Despite her diligent efforts of the countless amount of time she had spent designing the clothes for Aespa to now where they were getting it all fitted on for the photo shoot, Yeonhee's eyes kept darting over to the clock.
His break was soon
"Should I use this for Ningning instead of Karina?"
The question from the staff member made Yeonhee snap out of her inner thoughts and nod.
"It would go more with her outfit."
The staff member nodded, hurrying off to finalise the looks and Yeonhee sighed out of relief knowing everything was finally coming together.
Checking everything was ready to go, she adjusted the way piece of clothing was laying on Winter's shoulder- smiling at the face the girl thoroughly praised her.
"You're looking happy- is everything feeling a bit better now?" Giselle voiced when Yeonhee was zipping up her handbag.
"Yeah, I think I'm getting used to just ignoring the hate comments because at first it was all so sudden and now I just know they don't mean shit."
"Yes girl, exactly. You're so much better than the jealous bitches."
"You know it." Yeonhee winked, dramatically flipping her hair and they both laughed.
"You're looking hot today, your piece?"
"Yep, you know it. I'm happy I can leave now to be honest."
Giselle gasped at her comment.
"Girl what, I'm taking offence to that."
Yeonhee rolled her eyes with a light laugh.
"Love you guys but-"
"But you're so in love with your boyfriend you're dying to see him."
"Shut up." Yeonhee grumbled with a glare but breaking out of it to yell out her goodbyes.
"Have fun everyone!"
She excused herself halfway through the photo shoot, stepping out of the room and squinting at the bright hallway lights.
Greeting the people who passed her down the hallway as she headed towards the elevator, Yeonhee was just excited to see Mark again. It had been busy lately because of his schedules but she didn't mind, he was doing well and she was proud.
Making her way to the practice room, she glanced inside it to see half of the members still dancing, one being her boyfriend.
Instead of walking into the practice, she decided to sit down on the sofa chair by the water dispenser and vending machines near the practice room.
As she was scrolling on her phone, she heard the door opening and a couple of footsteps heading out of the practice room. Jaehyun was the first to emerge, pushing back his sweaty hair with shallow breaths.
"Oh- hey." He greeted. "We're all done for now. Mark's inside."
"Thank you." She smiled, standing up to slide her phone into her bag and greet the other tired members as they left.
She didn't see Mark leaving, concluding he was still inside which made her body tingle with confusion and worry.
Pushing the door open, she could feel the floor vibrating with the loud music, her eyes landed on the figure who was still trying to go through the dance moves.
He hadn't noticed her, too consumed with getting the moves right with his eyebrows furrowed as if he was unsatisfied.
Closing the door behind her, Yeonhee knew he wouldn't be able to hear her over the music so she began to walk over to him- his eyes catching sight through the mirror.
"Not taking a break?" She raised a brow as she turned the song off from the speakers while he walked over to the seating area to grab his water bottle.
He hadn't said anything and she could tell by his body language he was very distracted and bothered by something.
Knowing he was probably putting himself down for his unsatisfactory practice, Yeonhee walked wordlessly towards him.
His head was tilted back, allowing the cold water to replenish his thirst and dry throat from the strenuous practice.
Mark felt arms sliding around his waist and her hands by the middle of his torso with one gripping onto her other wrist in a tight lock around his body.
"Take a break." Her gentle voice strayed far from the unserious tone she often displayed when seeing him. "Come on."
Yeonhee's cheek rested on the side of his shoulder to look up at him as he sighed that she could feel the tension in his body relax as if he had given up.
"I just," he sounded dejected. "I keep messing up. I have to perform tomorrow too...I can't mess up tomorrow."
"You won't mess up, just take a small break- the boys are going to be back later to continue. You don't have to keep practicing right now." She spoke, staring up at his side profile with concern.
He shook his head, a frown tugging at his lips no matter how much he tried to change his negative thoughts.
"I need to though, I don't want to mess up tomorrow- I just can't, it's just not working I don't know what happened it just- I can't get it right no matter how hard I try it's not enough to get it right."
Her grip loosed around his body, leaving him with a lack of warmth however, she soon came into view as she stood in front of him- hands clasping onto both of his cheeks to tilt his head downwards.
His dispirited, sad eyes met hers that held concern but a determination and warmth as she began to speak.
"You do more than enough though, I've never seen anyone work as hard as you and it always pays off doesn't it? But you can do it, I know you can you know you can do it too- you're just getting yourself worked up about it and it won't help if you're in here constantly going at it."
The comforting feeling of her palms on his cheek and her words made his overwhelming stress begin to fade. It always did feel like it would be okay, she made him feel like it would be okay and it will all work out.
"Let's take a break and you can try again later okay? Don't worry about it for now, you're going to tire yourself out."
Instead of speaking, not trusting his voice due to high emotions- he nodded and she smiled at him.
His eyes followed at how her faint dimples appeared when her lips curved up- her cheeks becoming more rounded and the corners of her eyes crinkling at the corners.
Hands leaving his flushed cheeks from his heavy practice, she instead opened her arms out to him offering a hug which he never would turn down.
