VATOS

•••
TAYLOR

     THE SENT OF BLOOD FILLED
Taylor's nose, and it was quickly making the young teen nauseous.

But yet, Taylor couldn't look away from the pool of blood where Merle's cut—off hand lay next to a bloodied hacksaw and pair of handcuffs.

"Daryl, what are we—"She looked behind her to face him, but instead, she saw the hotheaded Dixon quickly aim his crossbow at T-Dog, Rick whipping out his revolver as he cocked it and aimed it at Daryl's head.

"Daryl, don't!" She shouted, rushing up behind him as she gripped his dirt—covered sleeveless shirt.

"I won't hesitate. I don't care if every walker in the city hears it." Rick said in a low, threatening tone to the redneck.

"D—Daryl, please don't shoot him..." Tears were streaming down the young teens face at this point as she clung to him like her life depended on it.

Daryl slowly and hesitantly lowered his crossbow, glaring at Rick, T-Dog, and Glenn.

"Hell with all y'all!" He griped, storming back over to the graphic scene Merle had left behind with Taylor behind him.

He heard the innocent girl sniffle, looking down at her as the young redneck saw tears running down her face as her eyes were fixated on the concrete ground of the rooftop.

Sighing, he knelt down to her level as he rested his hands on her shoulders.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay, alri'? Merle's gotta be 'roun' here somewhere. We're gonna fin' him." He reassured her, his thumbs wiping away the tears that had fallen down her cheeks.

"O—Okay..." She nodded, looking down at the ground before back up at him with a smile smile, trying her best to put a stop to her tears.

"Wait..." She pulled out of his grip, looking down at Merle's cut off hand as she knelt down.

"What is it?" He mumbled, squatting down beside her.

"The bracelet I gave Merle a few weeks back; it was on his right hand. The hand he cut off was his right; you can tell by the thumb. He took the bracelet with him. Which means..." She got up, following the small splatters of blood that led to another stairwell on the other side of the rooftop, He's stable and moving on." She opened the door before rushing down the stairs, the door closing behind her.

"Taylor, wait!" She heard Daryl call after her, but she didn't stop.

Rushing down the stairs, she walked into a hallway, seeing a straggling walker.

She stabbed it in the head before continuing foward, making her way further into the building until she came up to a broken window.

"Merle..." She mumbled, looking over the broken window, seeing down below a bloodied rag and broken shards of glass.

"Taylor, this is the fuckin' second time you've run—" Daryl barked, but she interrupted him.

"Merle left the building here. Which means he's just roaming the streets. We need to go after him." She explained.

"Well then let's go." He gripped the windowsill, ready to slip out, but Rick grabbed his arm.

"Get yer hands off o' me! Ya' can't stop me!" Daryl griped, yanking himself out of Rick's hold.

"He's family, I get that. I went through hell to find mine. I know exactly how you feel. He can't get far with that injury. We could help you check a few blocks around but only if we keep a level head." Rick explained.

"...I could do that..." Daryl mumbled under his breath after a few moments of silence.

"Only if we get those guns first. I'm not strolling the streets of Atlanta with just my good intentions, okay?" T-Dog chimed in.

"Then let's get the bag of guns you keep talking about." Taylor looked over at Rick.

"Taylor's right. C'mon, I have an idea." Glenn said, gesturing for the others to follow him to a conference room that was down the hall.

"Taylor, can you grab an expo from that whiteboard?" Glenn asked, picking up some loose stationary items from around the room.

"Yeah, sure." She nodded, walking over to the whiteboard at the fromt of the room where she grabbed a black expo marker and handed it to Glenn.

He sat down on the floor with her in front of him and began drawing on the tile floor.

"So, I'm with Daryl in this alleyway because our crossbows are quieter than Rick's gun?" Taylor asked, pointing to the area Glenn mapped out where her and Daryl would be.

Glenn nodded, "And worse case scenario, you get blocked off by walkers coming back to us, you'll run to Rick and T-Dog two blocks down, and of course, that'll be if worse comes to worse." She explained.

