Third Person's POV
Ichigo woke up early to do her everyday run around the school. Afterwards, she changed into her school uniform and went to the cafeteria then ordered her usual breakfast from Yostuba. Ever since she and Naoto started dating they've been eating breakfast together since they're busy for the rest of the day, but today she's on her own since Naoto won't be coming, or at least Suzukawa-sensei won't. She finished eating then returned her used dishes back to the counter and went to meet Aoi and Ran to kill some time. They chatted about whatever topic until it was already 7:46, Ichigo was to go to the school gates to wait for Naoto. Aoi and Ran wished her luck and told her to give them the details later on.
She walked to the school gates then waited, a few underclassmen wondered why she was there and it made Ichigo nervous, she sighed in relief that they're classes start at 8:00 but of course there would be students who aren't in class because of work.
Four minutes later and she spotted the familiar man who walked to the gates, Naoto was wearing his usual attire for his band and his hair was styled. Ichigo felt herself smile as he came closer but he was stopped by the guards.
"Stop! Who are you and what's your purpose in coming here?" one of the guards asked, Naoto sighed as he was about to answer but Ichigo ran to the gates
"H-he's with me! I invited him over. We're to meet with Orihime-gakuencho to discuss a few things" Ichigo said, the guards looked at her then at Naoto skeptically. They then shrugged and stepped aside as Naoto walked in, Ichigo was tempted to give him a hug but decided to do that later so instead she gave him a smile while he returned it. Ichigo giggled a bit as Naoto went back to his cold demeanor and the two walked side by side to the Headmistress's office. Students who had work and were on their way saw the two and gasped
"It's Hoshimiya-senpai and Nao from MoTrue!"
"Are the rumours really true?"
"What are they doing here?"
They walked along ignoring the few staring eyes of the other students. Ichigo cleared her throat
"So.. does your class know about your absence?" she asked
"Yes. I told Johnny-sensei to tell either Kurosawa or Amahane about it" Naoto replied
"Okay!" Ichigo said. As they walked up the stairs to the next floor, three girls saw them. One of then blinked a few times and cocked her head to the side
"Was that Hoshimiya-senpai and Nao-san?" Akari asked
"Without a doubt, it was them" Hinaki replied, Sumire put a hand to her face in wonder
"What could be the reason to why the both of them are here?" Sumire asked, Akari thought for a while then an answer came to mind
"Could it be... the rumours?" she asked as the two looked at her with curiousity. Hinaki widened her eyes as she realized what Akari meant
"The rumours that Hoshimiya-senpai and Nao from More-Than-True are.."
"Dating?" Sumire finished for her. They looked at each other then back at the staircase where they saw Ichigo and Naoto. They thought about it for a while then smiled altogether
"Nah, that can't be. They're probably here to discuss about their next job" Hinaki suggested as Sumire nodded
"I think so" said Sumire
"You guys are right. There's just no way that Hoshimiya-senpai is dating Nao-san" Akari said completely convinced with the idea.
Ichigo sneezed as the two made a turn in the hallway, Naoto glanced at her
"Did you catch a cold?" he asked, Ichigo rubbed her nose for a bit then looked back at Naoto with a smile
"No, I'm completely fine!" she replied, Naoto nodded then looked ahead. This time, it was his turn to sneeze
"Did you catch a cold?" Ichigo asked as Naoto covered his nose for a bit
"No, I didn't" he replied, Ichigo put her hands at the back as she looked up
"Maybe someone is talking about us.." she trailed off as she saw Naoto stop in his tracks and look at the window
"Naoto?" she called, Naoto moved his fingers along the windowsill then looked at his fingers to see dust
"Or maybe someone isn't cleaning the widows right" he said as he dusted off the dust on his fingers and returned to Ichigo's side.
"I'll have to clean that later" he said as the two continued to walk, Ichigo laughed
"But you're a teacher" she said as Naoto shrugged lightly
"It's hard to shake off old habits" he said with a small laugh.
They went on and finally arrived at the Headmaster's office where Orihime was waiting for them, the two actually requested a meeting about two days before this day so Orihime expected their arrival. Ichigo took deep breaths just when Naoto intertwined his hand with hers, Ichigo turned red as she turned to him. He gives her a smile as he firmly squeeze her hand
"It'll be alright" he said to calm her nerves, Ichigo then smiled as she lightly squeezed his hand in return
"Okay" she said, the two then let go as Ichigo brought up her other hand and knocked on the door
"Gakuencho, it's me Hoshimiya" she said aloud, a voice from inside then replied
"Come in" the two looked at each other for a bit then went inside the room and closed the door behind then. There sat the Headmistress of Starlight Academy, Mitsuishi Orihime, who once was part of the Legendary Idol Unit Masquerade.
