Katana's POV
I knew in myself that it is Ashika. I can't be wrong. I know her face very well. Her hands, the way she talk and walk, I know everything.
"Are you sure it is her?" Hana asked me
"I can't be wrong"
I lost my strength as realization hits me. Ashika was there for a month and I didn't even notice. How can I not notice something like this? How did the killer put the body there without me noticing?
"Is there someone who knows about the Academy floor plan?" Hana asked
"Only Han Jisung knew about it. H knows every way, he found the basement, he knows sone secret passage. He knows anything about this Academy. I am sure he is the only one who knows about this small door"
"I am not defending him. As far as I know, he told everyone about the floor plan, that's why you all knew about the basement, secret passage and shortcuts. I am definitely sure he is not the only one who knows about this. Seungmin might know about this. What if he stayed up all night and pretended to be asleep but he is actually guarding the body?" Hana
"How did the body end up there? After what happened at the theater, we all went to our rooms. I am certain that I was awake and waiting for Ashika to arrive"
"What if the killer waited for you to leave for the club? Or he did some plan for you to leave the room? He probably hid the body after killing Ashika and waited for you to go. He knows that once the body is in here, you will be blamed because you are one of the people at the theater" Hana
"That could be right"
"Wait... The reason why the killer is always here because of the body. He knows the body is in here. He is not here for me but for the body. He probably wanted to get rid of it because everyone thought I am Ashika. He can't find the right time, since you guys are always here with me. I am sure he will panic once he find out that we saw the body" Hana
"At first, the killer also thought you are Ashika because of the notes I always leave. He thought Ashika is alive and you are her. He is not just here for the body, but to confirm if you are really here. That night, the first time he got here, he probably wanted to check the body but you were still here and didn't go out. You said he left quickly and left a note instead. The second time he went here, is when Ari was here. He was here to check the body and you but Ari saw him. When you passed out, he probably checked the body and find out you were pretending"
Hana looked at me "No way. Seungmin and Jisung knew I am not Ashika. I am not sure if Jisung is telling me the truth that we were friends before or he was just giving me a trap. Seungmin didn't give me a proper explanation on how he found out about me"
"It must be one of the two"
"I am not sure... Hyunjin's scent was here when the killer visited. Let's include him" Hana
The killer knew the body of Ashika is here and he knew Hana is pretending to be Ashika. He wanted to get rid of the body because everyone assumes that she is Ashika.
"I think the killer is obsessed with you"
She looked at me "Ya! You are scaring me. Why me? What did I do? He knows I am not Ashika. Why is obsessed with me?!"
"He is done with Ashika. He doesn't want to hurt you because he doesn't want you to end like Ashika. As much as he can, he is not hurting you because he wanted to own you. Just look at the eight suspects, each of them has their own way on how to get close to you"
"Are you crazy? You are really scaring me" Hana said and looked at the body closely
Someone knocked on the door that scared us both. She hurriedly covered that part with the carpet and made sure that there is nothing that can be seen.
I opened the door and saw Detective Chad "I am glad you are here. You have to see something"
He entered with a confuse expression.
I locked the door and dragged him to where Hana is. Hana took off the carpet and it shocked Detective Chad to see what is inside.
"Is that a dead body? Whose body-" Detective Chad
"That's Ashika"
His eyes widened as he heard the name. We have been looking for her but it turned out that she is dead.
"How come... Who would do this kind of thing? Why would the killer put her body here?" Detective Chad
"He wanted to put the blame on Katana. If someone sees the body, everyone will think Katana is the killer" Hana answered
"Hana, can you call Professor Roy? Don't tell anyone else about this yet. We have to think of a way" Detective Chad said
Hana nodded and hurriedly left the room.
"I think we should get her out of here"
"Why?" Detective Chad
"The killer is obsessed with Hana"
