"Wake up, sleepyhead."

Stirring awake at Namjoon's deep voice, Hana flinched and sat upright when she realized that the class had ended. Her cheeks turned red when it occured to her that she had dozed off in class again.

"Kim Namjoon. Moon Hana. I need to speak to you two so stay back please." Hoseok informed from the podium he was standing at.

Hana groaned. "I just want to go home and sleep."

Namjoon snorted. "You slept for half the lecture and still, you want to sleep more?"

When the lecture hall was cleared out leaving only the three of them, Hoseok made his way instantly towards the pair of friends still engaged in a heated yet friendly argument on the benefits of afternoon naps. Amused, he shook his head before plopping down at the empty seat in front of Hana's, making them both shut up to look at him.

"Was my lecture that boring?" Hoseok teased as well, and he let out a laugh when Hana hid her face with her notebook.

"See?! Even prof agrees!" Namjoon exclaimed smugly.

"You two are ganging up on me!" Hana pouted, and her cheeks flushed red when Hoseok leaned over to peck her cheeks.

"Eww what the actual hell?" Namjoon spluttered in disgust.

Shrugging nonchalantly, Hoseok fished out the necklace from the inner pocket of his blazer before placing it on the table. Hana cracked a smile immediately.

"Where did you find it?" Hana questioned while putting on the necklace around her neck.

"Taehyung had it. Not sure why, but he did." Hoseok furrowed his eyebrows at the thought. "Now that I'm thinking clearly, why was this necklace with him?"

"He probably picked it up in the amusement park when we separated to find you guys." Namjoon piped in.

"That coincidentally?" Hana blinked.

"Actually... since he's the reincarnation of the King who made this in the first place... it wouldn't be surprising if it's actually fated for him to be the one who finds it." Hoseok shifted uncomfortably.

"The history won't be repeating itself... right?" Namjoon frowned when Hoseok shook his head hesitantly.

"Don't focus on the negative side, Hoseok. Just live in the moment for now." Hana comforted him by patting his hands on the table, making him smile gratefully.

"I can't help to be worried." Hoseok sighed. "The last thing I need is to lose you again."

"You won't. I won't allow myself to die." Hana gave him a determined nod.

"Plus, we have the advantage for knowing the history. If it's really heading towards the same direction, this time, we will be more prepared." Namjoon added.

Slumping his shoulders, Hoseok couldn't help but to smile at the pair of friends. They were truly like two peas in a pod.

"Let's send you home." Hoseok stood back up, followed by the other two.

"Do you guys think it's safe for me to stay alone?" Hana tilted her head at the taller men as they exited the lecture hall. "The culprit behind the blackmail Taehyung received is still lurking freely out there. I'll surely be safe with you guys, but if I'm alone, then it's a whole other story."

"Do you wanna stay with me?" Namjoon was knitting his eyebrows.

"You have work in the museum right?" Hoseok shifted his gaze from Namjoon who nodded reluctantly towards Hana. "What about you move in to our house temporarily? The guys will be around most of the time."

"That's a pretty decent idea, but..." Namjoon smirked when Hana groaned at what he was about to say. "... you're all guys. And our Hana here is a girl."

"Joonie, I love you but sometimes your protective trait gets out of hand." Hana nudged her best friend's side playfully.

Laughing, Hoseok wrapped his arm around Hana's shoulders as soon as they were away from the crowd. "So what do you say? Wanna move in?"

Hana exchanged a look with Namjoon who simply shrugged. She returned her focus back to the vampire then, and nodded.

The group of elite vampires were all overjoyed when they learned that Hana would be staying with them from now onwards until the threat was gone. Especially the younger ones – Jimin and Jungkook, they literally screamed in joy when they saw Hana next to Hoseok holding some of her bags at their doorway.

It made Hana wonder how close the past her was with the group. They must had shared a bond so close and special, and she pondered whether she would be able to keep up with their expectations.

Sensing the subtle but still noticeable shift of mood, Hoseok placed the bags down next to the empty wardrobe in the spare guest room before approaching Hana who was gazing out of the window. The human girl was bewildered when she felt him snaking his arms around her body, but she eventually relaxed her form in his arms as Hoseok rested his chin on her shoulder.

