Another nightmare, another sleepless night.
James sits up to see the empty, cold room-- only a thin sheet separates him from the freezing floor. But he doesn't feel anything, only guilt. A foot away from him is a small notebook where his darkest deeds are kept. He glances at it and sighs, shaking his head. Why me? He lays back down in hopes to fall back asleep, but he knows it's hopeless. Grabbing his phone, he begins to call Sam but stops himself. He won't care, he thinks to himself and sets his phone down. Who would care?

Zoe sits up fast in her bed, alert. She scans the room only to see her cat pawing at her broken clay pot. "Atlas, why?!" The cat scurries away as she picks up the broken pieces and her misplaced sprout. "So much for fresh herbs, I guess."
Leaving the mess for the morning, she glances out of her window. Nothing like a rainy night to lull her to sleep. Atlas jumps into bed and she follows, yawning and stretching. The rain always gave her comfort and she dozed off.
