"Drew called me again" Ricky said "mhm me too" "you ever gonna talk to him. It's been a week and a half" "he texted. 'It's not what you think, I'm sorry for keeping this from you' isn't enough" "you actually think he'd cheat on you" "I don't know. I do know she doesn't care" "and some people have self restraint. I used to uh mess around with Andrea but if she ever came on to me now I wouldn't even give her a second glance" "you've been with Riley longer" "and I felt this way when I first asked her out" "should I call him" "you know I would never let him hurt you so yea, hear him out and let me know" "I think I'll go see him" "alright. I relaxed there for a little while then got my stuff and went back home.
"Hi" I said before he turned to me "oh my god, I thought you'd never answer" "wasn't going to" "but" "Ricky said I should hear you out" "oh" "just if you're gonna say something and not tell me the truth let me know so I can go" "I'm not cheating on you with Andrea" "so what's going" "I really really can't say but I'm trying to help Isaac" "so he knows" "no but you can't say anything either. Haileys pov
"Tonight at 5 baby" I said walking into the kitchen "what" "be free tonight at 5. We have to go taste food for the menu" "uh" "please" "tonight at 5 love. I'll see you then" "thank you. I've gotta go" I said kissing him as he reached down and grabbed my ass "mhm have a good day. Love you" "love you too" I said leaving.
I got to work and got started on the proposal for BioCorp labs we were all working on. I liked working honestly, it gave me something to do in the day other than stressing about this wedding. The wedding itself wasn't stressful, I was beyond anxious and excited to finally be his wife, but there's a lot to do and a lot of people scrutinising it already and not even just from his side of the family. My grandmother called the other day with all of ideas and when I say ideas I mean things we shouldn't be doing at our wedding because she 'knows how inappropriate Isaac could be'. I haven't told him thought because I know that would make him upset. Not because of how she talks about him but because he hates when people tell me about my relationship which happens a lot.
"Lunch shouldn't be much longer but we can get started" Quincy said as we all got to the conference room.
"Okay so the project is simply for deaf or hard of hearing subjects. It's a biological implant that is supposed to rewire the nerves and glands and all of that to essentially restore their hearing" "sounds controversial" Chris said "oh it is. We'll work together on this. Mr. Glenn will meet with us on Monday but we need to work on getting press interviews, liability reports, sponsorships, and customer accounts" "I can do sponsorships" Chris volunteered "I can do press interviews and if you wanted to help Hailey that would be great" Tia offered "yea sounds good" "then Gus and I can do customer accounts" Barbara said "good, you'll visit hospitals as well" Quincy said as they nodded "and I'll do liability reports" Rhonda said "alright then. If you yourself or your team is having difficulties ask me or another team member for help. BioCorp and Mr. Glenn would like this to be done as soon as possible" "got it" "good. Everyone get started and let me know if you need anything" he said before we all got up and left the conference room.
"Are you leaving early today" Tia asked as we sat at her desk "a little" "what's planned for today" "food tasting for the menu" "what kind of food are you having" "Italian. I told the wedding planner that so she is setting up these little appointments" "Isaacs Italian right" "yes" "so he's picky" "very" "it's just you and him" "I think so. If anyone then the best man will be there" "not your maid of honor" "she works late tonight" "oh okay. When are you sending out invitations" "after we have the menu. I had protein in it too but you don't need that" "okay, I'm gonna get that" "alright" "do you wanna get off the phone or can we stay on until you leave" "I'll stay on until I get to the gym" "okay baby. Haileys pov
I left work around 430 and headed to the restaurant. Isaac said Gio was coming since they'd been working together all day but I didn't mind. I waited in my car until I saw them pull up.
"Hey love how was work" Isaac asked kissing me softly "good, busy" "I bet" "how was your day" "ongoing" "right. Hey Gio" "hey" he said as we walked in.
"Hi you must be Hailey and Isaac" a woman said greeting us at the entrance "yes, hi" "I spoke with Sandra so we have everything ready for you" "oh great, thank you" I said before we followed her to a table.
"What were you guys doing today" I asked as we got some drinks "looking at some locations for a warehouse, doing the usual rounds, a few meetings" "locations where" "south side" "Staten Island" "mhm. Really just for better storage" "okay. How's Maya" "um she's good. Working and classes mostly" "this is her last year" "yea" "you guys going anywhere soon" "I told her we could, I just need to find the time" he said as they brought the food out.