"What's wrong?" Hoseok asked softly, his eyes trailing towards where Hana was looking at.

Turning around, she rested her hands on his hips, sending tiny jolts to Hoseok over the area she was touching him. "I— I'm just worried that I'm not what you and the rest expect me to be."

"We never expected you to be anything, Hana. Not even like the past Hana I knew. What's most importantly is for you to just be yourself. Your true self." Hoseok caressed her cheeks gingerly, his thumb shifting to trail down her neck, feeling her strongly pulsating carotid arteries.

The urge to drink her blood overwhelmed him suddenly, causing his eyes to turn vibrant silver as he licked his dry lips. He could practically smell the addictive and sweet scent of the blood coursing through her blood vessels, and he understood why the other vampires were all so adamant in tasting her blood.

It was undeniable that her blood was indeed different from the others.

"H-Hoseok?" Hana stuttered out at the change of his eyes. "Are you hungry?"

"Very. I've been starving since the morning." Hoseok answered in less than a heartbeat, and forced himself to tear away from her. "Stay here. I'll go get—"

The vampire was sent into puzzlement when he felt a tug on his hand. Snapping his head around, he hitched his breath when Hana pulled him back towards her.

"Stop. I need to go before I lose control." Hoseok warned calmly.

"Do you want to drink my blood?"

Dumbfounded, Hoseok gaped at her with incredulity written all over his face. The temptation to drink warm human blood after not being able to do so for a long time slowly took over him.

"I c-can't. You shouldn't see the monstrous side of me." Hoseok rejected her offer. "I don't want you to be afraid of me like the time you've seen me kill off the low-tier vampire in your house."

"I'm no longer afraid of vampires, Hoseok. You and the boys changed my mind." Hana took a step forward to cradle his face. "If we want to work this relationship out, I'd need to see every single side of you too."

"You sure?" Hoseok's silver eyes shimmered with golden specks when Hana nodded without hesitating. "What if I hurt you?"

"You won't." Hana reassured, and she was caught off guard when the vampire leaned down hesitantly to capture his lips with hers.

Fluttering her eyes closed, she allowed herself to drown herself in the pure bliss of joy as he kissed her slowly with passion tingling their lips with every single kiss. Gently, he pinned her onto the wall, his hands moving to push her long hair away before leaving butterfly kisses along her jawline and eventually stopping at the side of her neck.

Hana felt herself stiffening a little when the sharp tips of his fangs poke her sensitive neck slightly, but she went limp the next second when Hoseok began to work his magic by leaving a hickey on that very spot. He held onto her as she leaned herself onto him, and before she could even comprehend what was going on, her breath hitched abruptly when his fangs pierced through her skin.

Hoseok couldn't help but to elicit a low growl at how sweet her blood was the moment he tasted the red liquid oozing out of the two tiny holes he had made. It sent firework-like sparks all over his system, clouding his mind as he got high with just her blood.

Despite having not tasting Hana's blood for such a long long time, he loved how intoxicating the scent of her blood still was when it hit his tastebuds. The same feeling of butterflies, the same high from the taste of her blood—

Moon Hana was still the same Moon Hana he once loved.

"You seem to be enjoying a little too much for someone who rejected to drink just now." Hana chuckled weakly as Hoseok pulled away with her blood still dripping down his chin. "Wow. You look bloody hot."

Wiping his mouth and chin, he let out a laugh of disbelief at the joke she had chosen to utter out of so many other things. Now that his hunger was satiated, he could finally take a good look at the love of his life.

"That was a horrible pun." Hoseok replied her before licking the wound to stop the blood flow, and he moved upwards to steal another peck from her lips.

"You liked it. Admit it." Hana retorted playfully before yawning. "Hobi, I'm sleepy."

Hoseok's eyebrows jumped at the nickname. "Hobi?"

Hana giggled while resting her cheek on his chest, sleep already lulling her into dreamland. "Hobi. That's what I'm gonna call you from now on."

Swiftly, Hoseok caught her sleeping form before she could even fall onto the ground. He carried her towards the bed, and made sure to tuck her underneath the blanket.

Leaving a feathery peck on her forehead, a smile grew on his face as he watched her breathe in and out with a steady pace.

"Thank you for everything, my lotus flower."
