Athena's pov
Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I mean who wouldn't love it being surrounded by people you love the most enjoying the company of one another.
Six hours till midnight six hours till Christmas day six hours till I can finally let out the truth.
It's killing me not saying anything but I needed to make sure everything was good. I walk out of the shower the cool air hitting my skin making me shiver a bit. "Bambina your brothers are almost here" Lucky says as I walk out seeing him sprawled on the bed.
"Yeah yeah it's nothing big, everyone is comfortable" I go into my closet putting on a pair of black leggings with an oversized crewneck and slippers.
Lucky stays sprawled out on the bed as I lay next to him putting my head in his chest. The comforting scent of rosewood hits my nose, making me look up and smile at him. "I love you Amore''
"I love you more bambina" He places a small kiss on my lips before we both decide to go downstairs. Santos fights with Leo while Enzo and Bianca watch them both trying to tackle each other.
I pull Bianca aside making sure no one is around us. "I didn't tell Enzo I put the paperwork in a locked file cabinet. Here are your pictures already wrapped and you have the stick" She tells me handining me the wrapped presents.
"Thank you so much Bianca I don't think I could have done this without you" I hug her as she returns it. "It was no trouble trust me I love these things that why its my job"
We went back to the living room seeing everyone else came. I sit next to Lucky laying my head on my shoulder with my feet up at the end of the couch. I feel so tired I just want to sleep.
My back starts hurting causing me to stir around to find comfort. "You alright?" Lucky ask, noticing my discomfort. My lower back is killing me more than ever.
I feel my head starting to pound and the light bothering my eyes. I close them, hiding my face in Lucky back uncomfortable. "Bambina what's wrong?" He asks again.
Fuck I need to lay down and not just to sleep. "I'll be back just get me in like two hours" I tell him before going upstairs to lay back down.
The bed sinks in creating a better feeling on my back. I make sure the room is pitch black to help remove this headache before drifting into a light slumber.
Lucky's pov
It's already 10:00. It's been three hours since Athena went upstairs. I make my way upstairs to see her arms wrapped around my pillow as light snores fill up the room.
Sitting on the edge of the bed I rub her back as she moves around laying her head on my legs. "Bambina you've been sleeping for three hours already" I continue to rub her back as she groans and opens her eyes. "How do you feel now?" I ask her as she sits up rubbing her eyes.
"Better" She moves her hair off her face pulling it back to her usual ponytail. "Amore you still love me right?" She asks with worry in her eyes tears building up.
"Forever and always you know that dont cry baby" I wipe the tears that fell on her face. If only she could understand how much love I have for her.
It grows more and more everyday. I wrap my arms around her as she buries her head in my neck. Her breath starts to even out telling me she's either falling asleep or calming down. "Come on babe" I encourage her to come with me downstairs and she complies.
Sitting on the couch everyone continues their conversation. I grab my drink offering Athena some but she declines it. Not thinking much of it, I continue to drink it while she talks to Mia about some clothing line.
Soon enough it hits midnight and all the kids come rushing downstairs asking to open their gifts. I don't know how they convinced them to let them open up but they started screaming in excitement when their parents said yes.
Gifts get thrown around the room as people open them satisfied with what they received.
Athena's pov
"Mom, dad this is my gift to you" Santo says pulling up the side of his shirt showing a fresh tattoo.
The symbol of adoption with mine and Lucky's name on each side. "Oh my god" I look at the ink on the side of his chest. I can't help but smile at the symbol my heart feels full knowing he cares so much to put it permanently on his skin.
"Santo now you have to get my name duh" Adri tells him while picking up a marker trying to draw on his arm. "Adri how you have Mia's name on you and she has yours why would Santo put your name" Leo smacks the side of his head as he starts mumbling under his breath.
Everyone quiets down as I hand Lucky and Santos the wrapped paper. "You have to open it at the same time" I tell them and they both slowly unwrap the paper revealing a black box.
They open the box and both of them widen. The box consisted of a positive pregnancy test and a picture of an ultrasound. "No fucking way your lying" Santo says first dropping the box keeping the ultra sound and pregnacy test in his hand.
"I'm not lying Santo" I tell him looking Lucky. The tears come from his eyes as he smiles looking at them.
Leo takes the ultrasound from Santo with his eyes widening. "She's pregnant" Everyone looks at the picture. I take off the oversized hoodie leaving a crop top under. You can see my stomach developing as everyone jumps with excitement.
"Were having a baby" Lucky asks me with a smile on his face. "Yeah Amore were having a baby" I tell him as he pulls me in for a hug. Throwing my arms around his neck he hugs tight but not too tight to hurt my stomach. "I love you Athena" He whispers in my ear
"I love you more Lucky" I tell him with a permanent smile on my face. He places a small kiss on my lips before looking at my stomach.
It's not huge but it's not small either. I would say a normal sized stomach for three months. I'm just glad I kept it hidden this long. I thought he would notice or think something was wrong as to why I would always be wearing something oversized or was sleeping earlier. He showed his love and didn't let any of that bother him.
"How many months are you?" Mia asks as Lucky's starts to rub my stomach. "3 months" I lean my head on his shoulder as the questions keep on coming.
"You're not going to the warehouse," Adri says, making me confused. "Why wouldn't I go?"
"I don't think anyone else should know that you're pregnant. You can do the paperwork from here but going over there I won't let you. '' He defends himself and I feel the anger in my veins.
"Im pregnate not fucking disabled" I shoot back burning holes in his skin. "Sorry to burst your bubble but I agree with him" Sandro takes his side making me huff in annoyance.
It's not the end of the world that I'm pregnant. I can still be useful and not just in paperwork. "Mhm keep fucking thinking that" I mumble as we change the topic.
Lucky places his hand on my stomach, rubbing it with a smile not leaving his face. "I think she's having a boy" Mia says looking at the ultrasound
"I don't care if it's a girl or boy as long as they come out healthy" Lucky says as I lay my head on his lap. He stops rubbing my belly and starts rubbing my hair making me smile.
So relaxing I think I could fall asleep again. "Now all the mood swings are explained," Leo says, pouring himself another cup of liquor.
"It wasn't that bad come on now" I try to defend myself as Santo gives me a look of 'you know your lying'
"Mom I was showing you my pictures and you were happy then started crying then got happy out of nowhere" Santo laughs as I flick him off. "Santo you're supposed to be my son and defend me from them not laugh with them" I feel the tears come to my eyes as I try to blink them back.
"Now your really a fucking devil how the fuck did you go from mad to crying in 2.5 seconds" Angelo says as I wipe the tears that escpaed from my eyes.
"Lucky this is your fucking kid look what you did now im a hormnal bitch" I glare at him as he let's out a chuckle. "Bambina it takes two to make a kid plus it'll be worth it in the end" He continues to massage my head as I start to feel cold. I quickly put on my hoodie again feeling a big warmer getting in the same position I was before.
I feel at peace knowing that I won't have to hide around my pregnancy anymore. At peace knowing I'm having a child with the love of my life.
