Set in season seven

Pollen drifted on the soft breeze, as the flowers began to bloom in the morning light. It was still early, barely a hermit awake as the sun began to rise over the shopping district. The first day of spring was so peaceful, something that Xisuma always enjoyed. That was actually why he was up so early, the admin taking a stroll through the island before the day took its chaotic turn.

Normally, he would have a nice cup of tea and watch the sun rise. But today, something was different. The Brit couldn't help but wander, his mind someplace else. Something was pulling at him, the feeling an odd mix of desire and longing. He wasn't sure what he was yearning for, but the admin was sure it was near.

"Oh," he paused, Xisuma noticing a lonely bumblebee perched on a rose bush. Their body was covered in pollen, the insect flapping their clear wings to lift themself off the red petal of the flower. "Why hello there!"

The bee fluttered over, landing on the admin's gloved finger. Although he was wearing his yellow helmet, which was clearly mimicking the insect that sat on his hand, Xisuma couldn't help but pause. Something smelled...good. Like, really good. It must have been overpowering, since he could smell it through his headgear, but the Brit couldn't care less.

His attention turned towards the flowering bushes that decorated the shopping district. 'N-no, that's crazy,' Xisuma thought reluctantly. 'I...it can't be the pollen, could it? I should really stop wearing these mob suits, I'm starting to think like one..'

The admin waved his hand slightly, shaking off the bee while also shaking away the absurd thought. How crazy would that be! Turning into a mob, simply because his armor looked like the insect. Xisuma laughed to himself, strolling past the plants to head back to his honey shop. A nice cup of tea would make all these strange feelings melt away, along with those preposterous thoughts!

Still, the lovely scent was faintly present in the back of his mind. Xisuma let out a slight hum as he walked up the hill towards his shop, shutting his eyes as his shoulders began to slouch. It was a tempting smell, really, he couldn't deny that. The admin could feel his worry and dread melt away with each inhale of the flowering island, it was simply alluring.

Climbing up the steps, Xisuma trudged up the hill that led to the honeypot. He blinked, the honey dripping out of the shop glistening in the morning light. The admin shook his head, trying to ignore the golden blocks. It looks so very enticing, like it was calling to him. Though, he quickly went inside to try and clear his head.

He opened a barrel, pulling out a glass filled with a golden orange liquid. The honey shop hadn't done too well lately, everyone had made their own farms, Xisuma assumed. He'd only use a little for his tea, just to give it an added sweetness.

Though, there was a small thought in the back of his mind. What if...what if he drank the honey, instead of tea? It would take a while for drink to brew anyway, so maybe it was best to have a quick sip of the sugary goodness. Just to tie Xisuma over before he can prepare a cup of tea, of course.

Carefully taking off his helmet, the admin set it down onto a barrel full of honey blocks before the smell of flowers hit him square in the face. Even thought the spring breeze was warm, the pollen that lingered in the air made the hair on Xisuma's neck stand upright.

'Is this really a good idea?' The Brit paused slightly, staring at his reflection in the glass bottle. It wouldn't hurt, would it..? He quickly gave in, pulling the cork off the bottle and discarding it carelessly to the side.

Honey became the only thing Xisuma could smell, which caused him to slightly gasp. The scent was more pungent than anything he could have ever described, so powerful, but the admin couldn't help but feel even more drawn to the golden liquid.

He put the cool glass to his lips, pleasure rolling down his spine as the honey made contact with his tongue. Why was it so good?! Better than anything, really! Xisuma couldn't even remember why he had thought twice about trying the sweet substance, since it was such an astonishing taste.

One sip turned into two, then three, then before the admin could tell, the entire bottle was gone. A whine of displeasure slipped through his sugar-coated lips, the tingle and warmth that the golden liquid provided quickly fading. He was so distracted by the flavor and smell that Xisuma had forgotten that he stood in a honey shop, with dozens more bottles to drink and enjoy.

The fake bee wings that rested on the back of his yellow armor began to flutter happily, as if they had suddenly come to life. Xisuma didn't mind, dropping the glass bottle as he dug through the barrel to pull out a new glass of honey.

By the time that glass was empty and licked clean, the British bee couldn't help but feel tingly. The clear insect wings on his back felt like they had broke through his armor, attaching themselves to his bare skin. Along with that, the top of his head felt warm as two long antenna grew.

Running his hand through his long chestnut hair, Xisuma froze as his finger brushed past one of his new antenna. "G-goodness me," he choked, feeling how sensitive and weak the new body parts felt when touched.

The antenna on his head moved around slightly, with the admin unsure if he was the one controlling them. Something was still pulling at him, much stronger now, and his new appendages seemed to know the way. Xisuma snatched a couple more bottles of honey to enjoy on the way, before following his instincts.

He hummed as he walked, the admin unknowingly buzzing a bit as his wings fluttered. It didn't feel too strange, Xisuma wouldn't have even noticed the changes if he hadn't felt the antenna on his head. He didn't mind, he couldn't. It just felt so amazing, the Brit was stuck in some kind of bliss that melted all his worries away.

Popping the cork off another bottle, Xisuma began greedily drinking the thick and rich honey. His eyes began to darken, turning into a dull shade of brown that almost made the admin look soulless and empty. Though, they managed to light up with excitement as he spotted the rose bushes up ahead.

