To prepare for this episode I KNOW luna was with them in the last episodes but pretend she went home or something?-
DRACO
"we're going home..." i heard hermione whisper and lean into pansy, smiling
"home" pansy nodded and looked down at Hermione then back at us, looking around the room
Ron sighed lightly "it'll be odd... yenno, no dumbledoor... no snape... hagrid may be retiring soon" everyone's smile vanished as quickly as it appeared, a faint sadness spreading across the room. a flash of blonde fogged across the window, walking by and quickly coming back. the door slid open loudly
"hello everyone" the one and only: Lovely Luna Lovegood. I've missed her and it's been barely a night
"luna!" i stood from beside harry and hugged her tightly "i've missed you"
"Draco dear i've owled you everyday! i was even with you yesterday!" she giggled, her wide smile contagious. oh so that the sadness turned quickly to happiness, luna noticed the shift "why was everyone so sad? i felt the energy as i went by" ah yes, i almost forgot those extra little 'powers' luna seems to have compared to us
"oh... yeah lune, we were all just a little sad about dumbledoor, snape and the fact hagrid might be retiring soon..." hermione bit her lip lightly, chewing her bottom lip as she did when she was nervous.
"oh come now. those great men did their time here, they made their impact. be happy at the fact they died for such noble reasons and hagrid will still be on school grounds! either way, that man will refuse to leave us alone till the day we die, don't forget!" she giggled again, that bright up beat giggle. it was always the thing to light up a room, and it did it's job time and time again, everyone smiling
"i suppose you're right" harry smiled and pushed up his glasses "and i bet we'll each do our part for their remembrance. i heard they put up statues outside. and each their own paintings."
pansy nodded "i think we'll be sick of them even after we leave, plus we have ms mcgonogall as our headmistress, i'm sure she'll tell us plenty of stories about those old farts" we all laughed, it's nice to have a little family like this... yes, of course, i have mother and i love her dearly but... these people, in this room, this is my family. same as hogwarts is my true home. i smiled, i was looking at the floor as i thought and harry must of noticed, pulling me down to sit next to him again. he put his arm around my shoulder, he said nothing, but comforted me. just from holding me.
that's the affect they have on us...
i smiled more, i still cant believe harry's really mine... really my mate! blaise seemed to notice my silence and clapped his hands, knocking me out of my thoughts "right, so, you sitting down with us or will you just linger at the door, madame?" he smiled at her
"ah i'm not sure if we'll fit.." she looked at the cramped seats already with me, harry, hermione, pansy, blaise, neville and ron on
"we?" i tilted my head
"oh yes! i forgot to say, i've found my mate."
"oh?" i perked up
"yes..." she looked at harry, almost sympathetically, as a raven black haired girl walked over: cho chang. the scottish asian queen of ravenclaw (after luna of course)
"lunnie you coming de-" she looked into the room "well hello everyone- ah- hi harry" she waved awkwardly and he did the same back, just as much awkwardness
"everyone... this is my mate. though i suppose you all know her..." we all nodded. she turned to face cho "darling, they've invited us to sit with them, what do you say?"
"well will we fit?" she laughed lightly and looked into the cramped room
"we could always sit on the floor" she shrugged
cho nodded "it'd be nice to catch up"
after we settled and the girls were comfortable (pansy ended up on the floor between hermiones legs and neville decided sitting on blaises lap with his legs crawled up on rons legs was comfortable so we ended up with room on the seats)

"so, what have you two been up to all this time?" i smiled at luna and leaned back into harry's chest without realising
luna looked at me peculiarly but let's be honest, it's luna "well... at the battle, neville confessed to me so for the most part... i was dating him. then we bumped into blaise at the leaky tavern while on a 'date' and they discovered they were mates. once me and him broke up i wanted to find mine, i owled cho as we hadn't talked for a while so... we started talking more and discovered we were mates" she smiled
"awe that actually sounds quite sweet" hermione was playing with pansys hair
"and how did you two find out?" luna looked at the girls
"we haven't found our mates yet"
"what? i thought you two were..." she stopped herself "ah- never mind." she looked at blaise neville and ron "and ron? are you another mate?"
he nodded "ye jus... fan art other day (we just found out the other day)"
"Ah... I don't believe I've ever seen a 3 mating?"she grabbed her bag and pulled out a thick old book, flipping through the pages "I've never even seen it in any of my books-"
Cho grabbed the book and smiled at her "c'mon love, don't go on one of your rants we're here to catch up"
I mean no one actually cares when luna rants... I don't know about everyone else but honestly I enjoy her little rants because I know how happy she is when she does this
"It's alright." Hermione spoke up "we don't mind her rants, I think theyre nice" she smiled and looked at the boys "I mean I will be heading straight to the library to look this up" she giggled
Luna smiled and put her book away "well Harry, Draco: what about you two?"
"What about us?" I could hear Harry hold back a yawn
"Well... have you two found your mates?..."
"N-not yet" i sat up when I finally realised I was laid on Harry
Hermione frowned at me
Draco... you should tell them. They won't judge you
I know I know but... Ugh I don't know- I just... want to wait a little?
Alright... talk to Harry about it though, ok?
Of course
I snapped back from my thoughts "I'm hoping I might meet them there!" I smiled
Luna nodded "and you?" She looked at Harry
"Yeah uh... same here" he looked away at the window and cleared his throat
"Well.. it's good to see you two are getting along now atleast!" Luna shrugged
"Yeah... we're quite close now actually" I leaned back into Harry again
"I'm glad. You're twos rivalry was ridiculous" cho laughed
"Yeah... really stupid" I laughed a little awkwardly
I looked over at blaise but he was focused on neville and ron, the two fast asleep on him. Hermione noticed the tension in the room, as she normally does and suggested something "how about we play a game? Like yesterday" She smiled
"What kind of game?" Pansy looked up at Hermione
"Well... we played truth or dare kiss or swear yesterday, though not for long, the only other muggle games I know are: spin the bottle, seven minutes in heaven, would you rather and, again, truth or dare/kiss or swear" she shrugged
"How do you even play those?..."
"Spin the bottle, there's a bottle in the middle, one person spins it and who it lands on they have to kiss... but maybe with some of us having mates that's not the best idea..."
I felt Harry sit up a little "seven minutes in heaven is when random pairs go to a separate room for 7 minutes"
Hermione nodded "would you rather is when you give someone two options and they have to pick which they'd rather have. And we've already played truth or dare kiss or swear."
"I think seven in minutes in heaven sounds fun!" Pansy perked up
"But is there a spear booth?"
"Gimme a sec" Pansy stood from under hermione and opened the cabin door. After a minute or so we heard children screaming
"Shes torturing the new years... isn't she..." hermione sighed and Pansy came back
"Clear cabin next door!" She smiled devilishly
"Girl you're fucking scary" blaise whispered, still conscious of the boys waking up
"Mhm whatever now let's get on wi-" she spoke loudly, as per usual, and Blaise glared daggers at her as neville shifted "with it..." she whispered and smiled at blaise. She sat between Hermione's legs again "ok so how you wanna do this?"
"Well it was your idea?" Harry groaned
"Yeah- well yeah- but like... how do we do the randomising thing?" Pansy tucked in her legs and laid back closer to Hermione
"We can't really pick a name from a hat now can we?" He laughed
That sweet laugh... gods I will never get enough of it...
"Harry, don't you have a mobile phone yet?" Hermione chirped as she pulled something from her cardigan pocket "if I go onto google I can use a randomiser" she smiled, beginning to type in everyone's names "alright first is..." she pressed the button and waited "Harry and Blaise!"
"What." They growled in unison