"Yep, exactly like that." He replied.

"Hey kid, what'd ye do before all this?" Daryl spoke up as he looked over at Glenn.

Delivering pizza's. Why?" Glenn asked, cocking an eyebrow.

"What about you?" T-Dog turned to Taylor after him, Rick, and Daryl sat in akward silence after Glenn's response.

"Oh um... I was a seventh grade honors student at King County Junior High. My um...my mom always pushed me to join the accelerated program's becuase they'd look good on mu transcript for highsShe mumbled, playing with a loose strand of her hair.

"Honor's? So what, honor's society? That programs for the best of the best." Glenn grinned.

"Hey, let's stop chit chattin' 'bout how big y'all's dumbass brains are an' get goin'." Daryl grumbled.

"Right. Sorry." She replied sheepishly, giggling along with Glenn before the five headed out.

———

"You got some balls for a Chinaman." Daryl commented as Glenn threw his loose, unbuttoned flannel behind a dumpster.

"I'm Korean." Glenn groaned, readjusting his hat.

"Whatever." Daryl muttered, brushing off the Asian's correction.

Taylor scoffed, "How did you not know that?".

"Don' you start." Daryl grumbled.

"Anyways, seriously Glenn, you got this." She smiled, giving him a thumbs up, "If any shit happens, we've got your back. Promise.".

Glenn nodded towards her, smiling slightly, "Thanks." He then rushed out the gate to the alleyway as Daryl and Taylor stood in front of the dumpster.

She sighed, readjusting her grip on her crossbow, "So..." Daryl's hand clamped down over her mouth as the two ducked down in front of the dumpster.

His hand came off of her mouth and she was about to speak up, but he placed a finger over his lips.

"Someone's comin'." He mouthed, gesturing down the alleyway.

She nodded, getting her crossbow at the ready.

At the last second, her and Daryl spun around the dumpster, their crossbows aimed at a teenage kid, and going by appearance, a few years older than Taylor.

"Woah, don't shoot me! What do you want!?" The kid yelled, freezing in place.

"I'm lookin' for my brother. He's hurt real bad. You seen him?" Daryl asked.

"Ayudame!" The kid began to shout for someone.

"Hey, shut up. Yer gonna bring the geeks down on us". Daryl barked, nearing closer to the kid with his crossbow aimed.

"Are you sure you haven't seen a lone man? We really need to find him." Taylor spoke up.

"No, I haven't seen anybody like that!" The kid began to shout once more.

"Hey, shut up!" Daryl said threateningly, pushing the kid to the ground as he clamped his hand down over his mouth.

Taylor turned around, facing the gate as she aimed her crossbow, "Shit! Daryl, he's attracting walkers.".

She turned back around, seeing a guy hit Daryl over the head with a pipe, beginning to kick him in the stomach while the other guy who was with him hit her over the head with his bat, pinning her to the ground with it.

"Get the fuck off of me!" She yelled, trying to reach for one of her arrows in her crossbow holder.

"Shut it, bitch!" The guy responded, pressing his bat down harder on her.

"Hey, it's the guns!" The other guy shouted, and Taylor looked ahead at the gate, seeing Glenn standing there with the bag of guns, stunned in place at the situation before him.

The guy hit her over the head one last time with his bat before him and the other guy began chasing Glenn.

She scrambled to her feet, grabbing her crossbow before she rushed after the two men and Glenn.

"Let go of me!" Glenn shouted, a car rolling up to the front of the alleyway to which the two men shoved Glenn in, hopping in after him.

"Hey, get back here!" Daryl yelled, meeting Taylor at the gate, and they were forced to close it as the car sped off, walkers nearing closer and closer.

"What the hell happened!?" She heard T-Dog ask, and the young teen turned around to see him and Rick.

