*Time skip to Tony's cabin*
3rd POV
Zariah laid in one of the spare rooms Tony had in the cabin. She was hooked up to monitors and an IV. He let Loki stay in the room with her as he had a cot for him to sleep on. He didn't have the heart to separate him from her. It's been a few days since the re-snap and she still hasn't woken nor has Loki left her side. He hasn't even met his daughter yet; it broke his heart to see her without Zariah.
The goddess laid as she looked as if she was sleeping. She was beautiful to him; as always. His thoughts were interrupted by Thor knocking on the door, opening it. "Brother?" He said softly as Loki hummed in response not turning around as he stared at Zariah "I have someone I would like you to meet. Zariah would have wanted this. Please" Loki knew he had to meet his daughter, but he wanted Zariah awake for it; he turned slightly nodding at Thor as Loki quickly wiped his face of tears.
Thor stepped in as Loki could hear little pitter patter on the floor; behind Thor revealed Calista with her hands clasped in front of her. She looked at her father with same green eyes he has as he just stared at her. His breath hitched as he stood up from his chair walking close to her, taking a knee "Hello beautiful... Do you... do you know who I am?" he asked, afraid of the answer that may come.
The little girl beamed as she raised a hand placing it on his face; imagines of her mother talking about him flashed through his head, which caused him to tear up a bit "You're daddy... I've been waiting for you..." she said softly. He chuckled a bit as he nodded at her. In a quick moment, Calista jumped into her father's arms as he welcomed her hugging her tightly "Oh my dear, I am so happy to meet you finally. I am so sorry I've been gone" he said softly as he held her close, Calista sniffling a little.
Calista looked up at him then to where her mother was laying "Will mommy wake up soon?" she asked as Loki sighed sadly "I hope so love... I hope so..." he said as he kissed her forehead "Let's get something to eat, yeah?" he said as he stood picking Calista up with him; her nodding at the thought of food. He turned looking at Zariah before he left "We need you here love... I miss you... we miss you..." he said softly as he walked out with Thor closing the door behind the three.
Zariah's POV
*In the void*
I'm floating. Where am I? Am I dead? I looked around and it was dark. There's no one here. In a quick moment, the scenery changed and I found myself in a forest. I was wearing a dark purple strapless dress no armor. I looked around and saw now one. I saw a purple light as I slowly stepped towards it. It was a butterflies. I was surrounded as they started to land on me and fly away.
My thoughts ran wild to Loki and Calista. The others. Did my wish happened for Natasha to come back? Why can't I be there with them? A light appeared behind me; almost blinding, as a figured appeared. The one face I missed the most; my father. "Father..." I couldn't believe it. He was here. I quickly made my way to him engulfing him in a hug which he returned "Oh my little Zari.." he chuckled.
3rd POV
Zariah pulled back away from her father looking at him "How are you here? Am I dreaming?" he couldn't help but smile at her "You did what you were suppose to do. Yes you are dreaming. The question is... do you want to wake up?" he asked her as she looked around, she recognized the forest... it was Alfheim, the castle was in view. Her heart ached at the sight as she turned back to her father "I have to go back Father... I have Calista and I have Loki again" She said with determination as Freyr smiled at her. "Your mother would be proud of you" He said softly.
Zariah smiled at him and nodded "I'm ready to go back... I want to see my family" Freyr nodded back at her "I'll always be with you Zari... for as long as the sun rises and sets" He gave her one last hug before placing a hand on her forehead; his hand emitting a bright light, it was warm and she took in the warm as she closed her eyes once again as she hears Loki's voice "Come back to me love..."
3rd POV
*Sitting by Zariah*
"I miss you my moon and stars.." he spoke softly to her ear as he lightly brushed her hair. Calista didn't want to leave his side; she was asleep on the cot across the room. She is like him in every way but has the stubbornness of Zariah. He prayed that she would wake up, he needed her "I love you so much Zari... I don't think I can do this without you... please wake up.." he spoke softly as tears formed in his eyes "I never believed in soulmates until I met you. When I first met you, you confused me yet intrigued me. I wanted to always be around you, to know you. Over time of knowing you, I fell in love with you; deeply with every fiber of my being. I was a fool to disappear on you the first time. I wanted to protect you but seeing how it was your destiny to snap; it was stupid of me to try. I will never leave you again, I promise. I want to have this life, this family with you... just... please come back to me love..." he cried softly as he held her hand in his; holding it tightly.
