Aizawa slowly woke up in the middle of the night, yawning softly, as he looked up at his tv. The film was still playing. The ravenette rubbed his tired eyes and yawned once more before going to sit up to only be stopped when he felt a weight on his chest. "Hm?" He hummed quietly as he looked down at the sleeping blonde. Shota smiled ever so softly as he lay still, making sure not to wake him. The raven relaxed as he watched the rest of the movie, turning his tv off after it had finished. 'I should probably move him off me but I don't want to wake him..' Aizawa thought to himself and he let another soft yawn escape him.
The raven was snapped from his thoughts as he felt Hizashi move slightly above him. The blonde stirred a little and gently nuzzled his face into Aizawa's chest before immediately falling back to sleep. This, making Shota blush darkly and his eyes widen.
Aizawa shook his head, fighting back his blush, as he gently moved Yamada over to the other side of his bed. Making sure not to wake the sleeping blonde, he got out of bed and pulled the covers over him. Yamada whined softly in his sleep and reached out to grab Shota. The ravenette tilted his head slightly before handing the blonde one of his pillows. He watched as Hizashi immediately hugged the pillow and held it close to him, nuzzling his face into it. He looked so calm and content laying there as he hugged one of his pillows with that dumb smile of his.
Shota quietly went left his room and went downstairs. Been as quiet as possible, he grabbed himself a glass of water and some last night snacks. He grabbed extra just in case Hizashi woke up too and wanted a midnight snack. Before finally grabbing his school bag and heading back up to his room. He walked into his room, kicking the door shut behind him, he placed everything on his desk. Aizawa looked over at Hizashi and smiled a little when he saw Ziggy fast asleep, laying on top on the blonde.
Shota could help the small chuckle that left his lips as he sat down at his desk. The ravenette went into his bag and took out his homework that they both had gotten that day. He set it down on his desk and took a sip of his water before getting to work on the questions. Shota was used to waking up in the middle of the night like this. No matter how tired he was he was never able to get back to sleep no matter how hard he tried.
Aizawa yawned and rubbed his tired eyes before going back to his homework. He opened one of his many snacks and began eating it, sighing when he got stuck on one of the questions. English has always been something Shota has struggled with but he's never bothered to ask for help because he didn't want to show any weakness or come across as "weak" to anyone. The raven rested his head on his desk in defeat, groaning when he couldn't get his head around the question.
Aizawa sat up and ate the rest of his snack before leaning back in his chair. Closing his eyes, he let out a long sigh as he relaxed and crossed his arms over his chest. He stayed like that for a moment, taking in the sweet silence and he couldn't stop the soft smile that crept onto his lips. The raven let his mind wonder about anything he could think of. Soon enough, his mind fell to Hizashi. He started thinking about what happened at the Yamada house after school.
'Why was 'Zashi's father acting like that? I've never seen him so..scared. I don't want to question him about it though. It's not my place.' The ravenette thought to himself and sighed. Aizawa was snapped from his thoughts and slowly opened his eyes, looking over at Hizashi when he heard a noise. Shota tilted his head when he saw the blonde move around in his sleep. "Yamada?" He muttered but there was no response so he just shrugged it off and took another sip of his water.
"N...no.." Yamada mumbled in his sleep as he started tossing and turning.
"Hm?" Aizawa hummed softly, turning his attention back to Hizashi. The raven gets up from his seat at his desk and goes over to the blonde. He sat down next to Yamada and looked down to see the larger teen crying and in a hot sweat, mumbling in his sleep. He was having a nightmare.
Shota started to panic. He wasn't sure what to do when someone was having a nightmare or in this sort of state. The raven gently shook Yamada, trying to wake him up. "Yamada." He muttered as he shook him but failed to wake the teen up. "Hizashi." He said a little louder and shook Yamada a little harder. The young blonde jolted awake, sitting up in a blind panic. He looked over at Aizawa and screamed while activating his quirk without meaning to before falling off the bed. The panicking teen backed himself up until his back hit the wall and he hugged his knees.
