It was another day at school, it have been a couple of days ago when Sakura defeated Mr.Kay in a duel, stopping him from releasing a virus under Terror-Byte influence, only to show Crashbug, wanting to show his students a good time. Now they're inside the school classroom
"Astral?"
"Yep. That's what he says he wants me to call him". Yuma said as he point at the empty air next to Bronk as the five of them are standing around the dueling quad.
Both Bronk and Tori look where Yuma's pointing at, dismayed; they still don't see anything.
"And he's here now." Bronk asked him
"Yep. He doesn't know who he is or where he come from. What he is or what is his purpose in the first place," Sakura said. "Or do he have a family" she added on
"Of course he's here, Bronk, he's here all the time." Yuma said as in his vision, Astral is hovering right next to Bronk; Yuma quickly turns away, remarking pointedly. "And to be honest, it can quite awkward, 'specially when I wake up with him hovering over me."
Speaking of people hovering creepily over him, Yuma doesn't notice that someone by the name of Flip is watching him from the top of a nearby stair.
"Duel time."
"And another thing...keep it down when I'm sleepin', woudja?!" Yuma asked annoyed as Sakura shake her head as she let out a sigh
"Oh, please... you snorer." Astral replied as Sakura have to cover her mouth with her hand in order, trying not to laugh at them. Both Bronk and Tori watch Yuma get into yet another argument with an empty patch of air.
"What?! Am not!" Yuma shouted offended
"D'you... think we should leave?" Tori whisper to Bronk
" Yes, very slowly." He replied to her, only for a voice to be heard
" Yuma!"
"Huh?" Tori, Bronk, Sakura and Yuma look confused as they look over to see Flip run up to Yuma, falsely friendly and cheery at him. "Hehehehey, Yuma, how's it goin', buddy?"
"...Who are you?" Yuma asked him
"The name is Flip!" He replied as he points at the sky as he makes his speech. "And I take quite a bit of pride in that name, "cause I believe everything has a flip sidee. My right has my left; my front, my back. My frowny face has...." he then turns back to Yuma with a smile on his face "My smiley face! See?"
However, Yuma is thoroughly nonplussed.
"Pleased to meetcha!" Flip said
" Yeah..."
" Oh....before I forget, I have a little something forya, Yuma," Flip said as he began to search his pocket before taking out of his pocket before offering the card to Yuma. The monster on the card is a Baby Tiragon
"It's an Xyz monster...Baby Tiragon." Flip exclaimed
"And you're giving it to me?" Yuma asked him as his eyes sparkle at the card
" Yep!" Flip answer as he held the card toward Yuma. "For takin' down that bully Shark! Go on, Yuma, don't be shy, take it. It can be a symbol of our new friendship" He replied as his eyes narrow at him
" Symbol of friendship, huh?" Yuma said
"Can we at least draw a symbol of friendship on our hand, instead of offering each other cards for friendship" Sakura said.
Meanwhile, Astral also see the dark purple aura appear around Flip, just like Shark, when he was possessed by Leviathan Dragon. But Yuma clearly doesn't.
"What is this dark aura flowing from this boy? Something is not right." Astral thought to himself
"'I have to be a jerk to turn that down!" Yuma replied at last, this was a chance to add a new card to improve his deck and his chance of becoming a great duelist
"That's right, don't be afraid," Flip doesn't sound nearly so friendly anymore. "Just reach out and take it!!" He said as his glass gleam as a evil smile appear on his face, hopping that Yuma would come through and take the card
"Well, if you insist," Yuma replied with a happy look as he rubbed his hands. "All right!" He reach out for the card to take, but was halted as Tori hand grabs his wrist, stoping him from taking it. She look at him with an angry look on her face
"Yuma, we're gonna be late for class come on, let's go!" Tori stated as her and Bronk and Tori drag Yuma away as Sakura follow them, leaving Flip holding the card; Astral floats behind the quartet
"If ya moved your legs, it might help a little."Bronk said him as he help Tori drag Yuma away from Flip
"But...that...card! I wannit!" Yuma demanded
"Come on, Yuma" Sakura told the young boy
" Rrgghh..!" Flip growl under his breath, his plan to give Yuma the card failed

Inside the school:
"Sorry, Yuma, but that kid is nothing but trouble" Tori said as she and Bronk let Yuma go, and he brushes himself off.
