Hey hey

                            ~Thinking~

The warm colour of the sun layered on top of Athea's skin, ridding of the coldness she once felt when she first entered the fresh, brisk air. The morning was new—an unknown day had started and the young girl had decided to visit her sisters grave.

The graveyard was a place Athea had never liked going to, the death that surrounded the grounds was unsettling and disturbing. There were some gravestones that were toppled over—the people they belonged to uncared for and long forgotten. But, Athea never would let that happen to Robin's.

Everytime she would visit where her sister's soul lay she would always bring a bouquet of flowers with her. They would always be a specific batch of flowers, Robin's favourites—the middlemist red. It was also known as the rarest flower in the world.

Luckily, Athea had free access to the uncommon plant, there was a spot just far off her manor where a meadow of middlemist flowers scattered across the surface. No other wizarding family knew about this hidden gathering of rose-like beauty's—the two sisters had put up a protection spell when they were just young to stop prying eyes from seeing what they called theirs.

It was their own special secret.

Oh, how Athea missed her dear sister. Their relationship was like no other, without Robin by Athea's side, growing up she was certain she wouldn't have survived the torture their parents put Athea through. The young witch was sure that she would be the one to give up and end what she saw as a hell of a life—but instead it was the only person she ever truly loved.

She wondered what her life would be like if Robin was still alive. The older sister would have definitely made Athea realise the cruel relationship she was trapped in earlier, hell, Robin might have went and killed the boy herself. She always had a strong character.

When Athea had finally come across her sisters gravestone her brows edged down into a furrow. Her head turned to take in her surroundings, inspecting the area for movement. Bewildered, she looked back down at the aready placed bouquet of middlemist flowers.

She took a weary step forward, her black, leather material boots pressed against the grains of freshly drained of dirt—Athea's hair was slightly wet from the rain that accompanied her visit, but it had finally started to calm down into a calm drizzle. When she overlooked the eye catching plants she became dumbfounded when they were exactly like the ones gathered in her hand, Robin's favourites.

Just then, she heard a twig snap from behind her.

Athea spun around, her eyes did a double take when she recognised the boy standing a few good feet away from her. It took a moment for her to take him in, but she knew he was not a threat when she concluded that it was Neville Longbottom.

"Neville?" Athea questioned, with a raised brow. She was not very close with the gryffindor boy, they were in the same year, yes, but the two of them had never been properly acquainted. "What are you doing here?"

Neville balanced nervously on one foot to the other, looking down at the ground. "I'm visiting someone."

Athea couldn't help but question, "who?"

He looked up at Athea and then the grave she stood next to, his chest becoming tight as he read the name engraved on the grey stone. "Your sister," he walked over to Athea until he was by her side. "I came here to visit Robin."

"What?" She questioned again, glancing back at her sister's grave while her mind began to fog with confusion. "You knew her?"

Neville let a small smile turn his lips upwards before looking at Athea. "Yeah, I guess you could say that."

Athea noticed a trickle of sadness in his voice, and she wondered if it could have been greif, maybe. When Neville looked back down at the tombstone his eyes clouded with small specs of water, and that's what confirmed it to Athea.

"You were close with her?" She asked, spotting a pink petal on his wool jumper.

Neville played with his fingers, needed something to distract himself from the present, difficult conversation. "I am, was—" he took a breath, closing his eyes and imagining her face. "She was my girlfriend."

Athea's eyes instantly widened, her lips parting to let out a silent gasp. This was—she...what? This was completely unheard of, Athea had never known Robin and Neville were even aware of each others existence, never mind being in a relationship with each other.

Her sister was a year above Athea and Neville, this was becoming more and more confusing as she thought on. Robin never told her anything about Neville, why would she do that?

"I—I don't understand." She said in a quiet voice, looking down at her boots with a thinking face. "How did you even know each other?"

Neville turned his head away from Athea to swipe away a tear that had fallen from his stinging eyes. He let out a sigh before explaining. "We met 4 months before her...death," he was silent for a moment. "It was the start of 4th year and she was reading one of my favourite herbology books, I had been waiting weeks for her to return it as you could only check out a book for just over a week, but she just kept it for however long her wanted." Neville let out a chuckle and I smiled at my sisters mischievous manner.

"I finally plucked up the courage to ask her for it, she was really pretty so I was obviously to nervous to approach her earlier," He laughed a little louder this time. "When I asked her for it she simply said, 'well, this is my third time reading it this week and I don't intend on giving it back any time soon, so why don't you read it with me?' and that's when it all started."

Athea could imagine her sister saying that, clearly envision the smirk on her face while saying it to a shy gryffindor boy. Thea couldn't help but chuckle.

Neville wiped his nose with his thumb, smiling down at his long-lost-lovers tomb who he missed so dearly. She was the only one who never treated him like he was weak, never thought of him as someone who was useless and unworthy.

