Chapter 9
Shikamaru POV:
"Where did they go?" Lady Tsunade, the fifth Hokage, shakes me by my shoulders and yells in my face. What a troublesome woman.
"I told you, Lady Tsunade, Naruto ran into a portal-"
"Of course he did! He's Naruto for Kami's sake! That insolent, despicable, idiotic, hyperactive-"
"Anyways, they all followed him and they will find their way back eventually. So don't worry yourself. It's only been a day. They'll be back within the month."
"Oh Kami...A month. What chaos will Naruto cause there? SHIKAMARU! WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP ME FROM ASSIGNING HIM TO THAT MISSION?! Who in their right mind would let me let him check for portals? I thought you had an IQ of over 200?" Tsunade moans, planting her head against her desk.
The door flies open and in steps Temari, Gaara's sister and my troublesome, secret, girlfriend, "Hey Tem-"
"WHERE THE HELL IS HE? DID YOU REALLY LOSE HIM? ARE YOU AN IDIOT?!" She cuts me off. There goes my peaceful day. Now she heard about it. Damn it all. What a drag.
"Fate must have taken them away for a while," Neji muses, nodding beside Shino, who just declines his head. So now the hippie and bug boy are here. I hope they're having fun, the troublesome idiots, wherever they may be.
Matsuri pov:
"How has your day been so far, Akio?" Alyson questions him since we are, for once, early for a class. Kakashi sighs. "One of the kids stole my book, and another started questioning why I cover my face. I thought these kids would be more mature than what they are."
"That's high school for you!" Alyson laughs, shrugging. Kakashi sighs again. "Well, how are the rest of you doing so far?"
"I hate this," Naruto seethes. "I've gotten homework every period so far! And it's all due tomorrow."
Lee agrees, "It's even draining the youth out of me."
"Welcome to our world," Tsukii chuckles with Alyson. But she looks sympathetically to the guys. "You guys are just gonna have to get use to all of this. The three of us have been doing for years now."
"And just for the record, I'm never doing any one's homework," I warn them now; Tsukii already made me do hers, about 99% of the time, and Alyson always begs me into doing it. But I will not do all six loads of homework for them!
The bell rings, and we take our seats in the back corner, as with every class. Kakashi announces, "All right class, today we will be discussing the meaning of life. Have at it while I read."
He sits in his desk and immediately gets absorbed in his book. Imbecile! I chuck my giant eraser at his head, and he glares at me. "What is it, Matsuri?"
"That's not how you teach!" I accuse him, and he waves me over. "Well, why don't you take over then?"
"Fine!" I snap at him. What kind of a teacher is he? Just reading while he has an entire class to teach! Idiot!
By the end of the class, every student's face was blank because I had confused them so much. Geez, if they can't get this then they're all doomed. At least I didn't give them homework!
Alyson shakes her head at me. "Matsuri, you made that sound like we were supposed to be in college."
"Well you're in high school. College is coming faster than you think!" I imply angrily. Why couldn't anyone but me see that?!
Next was gym. What a drag.
"Listen guys. All you have to do is go into the office of the guy coach in the guy's locker room, tell him you're all new students, they'll give a uniform, you change into it, and then you'll just go along with the others guys," I told all the anime guys, except for Gai and Kakashi, who were not here at the moment. "Got that?"
"Yeah, sure," they mumble while glancing at the door label: BOYS LOCKER ROOM. Kiba inquires, "Why can't we just stick with you guys?"
Before I could tell him what an idiotic idea that was, Alyson comes up and slaps him then chastises, "Because, you idiots, guy and girls CANNOT CHANGE CLOTHES TOGETHER!!! It's the school's rules. And don't even THINK about going all ninja like and try to peep into the girl's locker room, or you will end up like some of the rabbits I chase!"
"Why would we even..." Deidara trails off while his eyes drift over something past our shoulders. Tsukii, Alyson, and I turn our heads to see a group of girls gazing at our guys, but when the guys caught their eyes, they giggle and hurry pasts us into our locker room. Deidara smirks a little. "Ah, now I see why."