"Whaddaya mean? How would you know?" Yuma asked them
"We know 'cause Tori an' I used to be in the same class wit' 'im. And I'm tellin' you-- he's always up to no good! Always!" Bronk explain to him as he tried to warn Yuma about Flip
" What? That little guy? Huh. Please, what's the worst he could do?" Yuma stated, not knowing a certain someone planning to take him down
"Be careful of what you wish for" Sakura warn him. "I remember the time when I caught Yuma dress up as winged Kurioboh"
"Sakura!"
"Help me" An unfamiliar voice call out to Sakura as she turn her head in order to see where it was coming from, but she was met with nothing
Later on:
Throughout the entire day of school, the fun-sized boy that admire Yuma call Flip, keeping popping out of nowhere, trying to give Yuma the Xyz card that contain Baby Tiragon. Much to Flip dismay and Yuma trying to obtain it. The trio consists of Tori, Sakura and Bronk all manage to dragged him away
Which lead to Yuma sitting on the stair, as Tori, Sakura and Bronk are standing up, somewhere around the school outside.
"You've gotta keep your guard up, Yuma" Tori as she scolded Yuma
"No kidding..... but from Flip, or from you three?" Yuma asked
"You should do as you are told" Sakura stated
"Why?"
"If Tori and Bronk are right, that mean he is trouble, also I have a slight feeling that Baby Tiragon isn't his apart of his deck. But someone else that he stole it or from of win it in a duel. I have a feeling something bad is going to happen to you" Sakura replied to him as she heard the same familiar voice, asking for help

Next day at school:
Yuma was in a whole deep of trouble when he arrived at Heartland Academy. Eversince Baby Tiragon ( the card that Flip was trying to give to Yuma) arrived in an envelope at his home yesterday. Today everyone's was giving him lot of evil stare and being cruel and horrible to him, all this for something that he haven't even do.
After realizing that the fun-size male that go by the name of Flip, was the one who frame Yuma. Sakura walk out of class in order to find her friend and possibly go on the manhunt for Flip
"Sakura!" The aqua haired girl turn around as she heard someone call out her name. It was only Bronk and Tori as they both ran up to her
"Hey guys. What up?" She asked them
"We all know that Yuma is innocent, right?" Bronk asked as she nodded her head at him
"We think it all have something to do with Flip. So me and Bronk are going to look for Spencer. While you go and look for Yuma?" Tori asked
"You got it. Call me if you find any thing" Sakura said before turning around and walking away from the duo

At the Mall:
After finding Yuma after school and getting change into their normal clothes, Sakura took Yuma to the mall in order to cheer him up from the drama that happen today at school. They're sitting on a bench somewhere alone, Yuma have a heartbroken expression on his face as Sakura put one of her hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. Astral leans against nothing beside Yuma as he sighs heavily.
"Man. It sure stinks, having everyone upset at you." Yuma commented on his current situation. "I guess Bronk, Sakura and Tori aren't, but the rest of the school sure is"
"I understand. However I think there more to the truth" Sakura said before holding out her hand to Yuma," I need to borrow Baby Tiragon for a moment" as she said that, Yuma turned his head at her
"What do you mean. And why?" He asked
She then answered him, "I heard a voice the other day, begging for someone to help it. I believe it was Baby Tiragon asking for help. So may I see it?" Yuma was about to pull it out of his deck holder, but he was interrupted by a familiar voice. "Yuma! Hehehehey, how's it goin' pal?" They both turn around and saw Flip making his way towards them
"Hey, Flip" Yuma greeted him. Something seems ominous
"Hello to you as well, Sakura" Flip said to her as she tried so hard not to tackle him to the ground, in order for him to confess his crime and for what he put Baby Tiragon through.
