Mikasa's POV
Eren seems to be busy in his office these past few days. He usually goes to the company as well while I am in the house just sitting in front of my laptop and monitor the companies performance.
"Hmmm..I think everything is going well. As expected of Kiyomi." I spoke softly.
I paused for a while and looked over the window.
Should I go visit Eren in his company? I should just ask the someone to drive me then we'll eat outside. That would be great seeing how stressed he is currently. He needs to ease up a bit. I smiled as I thought.
"Good morning Auntie Lydia." I greeted as I saw Eren's aunt wearing an all black formal attire. She must be going somewhere too.
"Oh Dear Mikasa! You look stunning as ever. Are you going somewhere?" She asked as she kissed my cheeks and I did the same way.
"Yes Auntie. I'm actually heading to where Eren is working." I spoke smiling.
"Perfect timing! I was about to meet my client as well in the same way. I could drop you to the company if you want." She spoke.
"I would love too. Thank you Auntie!" I smiled.
I'm really thankful that they didn't hate me even if me and Eren ended up together. I know they uphold to their reputation so much. They must also be affected to his decisions and I can't do anything about it. It's already done.
The engine started as soon as we both are seated comfortably at the passenger seat.
"Mikasa. I just want you to know that I'm still not fully convinced why you two rushed into marriage." Auntie Lydia started and I went silent.
The driver seems to be so focused on the road but I know he is listening as well. But as per servants, they are not allowed to join conversations and must keep their mouth shut.
"Auntie I'm really sorry.." I spoke. I know what she meant far more is because we, supposed to be siblings ended up marrying each other.
"I'm not talking about that Mikasa. I'm talking about you. Are you really sure about Eren?" She asked and I went silent.
Am I really sure? That is something I wouldn't ask myself. It's always him.
But the situation we were before, we were just forced into marriage. I kind of regretted I didn't seem so happy on that day to be with him when I only want in this world is for the two of us to be happy together.
"Couples? Even in marriage, after swearing in front of everyone till death do us part still get divorced. There could still be third parties. The world is a huge market, you may get robbed, you have to fight." She spoke as she looks over he window.
"I don't think Eren can do that to me Auntie. Time has proved his loyalty towards me." I spoke. That was true.
"They say love is the most twisted curse. You could never unloved someone once you devoted your heart already. Are you willing to get drown for Eren, Mikasa?" She asked already looking at me.
I don't know what to react. I didn't know Auntie Lydia could be this deep. Is that the reason why she never had a love of her life?
"Auntie Lydia. Have you ever loved someone?" I spoke blankly. I didn't know what I was thinking but she seemed startled with my question and smiled eventually.
"Of course. But I guess not everyone deserved a happy ending." She smiled.
"I do think everyone deserves a happy ending. If it's not happy then it's not yet the end right?" I asked.
"You are right. But it was already ended for me. She already married someone else." She smiled and my mouth hanged open.
If that happened to me then I don't know anymore. I am just lucky to find Eren waiting for me after all these years. I wouldn't be able to handle that if I was her.
That must be the reason why Auntie Lydia seems so cold and heartless to everyone. It was because she kept it all to her self. You never really know how much someone is going through each day, you have to be kind.
I wonder who is the guy she fell for?
"I'm so sorry Auntie. I shouldn't have asked." I kind of felt guilty after knowing about it.
"You know, I'm just glad that he really is happy with his new family. They were quite big in numbers actually." She said while smiling.
I really don't know what to say anymore. I wouldn't be able to handle that if Eren does that to me.
"You are so strong Auntie. For fighting this all by yourself. I am so proud of you." I spoke smiling. I don't know how to comfort her because I'm also a cry baby.
"Oh. I'm sorry. Did I over share too much? Hahaha I feel so embarrassed right now. You didn't listen to me did you, Damian?" She asked laughing a little while wiping her tears.
"Your secrets are safe with me, Madame." The driver said.
I saw a tall building drawing nearer and I got amazed by it's architecture. This must be a newly constructed building by the Jaeger Corp. They have expanded that great.
