they don't know.
they didn't know that they slept by mistake.
of course, Demo would be the one to wake up.
she blinked to regain vision.
the rain has faded away, but the sky is still grey.

Sarah was sitting by Burt and Sven, who were still together like magnets.
Demo just decided to let them be.
but she glared at Sven.
although, after she learned that he's the third in command, she though that it was all a trick of some sort.
but it was never true.
how did Burt able to pull this off?
how was he able to become friends with Sven, and fall in love with him a few days later?
guess it's trust.
she let out a sigh, shaking her head.
it worthless.
by how many times Demo have hated Sven with all her gut, Burt didn't seem to care at all.
he was always by Sven, but never noticed Demo's actions.

at least sometimes.
it kind of reminded her why she shouldn't trust Sven at all.
maybe it's because they got into a fight once or twice.
before all of this happened, of course.
it broke them both, they haven't talked to each other for about two days until Sven gave up on being mad at Burt of a long period of time.
then, it went back to normal.
but during those two days, Burt never seemed to talk to anybody.
did it include Demo as well? yes! it did.
he was quiet.
too quiet.
maybe he lost his voice while screaming at Sven.
but it was an unknown reason why they were fighting.
Demo thought real hard about it.
she tried to talk to Burt on why they were mad at each other.
he just clearly answered with: "nothing important. that's all"
then he brushed it off.
Demo is rather thinking on talking with it on Sven.
but it been so long since they fought, she bet that they don't even remember on why.
guess she never know.
only god will know, that's for sure.
Demo keeps on spacing out about these two.

Sarah scooted towards Demo, feeling like if she want to move her butt from sitting in one spot for too long.
"D-Demo?" she whispered, poking her ear.
Demo looked at Sarah, she doesn't want to be touched right now.
"oh hey, Sarah. what are you doing here... awake." she asked, clearly trying on to raise her voice in front of Sarah.
or she'll wake up Burt or Sven.
or maybe both of them will wake up on cue.
"e-e-eh. i'm tired of staying in one spot." answered Sarah.
is her voice even getting better?
do they have to take her to the hospital?
well, if anyone saw Sarah, they'll freak out and call the police, no doubt.
they both heard a soft groan, and turned to Sven and Burt.
Burt moved a bit, having a look of fear on his face.
"oh shit." Demo whispered.
Sarah looked confused, she doesn't get it.
Sarah, it been a 6 or 7 weeks and you still don't get it?!

Demo got out of the cave.
where the fuck is she going?!
Sarah looked at Burt and watched his movements.
he looked scared, starting to shake.
he started to tug on Sven's shirt sleeve.
waking him up.
"Burt?" Sven whispered, forcing his eyes to open up.
he felt Burt tremble, still sleeping.
tears were spilt out of his eyes as he kept on saying Sven's name on repeat.
Sven felt the tears soak on his clothes.
why now?
he's was doing fine day ago..

Demo came back, with something in her mouth.
she placed it next to Burt, getting a seed out of the plant.
one or two seeds will be enough.
"w-what are you doing?" Sarah asked and Sven just kept quiet.
the seeds looked like normal seeds..
"hey, you two. cover your noses." she ordered.
Sarah and Sven covered their noses, still confused.
Demo opened the seed, releasing a strong scent into the air.
Burt started coughing as he smelled it, his grip on Sven's arm went tighter the more he coughed.
then Burt passed out due to the strong scent.
Demo had Sven and Sarah to get out, as if this has happened before.
they uncovered their noses, looking at each other confused.
Demo walked out, knowing that Sarah or Sven is gonna question her.
not surprising.
"Demo, what was that about?!" Sven shouted.
"calm down idiot, all i did was release a strong scent to calm Burt down." she explained.
Sven looked at her and shook his head.
"but why?"
"my god! there is no way his fears are gonna end and i had to do something, i couldn't just let Burt suffer right there! i found this plant and it would calm him down from those dreams! that's why he was okay days ago, why? BECAUSE I PUT THE DAMN PLANT ON HIM TO STOP IT, GOD DAMNIT SVEN." she screamed.
Sven and Sarah blinked twice at that.
but she just couldn't keep doing that.
it was bad for Burt's lungs.
or he'll die.
he's just gonna have to relax himself.
Sven walked back into the cave, the smell was gone.
thanks to Demo's preach or something.
Sven walked towards Burt who was sleeping just fine.
he fluttered his eyes open, blinking the remaining tears away form his eyes.
"Sven?"
"hm?"
they both looked at each like if they never saw each other in 5 years.
"are you okay?" Sven asked, sitting down next to Burt.
"yeah.. why?" Burt turned his gaze at Sven.
he wanted to tell Burt what happened but Demo was glaring at him.
what he wanted to do was a death wish.
"eh, no reason. i was just worried"
"since when were such a worrisome person?" Burt asked, laughing a bit.
"uhh, when was i not?" Sven chuckled, nervously.
Demo wanted the best for Burt and so does Sven.
but those dreams will get off on their own, what Demo's doing is non-sense.
but eh.
she cares and soon she'll realize.
it's okay..
for now at least.
Sven got Burt out of the dark cave.
they continued going forward, no regret.
Sarah kept on feeling the drops of rain falling into her hair.
and it's annoying her.
Demo kept on thinking on what she said.
'i do want the best for him, this is what i need to do. right? hmm.. maybe not' Demo thought to herself.
she shook her head and blinked.
then she brushed off the bushes and saw a sidewalk.
a fucking sidewalk
she walked on it, leading Sven, Burt and Sarah.
where the fuck are they?
they are in California.

"well.. we are where?" Sven asked.
he doesn't give a shit about the us map.
not at all.
Burt looked at Sarah and opened one of the bags that Sarah was holding all this time.
he took out a spare sweater and puts it on Sarah.
once she had it on, he pulled up the hoodie and it covered her face.
but she could see.
"what are you doing?" Demo asked.
"Sarah's a sprit, and if anyone saw her, they'll freak out and shit in their pants" Burt answered.
Demo didn't know that Burt will cuss anyone out when needed.
this, is not one of those times, Burt!
Burt sighed as he looked around.
he felt like this was so..
familiar..
he brushed the feeling off.
"we'll stay here for now.." Demo whispered.
they didn't quite catch that but whatever.
Demo shapeshifted into a puppy.
Sven picked her up, but she started barking.
Demo doesn't want to be carried by Sven.
to avoid being scratched, Sven placed Demo back on the sidewalk.
this time, Burt picked her up and Demo was settled.
Sven sighed and laughed it off, Demo hates him bad.
Sarah finally felt... happy.
since in a long time, 20 years to be in fact.
Sarah been so damn lonely.
until she met these three of course.
it been a long damn way, i guess..
yeah.
they should be able to rest for awhile.
for now.
