About a week later
"Come on, we gotta go" Nat laughed as Chris was just led across the bed
"I am too comfortable" Chris whined
"You promised you would come with me to this" Nat reminded her
"But I already forcefully signed the accord" Chris stated
"Pretty please" Nat asked
"Oh fine" Chris grumbled as she grabbed a change of clothes and shoved it into a bag
They made a small stop at London, Chrissy waited outside while Nat went in to go talk to Steve, until they came outside
"Hi" Chris smiled slightly, wrapping her blazer around herself slightly
"Hi" Steve smiled slightly as he came over and hugged Chris
"How was it?"
"Interesting... did you know my old neighbour was her niece?" Steve asked
"Yeah, my least favourite Carter member but shes okay" Chris laughed
"You had a favourite?" Nat asked
"We basically all grew up together while Peg and dad were off with SHEILD shit" Chris shrugged
"Language, Chrissy" She muttered to herself
"Why are you telling yourself off?" Steve asked
"Because I made a bet with Nat to see how long I can go without cursing" Chris nodded, leaning against the pole
"Yep" Nat agreed
"You both realise after living together for 2 years your becoming easier to read when you lie" Steve said
"Not true" Chris smiled
"I won't tell your brother" Steve offered
"Oh fine, I give up" Chris said
"That was quick" Nat laughed
"Its spandex, I gotta tell him... I got preggers with two babies" Chris explained
"Two?"
"I got twins due in like what... 30 weeks ish... I don't know, I'm only 8 weeks in" Chris explained
"Congratulations" Steve smiled slightly
"Thanks"
"We better go, we don't have long until the meeting" Nat said, looking at her phone
"Bye Cap, see you soon" Chris said as she hugged him and walked off with Nat back to the jet.
Many hours later
Nat and Christina walked inside the building, she was in a jumpsuit and blazer while Nat wore a dress
"You should wear a dress more often than a catsuit" Chris teased her
"Haha, you know I hate these" Nat said as she tucked her hair behind her ear
"They really look good on you, once these twins are out and everything is good, we gotta go clubbing again like we did many years before this Avengers shit started" Chris laughed
"Maybe I should've retired... just lived a normal life"
"No offence but you have never been normal" Nat smirked at her
"Is that the payback for giving you a compliment? If so... low blow Tasha"
"You're welcome" Nat smirked
"Excuse me, Miss Romanoff" A woman spoke up as she walked over to the pair as they entered the room
"Yes?" Nat answered
"These need your signature... and Miss Stark, you need to sign that really quickly" The woman said as she handed the two a clipboard
"Thank you" She said as they handed it back
"I suppose neither of us is use to the spotlight... unlike Miss Stark" T'Challa said as he walked over
"Its not always so flattering" Nat said
"Know me too well" Chris laughed a little at the tiny statement on the end
"Well, you seem to be doing Alright so far, considering your last trip to Captial Hill..." He told Nat
"Wait, what happened there?" Chris asked
"A long story" Nat sighed
"I wouldn't think you would be particularly comfortable in this company" T'challa added
"Well, I'm not" Nat said
"And that alone makes me glad you are here, Miss Romanoff"
"Why? You don't approve of all this?"
"The accords, yes. The politics, not really" He answered her
"Two people in a room can get more done than a hundred" He explained a little
"Unless you need to move a piano" King T'chaka said as he walked up to them, greeting his son before he turned to Chris and Nat
"Miss Romanoff... Miss Stark" He said
"Long time no see" Chris smiled
"King T'chaka, please, allow me to apologise for what happened in Nigeria" Nat said
"Wanda feels really bad and is extremely sorry" Chris nodded
"Thank you... thank you for agreeing to all of this" He said
"Imma go stand by the window because I'm not actually officially here" Chris said as she slipped away to stand at the window.
"What is wrong with you now then?" T'challa asked as he walked over to her
"Rude" Chrissy scoffed
"I am stating a fact" He laughed a little
"I just... I am a little on edge... it's been what... 4 weeks since I left the compound" Chrissy answered as she wrapped her blazer around her. The two stood near the window while the conference went forward. Chris kept a focus down on the street, seeing many people looking up and waving... until they saw something off. They both exchanged a look before they looked down at the van where a dog was barking
"Bomb" Chris whispered as her hands darkened
"Everybody get down!" T'challa yelled as him and Chris ran towards the king. They tried to reach him, only to be blasted far away, Chris used her powers to grab T'challa as best as she could and tried to reach the king but was too late.
Chris shook her head slightly as she woke up after a few seconds of being out. She saw her leg was pinned and she used her powers to drag it out in a shadow state.
"Christina!?" Nats voice yelled, sounding slightly distant as she tried to push herself up but couldn't lean on her right arm. She struggled for a moment before the emergency rescue service soon ran inside.
"Miss Stark is over here" One yelled as they saw her, kneeling down before Nat ran over
"Chris!" She said, in a mix tone of relief and concern
"Miss Romanoff, please go wait outside... I'll tell you what ambulance she is in when we get her out" The worker told Nat, seeing her slowly leave
"Can you walk?" They asked Chris
"I... I think" Chris nodded slowly as she turned herself to her stomach and slowly pushed herself up with her left arm. She stood up and they grabbed her and helped her walk downstairs and towards an ambulance
"Sprained ankle and possibly broken wrist on right arm" They told the man in the ambulance as they sat Chrissy on the bed but it didn't take Nat long to run over
"She is also pregnant, 8 weeks with twins" Nat added
"They are okay, I protected them" Chris said
"Okay, let's just see the best we can do for your wrist and ankle here" They nodded as they grabbed a small hand held x-ray machine.
About 4 hours later
"They have a suspect" Nat said as she sat next to Chris, who was sitting in one of the tents they put up
"Who?" Chris asked
"Steve's friend, Bucky" Nat told her
"What? No... I thought he was out of Hydras reach now" Chris shook her head
"That's all we know, footage was found" Nat sighed as Chris pulled out her phone, seeing a call coming in from Tony
"Okay... you go and speak to T'challa for me... tell him I am so sorry I never reached his father" Chris said as she awkwardly hugged Nat.
Hey, I'm okay just can't really talk right now... a few broken fingers and wrist, a sprained ankle but I'm good
Chris texted Tony as she then closed her eyes and focused her powers to Bucky
"Dummy!" She yelled, seeing him in the street
"What are you doing here?" He asked, seeing her and dragging her into an alley really quick
"Relax, I am not being tracked... was it really you? Did you just blow us up?" Chris asked him
"No! Why would I do that?" Bucky asked her
"Because that's what is all over the news! I don't know anything more than that Buck but you gotta go somewhere safe... please"
"Are you okay? What happened to you?" Bucky asked her
"Broken bones and that's it really... as you can see from this" Chris shook her head
"News of it hasn't reached here yet so... I'll just lay low like I have for the last year"
"But I found you"
"You have witch powers, big difference" Bucky told her as he started to walk off, she shook her head as she ran after him
"They might find you quicker than you're hoping... I can't help you with these dumb accords" Chris told him
"I know, I don't want you to get in trouble... just go back to your body Chris" Bucky told her
"Fine" She sighed
