Jimin was seated on your couch, a blanket covering his stretched legs as in his hands remained the book you gave to him, in order for him to pass his time.
You had tried watching some movies together after you had eaten but you couldn't agree on what to watch for he seemed to already know have of the ones that were on the site and disapprove of the rest.
Never in your life, you had thought that watching a simple movie would turn out to be such a difficult process yet somehow he had made it so and that was why you had ended up giving up the idea altogether and him to question if you had any books instead.
The truth was that you didn't read many literature pieces as your time was limited and all you were interested in were books and articles that would basically help you improve your writing skills, however to his luck you had a hard copy at home that was the birthday gift you had bought for your sister and which she had rejected.
It wasn't the first book of the series however Jimin didn't seem to mind so you just handed it to him and proceeded to mind your business in front of your laptop for the next upcoming hours.
You were totally focused on your craft till your phone buzzed, reminding you of the time and the fact that you had three hours left from work, two of which you were supposed to pass them sleeping in order to recharge. However as you closed your laptop with thoughts of doing so, Jimin fell to your notice.
There laid a smirk over his lips as his eyes kept observing the page of the book and for some reason, the sight made you curious about what could he be possibly reading to have him looking so pleased.
You had never read that book yourself nor you really knew what the series was about. You had only bought it because BreeAhn used to read it and speak of it highly. When she wasn't able to find the last book of the series you recalled her being sad for a whole week and looking for it everywhere so it definitely must be a quite remarkable piece yet you hadn't been curious about it, till that very moment.
You cleared your throat a bit, as you stood up from your chair and walked over to him in the most a way that wouldn't seem too obvious that you were going to him just to check on his page. Your eyes travelled around as if you were searching for something else then you walked casually behind him, pretending like you were fixing something on the curtains that was basically the only thing behind him at that very moment.
You slowly looked behind you, noticing that he still was merged in his reading and hadn't even acknowledged your existence, and you didn't hesitate to lean a bit closer so you could take a look at the letters written. Your eyes travelled fast and the information didn't take long to sink into your head, making your eyes pop wide at the realization that this was a spicy scene.
"What the- How dare she read such things! Seriously- she was so young when she started this! What-" you expressed your thoughts out loud right above his head, as your mind got blown by the fact that your sister used to read such things and you had no idea. You even went and looked for this book for her. Oh my how much more embarrassing it felt now, thinking that you had questioned at libraries searching for this book. Now it made so much more sense why they used to throw you those weird looks.
"Oh my - yah! Don't read that!" You literally snatched the book out of his hold and Jimin couldn't help but laugh for he had noticed you since the moment you stepped away from your desk but he didn't mind you seeing this page.
"You sure have taste in books Y/N. I was surprised by this orientation of yours, I admit." He gave you a suggestive look and you couldn't help but find the need to crawl under the ground and never get out at that moment, however, such a thing was obviously not possible.
"It's not mine. I bought it for someone else." You replied as sternly as you could manage, not intending to play with this topic, yet for some reason, a playful expression still loomed over his face as he pulled the blanket away and stood tall before you.
"I believe you, no need to be so defensive. However, that book sure has some interesting characters. Wanna act out a scene with me?" His question got you frozen for a moment as you just blinked and he casually brought his hand and retrieved the book from your hold, soon scrolling through some pages and finding what he was looking for.
"I know you aren't interested in acting however from the last time we tried, I do still believe you have some potential. Let's practice a bit. I kinda fell in love with this scene." He turned the book around and kept it open before you, showing you which one he was talking about and you took a moment to read briefly over it.
"The heck are they doing all over each other? Nope, I am not acting that." You denied immediately then tried to leave but Jimin stepped on your way quickly.
"Wait wait, let me explain. So these two characters are ex-lovers and now they are enemies. The girl is a mass murderer part of a mafia gang and the guy is with the police. He has the ability to read people's minds and see their memories while the girl is really skilled with knives and daggers. It's a supernatural romance basically. This specific moment has depth." He rumbled, looking quite eager to convince you and you just listened, finding the information he had shared so far not that uninteresting.
"Prior to this page, they had a moment where they happened to be too close to each other and she imagined herself and him kissing, she tried to shove the thought away but he had already read it once they locked eyes. " The enthusiasm in his face as he spoke was evident enough to make you think that he was already sold for this book.
"Okay, okay. I get the suspense and the tension between them but why do you want to act it out? It's reading and imagining it already enough?" You argued since even though the book may be great that didn't excuse his desire to make the said scene a reality.
"I just want to steal the emotions. I have never loved and hated someone simultaneously with the same strength of emotions. That pain, that torment. It must have a taste and I just would like to know it." His face fell serious as he replied, leaving you a bit to think of his words as unnatural, for which normal human beings would crave to feel different kinds of pain just for knowledge.
"You...you seriously are so strange." You couldn't help but comment on his approach yet he didn't seem to be taking the use of your words in a negative way.
"Okay let's leave it on luck. I will throw a coin. Heads I win and we react to the scene. Tails you win and I act it out alone." He proposed then proceeded to search at the pockets of his jeans for any coins but found none.
" I don't see why I should be even participating on this, to begin with, to not mention that you are sick and you shouldn't be acting out absolutely anything but since you seem to insist..." You left an exhale escape your lips as you turned around and approached your desk, grabbing a coin from the little bowl you kept at the side with gathered change from shopping.
"I will throw it." You announced, feeling as if you couldn't trust him to not cheat somehow in this then you flipped the coin in the air, making it travel further than you had imagined as it fell on the ground and rolled all over to the leg of the small table.
You rushed over to it simultaneously with Jimin, your heads colliding slightly with each other as you hovered above it, only to find out that luck wasn't on his side.
"Seems like your coins like me more than you, acting partner." He directed a small wink at you as your heads drove away from each other and then he turned around and took hold of the book again, opening it on the same page and handing it to you.
" You have thirty minutes. Learn it." He ordered and you couldn't help but regret the fact that you gave him that book altogether.

I am taking the chance to announce that I am participating in a competition, at webnovel. I am relatively new there and don't know many people so if you could find the time or the will to visit that site and support me, I would be very grateful.
The book is called " Apartment Affairs" it was originally a bts fanfiction uploaded on this account in Greek but I took it down and I am now translating it for the competition as an original work. It's a romantic comedy and it's light yet deep at times and highly entertaining. One of my favourites that I have written actually.
I don't have many hopes for winning that competition cause there's obviously way better candidates than I but I still wanted to give it a serious try and that is why I am making this announcement about it too.