"Hoshimiya and.. Nao. Is there something you want to talk about?" Orihime asked as she looked at the two, Ichigo and Naoto shared a look then nodded as they turned to Orihime
"Gakuencho, there's something we want to talk about" Ichigo said as Orihime gave them her full attention, Ichigo breathed in then out then looked at Orihime seriously but nervously
"Orihime-gakuencho... I'm dating Naoto!" she declared, Orihime gaped at them as another voice yelled
"WHAT?!"
The three in the room turned to the two couches facing each other with a coffee table separating them, a person stood up from behind the couch with wide eyes, Orihime sighed
"Bepp-sensei, aren't you supposed to be in class?" she asked, Johnny stood straight as he sweat dropped and looked everywhere but at Orihime, he then cleared his throat to regain his composure
"My honeys are currently training for an upcoming audition. But-!" he then closed in on the couple, composing of a surprised Ichigo and a monotone Naoto
"To hear that Starmiya and Coolkawa.. Nao are together. It's surprising! Unbelievable! And a big no!" he said as he crossed his arms forming an 'X'. Ichigo's face fell as she walked up to Johnny
"But why?" she asked
"Because love for idols are forbidden! A distraction! Imagine how your fans would react with the news. They'd be devastated.. depressed.. and extremely sad!" Johnny explained as he did a dramatic pose. Ichigo frowned as Naoto rolled his eyes and Orihime face palmed
"On the contrary, I think their fans would absolutely love the news" Orihime said as she smiled at the two, a smile formed on Ichigo's face
"Really?"
"Really?!"
She and Johnny said at the same time, Orihime then pressed the button on the device on her table and displayed the movie poster of Summer Cafe, a movie that recently released with the two as the leading roles.
"Since the announcement of the movie, many people have been looking forward to it. With the official release of the movie, the movie houses were filled with no vacant seats and the movie stayed in theaters for two weeks, with its third week screening this week" Orihime explained, she then swiped to the next picture of a website
"Long before this movie, you two have been paired in this website and with the movie release and the concert, the website exploded with more than a million members. There are already edited pictures, videos, arts, and stories about you two. Without a doubt, your fans would be very happy to hear that you two are dating" Orihime said with a smile.
Ichigo and Naoto shared a smile while Johnny was shrinking
"But.. but.. but.." he repeated
"We are here to help and guide our students. Whatever happens and whatever they decide, we are there to help them with their decision. Love is not forbidden, I'll allow it as long as you tell me. Keep that in mind, Bepp-sensei" she said to the shrinking teacher
"Y-yes, Gakuen mother" he said
"Now go and congratulate them"
"Yes. Congrats Starmiya! Coolkawa teacher!" he said with a thumbs up and a waterfall of tears
"Thank you Johnny-sensei!" Ichigo thanked him
"Thanks" Naoto said monotonely. Johnny wailed and weeped saying how his student and junior teacher are finally grown up so Orihime dismissed him. The three then sat at the couches as she offered them tea
"So you want to schedule a press conference?" she asked as she sipped her tea
"Yes, it would be better if we officially announced it rather than getting a scandal" Naoto said
"I see. I'll arrange a meeting for TKY TV about it" Orihime said as she set down her tea cup, Ichigo and Naoto bowed
"Thank you Gakuencho" they said in unison.
Later that afternoon, they were told to meet with the staff of TKY TV the next day. Of course, Ichigo and Naoto told the news to their friends and family that night. Both Ichigo and Naoto also tweeted in Kirakiratter about the press conference for tomorrow making fans anxious and curious about the news.
The next day, around 8:00 am, the two rode on a van to TKY TV, when they arrived a crowd of their fans were by the entrance holding banners and such for the two, cheering and wishing them luck on their work. They waved to respond as everyone cheered and squeeled while the soon-to-be announced couple walked in the building.