"Thank you" I said as the woman smiled and walked off then we started eating.
"Am I too American or is this nasty" I asked as I put my fork down "nope it's pretty ass" Isaac said "you know what this tastes like, when Carey's mom used to make us lunch after school" Gio said "oh my god, don't remind me" "so are we supposed to tell them or what" "I don't know. Anyone wanna try something else" Isaac said "you think they're dessert is bad" I asked, I could at least get something to not have completely wasted my time "uh let's see" he said waving the waitress over.
"Can I try the hot fudge sundae please" "of course. Anything else" "I'll have that too" Gio said then Isaac shook his head no and she walked off.
"Good" he asked Gio and I as we tasted it "it's not bad actually" "alright. Where did she find this place anyways" "Sandra, I have no idea but I'll tell her it's a no. Why don't you send her some recommendations and she'll set those up" "yea because I can't taste bad food every time" Gio said "who said you were coming every time" Isaac asked with a laugh "ouch. Rory gets to do all the shopping and I do the tasting" "that's your logic" I asked "yes it is" he said before Isaacs phone rang.
"Captain. No I'm not. Which one. You're there. I'll be on my way" he said hanging up.
"What was that" Gio asked "we gotta go. The captain said something went wrong at the shop on 8th" "what" "don't know he just said to get down there immediately. Come on baby" he said leaving a couple bills on the table and grabbing my hand then we left.
"You made it. You're gonna want this ma'am" the captain said handing me a handkerchief then we followed him inside.
I instantly put the handkerchief up to my nose as the smell of flesh and blood overcame us.
"What the fuck is that" Isaac said "in the next room. You two stay here" he said to his men "holy shit" Gio said as we stood at the entry way of the room filled with about 15 bodies and blood. Each one had so many shots that their skin was falling off. One had so many shots through his torso that he was damn near split in half. Blood covered the walls and pooled on the floor. All sorts of tables and shelves were cracked and tipped over. Alcohol bottles, glasses, poker chips and cards were broken and sprawled out across the floor. Bullet casings and guns crowded the floor around the men. It was a massacre.
"Isaac" Gio said getting our attention before we went over to him. By one of the men was a sketch of what looked like a bird drawn out in blood "what's that" the captain asked "family insignia. Tell your men to stay out of it" "this is a crime scene" "I understand, but I'll deal with it" "who's family insignia" "the Romancos" "what is it" I asked "an eagle, on the ring it's more detailed. Each insignia has a very basic version that we're each acquainted with" he explained, which he's been getting a lot better at "what's yours" "the cobra is more or less a swirl with an 'x' above it. We use it for territory issues or I'm thinking in this case some kind of family issue" "did you do something" "ignored all of his threats probably" "Isaac I don't like this" "there's nothing to worry about. I'm okay. Let's get out of here" he said gesturing to the room we were in.
"What do you want to do" Gio asked as we got outside "first. Where you go, she goes" "me" I asked "yes" "you mean everywhere" Gio asked "yes" "okay then. I'll try to do as little work as I can" "that's unnecessary" I said before they both glared at me "I'll talk with my father, go talk to Drew for me" "okay. Isaac, I got her but you need security" "I know don't worry. Go ahead baby, I'll have your car taken home" "okay" I said as he leaned over to kiss me and I hugged him tightly "you okay love. Seeing that in there" "I'm alright. Honestly, a little shaken" "that's okay. Get a drink or something on the way" he said to Gio who nodded then he kissed my forehead again and went the other way.
We got smoothies then headed to Tess and Drew's place.
"Hey guys" Tess said as I sat down "Drew here" Gio asked "in his office yea. Something wrong" "can you get him" he asked the maid before she nodded and walked off.
"What's up" "what's your father been up to" he asked and I could tell he was studying his reaction "he hasn't even spoken with Oscar why are you asking" Tess asked "is she correct" "about me not talking to my father" "yes" "of course she is. Did something happen" "the shop on 8th" "yea" "a blood bath. Your family insignia on the scene. What do you know about it" "nothing like that. I've told Isaac he's power hungry" "were we supposed to expect something like this" "no you weren't. What can I do" "see what the fuck is going on and let him know that if it's not solved by tomorrow morning, we're understanding this to be an official call to war. As for you, know what side you're on before it starts. Let's go" he said to me before we left.
