'It.. It k-kicked the wall?'
A gush of powerful wind knocked down the rest of the people in the area that were lucky enough to not get hit by the boulders. You look up to see Eren and Mikasa run towards the wall, leaving Armin behind.
'What are they thinking, they need to go the other way!'
You hoist yourself up again, the flower still in the grasp of your hand. You looked down at it and was hit by a sudden realization.
'Wait! Mom and dad! Where are they? Are they still in the house?'
Your heart started beating harder and faster, and it felt like it was going to jump out of your chest.
'I need to find them!'
Your legs reacted before you could even collect your thoughts and they lead you towards your home. You ran inside and screamed out for them but got no response.
'Looks like they aren't here...'
You exhaled, relieved that they were not so close to the wall when it was breached, however, the relief quickly turned into anxiousness as you realized; If they were not here then they must be outside, and that makes them so much harder to find.
"TITANS ARE WALKING IN THROUGH THE HOLE!", you heard a man scream from outside your home. "EVERYBODY, GET AWAY FROM THE WALLS!".
You took a quick breath as you ran towards the door, leaving your home behind. You followed the crowds of screaming families. Children like yourself separated from their loved ones, as well as adults in hysteria, desperately trying to help their families get to safety.
In a moment of pure curiosity, you dared look behind you, and that's when I saw them. You got a proper good look at the terrifyingly, ugly faces of the titans- humanity's enemy. Some of them already had their mouths full of screaming people. Your heart sank at the sight and you felt like throwing up.

On your way over a little bridge, you crashed into a man, walking peacefully but firmly in the opposite direction of everyone else. He grabbed your shoulders, violently shaking them as he continued preaching the ways of the "holy walls".
'Really, this had to happen right now?'
You struggled in his grasp, trying to shake him off as he continued screaming prayers in your face, spit leaving his mouth like a fountain. That is when a huge shadow surrounded the both of you. You looked over to your right, your gaze connecting with two eyes the size of a football.
Your body tensed up, small stuttering sounds coming out of your mouth. You couldn't even scream. The man holding you lost his grasp of your shoulders when the titan picked him up. The titan bit the upper half of his body clean off, his screams and prayers coming to an abrupt halt. The man's blood splattered everywhere, covering your previously light blue dress in a coat of red, as well as the ends of your hair.
You wasted no time and started running while the titan was still occupied with what was left of the man. The constant sound of people screaming and dying around you made your ears ring. You were exhausted, but had to keep on pushing forwards, towards the entrance to Wall Maria.
'Mom, dad... Please be on the other side already'.
As you finally reached the entrance and the other side of Wall Maria, you stopped to catch your breath. Your lungs were burning, and you struggled to breathe. You crouched down, noticing that you still had the flower in your hand.
'Mom. I am going to give this to you even if it's the last thing I do.'
You continued running towards the boats. You still had quite the distance to cover to get there, and you could see the hundreds of people desperately trying to secure a spot on the boats.
"Y/N!!", you heard a familiar voice yell. Your heart started beating faster as you felt the feeling of relief and happiness spread throughout your body.
"Mom! Dad!", you screamed happily.
"Oh, I am glad you are safe!", your mom hugged you, your dad doing the same.
They took a quick but good look at the state of you, your blood-soaked dress making them worried.
"Are you hurt? We have to get out of here, quickly!", your dad said as they both turned around, your mom holding your hand tight. You started to make a run for the boats when the ground shook violently again. You all turned around to see what had happened, and that's when you noticed a giant boulder coming straight in your direction.
Everything happened so quickly.
You only managed to turn your head towards your parents, and saw your dad already moving towards you, pushing you out of the way. You fell heavily on the ground and hit your head. All you could hear were screams of pain as your eyesight darkened.

You slowly opened your eyes, confused for a second as to why you were on the ground. You slowly but surely took in your surroundings, putting the pieces together. You look over to the spot your parents were standing not even a half a minute ago. Your ears were ringing, the big boulder in front of you earning your full attention. You barely even noticed someone grabbing your hand, pulling you along with them in a haste. Your eyes finally broke free from the large rock and found their way over to two glowing, yellow eyes in front of where the entrance gate once was. The titan had broad muscles and something that looked like some sort of armour, covering its body.
"Hey, we have to hurry over to the boats!". You quickly turned your head towards the source of the voice. The person holding your hand was a Garrison soldier. You had never seen him before, and you could see he was struggling to get you to follow him.
You looked down at the flower, still placed in your firm hand, its name carrying a deeper meaning now. You could feel the soldier tugging your hand again, refusing to leave you behind, however becoming more desperate by the second. You swiftly place the flower down by the boulder, keeping the promise you made yourself and your mom by doing so. You felt your feet move again, following a relieved soldier towards the boats.

The boat ride was quiet, nobody wanting to ruin the peace that had settled once the boat was out of range from the disaster that used to be your home. Occasional sounds of crying and groans of pain became less by the hour.
"I'm gonna put a stop to this!", you heard a voice full of pain and determination say. Looking over to your right you see Eren. "I'll kill them all! Every last one of them!", he continued, tears streaming down his face. Armin and Mikasa stood behind him, looking worried.
Something started to form in you as you listened to his words. A feeling of guilt and hatred. Whenever you blinked, all you could see what that last titan. That terrifyingly strong titan with shining eyes, dashing through the wall... Killing your parents...
You look down at the hand you had held the flower in. Tears started falling from your eyes, hitting the palm of you hand. You closed your hand forming a fist, the feeling of determination taking over your body.
'Don't worry mom and dad. I will do anything in my power to rid the world of that disgusting killer. The armoured titan will be no more...'

If any of you have played the AOT 2 game you might recognize some of the events happening to Y/N. I took inspiration from the game as i think it is something different than the usual 'parents get eaten by titans' (Without trying to sound like that isn't terrible enough haha)
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, we are coming closer to the start of the 104th cadet corps era<3 I'm excited! Since i haven't started on those chapters yet it might take some days to finish, so stay tuned!
