We all stood in front of the fence that was keeping all of us out of the junkyard. No trespassing was enforced by Milo Pressman and his dog, Chopper. Needless to say we don't obey or like him.
I stared at the No trespassing sign, "No trespassing, my ass" I said mocking the sign, throwing my stuff over and climbing the fence.
I could hear the guys giggling at me, "stand back, men! Paratroops over the side!" I heard Teddy yell, throwing his sleeping bag over. I jumped down watching the guys climb the fence.
"Come on, men! Move it out!" Teddy said, as him and Vern ran to the pump. I stayed back with Chris and Gordie, watching them run away. "Teddy's crazy" Chris said, throwing his sleeping bag over his shoulder.
I shook my head and laughed, "he sure is". Gordie smiled at him. "He won't live to be twenty I bet" Chris said, putting his hands on his hips. "No I think he'll get to twenty, thirty is a different story" I said, giggling a bit, picking up my slingshot I snuck in my sleeping bag.
"That's yours?" Gordie said, looking confused that I have one. "Yeah, why?" I said, putting it on my sleeping bag. "Never knew you had one" he said, raising his eyebrows.
"Well, now you do" I said, winking and walking to Teddy and Vern at the pump, leaving Gordie and Chris there.
Chris's pov:
I shook my head and laughed at North, besides her becoming more pretty somehow, she acts the same. "I'm glad she's back" Gordie said, looking at her walking away.
"Me too... me too, let's hope we all don't turn out as crazy as Teddy is gonna be" I said, looking at Nor, then back at Gordie.
"Remember the time you saved him in the tree?"
"Yeah. You know I have a dream about that sometimes. Except in the dream I always miss him, I just get a couple of his hairs and down he goes. It's weird"
"Yeah, that is weird. But you didn't miss him, Chris Chambers never misses, does he?" Gordie said, smiling at me.
"Not even when the ladies leave the seat down" I said, spitting through a whole I made with my hand.
"Hey. I'll race y'a!" I said, nudging him in the arm. "No, I don't know" he said, starting to walk away. "Oh come man, right to the pump!"
"I'm kind of tired" he said before taking off running. "You're a dead man, Lachance" I said, taking off after him.
North's pov:
I was watching Teddy pump the pump with excessive force, I bursted out laughing with Vern. I looked back to see the Chris and Gordie racing and I'm not gonna lie, I was watching Chris.
"Do you like him?" I heard Vern say from behind me. I turned to look at him, Yes. "What, no!". Vern stared at me in disbelief, I gave him a shrug as a yes answer. "Holy shit, I knew it. I knew it, sincerely!" Vern said, a bit too loud.
"Shut the hell up Vern!" I said, seeing the guys walking back our way. "Okay, okay sorry".
"What're you guys talking about?" Chris said, as they finally reached us. "Yeah, what does Vern know?" Gordie said, raising his eyebrows at me, giving me a boyish smirk, I think he knows somehow.
"Oh nothing, just how Nor li-" I slapped my hand over his mouth. "Just how I'm excited for school!" I said, widening my eyes at Vern, taking off my hand.
No one is gonna believe that you dumbass, who is excited for school... exactly, no one. Gordie and Chris cocked their heads back in confusion, "riiiight" Gordie said, looking at Chris, then me.
I shook my head and got up, "I saw a place we can sit over there, we'll have some shade at least" I said, shielding the sun from my eyes with my hand over my head, looking at the sky.

We all started throwing stones into a tin can Vern found to pass the time.
"Have you guys been watching the Mickey Mouse Club lately?" Teddy asked us, as we kept throwing stones.
We all nodded yes, "I think Annettes tits are getting bigger".
I shook my head and giggled, "Think so?" Chris said. "Yeah, I think so".
"Yeah, I think he's right. I've been noticing lately that the A and E are beginning to bend around the sides" Gordie said, demonstrating on himself.
We all laughed, "Annettes tits are great" Vern said, shaking his head with a big smile. I shook my head again, "lucky me, I get to see them anytime I want" I said, resting my arms behind my head and leaning back.
"Oh yeah? There's nothing there!" Teddy joked, making a funny face at me. My mouth dropped in shock, "I could say the same for you!" I said, referring to his ugh... you know.
He mocked me by dropping his mouth in shock, "okay, prove it!" He said, raising his eyebrows at me. He wanted me to flash him.
"I bet you'd like that wouldn't you?" I joked, throwing a stone at him. They stayed silent, the fucking would wouldn't they.
"Omg get that image of me out of your heads" I said, throwing a handful of rocks at them. They shook them off and laughed, they didn't deny it either, these guys I swear.
"This is a really good time" Vern, said as all the laughing died down.
"The most"Chris said.
"A blast" Teddy said.
"Sure is" I said.
Gordie took a sip of his canteen and spit it into the bucket, sorta like a fountain. Next thing I knew we were all doing it.
Teddy took a sip of his and spit it at Verns cheek, "Great, spit at the fat kid, what time is Gordie?" He said, wiping off the water.
Gordie checked his watch, "ugh, it's a quarter after one" he said, looking back up from his watch. "We better get the food. The junkyard opens at three, Chopper will be here" Vern said, looking around at us.
"Ooo sic balls!" I teased Vern. They all laughed, "you go, you can pick us up on the way back" Teddy said, throwing another stone into the can.
"I'm not going alone, we should all go!" Vern said, looking at all of us individually. They all started complaining on who's staying and who's going. "Girls, girls, girls, cool it. We'll flip for it" I said, looking at Gordie for him to give us quarters.
We all flipped for it, Vern calls it a goocher. I didn't know what to think, I definitely didn't believe it. Teddy suggested that we flip again, Vern was hesitant. "Cmon verno, we don't got all day" I said, putting my elbow on my knee and resting my head on my hand.
Gordie lost. "You lose, Gordie! Gordie loses! Oh Gordie just screw the food!" Teddy said, teasing Gordie as he got up. "Does the word retarted mean anything to you?" Gordie snapped back at him.
I laughed at them quietly, then quickly zoning out. I was playing with a stone in my hands, this happens a lot. Everything goes complete silent and I have no control over myself, it's weird honestly. Sometimes my mind goes blank, other times it's filled with thoughts. All I could think about this time was my mom and the fact I haven't told the guys, especially Chris. She did a lot for him, I just can't bring myself to talk about her again.
I snapped out of it by being pulled into the guys ruff housing. I noticed Gordie was walking away, he must not be to fond of going by himself. We were all rolling on the ground, kicking up dirt and getting full of it.
Chris wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me over him to the other side, Teddy had Vern in a headlock on the other side of him. "Hey, you okay?" Chris asked me. I nodded in response, I don't think it looked very believable.
Chris sat up, making me sit up too. "Cmon, let's take a walk" he said, getting up and holding out his hand. "Okay" I said, as he pulled me up from the ground.
I wonder what he wanted to talk about?