Pollen was drifting through the air, the flowers  dancing with the light breeze. It was just so hypnotic and beautiful, the bee could feel himself step closer towards the roses. He stepped onto the soil, the small shrubs on the ground like a bed of flowers. Would it be weird for him to lay in it? Possibly. But all the feelings of oddity and discomfort melted away with his last bottle of honey.

Laying down in the flowers, Xisuma buzzed and buzzed as a grin spread across his face. The spring sunlight warmed his body, as the pollen from the roses made him feel right at home. He never wanted to move, all he wanted was to stay here and drink endless amounts of wonderful honey.

"Ah! Hello, sweetface!"

The admin lazily cracked open one eye (he hadn't realized that they had been closed) to spot his business partner standing there with a smile. Keralis was walking to his shops when he spotted Xisuma laying on a bed of rose bushes, so he decided to check on the British bee.

"What are you doing, Shashwammy?" He laughed, "Are you okay? Or are you just taking a break laying on some flowers?"

His words sounded sarcastic, but Xisuma nodded eagerly. Yes, yes! Exactly! He hummed and buzzed happily, sitting upright as he pulled out a bottle of honey. "Drink," was the only word he could manage to say, the admin's wings fluttering so fast from his joy. He could share this feeling of pleasure with Keralis, the builder would love it!

However, he raised an eyebrow in skepticism, shaking the bottle to study the golden liquid. "Hm? You want me to drink honey?"

Yet again, Xisuma nodded eagerly. "It's incredible. I've never had anything like it."

Keralis held a frown, though he tugged the cork and pulled it off with the faintest pop. "Are you just trying to get me to buy honey from your shop, Shashwammy? This is really strange." He asked, bringing the bottle to his lips as the bee watched in anticipation.

He swallowed the thick sweetness, cheeks beginning to heat up as the flavor rested on the builder's tongue. "O-oh wow," Keralis mumbled, panting a bit. "That's...addictive..."

"Mm," The admin hummed with a nod, relaxing against the gentle flower bushes, almost as if it were a throne. A slight grin crept across his face, simply knowing that Keralis would soon be exactly like him filled Xisuma with joy.

Finishing the bottle, signs of transformation were already beginning to show. The British bee could spot two short antenna beginning to poke out of the builder's hair, one slightly longer than the other. It was adorable, soon he would be nothing more than an obedient little worker. Xisuma felt strangely proud.

A mix between a whimper and a buzz managed to break through Keralis' honey-coated lips, which made the admin pull out another bottle of the golden-orange liquid. "Is this what you want?" He asked, head cocking to the side. "Use your words, little bee."

The comment didn't strike any red flags in Keralis' mind, mainly due to the fact that he was so focused on the honey that he didn't properly hear Xisuma's voice. "Y-yes," he muttered, the builder's voice desperately begging for the bottle. "Yes, I want it!"

Smiling, the bee tossed the honey to Keralis, who fumbled to uncork the bottle before he started to sloppily drink. A bit spilled down his chin, as a pair of clear wings began to flutter from underneath his shirt. It all made the admin's grin spread even further.

Xisuma had needed between three and four bottles of honey for his full transformation to take hold, yet Keralis only needed two, the admin noticing that the transformation seemed to end as his eyes turned dark and hazy. The builder glanced up from his empty glass, expecting yet another bottle of honey to be graciously gifted to him. "Tsk," the bee said, standing up from his throne of flowers.

"I'm sorry, little bee. No more honey, for now. You have to earn this." He said, Xisuma simply following the words that his instincts prompted him to say. He barely even registered the fact that he was speaking.

"Wha—? What do I need to do, Shashwammy?"

"Restrain yourself," the admin said while handing the newly transformed bee three more glasses of honey. "—and bring me more little workers, we'll need a lot of help to build a hive."

Keralis' antenna twitched. "Hive...?" His dark pupils seemed to widen, like the simple word had flipped a switch in his mind, his new animalistic instincts beginning to take hold. Suddenly, it was like Xisuma was no longer his friend. No, he was the queen! The newly-transformed bee felt more than honored to have been the first bee inducted into the hive!

"Yes, yes." The admin cooed, Keralis hanging on his every word. He look eager to do whatever Xisuma would ask of him. "We'll have a home, all of us. Once you bring a few more bees, you'll be able to start building a hive with everyone else."

That sounds good. Better than good, That sounds wonderful. Keralis could already see himself, working hard with the other hermits, all eager to serve their wonderful queen. It was his new purpose. Like he was made for it.

He buzzed happily as the wings on his back had enough strength to break free from his shirt. They felt...strange. Warm, nice, like they had always been apart of him. Keralis fluttered them slightly, lifting himself off the ground, the ability to fly with his new wings coming naturally.

"You know what to do, right?" Xisuma asked, looking up at his loyal subject that fluttered in the air. The bee nodded eagerly, a wide grin across his face.

"Yes! Yes! I'll give the hermits the honey and bring them to you when they're ready to serve you!"

The admin smiled kindly. "Good little bee," he said, which sent a spark of pleasure and joy through Keralis' heart. The praise sent him spinning, though the builder kept himself in the air.

Keralis flew off, buzzing happily as he searched for the next victim. Xisuma trudged back to his throne of flowers and rose bushes, his eyelids slightly fluttering as they grew heavy. The pollen and warmth of the sun was so hard to resist, all the bee wanted to do was curl up and fall asleep.

He trusted Keralis. Soon, they would have a hive. Then, all of the hermits would join them.