"This asshole and his friends took Glenn; I'm gonna rip out yer balls an' shove 'em down yer throat!" Daryl yelled threateningly at the kid, Rick and T-Dog having to hold him back from pouncing on the young boy.

She turned around and looked back at the gate, seeing a crowd of walkers banging and clawing at the wooven metal, "Guys, we need to go! That gate won't hold forever.".

The three men looked back at the gate before agreeing they needed to go, and Taylor rushed alongside Daryl back down the alleyway with T-Dog, Rick, and the teen behind them.

•••

"WANNA SEE WHAT HAPPENED
te the las' guy pissed me off?"  Daryl grumbled, throwing the cut—off hand of Merle at the kid teen boy.

"Start wit' the feet this time." He griped, pinning the kid to the wall, but Rick pushed him back.

She scoffed, squatting down to the kids height as she unsheathed her knife and pressed it against his cheek, "Listen here you little shit, tell us where the fuck you took our fucking friend. You do that, I won't slice the shit out of your dumbass face.".

Based off the silence of Rick, Daryl, and
T-Dog, it just confirmed her thoughts that this was very out of character for the young teen.

A thirteen year old girl threatening some asshole kid with a knife?

Two months ago she would've been seen as a nut job.

"It's like I told your hillbilly asshole you cereal box bitch: I'm not telling you shit." The kid scoffed.

"Oh you fucking asshole." She sneered, pressing her knife down harder against the skin of his cheek.

Rick ushered her back, stepping in between the two, "Hey hey hey, let's try not to resort to violence.".

She sighed, sheathing her hunting knife, "Right...sorry...".

"Yeah, listen to the cop you cereal box bitch." The teen remarked.

A raging fire ignited inside her as he called her the nickname once more and she gave him the double middle finger, "FUCK YOU CHICKENSHIT! I'M GONNA CUT OFF YOUR TINY ASS DICK AND SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR THROAT!".

T-Dog and Daryl had to hold the young teen back from quite literally pummeling the other as Rick sighed, kneelimg down to the young boy, "The two men you were with took our friend. All we want to do, is talk them, see if we can work something out.".

The kid silently looked between Rick, Taylor, T-Dog, and Daryl before he nodded.

•••

"YOU SURE YOU'RE UP FOR THIS?"
Rick asked,  looking over at T-Dog.

"Yeah." He replied, holding his sniper rifle he took from the bag of guns Rick collected from his station.

"Okay." Rick nodded before T-Dog grabbed the bag of guns, setting it down in front of Taylor before he pulled out a shotgun and handed it to her.

"I really hope we don't have to use these..." She sighed, grabbing a fex extra shotgun shells before shoving them in the pockets of her jeans before strapping her crossbow to her back.

"You and me both." T-Dog replied, looking over his rifle.

"Do you um...know how to work one of these? I've just a handgun before...but not a shotgun..." She asked the older man, looking over the weapon with confused and hesitant eyes.

"It's a pump action. You just pull the
trigger—" She smiled, interrupting him, "And pull the lever thing around the barrel to load more shells in?".

He grinned, "Exactly.".

"Dumb bitch doesn't even know how to work it." The kid muttered.

Scoffing, Daryl spoke up, "Oh yeah, by the way, one wrong move, ye get an arrow in the ass. Jus' so ya' know.".

"G's gonna take that arrow out of my ass and shove it up yours. Just so you know." The kid clapped back.

"Well then I'd take my own arrow and shove it down you and this 'G's' fucking throats till you both choke and die." Taylor glared.

"G?" Rick asked, looking back at the kid.

"Guillermo. He's the man here." The kid replied.

"Okay then." Rick sighed, cocking his gun, "Let's go see Guillermo.".

The four slipped through an opening in a brick wall, walking into what looked like a courtyard while T-Dog rushed up to set up his sniper spot on the rooftop of a nearby building.

Rick and Taylor kept their weapons aimed at the ready while Daryl had his crossbow aimed at the kid as they made their way to a large wooden door of the supposed building they were keeping Glenn.

