That night I couldn't sleep, all I could think about was Peter. I knew that sooner or later I would be going to Asgard with Thor and I knew that the goodbyes would be heart breaking, the only thing that I wanted at the moment was to call him. So I dialled his number completely oblivious of the fact that it was actually 3 a.m.
"Mia, love are you okay?" I hear his sleepy voice say at the other end of the phone, and I can't help but smile at myself,
"Hi Peter, yes I am fine, I just needed to hear you, I am so sorry I didn't see the time." I tell him honestly, already feeling bad for waking him up at such a time on a school night,
"Aw, you're cute, don't worry about it! What's on your mind love?" he asked me, I blushed at how adorable he was, my heart racing his voice being so comforting,
"I was thinking about how I am to leave for Asgard soon, and how I don't want to leave you." I tell him honestly and already I had a lump in my throat and he, for sure, heard how sad I sounded,
"Ohh, right, I had completely forgotten about that." he said, as I heard him turn on his bed, I could feel his whole demeanour change, I sighed,
"It's going to be fine okay? I am going to miss you like crazy tho." he said through the phone, I had a tear rolling down my cheek, I smiled at his words, and wiped it away quickly,
"I am going to miss you like crazy too." I tell him in all honesty, then I looked around and thought about how much I wanted to be with him and how we didn't have any time to waste because soon I would be going far away for I don't know how long, I stood up still my phone connected to my ear, and I went on to put my sneakers and a large sweater over my large t-shirt and black leggings that I used as a pyjama, trying to be as quiet as possible,
"I really wish I could go with you! But I normally will be busy too, we have a decathlon tournament, so we will have a lot to do, and a lot to prepare for." he said as I sneaked out of my room and made my way towards the front doors of the compound, as soon as I stepped outside I started to fly in direction of where Peter lives,
"I wish you could come too, but yeah you'll be busy too and I am sure Tony will also have things for you to do." I tell him trying to reassure myself and him that everything will be fine and that the time would pass by quickly,
"Yeah maybe, who knows. With everything that has happened with him and you I kinda grew a bit distant but I mean if you can get over it so can I." he said trying to think about something else, I had to cut the mic of my phone call because due to all the wind Peter would know in a second that I wasn't back in my bed anymore, I didn't say anything and it didn't surprise him so he continued, as I could see that I was approaching Queens,
"Do you know what you will be looking for in Asgard?" he asked and I had to answer so I landed quickly on a nearby roof and turned on the mic,
"We will try to find anything about my mom and all the powers I have and where they come from, and how my mom knew Thor and Loki, I am kind of excited to meet Loki. It's crazy really." I tell him turning my mic off and flying again towards his apartment, I smiled to myself when I light coming out of his bedroom window,
"Be careful with him, he did try to destroy all of us, but that's going to be cool for sure, I just hope there is a way for us to communicate while you're out there." he tells me, and that's when it hit me, not only was I going to be far from him, there won't be anything that I could use or do to keep in touch with him, I don't think they have any service up there, I sigh to myself turning my mic on and landing on his roof,
"I will be careful don't worry, and yeah, let's hope there is a way for us to text and call at least a bit." I tell him, I then cut my mic again, and was about to fly again down to his window when he spoke up,
"Mia, you don't know how much I am going to miss you, I already miss you so much. I wish you were here with me." he said and I smiled to myself as I flew down to his window and knocked on his widow,
"What? Wait Mia-" he said confused, I hung up the phone as I see him pushing the curtains away, his mouth agape at the sight of me floating in the air right in front of his window, I smiled and he unlocked his window letting me in, and without another word, as I touched down on the carpet of his bedroom he engulfed me in a tight hug and kissed me passionately.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were in your bed, look at you you're freezing." he said as he sat me down on his bed and put a blanket around me. It was only at that moment that I realised that I was really cold, I thanked him and buried myself on the blanket,
"Surprise!" I tell him as he sat next to me his goofy smile on, I pecked his nose. He looked so cute,
"I love you!" he said, looking at me straight in the eyes, brushing a bit of my hair away from my face, his thumb gently caressing my cheek, I closed my eyes at the soft touch of his warm hand against my cold face,
"I love you to infinity and beyond." I tell him, he opened his arms and I gladly made my way closer to him, he kissed the top of my head, sighing in contentment, I couldn't help but smile at myself,
"We will be okay Peter, we will get through this. I won't be gone for long, I promise." I tell him, but I could feel his pain inside and it killed me, I turned to face him, he had his eyes sparkling with tears, he tried and smile at me but he failed when a tear fell down,
I hugged him brushing my hand in his hair gently, he held me so tightly I could feel his heart beat. I closed my eyes, taking in all of him, his sent, his every move, every muscle. His touch, his soft skin, everything. Because I knew that once up there I would miss it all.
"You don't know when you leave right?" he asked me again and I shook my head,
"Then let's just enjoy every moment we can have together, I wish I could call in sick at school but I already missed too much, but I promise to be at the compound when I am not at school and spend as much time as I can with you." he said and I nodded smiling at him, I knew deep inside me that we would be fine, it would be hard, but I could feel even more difficult things coming ahead and being able to overcome them together.
"I love you." I tell him, as I was starting to be sleepy, he took my shoes off and placed me on his bed, and laid beside me, I turned the light off with my mind, and looked at him, he had his beautiful smile on,
"I love you even more Mia, you're amazing never forget that." he said to me, while gently stroking my hair and making me fall asleep even faster than I had planned to,

Steve's POV
C'mon Rogers you can do it! I can't believe how nervous I am, Nat asked me if I wanted to go and watch a movie with her in the theatre room and of course I agreed. It's kind of late but I couldn't sleep, and we actually went for a late night snack at the same time and so it led to this. I do like her a lot and care for her, but I am just so nervous. After being kind of rejected by Mia, which hurt like hell, I was afraid to be also rejected by Nat. I took a deep breath and opened the door, she immediately turned around. Her beautiful eyes sparkling, and her beautiful smile spreading across her face,
"Hey Steve." she said happily, gosh I hope this goes well!