"P-please don't hurt me! I-I promise I'll do better!" Hizashi yelled and sobbed into his hands.
"'Zashi, sh, it's just me. I'm not going to hurt you." Aizawa reassured him and sat down in front of him.
"Sh-Sho?" Hizashi muttered as he looked up at see Aizawa sat down in front of him. "I..I'm so sorry."
"It's okay 'Zashi. It was just a nightmare. You're okay, you're safe." The raven said calmly and moved next to Hizashi before pulling him into a gentle hug. The blonde returned the embrace and buried his face into Shota's chest, crying into the raven's chest. Aizawa held the crying blonde close to him and shushed him softly while gently rubbing Yamada's back. They stayed that way for a moment until Shota had an idea. "I've got some midnight snacks if you want some and we can watch all your favourite movies." The raven said softly with a reassuring smile.
Hizashi slowly lifted his head up from Aizawa's chest and wiped his tears away. "Y-yeah..I'd like that.." he muttered with a small nod. Shota gently lifted Yamada off the floor as he got to his feet.
"You like Disney films, right?" The ravenette asked as he set Hizashi back down on his bed. The blonde simply nodded and rubbed the back of his neck, feeling embarrassed at his sudden outburst. "I'll bring them to you and you can decide the order we watch them." The raven said before going over to his shelves and taking down all of the Disney films he had. Which was a lot of them. He walked back over to Hizashi and sits down next to him before putting all of the movies in front of them. "Which one first?" Shota asked as he looked over at Yamada.
"Can.. Can we watch Lion King first?" Hizashi asked timidly with a small smile.
"Sure." Shota said and put the film on, tidying the rest of the films away next to hie bed. The raven for the snacks before sitting back down next to Hizashi. "Have as much as you like." The smaller teen said with a comforting smile.
They both watched the movie, side by side, as they ate all of their midnight snacks. There were many times when Aizawa wanted to ask Hizashi what his dream was about to make him react the way he did. But then again, he felt as though it wasn't his place. He did however wanted to make sure that his friend was okay. 'Not tonight though..he needs to calm down. I never want to see him in that state again but in order to help him I need to know whats happening. I'll ask him about it tomorrow.' Aizawa thought to himself before being shook away from them and back to reality.
The ravenette looked over at Hizashi and tilted his head slightly, showing the larger teen had his full attention. "Can, uh..." Hizashi started as he rubbed the back of his neck, slightly embarrassed for what he was about to ask. "Could you..h-hold me? Like we were earlier." The young blonde asked and blushed darkly, his face becoming red. Aizawa sat there for a moment in shock at the other teen's request, trying to fight back his down blush that crept onto his face.
"U-Uh.." he started but was cut off.
"Sorry, you don't have to answer that! It was a stupid question.." Hizashi interrupted Shota with a soft sigh before turning his attention back to the movie. Aizawa could see how embarrassed Yamada was to ask something like that. If he was being honest he liked being close to Hizashi like that. He normally doesn't like to be hugged or held by anyone but with Hizashi he was different. The raven couldn't understand or tell why but being held by him gave him a nice warm feeling in his chest and the damn blonde never failed to make him smile.
Aizawa rolled his eyes and lay down next to the larger teen, slowly opening his arms out. "Come here you big fuckin' goofball." He said with a soft smile, not caring to hold it back or try to hide it. Hizashi turned and looked back at Shota in a little shock. He quickly pushed the shock away and smiled brightly at the small ravenette before tackle-hugging him. Yamada laughed softly and gently nuzzled his face into the smaller teen's chest as Aizawa slowly wrapped his arms around the blonde.
"You should smile more often, Sho. Looks good on you." Hizashi said softly before closing his eyes and relaxing into the other. Aizawa looked down at Yamada for a moment, pondering over his comment. He hesitated for a moment before entangling his fingers in the larger teen's blonde hair, causing a soft hum to emit from said blonde next to him.
'I am going to be your hero, that I promise 'Zashi..'
