Third person's POV
A lady is busy knitting for her daughter's new cloth. She sings a little lullaby while enjoying herself. She's excited to see her daughter's reaction if she finish the cloth for her
"Mother! I'm home!"
She heard a voice behind her. The lady embraced her and kissed her forehead
"Where have you been, Thalia?" The lady asked
"I found this on the street!"
She showed her mother a bag of silver coins. The lady was shocked and Thalia was smiling brightly at her. She slap her daughter's hand
"Why did you bring that home?! I told you not to steal anything from the nobles!" The lady scold her but Thalia glared at her
"I did what I think that can help us, mother! You always told me that I deserve everything and now you're yelling at me!"
The lady was speechless after hearing her daughter's words. She was disappointed since her daughter doesn't act like that
Thalia picked up the bag and looked at her mother, "I'm keeping this bag and that's final." Then she went to her room and locked herself
That night she stole the bag of silver from her daughter's room while Thalia's asleep. She decided to go to the capital and went to a friend. Her friend was the Baron's wife, she gave the bag and told her everything
Her friend was surprised and cannot believe that Thalia would do such thing
The next morning, she woke after hearing her daughter shouting. She found their house was a huge mess
Her daughter was smashing things up because of anger.
"Thalia, what are you doing!?"
"I can't find my money, mother!"
"Thalia, that wasn't your money! It was somebody else's!"
Thalia was furious and pushed her mother
"You bitch! I work hard for to get that money from those stupid nobles! Where's the money!?"
"Just give it up, Thalia! There's more things in life than luxuries!"
"You don't understand mother! I'm sick of this life! I hate you!"
Thalia left the house while her mother is devastated. She regret what she did last night but she only did what's the best for her daughter.
Later, she went to her ex's house, she found him making out with someone else in his living room. She doesn't want to cry and remind him that he has a child to support since he already know that.
"Arthur.." she called but the man ignored her, "I know you don't want to hear this but, you have to give me some money for our child. Arthur, I don't want her to steal money like the other commoners---"
"Honey, did you hear someone calling your name?" The woman asked
"Nope, not at all." Arthur said and they both laugh while continue making out
The lady sigh, "Arthur, please, I'm begging you, I don't care if you don't love me anymore, just please support our child, I'm raising her all by myself."
Arthur turn around and slapped her
"You dare show your face and begging me for money? I don't care if you're raising a stupid child alone, I don't care if you die in starvation on the street, you're a biggest mistake I ever committed. I'm disgusted just by looking at you. Now get out before I call the guards and never let you enter this place again!"
Arthur pushed her out of the room. He locked the door leaving her out his manor.
The lady ended up crying, she don't know what to do anymore.
The next day, she still couldn't find Thalia around the house. She decided to clean the house before buying some bread on the market.
Suddenly she noticed her daughter with a noble man touching her bare back while he wear a fancy dress
She decided to go there and pulled her daughter
"What the heck are you doing, Thalia!? What's up with this dress and who's that guy!?"
Thalia pushed her, "Don't you dare touch me! He's treating me way better than you, mother. I'm his adopted daughter now, so you stay out of my life!"
"You're going home with me young lady." She harshly pulled her daughter back to their hut. Everyone is looking at them
"Let me go! You're not my mother anymore!"
The lady froze and her faced Thalia, she was angry and slapped her in her face
"I pushed you out for 3 hours, Thalia, I raised and feed you for all these years, your own goddamn father won't even support you, you know why!? Because you're a piece of shit!"
"You know why father left us!? Because you're useless and not even worth marrying, that's why!"
The lady slapped her for the second time
She's holding back her tears and went home. She cried for almost an hour. She can't go back in time and change her fate, if she only agreed to marry a nice man instead of Arthur, she would probably live a great life by now.
