"You can hit harder than that." You block Tommy's feeble blow with your wooden sword, his iron blade digging a chip into your weapon.
"I'm fucking trying!" He grunted, pulling his sword out with difficulty. He let out a small "ooph!", landing on the ground.
"C'mon, get up." You said, getting into your ready position. "Let's do this for real this time. You never know when you might need the skill."
He sighs, getting up back on his feet.
"Ready?"
"No." He gets up anyway, positioning so that he can brace his back for any attacks.
"Perfect. 1. 2. 3. Go." He lunges at you, and you sidestep him. He stumbles, turning around to try and attack you again. You squat, sweeping your legs beneath his feet. He almost avoids falling, losing balance and digging his sword into the ground in attempt to stay up.
He doesn't.
You chuckle, sitting down next to him.
"Break?"
"Break." He groans, burying his face in his knees.
