"So, where are we going? The cafe right?" I asked as I jogged to their side.
Jungkook stopped in track and turned to me. His face was sincere and sympathetic.
"Jin-Hwan, can you give us a moment?"
Jin-Hwan whose schoolbag was hung over a shoulder nodded with a sigh.
He went to the school gates.
My grip on my backpack tightened. I took a step back.
He saw it but remained in his position.
"What do you wan-"
"I'm sorry."
"Can't you feel that I want to bre-"
I frowned. "Wait what?"
"I'm sorry."
He hung his head low. I had never seen him standing like this, so unconfidently and guiltily.
I looked around while pointing myself with a finger. 'Sorry to me?'
The sun seemed to be curious about our conversation too as it stopped hiding behind the thick grey clouds. Its light shone bright on us, my skin feeling tingling hot. The clouds no longer looked lifeless and dark, but glorious, something so soft and rich to be touched. A cool breeze arrived making the leaves quiver. A constant rustling noise echoed around us. The wind seemed to have awoken the small agile birds as they flew above our heads gracefully.
I had to squint my eyes looking at the tall boy in front of me.
"I. Am. Sorry. For," he exhaled. He extended his hands like it could help him explaining. "For those crazy actions that I've done to you last night. I should be thankful that you haven't reported me cause they're...illegal...sort of."
He scratched his head.
Clearly he's struggling to apologize.
Well, of course. He's Jungkook.
I'm surprised to know that he knew the pronunciation of the word 'sorry'.
"And, I suppose you wanna break up with me? To be with Jimin." He playfully and hatefully rolled his eyes when he mentioned his name.
I chuckled, "yeah."
"It's not fun anymore to control you when you don't even like me. It's getting annoying."
I wanted to laugh but also to rudely say 'excuse me?'.
He sounded like it was my problem for 'annoying him'.
"Let's go," he said as he thoughtfully stared at the floor.
"Wait so are we back to friends now?" I hopped to his side excitedly.
"Wow-wow-wow, look who's so happy to get rid of me." He mockingly said as he tilted his head and arched his right brow and a corner of his lips.

We've arrived at a tall dark building with black mirrored-windows all over it. It's an apartment, specifically, for rich people, people at a higher level on the hierarchy. 'Only billionaires, important politicians or celebrities live here,' Jin-Hwan noted, very pointlessly.
But it was stuck in my head because this was a high-class building, and from what Jin-Hwan had said, I've learnt that there's even a rule if you wanted to live here; the more power you held, the more choices you got. And the best flats were always the highest few floors, the 'worst' one would be the one on the first floor eventually.
And apparently, Jungkook lived in the penthouse located at the 60th floor, the top apartment.
I gulped nervously thinking about this, thinking about how much money, and power the Jeon family actually held.
As we walked through the parking lot, I tried so hard to not stare at basically everything but of course, I failed. There were men wearing black neat suits and white gloves . They're located at different places. Their jobs seemed to be helping people to park their cars.
People who I supposed were the ones living here, didn't actually look extraordinary, they look rather...normal, wearing comfy unobtrusive outfits, except some who're wearing clothing that you could recognize were designer brands straight away.
"Good evening, Mr. Jeon." A plain voice said and I slightly jumped. I turned around quickly.
There were two guys wearing the same fit as the ones in the parking lot. They were holding the doors for us. They remained in their bowing position like they didn't dare to, or were not allowed to, look at us in the eyes.
Jungkook did not reply anything. He only arrogantly walked to the elevators.
"Do they work for you or do you own the whole building?" I whispered not wanting to make myself low.
Jungkook looked down at me with a pathetic look. I guess I just made myself low then.
"Dōrothéa isn't just some normal luxurious buildings you see at the streets. These securities," he explained as he pointed at the two guys that we saw just now. "Need to remember all our names, everyone who lives here. That's part of their job, to be respectful. They have to do that so they won't get fired."
I nodded in an unwanted understanding.
Why did I even bother to ask. This is just making me stupid- I am stupid cause clearly I'm not part of their world, I don't understand anything.
"Hello?" The elevator had opened its doors when Jin-Hwan received a call.
"No mom, please."
"Come on! I'm just gonna go for an hour. No mum! We have to do a project, this is serious-"
He loudly groaned and ended the call earning a few stares from people around us.
He shoved his phone back into his bag and said with annoyance, "I have to go home now."
"Why?" Jungkook asked.
Jin-Hwan flipped his hair and sheepishly and quietly murmured under his breath, "because I've promised her 2 months ago that I would start tidying up my room and I didn't... I guess she couldn't hold in her anger anymore..."
Jungkook scoffed, "just go then."
When Jin-Hwan was about to protest like a toddler stomping his feet, Jungkook spoke and pointed a finger at him, "don't. Don't fucking ask me to call your mum again. Your mum is...scary."
They both ended up laughing together.
"Bye oppa," Jin-Hwan pouted and said with a girly baby voice. He gripped on the hem of Jungkook's shirt, swinging from side to side.
Jungkook laughed, "stop fucking around! People are looking at us."
After a small round of fighting, they did not care about the stares that they're constantly receiving, Jin-Hwan finally left with a long sad shadow extending from his dirty shoes.
I chuckled.
There was an awkward silence between Jungkook and I after he pressed the '60' button and the elevator closed its doors.
"So are we gonna facetime Jin-Hwan-"
Ding-
We've arrived at the 60th floor.
"Come on," Jungkook faked a smile and walked out of the lift.
I blushed feeling embarrassed.
This was like a five-star hotel. Out of the elevator, there was a big space connected to a pair of wooden double doors and nothing more.
Lights were dim. Taste of money floating in the air.
Jungkook pressed onto the black shiny smart lock and instead of showing a few rows of numbers, a moderate-sized screen box showed up.
Jungkook leaned forward and soon a bright blue line was scanning his face.
"Unlocked." The lock spoke with a robotic voice.
I let out a few dry laughs as I observed the whole scene.
It's alright. I'm okay.
I dropped my bag onto the floor once I've entered his penthouse.
"What're you doing? We haven't arrived yet," Jungkook stopped in front of me, still holding his shoulder bag.
I laughed, "what do you mean? This is your flat right?"
"Correction, house. Just follow me." He shot me an unreadable expression.
Whatever.
He was right, there were a lot of corridors, leading to more rooms and more staircases.
Finally we've arrived at his room.
His room was full of his own cologne scent. There were dark red curtains hanging heavily from the ceiling to the floor, covering the tall french windows. The white ceiling carved with some linear patterns was so high up. There weren't a lot of things in his room but they're well-arranged, a rectangular black desk, a big borderless laptop on it, a few books on the side, an electric guitar leaning against the wall and lastly a big king-sized bed with a thick black duvet on top.
As I was still trying to take everything in to my sight, Jungkook said with an unexpectedly deep voice, "wait here. I'll go for a shower."
"Okay."
"Wait what?" I gasped and quickly turned around when I saw him already changed into a burgundy-coloured bathrobe.
I heard some footsteps then the noise of pulling a door close.
Before he completely closed the bathroom door, he mumbled, "don't leave, I'll be quick."
He joked, "you do realize that we haven't exactly broken up yet."
For a moment, I thought I saw a flash of a smirk and soon, the door was locked.
