. Sasuke looked out the windows. It was already midnight. Sasuke stepped in the shower, and was drowned into his thoughts. 'How will I break it to Naruto? "I'm sorry, I don't love you?" No, too harsh. "Let's break up?" Maybe that's too short.' Sasuke thought. Sasuke got out of the shower, but stopped at the bed. There was a pile of a variety of red flowers. What caught Sasukes eye the most was the ring. There was the Uchiha ring placed on a piece of paper. Sasuke took the letter and the ring.
Sasuke,
You smiled, but not for me. You smiled for her. You were my first love, first time, first kiss, first everything. But now the tables have turned. You will be my last.
I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for you. I guess that I never really was good enough. I get why you chose Sakura. She's pretty, rich, and she can give you a heir. I am just a broke and average person. You had every right to choose her over me. Remember when you told me you would always love me? I guess it was a lie, but really, I know you loved me at one point. But if you really did love me, you would not cheat, you would let me go.
Remember when we were in high school? You always said you would surpass Itachi and become the heir instead of him. You were right. Everyone laughed, but I supported you. I truly love you. Sasuke saw that water droplets were starting to form on the paper, that's when he realized he was crying. He placed the ring in a box. 'So, Naruto left me. I wanted that so I could marry Sakura... Right?' Sasuke thought. Sasuke felt his words cracking, and his tears dropped rapidly. 'This has to be a prank!' Sasuke thought as he dug into the closet. No. Naruto's things were indeed not there. Sasuke ran out of the room, and checked every corner of the house. No Naruto was there though. Sasuke dropped to his knees. 'Why am I crying...' Sasuke thought as he wiped his tears.
That's when it struck him. He felt bored with everything, not just Naruto. That's because he was complete. He had it all. He was rich, had a famous company, and had a love. His puzzle of life was complete. But without Naruto, a piece of him disappeared. Sasukes world came crashing down. "Naruto!!!" Sasuke screamed. Sasuke was determined to have Naruto again, but now that he knew his puzzle piece, he wouldn't ever let it go. Sasuke grabbed his phone to see that Naruto had deleted his contact. Sasuke also noticed that all of Narutos friends contacts were missing as well. Sasuke then started searching for anyone in his contacts who has connections with Naruto, but he stopped as he saw a familiar name still in his contacts. 'Karin Uzumaki'. Before Sasuke could press message, a pinkette called him. Sasuke picked up, annoyed. "What do you want?" Sasuke asked coldly. "Did you break it to that dumb, pathetic blond?" Sakura asked. Sasuke felt his face heating up in anger. "Shut up Sakura! Your fired, and we are over! Don't ever call me again! I don't ever want to see your ugly face again!!" Sasuke screamed, as he hung up. Sasuke threw himself in the bed, with pouring tears. No matter how hard he tried to sleep, he couldn't sleep without Naruto beside him.
"N-Naruto-kun." a voice called. Naruto woke up to see the figure of a man. Hinata Hyuga. "Hinata?" Naruto asked with sleepy eyes. "Naruto! Wake up!" Karin yelled as she pushed Naruto off the bed. "Karin?" Naruto groggily said. "You're going to live with Hinata from now on!" Karin screamed in his ear. Naruto jumped, and then grabbed his bags. "Thank you for everything, Karin!" Naruto yelled. Karin gave her cousin a hug, and reassured him everything would be okay. "Thank you, Karin-san!" Hinata smiled.
"Your room will be the one on the left. Are you hungry?" Hinata asked. "Yes- I mean a little.." Naruto uttered. Naruto rushed to his room, and started unpacking. "Sasuke... just you wait! I'm better off without you! You will know what you lost!" Naruto determined.
"You're a great cook, Hinata!" Naruto complimented as he scrammed down the noodles. "Thank you, Naruto-kun!" Hinata thanked.
Sasuke felt miserable. He felt eerie and empty. Sasuke's phone called a number; Karin's number. "Hello?" The redhead asked. "Karin. Where is Naruto?" Sasuke demanded. "Sasuke. Naruto wishes to never see you again. So please." Karin informed. Sasuke slammed the phone down. "Sasuke, open up!" Suigetsu screamed. Sasuke opened the door, and Suigetsu came running in. "What do you want?" Sasuke asked. Suigetsu ran towards the TV, and inserted a news tape. "You have to see this!" Suigetsu exclaimed as he played the tape.
"What are your reactions to Sasuke Uchiha cheating on you? "I-I... I've suspected it for a while. Since almost two years ago." "What do you have to say to Uchiha when he comes back?" "Sasuke, when you see this, I want you to know, I'm strong. My broken heart pieces may belong to you, but soon enough, someone better will come along. I hope your happy. Stay happy for me. Don't try to find me and apologize. It won't be good for your image."
