You'd never been more apprehensive to drive somewhere in your entire life.

Your stomach was in knots by the time Billy or Stu, who ever of the two it was, had given you the directions to Roman Bridger's house.

As you drove, you blinked as your eyes grew moist, but you weren't just hurt. They were watering from the untamable anger that was growing inside the pit of your belly.

You maintained your gaze on the road while keeping the negative feelings at bay, but it was becoming increasingly difficult.

Everything that had happened over the years had been out of your control. You just went along with it, carrying the luggage on your back that grew heavier and heavier with each loss you suffered.

Over the half an hour drive you had to process things, eventually, your car rolled into the enormous driveway that looked a lot less inviting than the first time you arrived here.

You didn't exit the car straight away, taking the time to close your eyes and inhaling a couple of composing breaths that really didn't do much to calm you.

Your emotions were still bouncing all over the place, especially when you glanced over at the pistol laying on the passanger's seat.

If it came down to it, let's be honest, you wouldn't pull the trigger on them.

There was just no way.

From what you could see, all the lights inside Roman's house were turned on.

By now the sun was sinking toward the horizon, casting a faint yellow light as the shadows from the trees slipped up against the grass field surrounding it.

You were scolding yourself for being a hypocrite. All those times where you laughed at those brainless victims in horror films yet here you were, about to step into a house with not one, but two bloodthirsty killers.

What could possibly go wrong?

One thing wasfor sure, what ever would happen tonight, you wouldn't be the same after this.

With that in mind, you opened the car door, shivering at the air that nipped at your skin. Taking the gun in one hand, you shoved it down your boot before slamming the car door shut.

You scaled the area, your eyes resting on the front door that was already half opened.

How inviting.

Your head was already swimming with a million things rushing through your mind as you skimmed your fingerstips over the cold doorhandle before pushing it all the way open to
take your first daring step inside, venturing further and further in.

At first glance, you saw nothing out of the ordinary— no broken glass, no sign of a struggle, nothing.

There wasn't a single noise which only heightened your senses and sent a pang of fear jolting up your spine.

It was like you were under some kind of spell with how familiar this was feeling yet at the same time, it didn't because this time you knew what you were in for.

You were so lost that you didn't notice the front door shutting ever so slowly.

Nothing had happened yet and your heart was already pounding so loud you could barely hear your own thoughts.

This house could very well be a maze with the amount of hallways and rooms it had, it was honestly disorienting.

*Thud*

A noise coming from upstairs made you nearly pass out as your head snapped up to the ceiling. You placed your hand over your chest, but it did little to calm yourself as it became more difficult to breathe.

"Gale?" Just as you suspected, she was nowhere to be found.

Ever had that feeling when you walk around a house alone when you feel like something is walking behind you?

The hairs on the back of your neck perked up and you couldn't help the feeling of being watched because chances are, you probably were.

You shifted back and forth on your feet for a few moments, gathering your courage to approach the base of the stairs. "Roman...?"

After glaring daggers at the staircase as if it had offended you, you slowly began to climb it, your heart beating faster and faster as you walked up, eventually reaching the landing.

The lights illuminating the long hallway allowed you to see that one of the doors was opened a little bit just like the front door had been.

Curiousity got the better of you and you neared it before pushing it open with your hand.

What you saw made your breath die in your throat at the same time your heart felt like it stopped.

There, an unconscious Gale was covered in crimson liquid and tied up to a chair with a dirty gag in her mouth, her head hung low as dirty strands of her once perfectly styled hair obscured her face.

Against your better judgement you rushed over, checking up on her. To your relief she was still breathing, but it was laboured.

Pulling the gag out of her mouth seemed to stir her awake as her bloodshot eyes fluttered open, widening in surprise when she focused on your concerned face scanning all over her.

She looked terrible with a busted lip, bloody nose and black eye but all in all, she was alive.

"(Y/N)!" She called out as you frantically checked for a way to undo the ropes. "Fuck am I glad to see you! They're here–"

"I know," you interrupted without meeting her eyes and sounding a lot more calm than you actually felt. "Where's Roman?"

"I don't know, those lunatics dragged him off to somewhere!" Gale attempted struggling against her restraints until her eyes zeroed in on something behind you. "(Y/N)!!! LOOK OUT!"

You ducked just in a nick of time to avoid being hit by a chair that was thrown your way with so much force behind it that it broke upon impact against the wall, causing several glass decorations to fall and shatter on the floor along with it.

You yelped in shock at the explosive movement and felt your stomach doing gymnastics in your body over how fast your feet carried you back to the doorway, but the lack of footsteps made you turn back around.

Ghostface did no effort in chasing you. Instead, he stood right behind a violently shivering Gale, who now had a razor sharp blade pressed against the base of her throat.

The ghastly mask moved as if he was giving you a once-over that made your knees tremble. "You're not going anywhere without your precious friend. That's why you came here."

The way he asked that didn't sound like a question, it sounded like a threat. A warning that had a chill rocking your spine.

You didn't know whether it was your nerves or adrenaline pushing out your next choice of words. "Just stop it. You want me, don't you? Let her go and come and get me!"

A second voice came from right behind your back, speaking so low it sent your stomach plummeting along with your previous confidence. "Gladly."

You didn't even get the time to process what was going on when one arm crawled around your waist, caging your arms as a hand clamped around your mouth to keep your screaming muffled.

Squirming and struggling only drained you of your own strength. You wanted to kick on his foot like you did last time before but it didn't work as he kept evading your feet.

Judging from their height, you were fairly certain it was Stu keeping you in place and forcing you to watch with horror as the other killer slowly slit Gale's throat open before carelessly shoving her cold and paling body to the side, out of his way to you.

For a minute your body stilled, your screaming had stopped and it was as if time froze. No one moved, nothing was said and the truth you didn't want to acknowledge was plainly presented in front of your very eyes.

Your simply stared at the growing puddle of thick and fresh blood seeping in between the cracks of the floor as your arms stopped moving.

The fact that your only friend you had left was now gone wrestled in your mind, relentlessly screaming the truth into your dazed brain.

Everyone was gone, you had no one left.

A loud crack reverbrated in your ears, like a part of your soul had been broken beyond repair. It was replaced with something else, something dangerous and hot.

If they wanted you, they sure as hell were going to have to work for it.
