That was fun to watch! By the time I publish
this you may or may not notice that the book that was up for the event is now gone.
It was a bit close but the winner for the event was this book. I wasn't that surprised but it wasn't like I didn't get surprised either.
I haven't been updating this book much so I thought I might be boring you all with it, which is what caused this short event to commence.
I love writing but I had lost interest in this book, finding it hard to write (around) 2,000+ words for each chapter. However, something changed.
When I was writing the new chapter in this book (at the beginning of the event) I ended up having fun while writing it. Yeah, some parts were more boring than others, and other parts made me deeply want to go back to the first chapter and rewrite some stuff.
My Yandere Girlfriend is.. jokingly—at best—a half-bit fanfiction. It's how I feel about it. There are some scenes that I like but most of them I don't.
There are so many errors and loose ends in that book that make me cringe in embarrassment. It makes me wonder how it's almost at 21K reads already.
I feel the same way for this book. The character development isn't as bad as My Yandere Girlfriend but it still isn't anywhere near as 'good' as I want it to be.
I tend to lose focus and forget things like character development and a character's distinct personality. I don't know whether something is too dramatic or anticlimactic, and it's difficult for me to notice if they are or aren't. The only times I notice is when I go back and read them for some other reason.
I don't like changing things in the past. Which is why I've left the first chapter/chapters alone. I feel like doing so would take something special away from it.
The beginning chapters are laughable. Random characters have random connections with Y/n and some scenes just don't make sense.
I'm a harsh critic, even more so on myself. But when I see you all enjoying my work for what it is, despite the many flaws I see in it. This makes me want to leave it alone and just ignore it, it makes me want to put more effort into future chapters.
I apologize for going on such a rant, however I felt the need to do so. It gives me a chance to explain myself in more clearer detail.
I enjoy writing and love when people choose to comment or follow me. 21K feels like such a humongous number, and almost 100 followers feels like something that can only be in a dream.
Don't hold back on constructive criticism. It makes me so happy when I get one since it tells me what I should improve on that I might've missed the first time around.
Although my post schedule may be sloppy and my chapters might not make sense at times. I hope you'll continue to read my stories.