Mark inched closer to her as she reached up to secure her arms around his neck just as his own took security around her waist. His head fell into the dip of her shoulder, eyes closing as he basked in the comfort of his girlfriend's embrace.
Her arms were up around him, causing the cropped shirt she was wearing to rise where his arms took place just under her ribcage by her waist. Her skin was warm, a nice warm but his grip around her sent light streaks of shivers up her spine.
She tightened her grip around him in a reassuring manner and the practice room was relatively silent aside from the fact she could hear the own irregular rhythm of her heart that always amplified when being close to him like this.
"Did you eat?" He asked, voice a quiet murmur against her shoulder but she hummed.
"Yeah but I'm kinda hungry again, wanna grab some food?"
He nodded in agreement but his actions said otherwise as he didn't move away from her.
She couldn't help but chuckle, her hand coming to the back of his neck as she put her feet firmly on the ground which kind of broke the hug. Even though their bodies were still against each other and his arms were around her, his head was no longer taking solace in her warmth.
"I know you'd love to stay here and hug me but time is of the- what's the saying? I don't know but, come on we don't really have long Markie."
"Okay," he replied, leaning forward with a kiss of gratitude placing on her forehead which made her cheeks lightly flush but he had pulled away to slip on his sweater and pull a cap over his head to hide the fact his hair wasn't really styled.
Yeonhee was already by the door, holding it open as he reached her with his phone slipping into his pocket- thanking her as they both stepped into the hallway.
It was much cooler out here, a nice feeling after his rigorous practice. She reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear and when her hand returned to her side, she felt his fingers slip through hers.
"You know, the cooks here actually love me."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah man, ooh- guess what?" Yeonhee perked up with glimmers of excitement in her eyes.
No one in the company was particularly surprised by seeing them together, though it wasn't a secret anymore which was more surprising.
There were subconscious eyes on how their hands were intertwined and he was looking at her with his full genuine attention, a smile grazing his lips at how happy she was- rambling on about something that had happened at working earlier.
The two of them were always in their own worlds, a bubble of just them two and it was endearing to see- especially with how clear it was they both made each other happy.
They really were meant to be.

Yeonhee worriedly sighed for the umpteenth time that evening, checking her phone as Mark had been at practice for a few hours since she left and said he wanted to come over to hang out with her.
She was worried that he was pushing himself too far then putting himself down over a few mistakes. She really did worry for him a lot.
The girl was laying on her bed, an arm behind her head as she scrolled through tiktok as she normally would when she had time to herself.
It wasn't that long until her bedroom door was nudged open, her eyes drifting to the door where Mark had already walked into the room as he pulled off his cap.
"Hey." He greeted, hint of tiredness in his voice.
"Hey love, how was practice?" Yeonhee asked, watching him.
He shrugged lethargically and instead of her usually cuddling into him, Mark slid into the bed next to her with the lack of energy to go into detail but he just felt too overwhelmed by his emotions and the stress of his comeback that he just felt like he wanted to be held.
His arm sliding around her abdomen and with a surprise to her, his head lowered for his cheek to rest on her shoulder.
Her hand let her phone drop to the bed, wrapping an arm around him as her other hand brushed the hair out of his face.
"What's wrong?"
He felt a little guilty about not being about to have more of a happier time when he came to visit her but it was becoming straining for him as he tried to deal with it alone.
He shifted closer to her, his head burying in her neck to gain more comfort as he closed his eyes, relaxing in the way her hand was gently patting his back in a consoling way.
"Just...it all feels like, like it's...feels suffocating sometimes."
"What in particular makes you feel like that?"
"...I don't know." He mumbled, sighing softly as a headache formed behind his eyes. "I just want to stop practicing sometimes but I can't. I just want to do well."
"You are doing well. You're doing so well, I'm really proud of you Markie."
"Thank you Yeon ...I just feel like people don't like the song and I know I shouldn't let it get to me but- I don't know."
His worries had been clouding his mind lately and it did feel nice to let it out and he didn't feel as troubled knowing he had her to rely on.
"You know, people might not like it but it doesn't mean it's a bad song. I love it, a lot of people love it too you know? It's different but it's something you guys can pull off- you literally pull it off so well and your performances are always amazing like damn, at least let me fangirl peacefully you know?"
She felt his body vibrate with a laugh, a smiling on her lips knowing he was laughing.
"It's just been hectic."
She hummed knowingly, fingers getting lost in his hair that she knew he hated the fact he kept dyeing but he really did pull off whatever colour he got.
"I know it might seem overwhelming sometimes and that's okay but don't put yourself down over things. Like you're incredibly talented and everything you do is enough- more than enough actually. And I'm always here for you okay? Although, half the time I'm not sure if I'm making sense."
She felt his arm around her tightening, his nose brushing against her neck as he sweetly planted a kiss there.
"I think you're making sense don't worry- thank you babe- for listening to me and understanding."
"It's what I'm here for my friend." Yeonhee declared with ease, hearing him scoff.