And out of the blue, Alyson slaps Deidara too. "I said don't even THINK about it, you troublesomes! Now, go do as Matsuri said and we'll see you soon. Got it?"
They guys scurry away before Alyson can slap any of them while Kiba and Deidara rub their red cheeks. Tsukii slaps Alyson's arm. "Don't slap Deidara again, troublesome!"
"He deserved it though! I wouldn't have thought you'd let him get away with him staring at those girls," Alyson argues, and Tsukii glares but nods her thanks. That's a weird thing about us. We're at each other's throats one moment then supporting each other the next. We'll never be normal siblings.
After changing into our ugly gym uniform, which was white tees and black basketball shorts that had the school logo and name on it, we head out the gym to see the guys filing in. I search for our guys, along with Tsukii and Alyson, and we almost burst out laughing at the sight of them. They look so ridiculous in the uniform...well not Kiba...and maybe not Gaara.
When the guys find us, we're clutching our sides and supporting each other while laughing our heads off, and Kiba asks, "What's so funny?"
"You guys...look so....ridiculous....in those uniforms," Alyson manages to explain while laughing more. That causes the guys to glare at us before being startled by the whistles of the coach, indicating we had to do warm ups.
With the guys on one side and the girls on the other, our fellow students and guys did them while my sisters and I just lie on our backs, not caring about exercise or the gym coaches at all. We are instructed to go outside to the field, and on our way there, we're rejoined by the guys. Naruto demands of me, "Why didn't you guys do the exercises?"
"Because we didn't want to," I answer simply, and he asks, "It's optional?"
"For us," Alyson corrects, and Kiba inquires, "Why just for you and no one else?"
"Because..." Alyson was about to explain when the girls' coach comes up the three of us and says, "You didn't do today's warm ups, girls."
"Because we didn't want to. Got it?" Tsukii states coldly while narrowing her eyes at the coach and giving her daggers. Coach J's eyes widen in fear, and she walks away without a question. But before she left, Lee inquires to her, "Where's Coach Gai?"
"Oh, uh, he's not participating today. He's...setting up the weight room," Coach J answers simply then walks off.
Sasuke questions, "Do the three of you just manipulate everyone to get your way with things?"
My sisters and I glance at each other then answer, "Pretty much."
Coach J calls out, "Alright, we're going into our fitness unit for a couple weeks. We're going to start off with the jumping test. Who'll go first?"
When no one volunteers, Alyson raises her hand excitedly while exclaiming, "I'll start!"
"Okay. You may want a running start first," Coach Dug, the boys' coach, advises, and Alyson nods while skipping a couple meters away from them marking point. Oh boy. Alyson takes off sprinting and when close enough, she leaps into the ski, literally, and us students watch her body glide through the sky. And we could faintly hear the airily beautiful singing voice of my sister, "I believe I fly...I believe touch the sky...I believe I can soar...Catch me through that open door..." Her voice fades as she disappears over the trees. Aw, and I actually liked that song.
Everyone's jaws are dropped and eyes wide as they stare off to where Alyson disappeared, and Coach J confirms shakily, "OK...that's well over 20 feet... Next?"
After everyone jumps, we move on to a punching bag, and Coach J has "volunteered" me first. I tell her while glaring, "I don't see the point in this."
"Just hit it," mutters Coach Dug, and I sigh, rolling my eyes. I whirl around, turning my back to them, with my fist balled, and next thing we knew, the punching bag is flying across the room then crumbling the stone wall. I turn back to them. "I'm not getting you a new punching bag. Or a new wall."
The coaches were pale while clapping was heard and a voice cheers, "You go Matsuri!"
Everyone's eyes turn to Alyson, who smiles brightly, and Kiba questions her, "When did you get back?"
"A couple seconds before Matsuri sent the punching bag flying, like I did with myself!" she cheers. "Oh, and coach, I covered about 200 yards, though I started to loose count," she adds with a pout, but Coach J just gapes at her before Alyson volunteers, "My turn!"
She runs over to the punching bags, flips it the air, and then sends it flying across the room like I had done, only she used her foot. Another wall crumbled, and I tell the coach, "I'm not replacing that either."
