The office took most of the floor. Inside, we had no place to breathe.
An old man, glowing like a dim moon, sat in an oversized armchair. "Welcome. I apologize for squandering your time, but my colleague has deceived you. Unfortunately, we do not offer deals."
Lair. He was laughing at me behind his calm façade.
"Please! My mother needs the miracle! I don't need my soul!"
Fool! Who would trade their pathetic life for someone else?
"What about, you Ciel? What is your wish?"
"You know." He must have read my thoughts.
"I do not buy souls." He sighed. "However, I require two envoys. Would you visit my colleague's victims and dissuade them? I can barely leave."