"Did you just call me your friend?"
"Yeah bro, why?"
"I'm literally your boyfriend dude."
"Sorry dude, I forgot."
"Righttt."
"You're so cute you know?" She said out of nowhere after a comfortable pause. "Also I love it when you come and cuddle me- so cute. Now, let's watch our series."
"What episode did you get onto? You didn't watch the 12th did you?"
"Nope, I waited for you of course. Okay I got it, it's starting Marker."

As it grew later, the two were situated under the covers next to each other watching funny videos that had a lot of Mark's moments in.
There were tears gathering in her eyes as he whined at her to stop making fun of him.
"It's not funny."
His statement only made her burst out laughing more and he couldn't help it as his own laughter rang through the air.
At the sound of the two, the big dog hurried into the room with his leash in his mouth to drop it on the bed next to them.
"Oh shit," Yeonhee cursed in realisation at the fact that she was meant to take Milo on a walk like hours ago.
"Hm?" Mark questioned
"I forgot to take him on a walk. Let me ask Hyunjae if she can hold on."
"No I can't! I'm doing my assignment!" Hyunjae called out and Yeonhee reached out to pet Milo.
"Okay," she began, getting out of the bed which confused him as she went straight to her wardrobe. "I'll be back soon I'm gonna just take him on a quick walk."
There wasn't a reply from Mark, though she didn't notice while rummaging through her wardrobe.
"I'll come."
His words didn't register in her brain for a second, she stood there stilled and turned slowly to her boyfriend who was sat up on the bed.
"Huh? Wait...come on the walk with us?"
He nodded, glancing outside at how it was dark and at least not too many people were around but of course they'd be some.
Mark had been feeling a bit suffocated lately plus he craved to spend time with her, imagining all the things he wanted to do with her.
"But..." she trailed off and he cut in.
"I mean- I don't have to come I was just like...it would be nice."
He was unsure of what her reaction would be but he wasn't expecting her face to light up and her rushing over to tackle him in a hug.
"Wait really? Really really?"
His back was against the bed, hands resting on her as he breathed out a laugh.
"Woah there, a warning maybe? And yeah."
Yeonhee leaned away from him, sitting up with a wide smile.
"You have no idea how excited I am."
"I can tell by your face." He laughed, reaching out to lightly pinch her cheek which had been accentuated by her smile.
The both of them were excited and of course he did bring it up to his manager before anything and they were even more excited they they were allowed to.
The evening has the sky painted in a dark deep velvet canvas, stretching on for eternity and more. There was a light surge of coldness but it wasn't too cold, Yeonhee's hand gripped the leash which Milo was pulling on from being really happy.
"You've never walked down my neighbourhood have you?" She asked and he shook his head, only having come straight from a car and back again.
He was walking alongside her down the deserted streets, it felt unreal to be doing something so natural for most couples but it felt like such a long awaited dream for them.
"I used to catch the bus here, actually I'd have to run because I was always late you know? Then I passed my driving test thank god."
"I can imagine you running for the bus while it's taking off."
"Oh for sure, I was so fast that I legit ran and stopped it with my bare hands."
"Damn, that's mad skill." He played along.
Although she lived in a quiet area, their walk in the evening had turned into a slightly more public space yet they still kept to a pathway she used often knowing many people weren't around.
Milo seemed like he was enjoying himself, giving Yeonhee a hard time as he was excitedly rushing but she had to tell him to calm down a bit.
Laughing, Mark crouched down to fondly pet the dog that loved to be petted by him especially.
"You baby him so much you know?"
"He's so cute though." Mark commented, smiling and standing up. His hand reached out towards hers, grabbing the leash from her hand to hold instead.
"Did you see what Chenle said on bubble?"
"Dude, he legit has no care about anything. It was quite cool though also- I thought I was a good pubg player."
"Hmm, let's not go that far Markie."
The roads were still busy for it being evening, cars speeding from all directions as they came to the crossing.
"People are so reckless." He commented watching the cars.
Mark and Yeonhee were conscious that they were in public and weren't comfortable in actually flaunting their relationship with PDA but his hand brushed against hers in a means to make sure she kept close with her lightly grasping into it but letting go after a few seconds.
"I can't wait for you to start driving. Can I teach you?"
"Dude, what if I crash your car?"
"Then buy me a new one duh, why do you think I'm dating a rich man like you?"
He threw his head back laughing, shaking his head in humour.
"I always knew you were using me."
"I know you're using me cuz I'm so cool and you wanna be cool."
"Shit man, how did you know?"
Yeonhee's lips stretched in a smile, their eyes meeting under the glow of the street lamps and the bright moonlight creating silver hues in the sky.
Despite the worries of their relationship being public, Mark felt oddly liberated- the suffocating feeling weighting down on him earlier had lifted.
They both knew there were people who recognised them but it came as a surprise when no one came up to them- thankfully.
No doubt it was online though but the two of them were too busy laughing at what the other was saying and talking away as if it was just them two.
Even to the people unbothered by their relationship, it was clear how strong of feelings they had for each other.