"I miss her." Whispered Athea, blinking down at the floor—the drops of rain started to pick up again, so Neville cast a spell to stop the now two bouquet of flowers from becoming wet.

Although Neville wasn't necessarily close with the slytherin girl, he still thought it would be good to comfort her, so he conjured an invisible umbrella with his wand and handed it to Athea. He knew he shouldn't touch her without permission, Neville was aware if how the two sisters were treated when growing up, the thought made him grimace.

Athea took the umbrella, thanking him quietly as the two of them stood in the pouring rain, looking down at the soul the witch and wizard missed so, so much.

But, they both knew that she was never coming back—and the concept sunk their hearts.

*****

The slytherin boy and the ravenclaw girl were an unlikely couple. At first sight, you wouldn't pair the two of them together, they were complete opposites. That's why when Athea watched Blaise and Luna in the corner of her eye she couldn't help but smile. She had never had a one-to-one conversation with Lovegood, but she did know the younger girl had a unique personality. She observed the two students, taking note of the rose colour that spread across Blaise's cheeks and nose when Luna placed stickers onto his fingers—smiling while doing so.

She also noticed how Blaise would sneak small glances at the blonde ravenclaw as she spoke to him, while she still decorated his hands. Everytime Luna would glance back up at him his eyes would retreat to somewhere else—Athea grinned.

"Them two look like they're getting along." Athea struck her head forward to face Theodore Nott who sat opposite her at the slytherin table. "About time he started talking to her, he's had a crush on her for the past year."

"Wait, what?" Athea asked, she had never heard anything of this—she knew that Blaise was sort of shy when it came to real romance, but he could have talked to her.

"Don't get to paranoid." Theo chuckled and pulled the book Athea was reading from underneath her arms. "He didn't say anything to me, it was just kind of obvious."

Was she really that clueless? She must of not been paying enough attention to her friends and their social lives. Athea felt slightly guilty—but as she looked back at Blaise and Luna, she could clearly see how drawn he was to her. Not only by the charming smile on his lips, but that glisten in his eye as he watched her.

When Athea returned her eyes to Theo she could see his focus wasn't here either, he was staring off at the gryffindor table, curious. She turned her body around to search who he could possibly be looking at, and then when she noticed Lee Jorden staring back at Theo with a cheeky grin—she caught on.

Was everyone in a relationship? What had she missed, she had been trapped in that awful bubble with Nolan for so long that she had never really played attention to how other people's lives were. She had been missing out on so much, and as she watched the looks Theo sent Lee and Blaise sent Luna—she couldn't help but feel jealous. Her and Nolan had that once, a very long time ago—back when things were more simple. But that life was now ancient, there would be dramatic changes coming to the wizarding world soon, and Athea knew she would be forced on the wrong side if it.

"I heard about what Malfoy did to Nolan again." Theo tore his eyes away from Lee and slipped through Athea's book. "Them two really loathe each other, don't they?"

"Mhm" Athena hummed and started eating her dinner, she was slowly finding it easier to eat the more she tried. Today, for dinner, she had settled on a small bowl of pasta.

"I don't blame Malfoy, though. Nolan's turned into a real jerk ever since he took that mark."

Athea's fork stopped just a few inches from her mouth, her eyes shot to Theo. He had said it so casually, like it was just common—and plus, hoe had he know about Nolan's dark mark.

Theo chuckled without looking at Athea, he continued to flick through the book. "You might want to close your mouth Thea, you know what they say—the wind could blow and you'll be stuck like that or some shit."

"How did you know about that?" She asked, placing her fork down and looking at Theo with wide, curious eyes.

"The wind thing, oh, you know—just got told it and your jaw would have been stuck like that forever, so just consider me your Knight in shining armour-"

"The mark, Theo." Athea said in a quiet voice, glaring at the slytherin.

Theo chuckled and closed the book. "My father is a death eater, you know. I basically hear everything that relates to you-know-who." He shrugged and began to stand from his seat.

Her mouth stayed open, jaw hanging while she continued to stare, dumbfounded at Theo—how did he say everything so casually?

Theo smirked and placed his thumb under Athea's jaw, pushing it up to close her mouth. "I'm taking this book, by the way!" He called as he hurried out of the great hall before she could protest.

Athea continued to gape at her fellow classmates, she wondered what might lay behind those many smiles and laughs. She was excellent at hiding what was truly troubling her, others might be doing the same. But, as she watched the few couples in the great hall, she couldn't force the jealousy that joined her. She longed to have what some of these people had—she had it once, yes, but that soon turned into a battle. She wanted someone to love her, really love her for who she was and not her body.

Athea shook her head, she would rather not think about what was almost impossible to happen—she could only ever dream.