"What wrong" He asked the pink and black haired boy as he sat on Yuma's bench, offering a sympathetic ear as Yuma explain to him about the current events and how he feeling about it all
"Wow, it sounds like you got a bum rap" Flip commented, but Sakura wasn't buying his lie, as she heard from Baby Tiragon, about all the thing's that he have done. Now, she wanted to kill someone
"Tell me about it. Now I'm the school outcast." Yuma said
"That is not true, Yuma. You're no outcast!" Flip declared
"Huh?" Yuma asked, as he look at him confused
Flip then stand up from his spot on the bench. " Like I said before...I've liked you ever since I heard you beat Shark. That was one of the best duels ever!" Flip exclaimed with excitement in his voice
"Wow, really? Thank Flip" Yuma replied as Sakura mutter under her breath, at how dense her friend with the lie that Flip is telling him about
"Do you think we should tell him" Dante, the Mystical wolf appear as well as Yuto appear next to each other as they both glare at Flip
"By the way, what was that card that you used to take down Shark? You know, uh..." Flip asked
"You mean Utopia?" Yuma said as Sakura faceplam herself as Dante and Yuto look at each other in shock
"Huh? Oh, right!! That was it!" Flip said with an evil grin, which make Sakura even more suspicious of the boy as Astral is watching the entire conversation from a few steps back
Flip got up from his seat as he walk behind the bench. "Well, Yuma, no matter what anyone says about you, remember that Flip has always got your back!" Astral saw him sticks a note to the back of Yuma's sweatshirt hood.
"In that case, you know what would really cheer me up? A friendly duel." Yuma suggested as Sakura and Yuto shook their head as Dante fall down as they all thought exactly the same thing. "Yuma! You idiot" Both Yuto and Dante both went back inside their respective card inside Sakura deck holder
"Ha! I was hoping you'd ask, Yuma! I'd love to!"Flip answer
"Ah,really?" He asked
"Oh, absolutely! In fact, old pal, I insist on it!" Flip replied to him
"Ha! Yeah, let's do this, then!" Yuma exclaimed
"I have a bad feeling about this duel. I think you should pass" Astral said as he try to warn Yuma
"What for?" Yuma asked him. "...Wait, lemme guess ...you think that Flip is up to no good, too."
"Astral right, Yuma. I don't think you should duel him. Like Tori and Bronk said he's trouble. He only appear to you after you gain Utopia and Leviathan Dragon. Don't summon either of them" Sakura said, but only to get a head shake of Yuma
"Well then, why would he stand by me in my time of need? Wait a second... you're not jealous, areya?" Yuma said as he tease them as Flip is listening to them having a conversation with empty air.
"No, you dopey gorilla. We're just suspicious of him" Sakura said as Astral nodded his head at her statement
"Uhh, are you talkin' to me,Yuma?" Flip asked, interrupting the conversation
"Nope, just to myself! Anyway-- let's get on with this duel! Because I am feelin' the flow!" Yuma exclaimed as both he and Flip got their duel disk out as the duo activate their duel gazer. Sakura activate her Duel Visor Tattoo
"Duel interface, set!" A computer voice said as the surroundings transform slightly as they're overlaid with holograms; it still looks mostly the same. "Augmented reality vision link established."
"Let's Duel!" They both said in unison
Flip:4000 / Yuma:4000
"I'll go first, if it's okay! Here goes, draw!!" Flip declared as he moved a card from his deck as he said, " I place a monster facedown in defense mode! That's it for this turn." A card materialize infront of him
"Playing it safe by shoring up your defenses, huh?" Yuma asked
" I better play it safe when I'm facing a duelist as good as you are, Yuma!" The fun-sized boy said as Sakura narrow her eyes at him. He was suspicious.
"I believe your opponent's praise is masking his true motives." Astral stated
"No, he just thinks I'm a great duelist! Is that so hard to believe?! Ahh, wait a sec...don't answer that... let's get back to the duel!" Yuma said as he was thinking of his next move. "Since Flip summoned a monster in defense mode, it's played facedown. Now I can't see how strong a defense it has, unless I attack it! But, if I do attack, and his monster's stronger than my monster, I 'm gonna take damage."
