"We have a problem" Lip snapped as he pulled me into my room. I stared at him cautiously waiting for him to continue. "Tell me why the fuck some men from the army are telling me Ian's wanted.....for impersonating me!"
My face fell as I tried to think of a believable story.
"I don't know" I shrugged, biting down on my lip. He sent me a glare, obviously knowing I was lying. "He's my twin, okay! And he was blackmailing me"
"Holy shit, you fucking new about this?" He snapped angrily.
"I mean.....sorta" I muttered. "Why, what happened?"
Now it was his turn to stay silent, so I knew our brother had royally fucked up.
"He tried to steal a helicopter" He sighed. "And now apparently he's AWOL"
Holy shit....no one knew where he was? What if something bad happened to him?
Sensing my distress, Lip pulled me into a hug as I buried my head in his chest. He kept saying that Ian would be alright, but some part of me didn't believe him, and I really wanted to believe him.
"Well shit, then I guess we start looking for clues"
The two of us began tearing apart Ian's stuff, going through every little thing with a fine-tooth comb. Even if we found nothing, it didn't hurt to try.
"What are we even looking for?" I groaned, throwing down his weird collection of magazines.
"A friend of his, an address, I don't know" He shrugged, equally having no clue.
I knew our brother had been distant recently but I didn't think this was something he'd do. I mean we told each other everything.
"It would be great if you could talk to Mandy" He suggested as I sent him a glare. Seriously? The two of them we're still on the out.
"Fine" I sighed. "But if I get shot again that's on you"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Happy Birthday" I smiled, pulling Fiona into a hug.
"She wasn't planning on celebrating, but now we can have a party here" Veronica cheered as she handed me a cup of coffee.
Birthday's were never a big thing in our house, but after breaking up with Mike last night.
My sister definitely needed it...
"I can pick up a cake after work" I suggested, practically downing my drink in one gulp. I was up all of last night worrying about my stupid twin brother, so I barley got any sleep.
"Kev said you found somewhere more permanent" V smiled. "So, where you working?"
"Just....somewhere" I shrugged before running out of the house.
In all honestly I wasn't really proud of my new job, but it apparently made a lot of money so I would have to suck it up. Plus with the amount of drugs they supplied, i'm sure it'd go by like nothing.
I made my way through the back door, the loud pop music being heard from half way down the block.
"Good, you're just on time" A girl smiled as she pulled me into one of the back rooms. "Here's you're outfit, I'll be right outside"
She pulled the curtain closed as I looked down at the outfit in my hand. God this was gonna suck.....
I finished putting the body glitter on my legs before holding up the tube of powder she had tucked in the skirt. I mean how bad could cocaine really be?
"Wowww" I laughed, walking out from the room. I wiped my nose as she led me towards the actual club.
"Since it's your first day, you're going to work the bar" She called over the music.
Great, so I left a bar to come work at another one...
I looked around at the dancers and customers as a wave of energy washed through my body.
'Alright! Who want's some drinks?" I cheered, running around behind the counter.
I began making a few cocktails, practically winging what everyone was asking for. Just because I worked at a night club, didn't mean I actually knew what the drinks were.
"What about you gentlemen?" I smiled, dancing my way towards another group.
"Three beers, princess" One of them flirted. Normally this wasn't my type of crowd, but honestly I was really enjoying the attention.
I grabbed their drinks from the fridge, popping off the tops with what I think was a dick shaped opener.
"Holy shit, Cassie?" A voice called as I placed their drinks in front of them.
I turned around to find a ginger head of hair, staring back at me.
"Oh my god! Ian!" I yelled, running over to hug him. "Did you know the army's looking for you? Apparently you went AWOL"
"What the hell are you doing here?" He snapped.
That was really all he was going to say?
"I'm working obviously" I laughed. "Wait- does this mean you're coming home?"
"No, we're going home" He snapped, tightly grabbing a hold of my arm.
"Come on Ian, I've only been here a few hours" I pleaded. He sent me a glare before picking me up, and throwing me over his shoulder.
God, what a fucking buzz kill.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Holy shit, Ian!" Fiona yelled as the two of us walked into our house. Or more he walked, since he was still carrying me.
"Are you guys having fun without me?" I cheered, taking the bottle from Lip. He eyed the two of us cautiously as I took a few sips of the drink. "We have any chips?"
I waltzed into the kitchen to look for some food, passing by a sleeping Liam on the way in.
"Oh buddy, what are you-" I stopped in my tracks, noticing the white powder covering his face. "Fiona!"
Within seconds everyone was joining me in the kitchen, as I bent down next to my little brother.
"V, he's not breathing" I whispered as I heard her yell for someone to call an ambulance.
Oh my god, oh my god, this was not happening.
Within minutes a pair of paramedics we're running into our house, yelling about BP's and heart rates.
"He got into some of my coke" My sister cried as I watched one of the workers pick up our brother.
Her coke.....this was all her fucking fault.
"Come on, I'll drive you guys to the hospital" Kevin sighed.
The lot of us we're sitting in the waiting room as we waited for any news on Liam. The thoughts that if I had only been there kept running through my mind as I cried into my twins shoulder.
The one day he decided to come back and I decided to take a job at a night club....fuck.
"They won't let me back there" Fiona sighed as I stood up to face her. "I was watching him at the party. I thought he was in the living room"
"Which one of you is Fiona?" A cop asked, walking over to our group. My sister announced that that was her as he forced her hands behind her back.
"Fiona Gallagher, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be used against you in the court of the law" One of them began.
I watched them put the cuffs on her as Kevin started yelling about who knows what.
They pulled her down the hallway and I noticed the tears swell up in here eyes, but if I was being honest.
She fucking deserved it
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Fiona Gallagher" A doctor called as I sprung to my feet.
"Cassie Gallagher, i- i'm Liam's sister" I answered nervously. God why the fuck was I so nervous? "Fiona's not here right now"
"Is there another parent or guardian-"
"Is Liam gonna be okay?" I interrupted.
Why did she have to ask so many questions?! I just wanted to know if my brother was going to live through the night.
"I'm sorry I really need a responsible adult-"
"Our mom's a bipolar drug addict who split years ago, our dad's a drunk, and the cops just hauled Fiona off, okay?" Lip snapped, coming to stand next to me. "We're the best responsible adults you're gonna get"
I'm not really sure if I could be considered responsible, since i'm pretty sure I was still high. But she didn't needed to know that.
"Your brother came in with acute cocaine toxicity" The doctor started. "He's on Naloxone for his altered mental status and benzodiazepine to control his seizures"
Seizures?
"Can we see him?" Veronica asked as the doctor's face fell.
"I'm sorry, only immediate family members over 18 are allowed" She sighed.
"Cass go, I'll stay here with the kids" My brother smiled. I was still a year away from the legal age but again, that was another thing the doctor didn't know.
I followed her out of the waiting room, my mind completely disoriented. God he really needed to be all right.
I felt my eyes tear up as we came to a stop outside my brother's room.
He was laying in the bed, almost doll like. With wires and tubes being attached to every part of his body.
"Why is he tied down?" I whispered, putting my hand on-top of his.
"He was agitated and hurting himself, it's not unusual in cocaine overdoses" She replied.
"He's gonna be okay though, right?" I muttered as I tried my best to keep in the tears.
God! Why the fuck wasn't I there?
"Well it's still early but cocaine overdoes aren't usually fatal"
The key word there was usually. Which meant there was still a chance...
"Look, you're little brother is a strong guy. He's tough. If I was a betting women, my money would be on a full recovery" She smiled sincerely before leaving the room.
"You're gonna be okay, bub" I whispered. "Everything's gonna be okay"