After a few moments; what he waited for, hope; he could feel her fingers twitching slightly which caused him to sit up and look at her, waiting for her to open her eyes. He could see her eyes move under her eyelids as he saw them slowly open, her eyes a bright beautiful green; the same eyes he missed so much "Zari..." he gently placed a hand on her cheek as he watched her blink a few times before speaking "Lo...ki..." she spoke in a hoarse whisper from a dry mouth. He quickly moved to the side table grabbing a cup of water bringing it to her mouth as he gently lifted her head up; so, she was able to drink which she accepted.
He laid her back down gently as his hand was placed back on her cheek; his thumb stroked it gently as he stared at her "You came back to me..." he said softly tearing up a bit as he leaned in kissing her forehead; crying slightly. Zariah raised her hand touching his face lightly; her eyes attempting to adjust to the new light "Where am I?... Where..." She sits up fast looking around almost freaked out "Where's Thanos?!"
Loki shook his head, taking a seat on the bed putting his hands on her shoulders to calm her "He's gone... You did it." He smiled at her as she looked back at him "I... I did it..." she quickly engulfs him in a tight hug which he was happy to have; he felt her freeze as her eyes settled on Calista "She's beautiful isn't she..." she whispered softly as Loki nodded "She is like me but she definitely has your spirit love" He pulled back placing both his hands on her face "My moon and stars, you are such a gift. You did the unthinkable. You brought back Natasha, how?" Zariah looked down and smiled a bit "I was willing to give up my soul for hers. I was able to control the stones but not without sacrifice. Natasha didn't deserve to die. My... father told me he was proud of me and gave me the choice to stay asleep or come back" she took a deep breath as Loki caressed her cheek with his hand "I heard your voice... Calling for me..."
Before Loki could speak, Calista stirred behind them as a small voice could be heard in the room "Mommy...." They turned and saw she was awake as she quickly made her way to her, wrapping her little arms around her mother's waist "You're awake!" she said excitedly. Zariah was on the verge of tears hugging her young child as Loki moved to stand up "I am going to tell the others you are up. Especially Thor..." She looked at Loki and nodded as he placed a hand on her cheek again "I love you Zari..." he leaned and kissed her forehead and in a swift motion he left the room.
"Mommy, did you sleep good?" Calista asked as she was cuddled up to her mother. Zariah couldn't help but smile "I did my love... I did" it felt so good to have Calista in her arms but Zariah was exhausted still, she started to doze off as Loki entered the room which woke her back up "Hello darling.." He walked in with Thor behind him at first then followed by; Tony, Rhodey, Clint, Scott, Sam, Wanda, and Steve. A collective of happy smiles and words filled the room as Zariah looked at them all smiling, then a moment of silence as her eyes went to the door and stood the one person she'd hope to see; Natasha with tears in her eyes.
Zariah moved to get up with the help of Loki as she made her way to her; they stared at each other for a moment before engulfing each other in a tight embrace; both women crying slightly. Nat broke the silence "You saved my life..." Zariah teared up more, she loved Natasha like a sister "I couldn't leave you behind.." the goddess responded as she pulled back both women with tears in their eyes "You found a family and I intend for you to stay with us..." she smiled as they both wiped each other's tears away. Wanda then walked towards the girl, embracing both as the three hugged each other.
Loki did a slight cough as the three broke up their hug "I think there's something that's overdue now..." Zariah looked at him in confusion as she watched him kneel; taking the hand that held the emerald ring he gave her a long time ago "I know I told you this was a promise but my intention a long time ago was to marry you when the time was right, and I don't think I could go another day without making our family official. If you'll still have me, I would like to marry you Zariah. I know I didn't make it easy and I know our road hasn't been easy but I want to make new memories with you. Forget the terrible old memories." he said looking up at her as her eyes filled with tears. Everyone watching with smiles and tears of their own.
Zariah stared into Loki's eyes as she smiled and placed a hand on his cheek; and in that connection memories from the past flowed through his head. From first meeting him, to their walk in the gardens in Asgard, to their first dance, their first kiss, her breaking down crying when Loki died the first time, her time on Sakaar, singing on stage in Sakaar, seeing each other again on Sakaar; so many memories passed through his mind until she showed her favorite; her time being pregnant with Calista. Loki could see her singing to her stomach every day, talking to her everyday about him, her giving birth, watching Calista grow up and in the end seeing Loki again on the battlefield; she pulled her hand away before she spoke "Not all the memories were terrible, trials and tribulations I wouldn't change; I love you... and I will marry you Loki Odinson..."
Loki beamed happily as he stood up pulling her into a embrace kissing her; which Calista was too happy to not join in on the hug as she hugged Loki's leg. In a swift motion, he picked up his little goddess hugging both girls. Everyone watched happily at the little family as Thor ran over and tackled them into a hug as well.
This is what mattered in the end... Family...