Yuma then draw a card from his deck. " I summon Gagaga Magician!" The same Magician with the chain that he use in the duel with Shark appear on the field
Gagaga Magician Level 4/ ATK: 1500/ DEF: 1000
"Now, Gagaga Magician, attack that facedown monster!" Yuma commanded as Gagaga Magician was about to attack the facedown card
"Porcupine Fish, appear!" As silver fish cover with Porcupine spike around it body appear on the field
Porcupine Fish Level 1/ ATK: 200/ DEF: 400
"All right, Gagaga Magician wins!" Yuma cheered
"Flip effect, activate!" Flip said
"You got to be joking" Sakura mutter underneath her breath
" What's a flip effect?!" Yuma asked confused
"You musta missed that day of school, Yuma! It's a special ability that activates when a monster that's facedown is flipped face-up! Wanna know what its flip effect is?! You now take four hundred points of damage!!" Flip announce as Yuma endures a hail of glowing quills, as his lifepoints are decreasing
Flip: 4000 / Yuma:3600
"Pretty cool move....but Gagaga Magician still has higher attack points!" Yuma declared as Gagaga Magician and Porcupine Fish collide midair, only for Porcupine Fish to lose as it get shattered
"My monster!" Flip exclaimed
"Better luck next time! I end my turn!" Yuma said as a card materialize infront of him, before Flip appears on an across-the-arena screen
"Well played, but I expected no less! Still, I took away lifepoints from the mighty Yuma Tsukumo, yaahaa! The duelist that took down the infamous Shark!"
"Anyone can do that. You're not that special" Sakura replied
"He sure seems happy." Yuma commented on his opponent
"Interesting. So he is a flip effect monster user" Astral stated
"My turn!! Here we go! I play a monster in defense mode!" Flip announced as he place a monster in defense mode. "Then I'll end my turn with two facedowns!" He said as two cards materialize infront of him as he end his turn
Flip: 4000 / Yuma: 3600
Flip have 3 card that in his hand whilat Yuma have 5 in his hand 5. Flip has two facedown cards and a facedown monster on his field, while Yuma has Gagaga Magician. Astral blurs slightly as he watches the duel
"All right, my turn! I draw!" Yuma said as he moved a card from his duel disk as he said, "First, I summon Flelf!"
Flelf ATK: 800/ DEF: 1300/ Level 2
" Now I'll use it to attack your facedown monster!" Yuma declared
"Say what!Are you crazy! Don't answer that. Flef have eight hundred attack point!" Sakura shouted in disbelief with Yuma logic
"But Yuma!! Do you not recall what happened last time?!" Astral said, alarmed as he recall Yuma using the same tactics with Shark
"Of course! But who cares if I take flip-effect damage; if Flelf destroys that facedown monster, I can attack Flip directly with my Magician! Now, go! Flelf, attack that facedown monster!" Yuma commanded as he ignore both Astral and Sakura as Flelf was about to attack
" Chew-Bone, appear! "A small skeletal mammal with glowing red eyes and a big red marble within its rib cage appear on the field
Chew-Bone ATK: 300/ DEF: 300/ Level 3
"Three hundred defense points? That'll be a piece a' cake to beat!"
"You stupid idiot" Sakura mutter
"And now for, Chew-Bone's flip effect!" Flip announce as the bottom-most of Chew-Bone's thoracic vertebrae starts to glow, and holographic screens appear around it. Then it duplicates three more of itself.
"With it, I can summon up to three Chew-Bone Juniors from my deck, onto your field in defense mode!" They're little, they're vicious, they're nothing but small mammal skeletons with glowing red lights for eyes
Chew-Bone Jr. ATK: 100/ DEF: 300/ Level 1
"Huh...?! You summoned 'em to my field?!" Yuma asked in surprise as Flelf destroys Chew-Bone with several sword-slashes.
"I'm so cool! Didja see how I pulled that sweet summoning off?" Flip asked
"Yeah, I sure did, Flip. But they won't do you a whole lotta good way over here on my field." Yuma said
"What? Your field? Ohh, nuts, I misunderstood the effect!" Flip exclaimed as Astral narrowed his eyes at his statement, while Sakura clench her fist as she glaring dagger into him
"Ahh, don't beat yourself up over it. Happens to us all! But, a duel's a duel-- can't letcha off the hook!" Yuma said as Flip sticks out his tongue behind the arm with which he's hiding his face in supposed distress.