Tony's POV
"How do you fell babe?" I asked Pepper, damn, I never thought I'd say that to her ever again! We were still trying to figure out what H.Y.D.R.A. had done to her, but for the time being I was so happy that she was there and with me. All thanks to Nat, Wanda and of course Mia, I felt so bad for what happened with her and I hope one day she will be able to forgive me.
"I am fine Tony, now that I am with you!" she told me, her hand gently caressing mine, as I caress her bruised face, the bruises had already faded a bit but still, her once perfect face had now scars that probably would never go away. Reminding her everyday for the rest of her life what a nightmare she had lived. I didn't care about the scars tho, to me she was perfect.
"Alright, visiting hours are over. But I am pretty confident that Miss Potts here will be able to join you on your quarters tomorrow, for a permanent stay." the nurse said, smiling at both of us. I couldn't help but smile, I kissed Pepper on the lips looking at her beautiful eyes, before leaving and looking one more time behind me, only to see her smile sleepily at me.
I hated when I had to leave, I just wished nothing would happen and that in the morning I would be there to hold her in my arms. I wasn't sleepy, when was I anyway? So I decided to go to my lab, and try and find something to do, as a thank you for Mia and what she did for me despite of it all.
Sam's POV
I was in my beautiful dreamless sleep when I heard knocking on my door,
"Sam is not available for the moment please try in the morning, but not before 9 a.m. thank you." I said sleepily, but the banging wouldn't stop, so I had to eventually get up, and kick that person's ass as hard as they were knocking on the door, I growled when I opened the door to a weird looking Bucky. He didn't say a word and I just stepped aside and opened the door wider letting him come in.
"I hope you have a good reason to be here and not let me have my beauty sleep, because lemme tell you all this doesn't happen on a three hour night." I tell him, plopping down on my bed, damn I couldn't help being this dramatic even when I was dead tired, I sighed at myself, as I saw him staring at nothing like always,
"Earth to Bucky!" I snapped my fingers at him and he looked at me,
"ShefoundaboxwithmythingsandtheWinterSoldier'sthings,andIdon'tknowhowtofeel." he said so fast I wasn't sure I understood a word he had said,
"Sorry what?" I asked again, he ran his hand through his hair and down his face, I raised an eyebrow at him questioning his reaction, he was obviously frustrated,
"Mia, she came back from the H.Y.D.R.A. base with a box with stuff that belonged to me before I became the Winter Soldier and things that belonged to the Winter Soldier, and I don't know how to feel about it." he tells me more calmly and I looked at him, processing what he had just told me,
"You don't know how to feel about what she brought back or about her?" I asked him, sitting straight on my bed, he stayed silent,
"Bucky?" I asked again, as the room was so silent I was wondering if the guy was even breathing,
"I don't know man, I mean ever since I came back as me, and not the Winter Soldier, no one has ever done something like that for me. Like stealing a box with my belongings. She's so nice, I mean she keeps saying that she borrowed it, because her being her, she could never 'steal' something." he said laughing to himself, is he whipped?
"Man, don't tell me you caught the Mia fever too now?" I told him an eyebrow raised and he looked at me and furrowed his eyebrows,
"What? No!" he said but he wasn't convincing at all, but I was too tired to even try and get into that discussion, he's whipped...
"So what did she bring back for you?" I asked him as I saw a silver necklace around his neck,
"She found that." he said taking the necklace out from under his t-shirt, it was his and Steve's dog tags from back in the forties, I got up and looked at them in awe,
"Okay yeah now that is the cutest thing someone has ever done for you." I tell him nodding my head, I couldn't even begging to imagine how he must have felt like when she showed him those dog tags,
"I feel so dumb." he laughs to himself, not looking at me, and I looked at him waiting for explanation,
"She's just so nice, and she makes everyone feel so good about themselves. She went through so much too, and yet she never says a thing about it and she just makes sure you're okay, you know what I mean?" he said to me, and that's when my concern showed on my face, he's definitely whipped...
"I know what you mean Bucky, but just don't forget that she has a boyfriend that she loves very much. She doesn't need to have someone else on her heels Buck." I tell him sternly, I knew it wasn't Mia's fault, she was a really likeable young woman, but she didn't deserve the drama of someone else liking her and her not liking that person back, I mean it's so hard to even explain it, I just know she would feel terrible knowing someone liked her and she couldn't like them the same way back. Just like what happened with Steve,
"I know, I know. And trust me I don't want to get in between them. It's just-" he paused looking at me in the eyes,
"I haven't felt that way since the 40'." he said looking back down at his hands, he let out a deep sight and ran a hand in his hair, messing it even more, I honestly was speechless,
"I will protect her and be there for her and just do my part in the shadow and conceal whatever it is that I am feeling for her. I am sure it'll go away soon enough anyway." he said and somewhat I knew he was trying to convince himself, I nodded, and he got up making his way towards my bedroom door,
"Thank you for listening and sorry if I woke you up." he said opening the door and as he was about to close it, he popped his head inside my room again,
"If you talk to this to anyone I will kill you." he said and I couldn't help but roll my eyes playfully at him and laugh, he laughed too and closed the door,
Gosh Mia, I don't know what is wrong with you but guys fall for you like bees for honey. I have to find a way to protect her from whatever Bucky could be doing.
