Y/n's Pov:
Safiya puts the first artifact on the shelf and shows the others the note that she found, "Not everyone in town is telling the truth..." "What if it's one of us..?" I speak up. "I'm really keeping my eye on Joey, right now. I feel like he's hiding something from us" Colleen says agreeing.
Calliope pulls the map off the wall and we see that there's new things on it. "Beware the snakes. The serpent's eyes lie in wait." Great, now there's snakes. And I thought this couldn't get worse.
(A/n: I actually had pet snakes)
I see something in the corner of my eye, it's someone watching us! Everyone else notices her and Calliope yells at us to grab her, so we do. She takes off and everyone is chasing her.
We catch her and end up tieing her to a chair. "Who are you!?" "And what were you doing?" She starts to explain, "I'm looking for the same thing you're looking for!" "And what's that?" "The serpent's eye?" Out of know where Joey yells, "She was bit!" Apparently the snake woman bit her! And kinda stole her husband-
We continue to integrate, "Do you know anything about an artifact?" "I don't know, look for suits in the lounge. That's what I heard!" Calliope decides to stay and watch her while everyone else looks for the artifact.
So we go to the lounge. Joey finds a bunch of cards, so suits must mean the suits in a deck of cards. Aka hearts, diamond, spades, and clubs. We find a bunch of cards and put them together on a table, it makes this weird puzzle, so we have to put them together correctly to get the next clue. While we're figuring out the puzzle Manny finds a dice, but it has a club on it. When he went to out it on the table it got magnetized to it.
Someone found a perfume so obviously you have to spray it on something! Manny and Nikita spray it on this blank piece of paper on the wall and it reveals a map of the room we're in. There's an X, and X always marks the spot. I start moving stuff around and find a latch on the ground, I open it and realize that's it! It's a clock, but each of the hands have a suit. We have to arrange it a certain way.
After figuring stuff out we now know that eight equals hearts, the one equals club, and ten equals diamond. But we still need to figure out the last one. Everyone is looking around, but Colleen sees that this tiny statue of liberty is missing the hand and Safiya finds the hand holding a ring with a spade on it! They put the pieces together and Colleen looks through the ring trying to figure out if it points to something, but she can't find anything.
Mat being the genius he is points to another ring, "Does that ring line up with this ring?" This time Joey looks through it and lines it up. It points to a poster with the number five on it. Five equals spade!
We line the clock gands up and this time the clock opens! Inside there's the serpent's eyes and a note, "This is the second of the wicked artifacts. To cleanse the serpent's eyes you must find the head of a great snake, place the eye inside, and bathe it in the blood of a serpent's heart."
We're waiting for the creature to show up, so we can get this over with when we hear screaming. We run back to the arcade and see the serpent eating the girl from earlier. The serpent notices us and runs away. She just came back to finish the job.
We end up checking her body for clues and Colleen finds matches. Apparently there's writing on the match box, "Meet me at Fat Man Slims 7:30, Cindy" So we go to Fat Man Slims, but on our way there the serpent attacks the group and ends up biting Colleen and running away once again. We check up on Colleen to make sure she's alive. Thankfully she is, but she only has 20 minutes to live, unless we make an antidote! We split up and my group goes to the drugstore
There's potions and jars EVERYWHERE...how in the hell are we supposed to do this in time. "Oh! Guys look, Anti-Venom recipe!" Well that was easy. We see a bunch of pamphlets on the tables. One of which tells us the exact steps to create an anti-venom. After the ingredients are gathered they have to be combined in a centrifuge. If done correctly the liquid will be yellow.
(I'm to lazy to write all the sciencey shit) It takes a while to find all the right ingredients, but we do it. Now for the moment of truth, time to mix it all in. Our first try was a fail so we're really panicking. Oh thank god, It's yellow! We run to find Colleen and save her from literal death. We get to her and Mat gives her the antidote....I don't think she liked the taste.
After that chaotic mess, we meet up with the other group at Fat Man Slims. After grouping back up, we're met with a strange man, "Well, well, look at this lot. - Oh, hey. Each of yous take a card" Why did that back door just open? The stranger seems to answer my question without me even saying it, "That's Rodrigo and his friend. He's my manservant." The so called Rodrigo brings at this...thing covered with a blanket.