As Thea began to pack up her belongings and stand from the slytherin table, she felt a push to her shoulder which caused her to stumble the slightest bit. When she turned around with a scowl, her eyes met the dirty look Lavender Brown was sending her as the gryffindor walked past. The slytherin rolled her eyes and continued to leave the great hall—she knew that Brown wouldn't be happy that Nolan was stuck in the hospital wing, but if she was being honest, she couldn't give one single fuck.

As Athea began to walk to her next lesson she felt a hand grip her wrist and a tug on her stomach, in a blink of an eye she was apparated to a dorm, but it wasn't her dorm. She wiped around, about to scold the person for making her late to her next class but stopped the moment Draco stood infront of her.

"I need to talk to you." His expression showed a sense of seriousness as he spun around to stride to his desk. He roughly picked up a piece of parchment and returned to where Athea stood. She could detect distress in his movements and she wondered what was effecting him so much. It had been just over a week since their previous intimate interaction, they couldn't seem to find themselves alone together, mostly because of their friends need of attention, exams and that blasted Umbridge and her inquisitorial squad.

There had been suspicions about groups of people breaking one of the many rules the new defense against the dark arts professor had put in place, and she was determined to expose them. Athea remembered when Draco had spotted students in the hallways and then how they had mysteriously disappeared, many other members had reported the same thing.

"Do you know anything about this?" He pushed the paper towards her, urging her to read what seemed to be a letter written on it.

While Athea was suspicious as to why this would include her, she still took the note from Draco's grasp to proceed to read the words inked onto the rich parchment.

Draco,

I will not be present for the next four months, as you know the dark lord has assigned me and a few other death eaters a task and I will not return to the manor until it has been completed.

Keep your grades up and keep in contact with your mother, I feel that she will need a lot of support at this given time.

-Your father

"I don't see how this concerns me, it's about your father, is it not?" Athea handed the paper back to Draco.

Draco rolled his eyes before scrunching it up and throwing it the bin. He threaded his fingers through his hair and let out a sigh. "It is, but I just wanted to know if you knew anything about it? I know that Hawk took the mark a few months back, so I thought you'd know something."

"Well, when we were still...together," Athea turned her head to the side for a moment to break their eye contact. "He erm, he was always busy on some sort of task you-know-who had him working on."

Draco stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Is that all you know?" He asked.

"Yes, it is."

He thoroughly nodded, Athea could tell that whatever meds his father had gotten himself into was getting to Draco much more than she expected. What made her even more confused was if Nolan and Lucius were taking part in the same mission, what was you-know- who up to?

"Is that all you wanted me for?" She asked him, silently hoping that he would give her some form of touch or embrace, it wasn't common now for the to be alone with each other.

Draco walked over to his desk as he planted into his seat to begin to write a letter back to his father. "Yeah, thank you." He muttered.

Athea felt a slight tug at her heart, he seemed so stiff, so cold with her today. She would have been thankful for even just a kiss—but was she being pathetic? Just because he pleasured her and had his fingers inside her doesn't mean that he would act as if they were a couple, right? She didn't know what they were and she certainly didn't want to ask. The amount of embarrassment that would come from the stupid question would be humiliating. She didn't want to ruin what they already had, whatever it was, and she definitely didn't want to scare him off.

She was used to depending on someone, she depended on Nolan for a long time and when that finally ended, she needed to find someone else to lean on. Draco was there, and he was willing to help her get back to to where she used to be. Now Athea relied on him, but she needed to be extra careful not to come of as too needy. That was one of the reasons why Nolan acted like he did, and Athea did not want Draco to be the same—she be dammed if that happened.

"Avalon." His voice tore her mind away from her tower of thoughts. She lifted her head to look at Draco as he quickly dotted an 'i' on the letter before placing his quill down and turning on his chair to face her.

"I can practically hear your head thinking, now come here already." He stood and motioned with his fingers for her to walk up to him.

Athea obliged and nervously chewed her bottom lips as she took small steps towards Draco. Once she reached him and he towered over her she kept her eyes downcast, hesitant to meet his stare.

A finger ducked underneath her chin and lifted her head up gently until she finally reached his silver eyes. Draco leaned forward and met her lips in a soft and sensual touch, sucking ever so lightly as he stole a small taste of her. She kissed him back with the same tender kiss and they let their lips linger for a moment before he slowly pulled away.

Her eyes fluttered back open to catch his smug smirk. "Does that answer your many questions?"

Athea bit back a smile and nodded, he ran his thumb over her bottom lip and dazed at her. "Go on, I believe that my selfishness has caused you to be late for class."

She laughed before bringing his hand away from her lips. "I have a feeling that will be happening a lot lately." She teased.

Draco raised a brow at her boldness and licked his lips while looking at her from head to toe. "I think you might be just right." He smirked and sent her a seductive wink.

Athea couldn't rid of her smile as she left Draco's dorm, she found herself becoming excited for the things Draco would teach her in the future.

She would have to let herself only imagine what things he would do to her for now.