The door opened, and a man, presumably Guillermo, stepped out, looking over the kid.

"You okay, little man?" He asked him.

"They're gonna cut off my feet, carnal." The kid replied, gesturing back to Rick, Daryl, and Taylor.

"Cops do that?" Guillermo asked, looking over at Rick.

"Not him. This redneck puto here and his cereal box bitch daughter." The kid looked back and Daryl and Taylor, "He cut off some dude's hand, man. He showed it to me.".

"Shut up." Daryl griped threateningly.

"Hey, that's that vato right there, homes. He shot me in the ass with an arrow. What's up, homes, huh?" One of the men who attacked them earlier in the alleyway said as he walked out, aiming his revolver at Daryl.

"Chill, ese, chill. Chill." Guillermo said calmly, pushing the man's arm down that was holding the revolver.

"Yeah, I fucking wonder why he shot you in the ass." Taylor muttered, readjusting her grip on her shotgun.

"This true? Him and the girl want Miguelito's feet? That's pretty sick man." Guillermo said, turning to Rick.

"We were hoping more for a calm discussion." Rick replied.

"That hillbilly and the little bitch jumps Felipe's little cousin, beats on him, threatens to cut off his feet, Felipe gets an arrow in the ass, and you want a calm discussion? You fascinate me." Guillermo remarked, Taylor and Daryl staying silent.

"This fucking asshole...he's lucky we're not unloading on them right here and now..." She thought, readjusting her clammy hands over the shotgun.

"Heat of the moment. Mistakes were made; on both sides." Rick replied to Guillermo's remark.

"Who's that dude and girl to you anyway? You don't look related." Guillermo pointed out.

"He's one of our group, more or less." Rick said before looking at Taylor and back to Guillermo, "And were helpin' her find her family. I'm sure you have a few like Daryl here.".

"You got my brother in there?" Daryl spoke up, stepping foward a bit.

"Sorry, we're fresh out of white boys. But I've got Asian. You interested?" Guillermo smirked.

"I have one of yours, you have one of mine. Sounds like an even trade." Rick replied.

"Don't sound even to me." Guillermo argued.

"G. Come on, man." Miguelito pleaded.

"My people got attacked. Where's the compensation for their pain and suffering? More to the point, where's my bag of guns?" Guillermo asked.

       "Guns?" Rick replied.

"The bag Miguel saw in the street. The bag Felipe and Jorge were going back to get. That bag of guns." Guillermo explained.

         "You're mistaken." Rick argued.

"I don't think so." Guillermo argued back.

"About it being yours. It's my bag of guns." Rick stated.

"The bag was in the street. Anybody could come around and say it was theirs. I'm supposed to take your word?" Guillermo pointed out, "What's to stop my people from unloading on you right here and now and I take what's mine?".

"You could do that. Or not." Rick replied, looking up at T-Dog on the roof of the building across the way.

He was their with his rifle aligned right at Guillermo's head.

"Might wanna rethink your decision, asshole. It's our guns." Taylor smirked cockily.

         Scoffing, Guillermo called out, "Oye!".

Daryl, Rick, and Taylor looked up at the roof of the building, seeing two of Guillermo's men pushing someone out with a bag over their head.

One of the men pulled it off and revealed Glenn, duct tape covering his mouth as he looked down at the ground panickingly.

"Glenn!" Taylor called, looking back at Guillermo, "You better fucking let him go, dickhead.".

"It's up to your friend, missy, "Guillermo smirked before turning back to Rick, "I see two options. You come back with Miguel and my bag of guns, everybody walks. Or you come back locked and loaded, we'll see which side spills more blood.

Then, Guillermo and his men went back inside the building along with Glenn, the doors closing and leaving Rick, Daryl, T-Dog, and Taylor to decide on their next move.

•••

THE FOUR WERE BACK AT THE
building they were originally at to find Merle.

Rick laid the bag of guns on a table in the room they were in as he began rummaging through it.