We're all curious and nervous when he removes the blanket...huh, it is a snake table top game? "It's time to play the serpent's game, where the ante is your life. Inside this tower there's a golden brick and it's up to you to find it, and place it on the pedestal right there. You topple over the tower, you go onto the final death challenge. No vote. Flip your cards over. Now that's the order that you go in." Basically the object of the serpent's game was to find the golden brick that was hidden in this wooden tower. If you knock over this tower, your name goes directly in to the death challenge...no pressure. Everyone figures out the order and the anxiety begins- I mean, and the game begins.
Nikita yells at everyone to stop moving, she moves the wooden brick and now It's my turn... Fuck. I got this, I got this. Ok I'm alive. Roe's turn and she is panicking, which is making me panic, but she still manages to stay alive, thank god. Everyone else goes and it's my turn again, my anxiety is so bad that I'm shaking and if I shake to much the tower will fall, if the tower falls, I die...this just made me shake even more.
"Just take one out, honey." "Y/n, for the team I think it's best that you choose one right now because we are literally running out of time and we're all about to die." If they don't shut the fuck up, I'm going to throw hands.
Mat's POV:
Y/n is shaking... bad. Shit, they need to hurry up, but every time someone says that it just makes them shake even more. I slowly move towards them and grab there hand in an attempt to help them calm down, "Y/n, just ignore them. Just breath in...and out. You got this, okay?"
Y/n's POV:
He's so close, focus focus focus! Even with the anxiety of dieing and Mathew holding my hand, he still manages to calm me down.
"One of these that actually provides structural integrity could be the one with the gold. Right, so it could be a suicide mission." "You saved my life though, you saved my life, Mat. I can do this for you." "You are a daredevil. You could jump across this table and stop me as I do this." Mat and Roi and talking when Nikita buds in, "How are you literally the daredevil and you're not going to take a chance for all of us?" Damn, calling him out. "I'm just saying he literally saved your life. Why don't you step up, sir." "You want me to do it?" "I want you to do it. If you are the daredevil of this group then prove it." "All right. Check this out then." Oh Shit! Roi makes it collapse, he's being sent into the final challenge. "You happy?" He sent himself into a deadly challenge just to be petty... (Honestly same, Nikita be getting on my nerves)
We all start looking for the gold, I find it and put it on the pedestal next to the chest. Inside is the serpent's head and a note, "To finish cleansing the artifact, two must be selected by vote and search the innards of a serpent to claim its heart." we have to choose another two people to face death, but Roi has already knocked over the tower, so he's automatically in the running.
We split up into small groups and start discussing who we should vote. "I'm thinking Nikita, all she wants to do is start drama." And right on cue, "I'm kind of over this like talking in two corners. Can I say something? I really felt as though the snake queen herself chose the weakest. Can we just start voting and let the cards decide?"
When it's my turn to vote I notice that all of Colleen's cards are gone, Nikita really got in people's head about the poison thing...
"The first person to be into the challenge is the Daredevil, and the person who will be joining him is... The trouble maker" Would it be shitty to say that I'm happy she got picked?
While waiting for those two to finish the challenge, Rosanna starts to tear up out of no where, "Woah hey, are you okay?" "I'm feeling- just really guilty. I just picked someone who I hadn't worked the most with. I didn't know what else to do." ""Like, if they didn't come back, if they died, you'd feel like it was your fault." Ro nods. If Nikita comes out of this alive, my sister is in some serious trouble with Nikita. And I will throw hands.
We see Calliope walk in with Nikita's jacket, and Ro's heart sinks... But she walks in and everyone is relieved. "Which any of you bitches who voted for me, I'm coming for you next."
Everyone realizes that Nikita being alive means that Roi isn't. Colleen speaks up, "Roi didn't die in vain. We found this together and we haven't figured it out yet." It says "Place me on the horizon." "So we need a horizon." "There's a picture of a horizon right over there!"
Colleen puts the thing on the horizon painting and it gives us another note, "Inside lies the harp of Lazarus. However the box can only be opened by finding two brass coins that are hidden throughout Everlock and require an additional task to obtain." "So you guys see these slots where the coins go? That's the same design that was on Joey's bag at the very beginning."
The night is young, but anything can happen.
A/N: Damn, I actually kept my word and made another chapter, even I'm surprised LMAO. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, I did change a lot. In the original video Roi and Y/n (Who is based off of Teala) get poisoned not Colleen, so if that confused you, my bad.