" And now I attack you directly with Gagaga Magician!" Yuma declared as Gagaga Magician attack hits as it knocks Flip down to 2500 lifepoints.
Flip: 2500 / Yuma: 3600
"Aaaaahhh...!"
"Yes! I'm winning! Thirty-six hundred lifepoints to twenty-five hundred!" Yuma said as he was about to end his turn with a facedown. "And with that, I end my t.....!"
"Wait! Hold up there!" Flip interrupted Yuma
"Huh?"
"Aren't cha gonna summon your Xyz monster?" He asked
"My Xyz...?" Yuma asked
"You know, because of the summoning mistake, I just made...?" Flip asked
" Huh?" Yuma said as Sakura raise her eyebrow at him, but Flip is not amused.
"The mistake I made that brought out the three level-one Chew-Bone Juniors?!?!" Flip said, more like yelling as Yuma gasps. Right now, Flip have 'hinted', all three Chew-Bone Jr.'s are level one.
"Right! I've got three level-one monsters out, which means I can do an Xyz summon!" Yuma yelled out, excited as Sakura and Astral's eyes widen as they both realise that Yuma is being set up
"Yuma, don't do it..." Sakura tried to warn, but she was cut off
"I overlay these three level-one Chew-Bone Juniors! Next...." The three Chew-Bone Jr.'s transform into sparkling clouds of orange
"Yuma don't" Astral said as he tried to stop Yuma from making a mistake as the stained-glass center of the field becomes a vortex of swirling red, and the orange lights stream into it.
"I will use this overlay network to summon forth, an Xyz monster! Appear, Baby Tiragon" Yuma said as huge, rough spikes of bright green rock burst from the ground, and explode dramatically in a cloud of dust that obscures both sides of the field.
Yuma peers through the dust at the smoking crater in the middle of the floor as it clears... finally revealing an incongruously tiny creature for such a huge explosion, smaller than most cats, with orange, white, and brown fur, tiny horns, and big pink ears. It looks over its shoulder at him with huge, sad, imploring eyes. Its three overlays orbit around it in gold
Baby Tiragon ATK: 900/ DEF:900 / Rank 1
"All right, I did it!! I summoned an Xyz monster!! " Yuma cheered happily, only from Flip to start laughing, making the trio consists of Sakura, Yuma and Astral look at him, confused with his outburst
"You sap! You bought it!" Flip said as he continue on laughing
"I... bought what?" Yuma asked, confused
"My right facedown is the trap "Ultra C"." Flip answer as he revealed one of his facedown card, revealing to be a trap card
"Ultra C"...?!" Astral wonder
"Thanks to "Ultra C", when Baby Tiragon is summoned out to your field, I can summon one Xyz monster to my field.... Oh, and there's one more thing! I have to summon it straight from your deck." He explain
"My deck...?!" Yuma asked as Astral and Sakura stood and look on in disbelief
"Yup. Which means...Utopia is all mine!!" Baby Tiragon looks up at Yuma woefully. "You summoning Baby Tiragon was the worst thing that could've happened to you!" Flip said
" Uh..ahh.." Yuma growl at him
"That it. I'm going over there to teach him a lesson" Sakura said angrily, as she began to make her way over to where Flip was, but was stop by Astral
" Flip planned this from the very start.In order to get you to get you to summon Baby Tiragon, he purposefully summoned those Chew-Bone Juniors to your field." Astral explained
" No, that's impossible... I mean, think about it; Flip didn't even know that I owned a Baby Tiragon" Yuma said as he clearly doesn't understand the situation at all. In reply, Flip snickers, as he pulls off his hat, and puts on his wig with the big orange flower, revealing that he was the fangirl
"No. He stole Baby Tiragon from his original owner. Then he send it you by the post and make you take the blame for everything that he did" Sakura explain to him as Yuma turn around to look at her in shock
"He did what?" He asked
"Here it go"
Flashback:
Sakura was asleep in the comfort of her bed after a long day, trying to keep Yuma away from Flip, when she had this dream. She stood in exactly the same tomb as she saw before with the three unknown massive monsters
"Sakura" She turn around as she heard someone call her name. She saw the familiar golden dragon that she have see in her vision, along with him, is the familiar Xyz monster that Flip have tried to give to Yuma, flying in front of her
"Baby Tiragon?" She asked as the Xyz monster nodded it head at her, before she turn to face the golden dragon. "And you are?" She asked
"You will know soon enough" it replied to her
"Where am I?" She asked
"You in the Spirit World" Baby Tiragon told her
"The what world?" Sakura asked as the golden dragon began to explaining to her. "It a place where the duel monster's live. Only gifted people's, like yourself can enter here, you can enter here whenever you want. But people's mostly enter through their sleep"
"You mean I can come here after I die?" She asked as she got a nod in return. "Why did you bring me here?"