Alyson and I rejoin the crowd of students, and I see Gaara glancing at the walls and punching bags with astonishment. I smirk to myself as I pass him, but before I leave, I whisper in his ear, "THAT's what you're going have to fight if you piss me off."
Out of the corner of my eye, I think I saw Gaara actually shudder at that thought, and that made my smirk smugger. Coach Dug announces, "Okay...moving on. Who wants to hang first? Tsukii Lore?"
Tsukii sighs then nods reluctantly. Coach J tells her to go, and Tsukii just starts to hang there. This is gonna take awhile..................................................................................................

Coach J calls out, "Okay Tsukii. It's been 32 minutes. You can get down now! Wait...did she fall asleep?"
Alyson and I gaze up at her to find her eyes shut and mouth slightly lulling open. We shrug, "Huh, would you look at that? She did."
"I'll get her!" Alyson calls and she starts hanging on the pole easily then screams, "TSUKII, WAKE UP!!!"
Her eyes open again and she sleepily mutters, "What, you troublesome sister?"
"Don't you realize you're hanging on a pole?"
"No, I'm... Huh, would you look at that? I am. Troublesome pole." She leaps down with ease along with Alyson. She then proceeds to go over to Dei-Dei and mess with his hair. I still don't get how she falls asleep on a freakin' pole!
At long last, not only is gym over, but so is school.
As we drag ourselves out of the school yard, Kakashi and Gai were still at school, the guys entertain themselves by staring at the cars picking up other students.
Gaara casually remarks, "Your car is faster." No freakin' duh. "And I never got to drive it." He is not starting this again. I cut off my own retort as Alyson jumps up onto the bridge railing and begins walking on it. She balances herself out with her arms and begins singing Grace Kelly by Mika. Tsukii jumps up and joins her. I join her as well, but from a lower elevation. No heights for me, ever again.
"That was the song that was playing this morning!" Naruto smiles cheerfully and makes the song a quartet. The others just stare at us dumbfounded. Will they ever truly fit in this world? Will we? Haha nope.
Tsukii smirks and taps Alyson on the shoulder, winking. Then she quickly pushes Alyson off of the bridge and into the river below.
"Oh..." Alyson gasps and hits the freezing water. I turn on Tsukii, "Damn you!" I shout, but whisper, "Nice job."
"Shit!" Kiba calls out worriedly and runs down the bank to save her. Hehe just as planned.
Kiba strips off his shirt and dives head first into the goose bump raising water. Silence engulfs us and I actually begin to worry. SPLASH!
Kiba pops back up to the surface holding a soaking, yet triumphant looking Alyson. We tread back up to the bridge with Kiba yelling curses at Tsukii for being 'mean' to her sister. Mwhahahahaha. Kiba asks Alyson, "Are you okay?"
"No, I think I sprained my ankle," she whimpers, the picture of innocence. Kiba volunteers, "I'll carry you then."
"You don't have to, Kiba," Alyson insists, but I see a look in her eyes that says 'yes, you do!' So Kiba picks her up bridal style, but when he passes Tsukii, who's still on the bridge, Alyson's non-injured foot kicks Tsukii into the water. Our plan is working.
Now it's Deidara's turn to rush to the water, strip his shirt off, and go save Tsukii from the water. Only when Tsukii comes back up, it's her that pretends to be pissed off at Alyson. "You troublesome hobbit! I swear you could've killed me!"
"Well you could've killed me!" Alyson counters and Tsukii curses under her breath. She also says she sprained her ankle, and Deidara carries her like Kiba is carrying Alyson. Aww, they're all so cute together.
I smirk with them as we notice the guys seem completely ignorant of the scheme we just pulled off. And my thoughts distracted me, so I wasn't paying attention to my own freakin' feet, and I fell clumsily into Gaara's arms. I straighten up and yell at Naruto, "Why did you trip me?!"
"I didn't trip you! You tripped over your own feet, klutz!" Naruto yells back to me, irritated. Psst, idiot. I know he tripped me! I do not trip over my own feet!
Well, at least today was productive.
