"A-are you ok, Todoroki?" You asked. Todoroki had just woken up. You two had been in an intense fight, and Todoroki had ended up being hit with the villain's Quirk. His eyes lit up, and gasped when he recognized you.
"(Y/N)! I'm so happy you're ok!" He told you, happily. "And I'm ok too, don't worry!"
"Ok, who are you, and what have you done to Todoroki." You demanded.
"Nothing! It's me (Y/N), I swear! I just feel so... different than I normally do!!" He grabbed your arm, and rubbed against it, similarly to a cat. He sighed contently, and looked up at you. "Have I ever told you how much I love you (Y/N)?"
"N... no." Despite dating Todoroki, you had never heard the words 'I love you' from him.
"Well I do! A lot! I've wanted to tell you that for so long (Y/N), but I was so scared you'd leave me at some point, so I thought it'd be better to just never say it." He explained. "But now, this sudden... burst of emotions just convinced me to tell you!"
"R-really...?"
"Yes! Now, (Y/N), when can I leave? I want to spend more time with you! I want to spend as much time with you as I possibly can while I feel this way!" He asked. "With that being said, do you want to have dinner with me when I get out of here? Like, on a date? Please?"
"Yeah, sure." You told him.
By the time Todoroki was let out, it was the day before Halloween.
As the two of you sat in the restaurant together, Todoroki brought something up.
"Hey, I don't know if I'd normally be able to tell you this, (Y/N), but your eyes look beautiful..." He said, smiling as if he were in complete bliss.
"Heheh... thanks...? Y-your eyes look good too, Todoroki." You told him, not knowing what else to say.
Usually, Todoroki was easy for you to talk to, since talking to him required little-to-no effort.
"Wouldn't it be amazing if we could just... if we could just fuse together and never have to be without each other...?"
"I-I-I don't know? Maybe?"
"I'm joking, I'm joking, obviously... because if we did that... I'd never get to see you again..."
"O-oh... that's sweet of you..."
"Not being able to see you would be it's own form of torture, (Y/N). I think I'd kill myself if anything happened to either of us that'd lead me to not being able to see you." Todoroki told you. "Like for example, if you ever died, or if I went blind after some kind of injury..."
"How would you kill yourself if you went blind, though...?" You were worried, but curious.
"Maybe I could get someone to help me. Like some kind of mercy kill, or an assisted suicide." He explained. "In fact... I think I'd ask you to kill me, (Y/N)."
"R-right..." You said, cautiously. Is this what Todoroki really felt...? "I... I have to use the bathroom, I'll be right back, Todoroki."
"Could I come with you?"
"Uh- no...????"
The next day was Halloween.
Every one in the class was dressed up.
All you did was put on one of those dumb headbands that makes it look like you'd been shot in the head with an arrow.
Todoroki and Ashido walked in together.
Ashido was wearing a costume that made it look like an alien was carrying her.
Todoroki, meanwhile, was wearing his normal school uniform, but it looked like he had just killed someone.
His face looked like he'd been crying all night long, and there were bloodstains on his face as well.
"Good morning (Y/N)!!" He greeted you. "Ashido helped me with this, she's really good at make up!"
"Well, I wouldn't say I'm really good, but if you're offering a compliment...." She said, smiling.
"Dumbasses, all of you." Bakugou angrily said. "What if we have an emergency drill? You guys are gonna have a hard time getting out of those dumb costumes and into your Hero outfits."
"I can assure you there will be no emergency drills today." Aizawa said, coming out of nowhere in his sleeping bag. "Even I'm participating today. Only because Eri wanted me to." He unzipped his sleeping bag, revealing his glorious butterfly costume. "She said that my sleeping bag looked like a cocoon."
You tried your best to not laugh during class.
At lunch, you approached Shinsou, just to see if he was wearing what you thought he was.
You were right.
Shinsou was wearing a cat onesie. One of the ones where the hood has cat ears.
"Hey, Shinsou, I-" You wanted to talk with him, but someone suddenly pulled you backwards.
"(Y/N)!"
"Yes Todoroki?" He suddenly laughed. It was strange to hear.
"Can you come outside with me for a second~?"
"U-um, sure...!"
Todoroki brought you outside the school, to an area he was sure no one would see the two of you.
"(Y/N), I know we're only second-year students, but... with what happened yesterday, I realized just how much I can't live without you." He told you.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
Todoroki pulled something out of the front pocket of his school uniform.
A ring.
"(Y/N)... will you marry me...?"
"WHAT?! NO, THAT'S INSANE!" You yelled.
"(Y/N), please... just say yes."
"No, I'm not old enough to get married!"
"That doesn't matter. I know full well that there are perfectly legal ways that us, only being seventeen, can get married. So (Y/N), I ask you again... will you marry me."
"N-no. I already said no."
"JUST SAY YES (Y/N)! IS SAYING THE WORD YES SO HARD FOR YOU?! IT'S JUST THREE LETTERS!" Todoroki yelled. He grabbed your arm tightly with his right hand, which quickly started getting colder.
"Get off me!"
"Please, (Y/N)... I'll die without you... you know I will... I don't want to freeze your arm off... that'll hurt me so much... so just... say yes."
"Stop..." You said. Your eyes started watering. "I love you, but..."
"If you love me, then marry me."
"NO!"
Ice started to grow on the arm he was holding you by.
"I don't want to do this, (Y/N). It's just one word. Say it, and I won't have to do this..."
That was when you hesitantly told him...
"Ok... yes. I... I'll marry you, Todoroki..."
He looked happy, got rid of the ice, and slid the engagement ring on your finger.
He's probably just doing this because the effects of whatever he'd been hit with.
Once the effects wear off, he'll realize how crazy what he just did was.
