𝗔fter the fight from last night, the Kooks felt as if they won. But in the Pogues eyes, they didn't really.

"Don't let it get in your head. Three of them and two of us." JJ beamed.

Being honest, the fight was not fair at all.

"That's typical Kook shit right there." Pope stood behind the counter.

Aria being around the "death squad" for so long, knows how they work. "Hell, yeah."

JJ stuffed some food in his mouth, and adjusted the hat on his head before speaking again. "What was your thought process, using your head?"

"I don't know, man. I just kind of acted off instinct." Pope opened the little entrance and joined his friends by the counter.

"Yes. I was a cornered animal." JJ scoffed, shaking his head.

"Hey, Pope, someone here to see you." Heyward walked in, an officer following behind.

"Evening, Officer." Pope fixed himself, standing up straight.

"I have an arrest warrant for felony destruction of property." Officer Shoupe walked in over towards Pope.

"What?" Heyward asked, as the cop strolled over to his son.

Aria was standing next to Pope, and knew that this was Topper's doing. She couldn't help but feel protective of Pope, after all he's grown to be one of her best friends.

Deputy Shoupe stared at Aria as he pulled out his handcuffs. "Young lady, out of my way."

Aria moved slightly out of the way, her not wanting to leave Pope.

"Whoa. Shoupe, what'd he do?" Heyward gulped.

"Look at the warrant." Shoupe flipped Pope around to slip on the handcuffs.

"You're just arresting my boy?" Heyward wiped his forehead.

JJ, Kie and Aria followed after Shoupe, watching him take away their friend.

"Anything you say can and will be held against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney." Shoupe opened the door to his vehicle.

"It wasn't him! It was me." JJ screamed, catching Shoupe's attention. "He tried to talk me out of it, but I was mad because he'd just been beaten up. I was so sick of those assholes from Figure Eight that I lost my shit. I can't let you take the blame for somethin' I did. You've got too much to lose."

"JJ, what are you doing?" Pope asked, him knowing the actual truth.

"I'm tellin' the truth. For once in my goddamn life, I'm gonna tell the truth. I took his old man's boat, too." JJ stepped up to the officer.

"What the hell?" Heyward grumbled, watching JJ take the fall.

"JJ, come on." Pope begged. "Just shut up, Pope!" JJ snapped. "Just shut up. He's a good kid. You know where I'm from."

"Yeah." The officer looked JJ up and down.

"This was all me." JJ placed his hands behind his back.

"That's the whole truth?" Shoupe turned and asked Pope. "Whole truth, swear to God." JJ replied.

"I know what you think, damn it, I'm asking Pope." He snapped. Pope took a drop breathe, "Yeah, that about covers it."

Shoupe uncuffed Pope and let him go, while turning to JJ and cuffing him.

The deputy turned to the Kook, disappointment written all over his face. "I thought I told you to stop hanging around trash."

Aria at this point was so sick of people pushing her around constantly and telling her what to do all the time. "You're not my father! Stop acting like it. I can hang around whoever I want."

Shoupe looked surprised at her sudden outburst. "I'll
remember that when I'm hand cuffing you next." And that's all it took for him to drive off with JJ in the back seat.

"Pope." Heyward called after his son.

Pope ripped his hat off, slamming it on the pavement. "Shit!"

Aria spent the hour on edge, the fact that she knew her boyfriends father would beat the shit out of him.

Sheriff Peterkin managed to spill out how he was no longer in prisoned.

She was at the Chateau waiting for John B to get back, the hard knocking at the door startled her.

"John B!" JJ screamed pounding on the door.

Aria ran to the door and engulfed JJ in her arms, "JJ I was so worried about you."

JJ wrapped his arms around his girl, holding her jaw up with one hand. Her eyes scanned over his bruised face and the new fresh cuts.

"I'm okay baby." JJ leaned forward pressing a kiss against her lips.

"C'mon, we gotta get out of here." He laced their hands together and pulled her out of the house.

"We have to wait for JB" They hid behind the side of the house.

"There is police here, they are watching his house." Aria whispered, seeing the car waiting.

"I know." JJ laid his head against the wall behind him.

"He's right there JJ." Aria directed his attention to John B.

JJ shot up and tackled his best friend to the ground, John B reacted quickly flipping them around so he was on top of him. "It's me, JJ. Stop, stop, stop, stop."

John B let go of his collar sitting up off of him. "What are you doing?"

JJ grabbed him and dragged him over towards Aria.

"Shut up."

"Ari." John B acknowledged her. She sent him a small smile, "They're watching us, okay?"

"Who?" John B asked.

"I'm not sure."

"I don't know. Let's go. Sneak around to the dock." JJ grabbed the two of them.

"Wait JJ." She pulled her hand out of his grasp, remembering she had to be home.

"What." He asked, confused by her sudden withdrawal.

"I-I have to go home. Midsummers is tonight." Aria sighed, wanting to just be with her boyfriend.

"Okay, okay. I'll see you tonight M'lady." He kissed her forehead and ran off with John B.

Aria had parked her car further away from John B's house, she didn't want to be in eye vision of the hidden cop car.

Her car started and she drove off into the OBX. Her roof was down, hair flying everywhere. She passed the Cut houses, and the Figure 8 houses.

She pulled into her private neighborhood, seeing her parents car's parked in the driveway. She hasn't been
home in a couple days, ever since she stole from her fathers office.

The car doors locked and she clicked the numbers on her keypad, opening her front door.

"Mother?" She called out.

"Ari?" Her mother came down the stairs, her hair in hair curlers.

"Hey mom, it's Midsummers tonight so...I'm here." She formed her lips into a line.

Belle came down and faced in front of her daughter. "Aria. I haven't been the best mother and I'm sorry. I love you, you just make me angry sometimes. Let's go." She apologized, the guilt eating her up every day.

"It's okay. I forgive you." Aria accepted her mother's apology, not wanting any problems anymore.

"Go shower, your dress is being ironed." Belle and her daughter made their way upstairs.

Aria stepped out of her hot shower and slipped on her white fluffy robe. Her hair was naturally straight so that she didn't have to worry about.

She put on her best smelling lotion and sat down on her fluffy white vanity chair. She put on her usual makeup, not wanting to over due anything.

Her dress was the best part of Midsummers, her family was always named the best dressed.

Her dress was a sage green, it was silk and it flowed out to her feet. It had a cut by her thigh, her whole leg being exposed. Her heels were a sparkly light gray.

"Aria, honey." Victor knocked on the door lightly.

"Come in." She answered, placing on her necklace and rings.

"You look beautiful." Her father complemented, wearing a black suit and a gray tie matching his wife's dress.

"Thank you father." She grabbed her phone and purse.

"Where did you get that ring from." He gestured towards the ring that JJ had given her.

END OF FLASHBACK

"Oh, my friend." She smiled, twisting the ring on her finger.

"Mh" Her father studied the ring quickly. "We are leaving in five minutes. Oh and no Pogue drama tonight. I don't wanna hear it or see it. And you're walking out with Rafe still."

Aria couldn't even fight with him because he slammed her door closed. She knew that her father had seen her running to the Twinkie with JJ, but why hadn't he said anything about that?

Well, she knew that JJ wouldn't pull a stunt tonight especially in front of everyone. Or so she thought.