Sasuke could not believe his ears. "Bad for my image, huh?" Sasuke said sarcastically. "Suigetsu, get the car. We are going to Karin's place." Sasuke ordered. "Aye, aye!" Suigetsu exclaimed as they drove off.
"Sasuke?" Karin asked weakly. "Where is Naruto?" Sasuke repeated. Karin shook her head. She had hidden her feelings for Sasuke away, but seeing him again was causing those feelings to resurface. "No! Your just a scumbag who cheated on my cousin! I hate you! Naruto doesn't want to see you!" Karin screamed. Sasuke glared at her, but Karin felt her legs shaking weakly. Karin used her remaining strength to slam the door as hard as she could.
Sasuke crashed back at his house. 'Is it really over?' Sasuke thought weakly. He resorted to wine. He took out 3 bottles of whiskey and chugged it all down.
Naruto was drinking a warm cup of coca and reading a book of quotes. "Sasuke.."Naruto whispered uncontrollably. "No! Sasuke is a scumbag! I hate him, no, I can't say that can I?" Naruto mummered. Naruto indeed still loved Sasuke to the fullest. "Sasuke... why did you have to ruin my life like this?" Naruto asked, knowing that he wouldn't get an answer. Naruto started crying uncontrollably. Naruto started sobbing, and then he buried himself in the covers. Naruto couldn't bear suffocating himself like this. Naruto got up, and wandered down the long halls. Naruto stopped at the balcony. The night spring air rushed through, and Naruto stepped out onto the balcony. The night sky was shimmering off of the glowing moon. The sound of trees rustling echoed. Naruto looked into the endless stream of trees. The night was chilly, but enjoyable. Naruto stared up at the glistening moon. "I used to think that I was the sun, and Sasuke was my moon. I thought that he couldn't live with out me and I couldn't live without him, just like how the moon needs the sun to shine, and the sun needs the moon to rest." Naruto said to himself. Narutos tears were blowing with the wind, and the curtains were blowing all over the place. Naruto took in a deep breath of cold air, and let it out. Naruto thought of the time Sasuke and him slept outside under the moon. Naruto let his tears fall, he finally let Sasuke go. He felt free, yet he felt miserable. He had loved Sasuke blindly for 5 years. "I will always love you, Sasuke. You will always be a piece of me." Naruto looked into the never ending horizon.
Naruto woke up due to the sound of sizzling. Naruto rushed to see what that sizzling noise was. "Oh, bacon! Can I have some?" Naruto asked. "Of course, Naruto-kun." Hinata answered. Naruto smiled, then sat down. "Hinata, I have had enough of moping. I wont ever get over this heart break. I'm going to get a job. I'll try to help you pay the bills." Naruto informed. "Naruto-kun, I'm filthy rich-" Hinata started. "That doesn't mean I can take advantage of it." Naruto shot back. Hinata sighed. He had no counter to Naruto's reason. Naruto finished his breakfast, and started walking through the streets.
Naruto kept walking until he found a familiar place. 'Uchiha Inc.' The letters read. Naruto shook his head, but he spotted Sakura coming out of the massive building, carrying a box. "Oh... it's you..." Sakura muttered. "Hi, Sakura. I hope you can give S-Sasuke t-the love he needs," Naruto stuttered. Naruto couldn't help but shed a tear. "What do you mean?" Sakura asked curiously. "I wasn't able to give Sasuke love forever... More like he didn't accept it," Naruto cried. Sakura stared Naruto dead in the eyes. "You know, there's something very charming about you, I feel like I'm being drawn in to you," Sakura explained. "Oh? Thank you, Sakura." Naruto smiled. 'This kid is still able to smile even after all that he's been through, huh? He is truly one in a million...' Sakura thought. "Naruto Uzumaki, I have seen how Sasuke treated you, you didn't deserve that after all. I have to admit, when I first saw Sasuke, I thought it was fate, but his heart was captured in your blue eyes. I was jealous, I wanted Sasuke to be mine. I always thought the was so cool, with all the money and looks. In the end, I successfully snatched his heart, but I regret it. I should have known it was a double edged sword. I ended up stabbing my heart, along with yours. I'm sorry Naruto." Sakura informed with tears in her eyes. Naruto was shocked. "Sakura Haruno, Money can't buy love, and looks aren't everything. I didn't have a care in the world when I fell in love with Sasuke Uchiha. Under all of those cold looks was kindness and determination to beat his brother. I loved him when he was nothing. I was a fool though. Love really can be blind, but in the end, it's worth it. You know that story about the doctor that fell in love with his dying patient? He had no regret in loving his patient even when his love of his life was gone. It really was worth it, no matter how bad it hurts." Naruto sobbed. Sakura was crying, and Naruto was sobbing. "Naruto, you are really wise, you know that?" Sakura smiled. A grey limo pulled up. "I have to go, but here's my number. Call me anytime..." Sakura said, waving goodbye.
"Love is worth it after all..." Naruto smiled.