"Them guns are worth more than gold. Gold won't protect yer family or put food on the table." Daryl pointed out, but Rick didn't reply as he checked the clip to a handgun.

Daryl continued, "You willing to give that up for that kid?".

"Glenn's worth more than guns." Taylor spoke up, "He's our friend. I'd take him over guns any day.".

"Glenn won't protect ya'; guns will. Simple as that." Daryl grumbled, glaring over at her.

She sighed at his remark, folding her as she ducked her head down at the ground.

She knew what Daryl meant, that it was important she would protect herself, but she wouldn't give up Glenn to do that.

"If I knew we'd get Glenn back, I might agree. But you think that vato across the way is just gonna hand him over?" T-Dog asked.

"You calling G a liar?" Miguelito glared up at T-Dog.

"Are ye apart o' this!?" Daryl yelled, backhanding Miguelito in the head, "Ya' wanna hold onto yer teeth!?".

"Think nows the part you shut up." Taylor smirked over at him.

"Oh shut up cereal box bitch." Miguelito scoffed.

"Question is, do you trust that man's word?" T-Dog looked back at Rick.

"No, question is what are you willing to bet on it." Daryl argued, "Could be more than them guns. Could be yer life. I sure as hell ain't bettin' hers. Glenn worth that to you?" Daryl said, gesturing to Taylor.

She couldn't help but smile at this, hearing him say that.

Maybe...no...he was just doing at as a favor to her father, nothing more than that.

"What life I have I owe him. I was nobody to Glenn, just some idiot stuck in a tank. He could have walked away, but he didn't. Neither will I." Rick replied.

"So you're gonma hand the guns over?" Daryl asked.

"I didn't say that." Rick responded, "There's nothing keeping you two here. You should get out, get Taylor back to camp.".

"And tell your family what?" T-Dog asked.

Taylor got up from her spot on the floor and walked over to the duffle bag of guns, grabbing a handgun as she slipped it into the waistband of her jeans before grabbing a rifle, "I'm not leaving without Glenn or you. You guys are my friends; I fight for my friends.".

Rick and Taylor turned back to Daryl, and the young teen smiled up encouragingly at the redneck.

Daryl nodded, grabbing a shotgun from off the table.

She grinned, grabbing a few extra rifle rounds from the bag.

"Come on, this is nuts." Miguelito argued, getting up, but Daryl made him sit back down.

"Just do like G says." Miguelito pleaded, but Rick, Daryl, T-Dog didn't listen ad they continued to load up the guns.

———

THEY HEADED BACK TO
Guillermo's base, fully locked and loaded, Daryl pressing a rifle into Miguelito's back who was tied up.

The doors opened and they stepped inside, facing Guillermo.

"I see my guns," he began, "But they're not all in the bag.".

"That's because there not yours. I thought I mentioned that." Rick replied.

"Let's just shoot these fools right now, ese." Felipe said to Guillermo.

"I don't think you fully appreciate the gravity of this situation." Guillermo said.

"No, I'm pretty clear." Rick responded, cutting Miguelito's restraints before he pushed him to Guillermo, "You have your man. I want mine.".

"I'm gonna chop up your boy. I'm gonna feed him to my dogs. They're the evilest, nastiest, man—eating bitches you ever saw. I picked them up from satan at a yard sale.
I told you how it has to be. Are you woefully deaf?" Guillermo threatened.

"No, my hearings fine. You said come locked and loaded." Rick, Taylor, Daryl, and T-Dog cocked their guns, "Okay then, were here.".

'Oh shit. Is this really happening!?' Taylor's heart was racing as she aimed her rifle at one of Guillermo's men.

"Felipe! Felipe!" An elderly woman cried out, rushing through the crowd and up to Felipe.

"Abuela, go back with the others; now." Felipe replied.

"Get that ol' lady outta the line o' fire!" Daryl griped.

"Abuela, listen to your mijo, okay? This is not the place for you right now." Guillermo said to her.