"We've gotta make a couple stops, that okay" he asked as we drove off "I guess so, yea. So what exactly is 'war' for you all" "what you saw earlier just times twenty and on a much larger scale" "so it'll be Isaac and Romanco just in the streets" "no. Isaacs a head capo of his family. It'll be the Castellanos and the families loyal to them then the Romancos and the families loyal to them" "for how long" "until it's resolved. The thing is people try to avoid killing family heads" "why" "because after that happens there is no scenario that could bring two families together again" "like Harleys family" "yes, after Don Castellano killed his grandfather everyone knew that was over" "so if each family has a Don, why did Isaacs grandfather have to kill Harleys in order to become the Don of his own" "he didn't necessarily have to but there were a lot of people that doubted his ability to control his whole family especially considering two of his sons are hitmen so when he and Harleys grandfather had a problem he took the opportunity" "how long has he been the Don" "since he was 38" "and he is" "61" "oh wow. So have you and Isaac been in the center of something like this" "no we haven't, not like this" "how do you think he's doing" "honestly, fine" "fine" "yes. It's something his family has been preparing him for since he was kid. Now come on" he said getting out.
Drew's pov
"Where you going" Tess asked as I got downstairs "to see if there's anything I can do babe" "you're going to see your father" "no just asking around" "be careful Drew" "I will baby. Call me if you need anything" "okay" she said before I kissed her and left.
I sat at the bar while I waited and even ordered a drink to look less conspicuous.
"Hey" Andrea said sitting by me "hey. Did you hear" "about the killing" "yes" "mhm. I didn't know about this. You know I would've said something" "so he's playing you" "maybe he didn't know. He's told me everything else so far. Why would he go through the trouble just to let this slide" "does he know you tell me" "of course not" "well people talk" "what do you mean" "Tess found out you and I were meeting up because someone told her" "she did. You never said anything. Was she angry" "very" "did you tell her what this was" "absolutely not" "well we could always make it how it used to be" "Andrea" "I'm just kidding" "try and find out what you know. We're supposed to fix this shit before it gets to Isaac" "I'll see what I can find. My family's made up their minds you know" "officially" "yes. Antonio took his omertà" "do the Castellanos know" "no" "then my condolences in advance. They'll kill him if they get the chance" "they grew up together. I got another drink then went to my car. I drove home but stayed there to get on the phone.
"Uncle" "nows not a good time nephew" "I didn't think so. What the hell is going on" "you don't know" "Isaac just told me. I thought everything was civil" "nothings civil kid. This mother fucker isn't going to just freely destroy our family" "he's not" "he is and you're helping" "I made my own decisions yea but this is no reason to start a war" "well a war was inevitable, you'll have to choose a side one way or the other" he said before I hung up. I hated hearing this shit. I hated my father and his new family but I was still a Romanco. My cousins, my friends, my aunts and uncles. They were still my family.
"Hey baby" Tess said turning to me on the bed "hey" "how did it go" "alright. Trying to find out more" "who did you see" "just a few contacts who still kept in touch after I joined Isaac" "and they didn't know" "not much but they're looking into it. We'll see what we find" "okay. Relax, nothing is happening right now" "I know but it would've been better to get ahead of this" "true but there's nothing you can do right now so relax" she said kissing me a few times before I reached down to unzip my pants.
Haileys pov
Gio and I got back to the house before Isaac did so we were just waiting.
"Hello. Kind of busy right now baby" Gio said into the phone "uh where are you. Why. Oh right, there was no one else you could call. Well you called to tell me so is there something wrong. Bullshit, he's got it" he said before hanging up. I felt that shit. The way Gio talked made you hurt more and Maya was already sensitive. His tone was always even and blunt and I think that's why his words were worse.
"Is everything okay" I asked after a minute "uh her friend has a brother" "okay" "they've kissed before" "they have history" "they didn't until she and I got together" "oh" "then they almost kissed again when she and I were fighting and I asked her to put some boundaries on their relationship but she just called to tell me he was picking her up from work" "why" "because she thought Taylor, her friend, was going to but she canceled which I bet is a fucking lie because she doesn't like the idea that me and Maya are together and she doesn't know me. Maya said she thought I was working so she didn't want to bother me so she called him and just wanted to let me know" "so you guys have been having a few rough weeks" "you're telling me" "you think it's because you're a secret" "probably" "and you won't even consider meeting her parents. I mean I'm not Italian and Isaac didn't keep me a secret" "if he had you think it would've been harder" "way harder. His mom and I got close fast and I think that helped understand him a lot. Especially since you and Isaac are very alike, closed off, hard to understand, I like being able to talk to someone else about whats in his head" "you think I should meet them" "do you see this going farther than a fling" "I don't know" "well take some time to think about it but if you do, I think you should meet them" "yea thanks" "you're welcome" I said smiling at him. A little bit later he got up to get on the phone and I just relaxed.
