As persistent as a water drop falling on a rock, with intentions to break it over time, so seemed DongMin as despite the fact that you had reached at Jimin's apartment and a doctor was examining him inside, his mind was stuck asking the same things he was through all the ride there .
"Are you flirting with him? Tell me why he kissed you? Y/N stop ignoring me,I am talking to you!" You could see him fuming at the side of your head and even though so far you had not given much importance to his behavior, it surely had started to piss you off.
"Why did you let him kiss you? Is something going on between you two? You know you can't be in a relationship with him, right?" He continued, this time grabbing your arm and bringing you to face him.
There laid before you a DongMin that seemed somehow angered with you, as if you had done something wrong to him. The thought only that he dared, ticked your nerves immediately, making you retrieve your arm away from his hold abruptly and give him the attention he was asking of you.
" What the heck is it to you if I have something going on with him or anyone? Just shut up already!" You snapped at him and he seemed taken aback from your response as he gasped and took a step back, throwing his eyes around on the living which for the moment only you two were occupying as Jin was with the doctor inside Jimin's room.
"You can not go around kissing men! I know he is attractive but you aren't from the people that would let anyone have your way with you-" His bubbling brought you to extends you wouldn't have liked to go, as you took hold of his collar and glared at him.
"Let me make this clear for you. You are an ex. An EX! And you were the one that cheated on me. I don't care about your emotions to the slightest and if you don't like seeing me with anyone else or whatever. So stop pretending like you are trying to look after me and instead gather your little brain to find a solution for your client that is unwell and needs rest!" You shook him a bit before letting him go and DongMin fell silent, realizing that indeed he had left his wave of jealousy take over him way too much and he understood that it was not his place to become an obstacle for you, as it was his fault that he lost you.
" It was a mistake." He murmured to himself yet you heard him well and just snickered, finding those words meaningless at this point, for when you wanted him to apologize and say exactly that, he was no where to be found.
"DongMin, I will need you to clear out some days from Jimin's schedule. The doctor said that he needs to stay put for some days." Jin entered the room, breaking the negative atmosphere that was created between you two, speaking of news that left you both displeased as you were aware that Jimin won't like this delay and he was originally trying to avoid injuring himself to begin with.
"What? Is his condition that serious?"He questioned as he approached the older man and Jin passed his hand over his forehead visibly stressed then he left an exhale escape from his mouth, portraying the weight of his worry.
"Thankful his ribs aren't broken but he has bruised himself pretty badly. My main reason to hold back his schedule however is not just his physical condition. We both know he most likely would still pull through from that but it's the consecutive attacks towards him that happened just in one day that are worrying me. They aren't playing and we need some time to think and take better measurements for this." Jin shared his thoughts without much hesitation, making his request sound more like an order than an option that DongMin could think on taking.
" Okay, you are right. I will see what I can do... maybe a minor car accident wouldn't be a bad idea" DongMin spoke his thoughts out loud as claiming that the actor had happened to get on a minor car accident would give a good excuse to Jimin to stay put for a bit and would draw the attention of the public towards him and his upcoming work in a more positive light, for as long as he sets the accident in the right point of view.
"That's gonna make us get flooded by reports again, wouldn't it?"Jin's face grimaced at the thought of having to live that again, for every time something was to draw the attention of the reports they would literally camp outside the door of his apartment and even his door, since they were neighbors. It was exhausting to say the least, having to pass by a see of cameras every time you are trying to get out of your own house.
"Maybe we should move Jimin to a hotel before that happens. So he can have his peace."
"Wouldn't that be also risky though? I mean you will have to look after him and as thus you will have to come and go often from that hotel. They will find you out in no time." You argued, finding DongMin 's idea pretty weak on this point.
"Okay, let's get him to a place no one would expect him to be at then. A place no one would go look for him at." Jin's face lit up at the idea and DongMin smiled brightly, feeling reassured that he seemed to have such a place in mind.
"Great! I am off to arrange it then." He exclaimed with enthusiasm then exited the room, intended to do some phonecalls with the CEO of the company first then proceed on expanding the news about Jimin's supposed minor car accident and his required rest from his filming for a week or so.
As soon as DongMin placed his phone on his ear however and closed the apartment door behind him, he halted his steps upon coming face to face with a woman he was familiar with and new as Jin's girlfriend. He bowed to her slightly as they passed by one another at the corridor and she rung the doorbell and waited till Jin opened up for her and let her in.
Once inside the woman greeted you politely and you did the same, not expecting that Jin was gonna push her so quickly to leave towards Jimin's room, telling her that she had to see him as quickly as possible.
Jin's words made you question if she too was a doctor for a moment but why would he need a second doctor when one was already inside.
As you were left alone there however your thoughts started traveling to past events, from that small peck he gave you and which you knew that meant nothing, to his absence of self that he maintained through out the whole ride to his apartment. You just didn't know how to take all this. How to feel or what to think about it but one thing was surely was true and that was that it wasn't easy witnessing someone being in such a state.
It made you feel strange, it made you question your ability to feel and empathize with someone to the point that you doubted your own self. Was it normal to feel as numb and confused as you were? Nonetheless, it was difficult to imagine yourself having any other reaction for you just couldn't fully comprehend and as thus you couldn't feel his pain. You felt sorry for him but that was about it.
And because that seemed to little,you caught yourself slightly growing a sense of guilt for you were aware that he surely needed someone to feel him and understand him but you just weren't that yet.
You messed a bit your hair as you left your body to plop on the couch, feeling defeated by all these thoughts and things that were going on, but as soon as you did so, your phone started buzzing on the pocket of your jacket and you proceeded to receive it.
Your eyes fell on the time being displayed on your screen as soon as you got the device before you and that realization made you lower your head and murmur some curse words, upon realizing that when you get to work tomorrow, you will hear the scolding of your life from your supervisor for cancelling her tonight's shift.
"Oh why can't someone give me a break!"
You murmured to yourself as you proceeded to open the text you had received, finding out that it was from your sister, who surprisingly had asked you if she could come over at your house to meet you, tomorrow morning.
Your eyes grew wide as you stared at the letters on the screen, finding her request too good to be real as she had never spoke of such a desire before. She rarely even called you to meet up but even when she did ,it was always somewhere out on some cafe or restaurant of her choice. The thought that she was willing to enter your personal space, brought you joy and enthusiasm enough to have you reply to her text positively in no time.
"Miss Y/N..." Jin's voice drew your attention from your phone and you stood up as you watched him entering the room.
"Just a bit more and you will be able to take Jimin and get home. I am sorry we are letting you wait like this but I really appreciate your patience." He told you, placing his right hand over your shoulder sympathetically while you just blinked once or twice, taking a bit time to process his words.
" Wait, why would I be taking Jimin? Where am I supposed to drop him to?"
"Your house. Didn't you get it earlier? A place no one would look for him at. That's your apartment. I am counting on you." He replied patting your shoulder once again before he did a thumbs up and left you there, speechless.
