Q: Can you tell us something about Mr. Sathraj which No one already knows on Wattpad?
A: Sathraj gets P3 and a full sleeve tattoo with a few things related to Sana and some to boxing later on when Pari and Anay start growing up.
Q: What's the thought process behind the idea of writing a complicated character like Sathraj? What inspired you to write him?
A: Nothing in Sonder was planned or inspired. Not even Sathraj - it just happened.
Q: Is 'Sathraj' a pure figment of imagination or was based on a real person?
A: Based on Sidharth and the smallest bit on a person I knew. Very small.
Q: One thing You loved about Sathraj?
A: How soft he is. How ancient and beautiful his soul is.
Q: One thing you hate or dislike about Mr. Sathraj?
A: Nothing.
Q: What was the hardest scene you write in 'Sonder to ikigai' and why?
A: Sathraj's dad's funeral and his overdose. Also when Sana gets attacked by Sayal. Those scenes had me literally dying on the inside because there were way too many layers of emotions in those scenes. So much vulnerability, brokenness, bondage, and liberty, so much - very few actually saw all those feelings.
Q: How did you come up with the title 'Sonder to Ikigai'?
A: I knew my words - Logolepsy, proudly. And it was only supposed to be Sonder but it felt incomplete. As I said - nothing, not even their names were planned. Sonder was written on a day-to-day basis. One day I found Ikigai and just added it to Sonder.
Q: What was your first reaction when people began loving Sathraj? Do you expect this or is this overwhelming?
A: I did not really expect that kind of obsession with Sathraj. Like if you look 'Sathraj' up on Twitter, there are over 1000 tweets about him. That made me literally go 'wtf?' Like I used to find randommmmmm people having his name in theirs and I was like whatttttt even! So overwhelmed for sure!
Q: After reading Sathraj every girl on wattpad, including me has increased their bars for boys? Your comment on this?
A: Sathraj is fictional - but he is based on real men I know in my life - I know the world sucks but when you find 'the one' whose match with you was made in heaven - then bro, you know they exist. Wait, do not be hasty.

A: *Blush* I have a girlfriend at home *Blush*

A: Sana Kaur Dhillon.
Q: Sathraj fell to drugs again.
And sana healed him
without any rehab? Isn't
that a little fictitious?
mean falling back to drugs,
that too cocaine, that's
tough to recover without
proper rehabilitation. And
he just left it all with the
help of a girl!
A: - Idk how far you guys read the book but he relapses multipleeeeeeeee times. Like again and again. Even after the miscarriage, his urges were really high. But his focus was on her who was literally bleeding out their baby. And he did have a full rehabilitation - he was given a pass to work as a teacher, which means that he had gained full sobriety. Sana did not heal him, he in fact snorted coke 4-5 times because of her lol. He healed when his pain and past died with his dad, and even then, not fully. Should read again, you'll be surprised.

A: He didn't start boxing. Again, confused at the question. He did not box again, he becomes a trainer with instructors helping him. The intensity of boxing is really high - what he did was simply train himself more and not actually fight anyone. And his struggle after coming back? My boy let the punching back hit him in the face and let himself bleed because he wanted the coke and he wanted to feel the rush of being in the ring lol. He hit without protection till his knuckles bled. That was definitely his struggle mentioned in multipleeeeeeeeee chapters. Should read again - we'll read together!
Q: If not a boxer what other
professions could have
been suitable for sidharth

A: He would have become a teacher of English.

A: Hard to say. I am not as patient as Sana. I would give him a chance, ofc. Hate the sin, not the sinner - heard of this? I believe in that. No one becomes a bad person because of their decisions and weaknesses and sicknesses. They're humans and when you actually get to know them - that changes everything. Saying all that - not patient enough.
Q: What is the best gift that Ms Dhillon ever gave u?
My understanding and empathy, my skill and knowledge. I had done a lot of research into social work - more than I used to. She gave me a new perspective, new understanding, and new empathy.
Q: Working hard to gain a place for
yourself in the world of
boxing and then ruining it
all with his own bare hands,
did he never for once feel
that he was demeaning the
mother who would have
died a thousand death to
see the destruction of his
Son! He made his father win at
that point of time with his
destruction and let his
mother lose the battle?
A: Yes. He says it too. His mother would have beat the shit out of him and set him right. He lunges at Sana when she says that his mother would not have wanted him to do this. He knows it too. He had let her down. He acknowledges it many times, he feels guilty.
Q: Sathraj is one spoilt brat in
the beginning. How did you
make him soft and sweet?
Was it just Sana Dhillon!
And if yes, what power she
had over him to make him
this soft?
A: I don't think I ever wrote Sathraj's character as someone who was spoilt or bratty. He always had that depth to him. He was mature - and he became soft towards her so much because she wasn't that mature, she was like a child who had faced too much, traumatized too much, and just beaten down too much. What he feels towards her first began with attraction, then it became this desperate protection because he sees that she's not just that hot and savage girl from the airport, she had this innocence and this really sweet affection for him. Then he became smitten by her, she cared for him, she gave him something when he had nothing. Sana did not necessarily have power over him where she put efforts to change him and all. Sathraj never changed, he was nurturing and giving with Priya, he was just as nurturing and giving with Sana, right? He went from someone who was angry and frustrated to someone who found a reason. Never spoilt and bratty - I don't think. He fell in love reallllllly badly. That's all. She did have an unintentional hand in it.