They sat in the meeting room silently, waiting for the staff to set up the conference room and have the reporters settled down. Ichigo clasped her hands together as she closed her eyes, feeling the nervousness taking over. Naoto noticed this and asked
"You alright?" Ichigo looked at him and put on her best smile
"Yeah, just nervous" Ichigo said then looked down
"I'm just thinking, what if there are people against us? What if they'll tell me to choose between you or being an idol? I can't pick one and give up the other, I love being an idol and I love you" Ichigo said. Naoto lightly blushed from her words and Ichigo, only realizing what she said flushed bright red. Naoto cleared his throat to regain his composure and turned to her again, putting his hand on top of hers and held it gently making Ichigo look at him
"Hey, there's nothing to worry about. I'm with you in this, okay? No matter what people say, I'm not giving you up Ichigo" he said, Ichigo lightly blushed
"Naoto.." she said quietly, Naoto smiled slightly then went back to his monotone look
"Also, where did you get that idea? Having to choose between me or your work and all" he asked
"Aoi and I have been watching a few conferences and the comments were pretty bad. We also watched this drama and the idol was asked to either give up her love or work!" Ichigo muttered which was loud enough for Naoto to hear. He sighed then placed his hand on her head
"The conference hasn't started yet. We'll know if there are people against us or not after the announcement. If there aren't then that's good, if there are then we'll leave them be. What other people say shouldn't get in the way of our relationship, they don't get to decide who we should or shouldn't be with. Whatever or whoever tries to get between us, we'll deal with them together. Okay?" he said reassuringly, Ichigo felt tears in her eyes starting to fall one by one. Naoto moved his hand from her head to her cheek and wiped away the tears, Ichigo sniffled as she nodded
"Okay!"
The reporters took their seats and prepared their notebooks and pens along with cameras while the cameraman checked if the camera was good to go. A staff came inside and opened the door
"Nao-san and Hoshimiya-san are ready, rolling in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!" he said as Naoto and Ichigo went inside the room while the cameraman started rolling. The couple took their seats as pictures were taken and reporters readied their pens.
In other places, Aoi was on break from her filming watching the conference on her Aikatsu phone. Ran was on break from her photoshoot and watched on her Aikatsu phone. Kaede and Yurika watched on one of their Aikatsu phones at the school cafeteria. Otome, Sakura, and Shion were at a cafe eating sweets as they watched the conference in Otome's Aikatsu phone. Mizuki and Mikuru watched on TV at Mikuru's own home. Seira, Kii, Sora, and Maria watched from Kii's computer. Akari and friends (Basically everyone from Akari gen, Wifi-san got lazy of enumerating names) were all watching from Akari's Aikatsu phone while taking a break from practice. Naoto's family and Ichigo's family watched on their own TV, Ichigo's father Taichi was watching online, he knew about the couple since Ichigo told him about it a few nights ago and he's holding back tears, Ichigo made sure to introduce Naoto to him when he gets back. Orihime and Johnny watched through Orihime's screen (the device on her table, you know what I'm talking about), then we have Maruno who's watching on his TV while his laptop was open to the IchiNao website which was currently flooding with posts from the members watching the conference and are making predictions.
Back with the couple, they gave each other determined nods then faced the reporters.
"Thank you all for taking the time to watch our conference, Nao and I have a very important announcement to make" Ichigo started off
"Though it's more like a reveal than announcement" Naoto murmured but the microphone didn't catch it so only Ichigo heard it. A reporter stood up and held a mic
"What could this announcement be Hoshimiya-san?" she asked, Ichigo felt Naoto hold her hand under the table and gave her a light squeeze to tell her that he's here for her, Ichigo now felt confident as she looked at the reporters
"That is, Nao and I are.." she said as she looked at Naoto with a small smile and a gaze that shouts out 'I love you!', Naoto returned the smile with a gentle and loving gaze of his own
"Together" he said, a gasp came from the reporters and staff in the room including all of the people watching.
"Um.. by together you mean..?" a reporter asked as Ichigo nodded making her ribbon bounce and gave a close-eyed smile
"Yes. Nao and I are dating!" she said confidently as the reporters and staff gasped again.
"She said it!" Aoi, Ran, Raichi, and Tiara said from where they are, Johnny cried while Taichi cried harder, Ringo and Naoto's mom only giggled.
"Seriously?" said Kaede with a wide-eyed Yurika.
"Woah!" Mikuru exclaimed with a shocked Mizuki.
"Uwah! Congrats Ichigo-tan! Nao-tan! Love you!" Otome said as she formed a heart with her hands
"I don't believe it..." Shion said
"Congratulations Ichigo-sama!" Sakura said in her Kitauji theater.
"Woah..." Seira said while Sora and Maria stayed shocked, Kii fumbled then shouted
"GAAHH!!! This is big news! I need to chat Aoi!" she yelled as she started typing on her Aikatsu phone.
Meanwhile, Akari and friends...
. . . . .
"EEEEHHHHH???!!!!"
Then we have Maruno taking pictures then transferring them to his laptop and uploading them
"Wow.. the internet is bustling!" he said as many members posted screenshots and pictures of the conference with captions of 'Yey!' or 'Finalllyyyyy!!!'. Kirakiratter was filled with tweets and hashtags of the couple. He even spotted Aoi's post and tweet. Hiro, Shurato, and King were watching at Hiro's apartment and were currently jumping around and cheering with the reveal.