"Hey baby, where's Gio" Isaac said sitting by me and pulling me into him "on the phone" "okay" "how did it go with your dad" "expected. We'll deal with things accordingly" "meaning" "meaning I didn't start this shit but I will finish it one way or another" "be careful" "I know. I'm gonna have some security detail for your family, love" "you don't have to" "yes I do. You and I can go over there tomorrow and speak with them" "alright" "you doing better" "mhm really" "okay good" he said kissing my forehead before Gio came back.
"What did Drew say" Isaac asked "that he doesn't know anything about it and that his father is power hungry. I told him to tell them they had by tomorrow morning" "good" "and your dad" "he's looking into some things. My grandfather said if we needed them to just call" "yea. Well I'm gonna head out for tonight. When do you want me to be back" "meet us at Haileys moms place at 930" "got it. See you then. Goodnight" "goodnight" we said then he left.
"Wanna clean up" he asked as we just sat there for a minute "mhm" I said before he lifted me up and we went upstairs.

"Come in guys. Good morning" mom said "good morning" "did you eat" "no we didn't" "well I'm just starting breakfast so sit with us. What's up" she asked as we followed her to the kitchen "well it's actually about security" "is everyone okay" Derrick asked "we don't know yet but I'd like each one of you to have security" "including the boys" mom asked "yes. They're outside already. They will drive the boys around and they're welcome to drive you around too or if you prefer they just follow and stay around that's fine too just let them know" "this isn't a question is it" Derrick asked "no sir. There's most likely a war coming and I want you all to be safe" "a war" "between the families" "oh my god" "I don't believe any of you are in immediate danger but if you are I will take the necessary precautions then as well" "okay then" "thank you" "and are you in danger honey" mom asked me "I'm okay for now but I have Giovanni with me" "at all times" "yes" "okay. She'll be okay Isaac" "yes ma'am, she will" "good".
Andreas pov
"Oh my god yes. I'm gonna cum" I moaned into the pillow as he squeezed my hips. I reached back grabbing his thigh as he leaned his hips into me and filled up the condom.
I pretty much fell over when he pulled out then watched him disappear into the bathroom.

I didn't come across Romancos son for some ominous reason of playing secret agent. We just started talking and we really like each other and when he proposed the idea of seeing what Drew knew, we were passed the 'I love you' stage. I was only two years older than him but he might as well be older so it doesn't bother us much.

"Baby, what time are you leaving" Isaac asked coming in the living room "4 why" "I'm about to head out. Gios on his way" "okay" "he has work tonight and I'll be gone all day so he'll make sure you're alright" "I know lover, don't worry about me I'm fine" "I know. Call me if you need or want anything baby" "I will. Love you" "love you too" he said kissing me and leaving the house.
"Hey Ror" I said answering her call "hey. What the hell is going on" "a bunch of guys were shot up. It was horrible" "you saw" "mhm" "are you okay" "yes I am" "are you still coming to pick me up" "yea. Me and Gio are" "is he your body guard" "yes he is. I'm supposed to be attached to his hip apparently" "meaning" "he has work tonight" "you're going" "not sure. I think I'll at least be around" "well be careful" "I am. I'll see you soon okay" "mhm. Love you" "love you too" I said before hanging up.
I got my laptop and did some work while I waited for him and then eventually we left.
"Hey" Rory said getting in the car "hey" "so where's Isaac" "not sure" I said looking over at Gio "meeting with some capos so we're not caught by surprise" "okay" "well are we really supposed to be doing this then" Rory asked "well I still have to get married eventually" "what are we doing" Gio asked "meeting Sandra at the flower shop to finalise the bouquets then to some restaurant Isaac sent to her to taste food" "he still did that" "I made him last night" "makes sense" "I'm just saying I still have a wedding to plan so until it's necessary, I won't put my life in hold" "okay then".
"Hi Sandra" I said shaking her hand as we reached her "hello, good evening everyone. I had them put together a few samples so you can choose from those" "sounds good. Thank you" "of course. Come on back" she said before we followed her.
They waited for my response while I looked over each.