"Mr. Gilbert is having trouble breathing. He needs his asthma stuff. Carlito didn't find it. He needs his medicine." The woman pleaded to Felipe.

"Felipe, go take care of it, okay? And take your grandmother with you." Guillermo griped.

"Who are those men and girl?" The woman asked, "Don't you take him.".

"Ma'am?" Rick asked, cocking a brow as she walked up to him.

"Felipe's a good boy. He have his trouble but he pull himself together. We need him here." The woman explained.

"Ma'am, I'm not here to arrest your grandson." Rick replied.

"Then what do you want him for?" The woman asked.

"He's...helping us find a missing person. A fella named Glenn." Rick responded.

"The Asian boy? He's with Mr. Gilbert." The woman responded, turning to Taylor and Daryl.

"Aren't you Taylor and Daryl? She asked, walking up to Taylor as she lowered her rifle, hoisting the strap over shoulder.

"...Um...yes ma'am. How do you know us?" Taylor asked.

"Your grandmother has told me all about you. Your her eldest granddaughter," The woman then looked up at Daryl, "And your Jean's daughters husbands friend.".

"Wait...my grandmother's here?" Taylor asked, furrowing her eyebrows as she looked over at Daryl.

"Si, she is. I show you all to her and Glenn. Come, come." The woman said, grabbing Rick's hand as she led them through the crowd.

Sighing, Guillermo spoke up, "Let 'em pass.".

"...Daryl...if...if my Grandma made it, that would have to mean that mom, dad, and Chloe are still out there, right?" She smiled brightly.

"Yeah...they're out there. Don' know where...but we'll fin' 'em." He nodded.

She grinned, "Yeah...we will.".

They passed by lots of elderly being attended to before they came up to what looked like a theater hall, Glenn standing by a group of the elderly.

"What the hell is this?" Rick asked him.

"An asthma attack." Glenn replied, "Couldn't get his breath all of a sudden.".

"I thought you were being eaten by dogs, man." T-Dog griped.

Glenn looked down to a small dog bed with a few chiwawa's yipping up at the group.

"Doggies!" Taylor squealed, petting the chiwawa's before picking them up, to which they immediately capmed down as she turned back to Daryl, "Daryl, look at the doggies! Aren't they adorable!?".

He looked off to the side as he nodded, "Uh...yeah...".

"Taylor, Daryl! Over here!" The two heard someone call, turning to see Taylor's grandmother at one of the tables, sitting in her wheelchair by a few other elderly, playing a game of what looked like 'Go Fish'.

"Grandma!" Taylor exclaimed, setting down the chiwawa's on their bed before rushing up to her and hugging her.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so glad your alright. You're as beautiful as ever." Her Grandma awed, running a hand through Taylor's hair.

"Come talk to me when I find some shampoo and conditioner." Taylor giggled.

"Oh Daryl, you've aged so well. How long has it been? Taylor being born?" Taylor's grandmother asked as he walked up.

        "Uh...yeah..." Daryl nodded awkwardly.

"Wait, you were there when I was born?" Taylor asked, turning to him.

"Yeah; me an' Merle was. Still remember when the nurse brought ye down the hall. Ye was fuckin' screamin' bloody murder. Merle had the balls te hold ye an' ye shut up right away an' asleep." Daryl smirked.

"Grandma, why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be with mom, dad, and Chloe?" Taylor asked.

"I was at a scanning for my rib. Guillermo was there and he saved me. You know, you, Daryl, and your friends are welcome to stay. We have plenty of supplies and could use the extra muscle." Taylor's grandmother offered.

"...I'm sorry, grandma, but me and Daryl still have to find mom, dad, and Chloe. I promise though, I'll be back one day." Taylor replied with a sad smile.

"...Very well then. But Daryl, promise me you'll protect Taylor with your life." Taylor's grandmother said, looking up at the youngest Dixon.

"'Course I will. I ain't gona let anythin' happen to her." He replied.