"You may want to listen to this" told her as he nodded his head at Baby Tiragon. "Come on, you can trust her" He spoke softly to the tiny Xyz monster
"The reason that I summon you here is because your friend is in trouble. Flip took me from my old owner" Baby Tiragon said with a sad tone in it voice, which make the girl sad and angry at the same time
"When I see him, I'm going to make sure he doesn't do it again" Sakura said as she grit her teeth
"He’s planning on taking you friend number card. Number 39: Utopia from him and use it against him. Please, can you make sure it won't happen. Number cards can control and hurt people's. Please?" He said as Sakura nodded her head in agreement as she look up at the golden dragon
"Look like you have your work cut out for you"
Flashback ended:
"And there you go, it happened" Sakura said as the duo consist of Yuma and Astral stared at her in shock, before Yuma turn around to face Flip angrily
"So then, that card was sent by you?!" Yuma shouted out as Flip pulls off the wig and puts his hat back on
"That's right!" Flip let out let a smirk. "And I was also the one who sent around all those fake photos of you to the entire school! I knew it would make everyone hate you!"
"But why?!" Yuma asked, wanting to know Flip true intentions
"Because I needed to get you alone, Yuma. And besides...I knew if you were down about everyone disowning you as their friend you'd finally let me be your friend! And friends duel! And that note on your back tells you what we're dueling for" Flip exclaimed to Yuma
"What in the world?" said Yuma as he looks behind him and grabs the note. "Bet this doesn't say 'kick me'... "
The fun-sized boy known ad Flip watches intently as Yuma reads the note. "If I lose this duel, I agree to give Flip a card from my deck."
"This is not good." Astral commented on the situation
"That's no fair!!"
"That note was on you , so you must honor it!! Ha!" Flip declared
"I gonna honor you in a minute" Sakura mutter underneath her breath
"What a snake." Astral stated
"My friends warned me that you were always up to no good." Yuma said as he realised that Tori, Sakura, Bronk and Astral was right all this time about the fun-sized boy
"Hmhm!"
"I guess this is what I get for not listening to them." Yuma said after he gave both Sakura and Astral an apologetic look, before asking a question. "So fine, which card of mine is it that we're playing for?!"
"Why the card you beat Shark with, of course... your Utopia card!!" Flip announced
"No" Sakura said as her eyes widen at Flip demand
"Utopia's a Number card. If Yuma loses that, then I, too, shall be lost...!" Astral told the aqua haired girl
"Now that we know the stakes....let's get on with the duel!! Shall we?! Now "Ultra C", activate!! And with your power I summon Utopia from Yuma's deck!!" He commanded
The field then turns into a breathtaking, spinning galaxy of lights, swirling from turquoise down to navy blue, then bursting out in an explosion of yellow and purple.
"Rise up.... Utopia!!!" Flip shouted as the The Number 39 burns, and Utopia's bladed white wings extend, his armor unfolds, and Utopia once again towers over the field, but the side of the field he's towering over, is not Yuma's side of it. But Flip

"So now I gotta take on my best monster...? This isn't gonna be easy!" Yuma said in a state of panic. How will he be able to defeat Flip now.