"Just stop by near the entrance." Auntie said.
The driver nodded and the ride came to a stop.
"Thank you Auntie for dropping me here. If you need anything, if there's anything that I can do for you, just let me know. I'm always here." I spoke and she nodded.
"Take care Mikasa and the baby. Say hi to Eren for me." She said smiling as she patted my back while we hug and I embraced her as well.
I blushed as I heard the word "baby". Right, I mean OMG.
I waved my goodbye to Auntie as I saw the car going away.
"Get off me! You're embarrassing me!" A girl screamed and I saw an old man begging and kneeling in front of her.
"Please Ma'am I really need the money. My wife is bed-ridden. We don't have anything to eat if you do this Ma'am I am begging you." The old man kept on saying as he cried reaching for her.
I furrowed my eyebrows as her bodyguards tried to carry the old man away from her harshly. What caused of this commotion? Can't they feel any pity on the old man?
"You're already fired!! You are incompetent! Goddd! My clothes are ruined! Look at what you've done!" The blond girl screamed completely disgusted.
I can't just overlook on this. Before the old man was carried away further, I stepped into picture.
"Is there a problem here?" I asked and all of them looked at my direction.
I frowned as I looked at the bruises the old man got. They didn't have to go that far. He looked so helpless and it breaks my heart to see something like this.
"Nothing. Just an old useless man who can't even do his job properly so he's fired." The blond girl said and I swear I have never been triggered this much since Eren.
"Let go of him. He isn't moving anymore." I spoke and the guard slowly let go of the old man.
"Whaaa..Who are you to interfere?! You? Do you also want to say farewell to your job?!" The blond girl screamed and the guards went back to what they did earlier.
My eyebrows raised and I glared at each one of them.
"You have nothing to say on this matter! Stay away. I don't even know who you are." The blond said as she faced me.
"He's fired right? So that means you are no longer in control of him. Basic logic and you don't understand?" I tilted my head and crossed my arms.
"Bitch? What did you just say?!" She went closer and I stood still.
Does she really think she can threaten me?
"Let go of the old man already if you don't have a business with him because I will give him a job. Is that clear?" I said loud and clear.
He backed away a little and commanded her men to let go of the old man. The poor man coughed as he breathed some air.
I went to help him and went down to take a look at his face.
"Are you alright grandpa? You can work for me instead. You don't have to worry." I smiled.
"Thank you so much Ma'am I owe you our life. I will serve you as much as I can." The old man said clearly exhausted and I pity him.
I looked back and saw the evil glare the blond girl is sending me and I raised my head a little.
"This isn't over yet. I'm sure we'll be able to meet again." The blond girl scoffed and went away with her men after her.
The bitch. She doesn't even respect elders. I hated that attitude.
"Here. Accept this little gift from me grandpa. Buy some medicine and food for your wife. Also, contact me if you want to work already or go to that place." I said as I handed him some cash and my calling card.
"Ma'am I couldn't accept this. This is too much." The old man said and I smiled.
"Go on grandpa. You need it." I said as I held his palm and made him hold the money.
"Thank you. Really, thank you so much. I don't know how I will be able to pay this Ma'am." The old man cried in happiness and I smiled at him.
Elders should be taken cared of, not getting yelled at.
I talked about him for a while and why he got into that situation. The poor man and his wife got abandoned by their daughter and his wife got bed-ridden. He's the breadwinner for the two of them now.
"You don't have to worry on this grandpa. I got you." I said and the old man wiped his tears and said countless thank you before I excused myself to get inside the building already.
"Where is the office of the president?" I asked at the ground floor.
"I'm sorry Ma'am but we have to set an appointment first..." The girl said and her eyes went wide the moment she saw my face.
"Oh my God. I'm so sorry Ma'am. Please, follow me this way." The girl hurriedly assisted me and we went inside the elevator and I just smiled at her.
"Here Ma'am. The President is currently inside." The girl bowed and excused herself.
"Thank you." I said and smiled at her.
I opened the door slowly and spoke.
"Good afternoon.."
