Tris
"Tris, Tris, sweetie wake up"
"C'mon you gotta get up"
"Tobias go away" I wave my hand in the general direction of his voice, shooing him away.
"Beatrice" his warm breath send shivers down my neck.
Reluctantly I sit up pulling the blankets up with me, pulling the warmth with me.
"Tris, I have to go, but I'll be back to pick you up after work, okay?"
"Mhmm"
"Oh, two more things" he says stopping mid step
"What?"
"One, be dressed ready to go for a lot of running" he says, I wonder what we'll be doing?
"And two?"
"I love you"
"I love you too"
"See you later" before I can reply hes gone.
I slowly pull the blanket off me and walk to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and wash my face, when I look at my face in the mirror and frown. My blonde hair is a chunky mess.
I grab a brush and begin to brushes out the tangles.
"ow, ow ow" I moan to myself. I really should brush my hair more often.
"Hey Bud" I say as I walk behind the counter of the tattoo parlour.
"Hey Tris" he says his voice is deeper than usual
"Are you feelin' okay?" I say putting my hand on his forehead
He brushes it off and smiles cheesily at me "Tris I'm fine, seriouly, I just have a headache. I've been drawing to many tattoos and its finally getting to me"
"If you say so. Can I see the new sketches?" I ask curiously
"Sure" he points to the back room " they're in there"
"Thanks Bud" I say walking off
"Don't take to long were opening soon"
"Okay I won't"
I enter the room and look down at the coffee table. Bud's drawings sit there in a neat pile. The swirls were so intricate , each one perfect. I spot one with a lion with wings coming from it's back. I sigh, time to get back to work.
"They look nice Bud, I really like the one with the lion on it. Was it a special order or something?"
"Yeah" he replys "some guy wanted a lion but I thought the wings would be cool"
"okay see ya later" I start to walk away
"Tris" he says the tone of his voice is like I fogot something
"Yes...?"
"Your wokring at the counter today, remeber?"
"Oh right. Do I have to?" I've been dreading this since he told I would have to
"Yes Tris, you have to"
"Fine, see ya later"
I sigh and walk behind the counter
"Oh Tris" Bud says walking back in the room " Open the doors will ya?"
"Oh" I blush scarlet " of course"
"See you at lunch" Bud says finally going away
I open the doors "Time for another day at work"
"Bud! Tori! Lunch"
"Be right there" Bud replies
"I'm coming, I'm coming" Tori says taking her gloves off
"You guys wanna go to lunch with me?" I ask them both
"Sure, why not?" Bud says
"Sounds good"
"Okay you guys go get in line. I'll close up"
"Okay see you at lun-" before she finishes Toris' cut off by the door
I grab the keys from behind the desk and grab the sign that has a clock pointing to the two a-clock sign and says 'lung break be back at 2'.
I hang the sign on the door and walk to lunch.
