Over the next couple of weeks you still hadn't spoken to Fred or Charlotte at all. While walking the halls you occasionally could hear one of them following you close by calling your name, but you never stopped.
You had begun hanging out with Cedric and Cho more often, she was a lot nicer than you had thought. You needed a girl to hang around with once in a while, boys could sometimes be a bit much to always be around.
You were however still quite close with Adrian you still ate most of your meals together and he would make you go to the library with him to get some new books every once in a while.
You'd be lying if you were to say you didn't miss your group heavily but you couldn't sit around and act as if he didn't use you. Maybe you were overreacting but no one plays with a Bardot and doesn't face the consequences.
Defence against the Dark arts was the most awkward lesson, you didn't just sit near Fred but directly next to him. After your first lesson- after the incident- you decided to ask Moody if you could switch places. He allowed it. Fred now sat with Marcus and you sat with Adrian.
In potions you just spoke to Lee, George and occasionally Angelina. They all knew something, Angelina more than the rest, but no one really seemed like they wanted to know.
You were currently sitting with Cho and Cedric in the great hall during lunch.
"Honestly, the Easter break isn't too far away. I don't know what I'm going to do." You told them.
"Why don't you just stay round mine?" Cho asked.
"Cho thank you! Thank you! And you sure your parents won't mind?" You asked.
"I mean I will have to check. Sometimes they can be fine but sometimes they can be a bit hard on me, so I'll let you know ASAP." She told you.
"If not there's always my place, my father loves you and I'm sure my mum would too." Cedric said.
"Honestly, as long as I'm not a burden to anyone's family's I really don't mind. If not I could always stay here. I mean I know a few people are." You admitted.
"But where's the fun in that. What do you have after lunch anyways?" Cedric questioned.
"I think I have transfiguration and potions, then study hall." You said.
"Hey y/n, can I talk to you."
"Georgie. Of course. I'll see you later guys." You stood from your seat and followed George out to a bench in the courtyard.
"Y/n, are you okay? Fred literally will not tell me why you don't sit with us but it's clear he knows. And you won't say anything. But it's been weeks I miss you there." George told you.
"Aw Georgie, I'm sorry. I can't hang around with you all anymore. I miss it too. But things are different now." You replied.
"So you won't say either. It's killing me y/n. At least tell me who your mad at, because I know your mad."
"I'm mad at your inconsiderate brother and his heedless girl toy Charlotte." Why should you protect them. George should at least know that you're angry at them. And have a slight sense of direction as to why.
"Oh god, what did they do?"
"Don't worry yourself George. I have to go back. And I wish things were different." You stood up and walked back through the castle.
Your transfiguration class went quite quickly, you were perfecting things you weren't able to do very well over the past year so far. It was now time for you to go to potions.
"Adrian wait up!" You shouted slightly running with Adrian to get to your potions class. You latched onto his arm, "I was thinking, you and I could sneak out to Hogsmeade this weekend. I'm dying for a butterbeer, plus we leave for Easter in like a week so, please." You begged tugging his arm slightly.
"Fine, I'll go. But how will we sneak out?" He asked, as you entered the classroom.
"Adrian, come on now. I know my way in and out this castle with my eyes closed. I'll come find you on Saturday." You told him letting go of his arm.
"Great, I'll see you then." He then went off to his table.
You smiled and turned to take your seat. Your whole group were all already there, watching as you walked over to take your seat.
"Hey y/n." Lee said, smiling awkwardly as you sat.
You smiled back and completely brushed past Fred, who you could tell was dying to make eye contact.
"Now, this class today will be easy for you. IF you finished all your homework. I need it all done and caught up on by Tuesday. If you have done all your essays feel free to tutor anyone or catch up on what you haven't done from your other lessons. And if you haven't done it all, I suggest you make a start, or face the consequences." Snape said to the class.
You had luckily finished all your homework for Snape, and done some of his extra credit- since you spent most of your time hidden in your room to avoid Charlotte and Fred from trying to apologise. You had also though finished all your other work. Leaving you with nothing. You decided to go up to Snape and ask for some ideas of what to do.
"Sir, I have done all my work. Is there any chance you know anything I can do, or improve or anything." You said to him.
"Not that I can think of Miss Bardot. Your work is all outstanding. Surprisingly." He replied.
"Why surprisingly?" You questioned.
"You sit with those hooligans that never do any work." He pointed with his quill over to Your table.
As you turned you saw everyone laughing and Charlotte whispering something into Fred's ear. You found yourself breathing heavily again, filling with anger. He's not sorry. He won't ever be sorry. You saw them both look up as their faces dropped. Fred looked deep into your eyes. Begging for forgiveness, you just turned back sharply to Snape, "may I go use the bathroom."
You decided it would be best to leave the classroom for just five minutes to compose yourself. All the emotions came back as you saw them laughing and whispering to each other. You began to tear up ever so slightly, as you felt anger flowing up your body. You breathed in and out to try and calm yourself down.
"Y/n.. please don't run."
"Fred go away, now is not the time." You felt an immense amount of pressure around your body, the same feeling you felt when you sent Charlotte flying across the hall.
"Now is the time, please."
No matter how much you hated him, you didn't want to hurt him.
"Fred just go!" You said, slightly more emotion coming out as you gripped onto a wall.
"Are you okay?" You could hear Fred getting closer.
"Why won't you just listen to me." You turned, you felt the force leave you- but Fred stayed in his place.
"Your eyes, why are they so.. black?" He said moving in to touch your face. You slapped his hand away and turned walking to the closest bathroom as quick as you could.
As you entered you went straight towards the mirror, you saw your eyes had become practically bloodshot and your pupils took up nearly your whole eye. I'm going to have to ask Dumbledore about this.
After some breathing exercises your eyes returned to normal. And you went back to your class.
"Miss Bardot you took a while."
"I'm sorry sir." You just walked in with your head held low walking back to your seat.
As you sat you put your head in your hands and actually comprehended you spoke to Fred. This wasn't in your intentions. You wanted to ignore him for as long as possible. You decided if now it would be best for you to scurry out of your lessons to avoid talking to him at all, and avoiding any attempts he makes completely.
Soon your class was over and you had to sit in the study hall. You didn't have any work to catch up on so you sat and read by yourself a few seats down from the rest of the group.
You occasionally looked up to see Fred and the rest of the group working. You missed it. But things were different now. Fred fucked up. He used you.
One time when you looked over you noticed he was too. You made eye contact with him, showing your ongoing disappointment with him, as he showed some sort of guilt while also studying you.
You decided to just get up and leave the study hall early, and wait to go back down for dinner.