"Oh, and Taylor. One more thing. Tell your Asian friend; Glenn, to look out for you too. He cares a lot for you. He's told me all about your camp and how big of a help you are, how much of a sweetheart you are. It seems to me that even as the dead walk, you haven't changed a bit." Her grandmother said.

Smiling, Taylor shrugged, "I uh...I don't feel it; like I'm the same. I'm stronger, Grandma. And it's for the betrer; I have to be strong. But um...I promise I'll tell Glenn, and I promise I'll be back.".

Taylor and Daryl met back up with T-Dog, Rick, and Glenn at the front before they began heading back to the van.

"Admit it. You only came back to Atlanta for the hat." Glenn smirked over to Rick.

Chuckling, he replied, "Don't tell anybody.".

"Yer given away half our guns an' ammo." Daryl pointed out.

"Not nearly half." Rick corrected the redneck.

"For what? Bunch o' old farts who are gonna die off momentarily anyhow? Seriously, how long ye think they got?" Daryl griped.

"Hey," Taylor spoke up, "My grandma's back there.".

         Scoffing, Daryl muttered, "Whatever.".

"How long do any of us." Rick replied to Daryl's previous statement.

The five stopped dead in their tracks, seeing that the company van parked on the train tracks leading into Atlanta was gone.

       "Oh my god." Glenn groaned.

"Where the hell's our van?" Daryl griped.

"We left it right there. Who would take it?" Glenn asked.

         "Merle." Rick replied.

        "Merle?" Taylor asked.

"He's gonna be takin' some vengeance back te camp." Daryl agreed.

"No, I'm not letting him do anything. C'mon, let's go!" Taylor said, beginning to run down the tracks, the others hot on her trail.

•••

TAYLOR'S BODY SCREAMED AND ached for her to stop, but she couldn't.

She couldn't when the state of the camp was put in jeopardy, and it was all thanks to whatever the fuck happened with Merle back in Atlanta.

She had so many people she cared about back at camp that were now in danger.

Andrea...Amy...Dale...Carl...Sophia... Carol...Jacqui...Lori...

These people were the only thing pushing her foward to keep running and not stop, despite the burning pain flaming in her legs, almost as if she was standing in a fire.

Suddenly, in the darkness of the night, a scream rang out, alerting Taylor, Rick, Daryl, Glenn, and T-Dog.

"Amy!" The young teen panicked, pushing foward as hard as she could go as she got out her handgun.

The five rushed out of the forest and into the camp, seeing the members getting attacked by a large group of walkers.

Lori, Carl, Carol, Sophia, Shane, Morales, and his wife and two kids were safe in front of Dale's RV as Shane and Morales defended off the walkers, Dale on top of the RV as he shot down walkers with his rifle.

Her eyes fell on Amy, a walker sinking their teeth into Amy's neck before Jim drove his shovel into the walkers head, Amy falling to the ground as Andrea rushed up to her.

"Shit! Amy, no!" Taylor cried, shooting down walkers with her handgun, members of the camp getting eaten as she rushed up to Amy and Andrea.

"Please tell me she's alright. A—Amy has to be..." Taylor cried, tears running down her blood—stained face.

Andrea looked up at her, teary eyed before her eyes widened, "Taylor behind you!".

Taylor spun around, a walker stumbling up to her as it tackled her to the ground, trying to sink it's teeth her neck.

"Get off of me you fucker!" She screamed, trying to reach for her fallen handgun.

An arrow shot through the walkers head, killing it before the corpse was shoved off of her, and her savior was none other than Daryl.

"D—Daryl. The walker...i—it bit Amy...
a—and then one jumped me...I—I'm so sorry..." She cried, tears streaming down her face.

He reluctantly hugged her as the others took out the rest of the walkers.

She cried into Daryl's shirt, clinging onto his it for dear life as she balled her eyes out, everyone looking at the grim scene.

The camp had lost a lot of people that night...and it was a night that Taylor would never forget...
