CHAPTER NINETY

We're at the journey with his highness, Theodore, and Gabriel

I can't believe that I almost feel like an idiot agreeing to these guys

I could use some help though, but having more than two person during a journey is kinda obnoxious

I know Stella here is stronger than me physically, all I can do is aiming at the target using my weapon but if we're talking about combat, Stella would be perfect

We're already at the woods here in northern empire. I'm sure it'll takes a lot of days and time until we reach the eastern empire

The rain began to fall

"Oh no, my lady! The weather is getting worse! We have to get to the safer place right now!" Stella said

"I know a place," Gabriel spoke and we all look at him, "Follow me,"

He went on as we followed him

We saw a house and Gabriel offered that we should stay there for a while

The house is surprisingly neat and organized

"We can stay here until the storm stop, there's also a place for horses so don't worry," he said and went outside to keep our horses

"It smells great." Stella said

Minutes later Gabriel came in soaking wet from the rain outside

"The horses is safe now." He said as he began undressing his upper cloth

Theodore does the same and his highness too

They're showing their masculine body with a lot of abs

I stopped myself and closed my eyes instead

I remember my old self being a low key simp on every man in the novel, wtf

"Oh? Gabriel you're here,"

An old man came out from nowhere and looks at us

He came over me and examine my face

"I remember those features... You're Duke Gomez's daughter, aren't you?"

I didn't respond

"Wow, it's been a long time, lady Eloise, perhaps you wouldn't remember me, you were six years old when I saw you." He said "I'm a former servant of your father, I'm Charleston Verhan, I was fired because I'm too old to work in the ducal's state. But your father gave me extra money that I can use even after I'm fired, he's such a good man."

I didn't know the Duke did that, in that case, he must've give him a huge amount of money for him to survive.

Just like what his highness did to Zian

But the good man phrase isn't really suitable for duke Gomez. He's literally oblivious when it comes to me

"Anyway, I shall make you some hot cocoa, y'all are soaking wet from the rain. The only thing that probably keeping the ladies' warm is your bodies, huh," he said

I blushed when he said that

It's not like that but I can't even look at them straight in the eyes with their torso's showing off

"Gabriel? Can you get some clothes for everyone?" He asked

"Yeah, sure." Gabriel response and went upstairs

Later on, Gabriel came back with some clothes for all of us

"The ladies can dress upstairs," the old man said

Stella and I went upstairs to change our clothes and I noticed that she was trying not to see anything

As we reach the stairs, I lean over to her and whisper, "You can open your eyes now,"

She blush as she saw me beside her, "My lady! I didn't see anything!" She said

"Lower your voice," I whisper again

"Sorry..."

We went upstairs and changed our clothes.

These clothes suit me well, and Stella looks pretty with it

We went down and the old man gave us hot cocoa

"Drink up, you gotta warm your body, I'll prepare the fireplace for you."

"Let me help you with that," his highness offer

"Oh, you must be the crowned prince, don't worry your highness, I got this."

"I insist, mister." He said

"Well, if you do, can you passed me the woods, your highness?"

"Sure," he went and grabbed the cut woods for the old man

They then lit it with fire to keep us warm

"I'll make dinner, old man, perhaps you should relax for now," Theodore offer

"That's nice of you, Gabriel meet such good friends."

Theodore simply giggle and went to the kitchen

I look at Gabriel as he sigh

"You're related to the old man?" I asked

"No, master, but he took care of me before" he said "He gave me food and showed me kindness even though I'm not pure human."

I pat his head, "At least you have someone and a place you can consider as your home."

He smiled, "Yeah, I have"