"This one but a little more lavender" I said "less of anything" "nope just more lavender since they'll be wearing that. I don't want it to seem like it came out of nowhere" "alright then. Take that down and I'll have the official order in by the morning" Sandra told the worker "yes ma'am" "thank you" "you're welcome" she said before we left.
"You have three tastings over the next three days so you don't have to decide just yet. Isaac paid ahead of time so just order what you want and they'll get it" "okay" "and he told me how that last restaurant was, my apologies" "oh no worries. The sundaes were good" I said as we shared a laugh "well I hope these are better. Call me if you have any questions or anything" "I will. Thank you Sandra" "you're welcome" she said before we got in the car and left.
This food was way better than last nights so we ordered a few things.
"Hey" I said smiling as Isaac walked towards our table "hey baby" "are you finished" "not at all. I just figured I could use some dinner and I wanted to be here" "I really appreciate that" I said kissing his cheek.
"How's it going" Gio asked "it's going. Most people are aware" "aware and ready" "aware for now" "okay" "who are you working for tonight" "your grandfather. Nothing big. It shouldn't take long and it'll be clean" "okay good".
Isaac left before us and Rory got picked up by Cameron then Gio and I went to Brooklyn.
"I'll be right back. Here take this just in case anyone comes" he said sitting a gun on the middle console "yea sure. How long are you gonna be" "ten minutes. Keep the car off and the lights and make sure you're looking around. Text me if you need me" "okay" I said before he grabbed a gun himself and left.
I decided to stay off my phone just so I didn't get distracted. I drank my tea and hummed softly as I looked around the empty street lit only by a few lights. There were two other cars parked a ways down and other than that, empty. We were parked in front of some small warehouse that said Macken Auto but there wasn't a single car around so my guess was that it was a front.
I turned as I saw Gio walking back to the car with a body wrapped in a bag and thrown over his shoulder then he put it in the trunk and got in. He wiped his hands on a T-shirt before pulling off.
"He dead already" "yea. Just gonna put him in the harbour and we'll head back to your house" "okay" I said with a small nod before he reached over and took the gun back from me.
We got to the harbour and he did a quick outfit change outside of the car after dumping the body then followed it with his bag of clothes.
"Who was he" "he's been stealing from one of the Dons businesses" "I see. Happens a lot" I asked "yes it does" "so then what" "someone has to pay off his debt or more people die" "oh wow" "mhm" "so what have you been up to today" "well I've mostly been with you" "not the whole day. Rorys pov
"When did he leave" I asked Camilla as we sat and waited "about twenty minutes before you got here. He was just going to see what she wanted" "how long has he been doing this" "not too long" "sure" "you didn't have to come honey" "I wanted to. You okay" "yes. He just seemed really angry when he left" "yea she has a talent for that" I said sighing and sitting back on the couch.
"My goodness Dan, what happened" she asked jumping up as he came inside with a black eye and a bleeding brow bone "nothing too terrible honey, I'm okay" he said before I went to the kitchen to grab some ice and something to wipe his face off with.
"Robert did this" Camilla asked "yes. A small disagreement" "small, this is assault" "I'm not calling the cops" he said getting ahead of her "why were you over there dad" I asked as he sat down and she tended to his wounds "your mother called and said she needed help" "is Robert hitting her" "no. That's not a problem for her. She told me they were having a really bad argument and she needed help and a rude and that he wasn't there but when I got there, he was. He and I argued and he thought I was still sleeping with her and then we got into a little fight" "why do you keep answering her. She's not your responsibility" "whose responsibility is she, yours" "I don't know but this is stupid" "she's right" Camilla said "I know. It's fine" "are you going to stop honey" "yes I will" "good because if she calls you again she's going to hear from me. I don't care what she's asking for, you're done helping" "okay" "I mean it Dan" "I understand" "okay" she said getting up and going to their room.
"Roberts wrong isn't he" I asked as my dad held the ice pack to his forehead "what's that sweetheart" "about you and mom still sleeping together" "of course he's wrong, I'm very happily married. Why do you ask" "because dad all that shit that happened when I was a kid, still happened. I just wanted to make sure you weren't messing up the best thing in your life right now" I said gesturing to their room where Camilla was "Rory, you're the best thing in my life and I would never jeopardise our relationship like how I did when you were younger" "okay. Thank you dad" "you're welcome honey. I love you" "I love you too" I said getting up and hugging him.