Back to the conference, reporters were asking them questions to which some were entertained and a few weren't.
"When did you start dating?"
"It was in the middle of filming the movie 'Summer Cafe' " Ichigo answered
"Do your families know about this?"
"They do" Naoto answered
"What made you to decide about revealing your relationship?"
"We both didn't want to hide or keep secrets about it. We're proud to show the world about us!" Ichigo answered
"Revealing it in a conference is better than getting scandals" Naoto added
"Hoshimiya-san, did you ever consider that some would be uhappy about this? Or that some would question about your seriousness in your career?" Ichigo paused for a bit as her face fell and looked down, Naoto noticed this and he was about to dismiss the question but Ichigo spoke first
"I did. There's a chance that some would be happy for us and some wouldn't be, but that won't stop me from loving Nao or going on as an idol. I love Nao and my fans, I'm gonna keep doing my best as the top idol and as Nao's girlfriend!" she declared, viewers awed and Naoto blushed from Ichigo's declaration, Ichigo turned red from embarrassment and stood up
"A-anyway! I'm gonna do my best!" she stammered, Naoto stood up as he looked at her
"Then I'll be doing my best too" he said, Ichigo smiled at him. The two looked back at the reporters and the camera and bowed
"I hope you'll keep supporting us!" they said in unison then stood straight again
"In our careers.." Naoto said as he held a hand towards Ichigo
"And in our relationship.." Ichigo continued as she took his hand, the reporters took pictures of this while a few staff clapped their hands. A girl with light purple hair who wears thin white framed glasses sniffled
"I ship!" she said in fangirl noises. The couple then made their exit hand in hand while the reporters were taking notes and pictures for their article.
In the waiting room, the couple sighed in relief, glad that it was finished. Naoto turned to Ichigo
"You did well out there" he said
"Thanks. You too" Ichigo said with a smile. The two went to get lunch then separated ways for work, Ichigo went back to her private dorm and was welcomed with all of her friends. Naoto went to the studio and was ambushed by King and Hiro, for that their practice session was extended for another hour.
It was around 10:08 pm and Ichigo was getting ready for bed. She hummed a tune while she brushed her hair just when her Aikatsu phone vibrated, she sees that it's a call from Naoto so she put her brush down and picked up the call
"Hello?" she said
"Hey Ichigo, did I disturb you or anything?" he asked
"Oh no, you didn't!" she said with a giggle
"I see. Anyway, Ichigo" Naoto said seriously as Ichigo sat straight
"Yes?" she asked waiting for Naoto to respond
"Are you free this Saturday?" he asked, his tone lighter now
"Huh? Oh, uh.. yes I am! Why?" she replied as she checked her schedule nearly dropping her brush in the process
"My parents want to meet you" he said calmly, Ichigo froze
"What?" she asked
"My parents want to meet you so I'm inviting you.. or their inviting you to have dinner with us" Naoto answered, this time Ichigo's brush fell from her hand. She quickly caught it just before it hit the floor and placed it on her desk, she stutterred and tried to form a sentence but her words and thoughts were all over the place
"Ichigo?" Naoto called making sure she was there as Ichigo stood up actively
"Yes?!" she said
"Will you come?" he asked slightly nervous, Ichigo breathed in and out
"Yep! I will!" she answered happily, Naoto's face lit up from her answer
"Okay, I'll pick you up from your dorm at around 6:00 pm. Is that okay?" he said
"Mhm!" Ichigo nodded, Naoto chuckled a bit
"Then, I'll see you. Good night" he said
"Mhm, good night" Ichigo said, the call ended and Ichigo walked to her bed, she dove in and screamed happily in her pillow. She then grew nervous for she will be meeting Naoto's parents, but regardless, she sent the news to Aoi and Ran. On Naoto's side, Tiara overheard the call and ran to the living room
"Ichigo-chan said okay!" she shouted as she and their father cheered. Naoto sighed as his mother gave him a smile.
The next day, a plane landed. Out came the passengers who traveled from America. A young teenage boy who had white hair and sky blue eyes wearing a blue and green checkered turtleneck shirt and black jeans along with black sneakers with a dark red jacket tied around his waist, he walked out of the airport dragging his luggage with him. He stopped for a bit and looked at his surroundings
"I'm home, Japan!"
Wwoooooooooooaaahhh yeeyy!! That'a done! I'm sorry I took so long in updating, I have a writers block every time when it comes to the dialogue and if ever there's a "girl with light purple hair with thin white framed glasses" or something lile that then that's me, I'mma make cameos from time to time, but regardless!
