"I'm so sorry, Vampire Bill. I know how this must look." Hoyt says getting up from the couch
"Get out of my house." Bill growls
"Bill, do not hurt him." I yell trying to grab his arm but he shakes me off dramatically
"I swear, I wouldn't have let it go any further." Hoyt says holding up his hands
"I said, get out of my house." Bill repeats
"It's my house too." Jessica cries like a child and I sigh
"Jessica, upstairs." Bill yells
"Okay, let's all just try to calm down." I say throwing Hoyt his top
"That's a really good idea." Hoyt says as he begins to put his top back on.
"Are you gonna leave or am I gonna have to throw you out... through a window that is closed?" Bill growls
"Bill, that is just rude." I say shaking my head
"Meg, I've got this." he replies and I roll my eyes at the childish discussion
"I'm going. I'm going. I wasn't gonna do nothing." Hoyt says as he exits the door
"It's not her that I'm protecting, son." Bill says and I see the tears form in Jessicas eyes or should I say blood form, as she watches as Hoyt leave.
"I don't believe him for a minute." Hoyt says last second before Bill shuts the door behind him
"We established there was to be no hunting in this house." Bill hisses turning back towards Jessica
"Look, I know you feel like shit because you had to make me... and you should feel like shit. But guess what? I'd never even kissed a boy before that. Meeting Hoyt's the only good thing that's happened to me... since my whole new life started. No, I'm not ready for anything to happen too fast. I'd have been happy just to go on kissing him all night long. Now, is it my fault my fangs come out when I get turned on?" she asks and I choke on my laugh gaining a glare from Bill as she runs up the stairs giggling
"I think I'm gonna like her." I say when she's up the stairs and I plant my ass at the bottom of them
"Megs do not make the mistake of thinking you two can be girlfriends." he says and I sigh
"Yeah, I get it. She's a vampire. Believe me, I learned my lesson about that. But, Bill, I think we should take her with us to Dallas. I think it would be good for you because I think, deep down...you don't like vampires,
even though you are one." I say and he sighs sitting down next to me
"So?" he asks
"Well, hating yourself is a bad thing." I reply
"I am a vampire. I am supposed to be tormented." he says and I roll my eyes
"You're not just a vampire. And Jessica doesn't have to be either. You can teach her how to walk that line between vampire and human." I say excitedly holding his hand and he looks over at me
"Yes, because I have mastered that." he says sarcastically
"Okay, so you can teach each other." I state
"It's so different for her. When I was made, one had no choice... but to live completely outside the human world... as an outlaw... a hunter. Humans were prey and nothing else. I envy her." he says before he sighs "I'll need to call the airline to arrange for two travel coffins instead of just one." he says and I laugh
"Isn't it exciting? Our first trip together. Oh, come on, Bill. I was almost killed last night. Again. At least give me this." I say and he smiles before he gives me a quick kiss. The next morning Tara comes over to my house
"I still haven't moved into Gran's room, but you take mine... and when I get back, we'll celebrate properly. Until then, happy birthday." I say handing her my present and she unwraps it revealing the photo of myself, Sook and her as kids
"Oh, Megs" she crys
"I miss her so much." I sigh looking over at Gram who was also in the picture. Tara quickly pulls me into a hug
"So why'd y'all pick Dallas for your trip?" she asks and I sigh
"Bill has some business there." I reply
"Oh, hell, do those vampires wanna use your banshee shit again?" she asks and I shrug
"I'll have Bill there to protect me." I state
"Why are you even with this guy if he makes you do these things? The sex can't be that good." she says and I smirk
"Oh, it's pretty good. And I love him. You can't just sit around saving your heart for some perfect idea of a man... who's never gonna come along. Life is too damn short. Besides, Bill's not making me do anything. I agreed to this to save your fool cousin, thank you very much." I say with a laugh
"Lafayette?" she asks confused and I realise my mistake
"He didn't tell you?" I ask concerned
"Tell me what?" she replies and I tell her what happened. Later that day I have to go to Sam to tell him I had to take time off and he didn't take it well.
"Where are you going? Oh, for Pete's sake, Sam. I know it seems like I led you on, but cut me some slack. My grandmother had just been murdered, Rene was after me... and I didn't think Bill was coming back." i say
"Meghan I really don't have time for this." he says rolling his eyes
"If you care about our friendship, I suggest you make time for it." I say and he glares at me
"Look, I got serious shit that I'm dealing with right now. Making you feel better is not high on my list." he says and I scoff
"Yeah? Well, I got serious shit that I'm dealing with too. And because of some of that shit, I'm gonna need to take off a couple days." i reply and he shrugs
"Fine. I probably won't be here when you get back." Sam states
"Is that really how you wanna leave things?" I ask
"What other way is there?" he says coldly
"I don't know, Sam, but just throwing away years of friendship... seems pretty damn stupid to me." I say before I walk off. We spent ages on the plane ride until we finally land but both Bill and Jessica had to be in there coffins
"That's me. I've always loved these. They're like booze for dolls." I say smiling but then man doesn't return the favour
"They gave me 10. You're two hours late. Supposed to be here before sundown." he says and I smile
"We got delayed for takeoff." I say
"Why don't you go in the limo. I got the a.c. Cranked." he says and I shake my head
"No, thanks. I'm fine." I say looking over at the coffins
"Oh, go on. There's Coke in there." he says and I squint my eyes at him concerned
Dont go in the limo the voices whisper
"Just get in the goddamn limo, you stupid bitch." he screams and I jump in surprise
"Get your hands off me!" I yell and I hear a coffin fling over and Bill grabs him by the throat
"Make a noise and it'll be your last." Bill growls at the man
"Hey, how the hell does this thing open? Somebody help get me out of here. Help!" I turn to see Jessicas coffin moving around on the floor as she struggles to get out.
"Tell me your name." Bill asks and I realise that he's glamoured the man
"Leon." the man replies
"All right, Leon, no one is gonna hurt you." Bill starts but then looks at Jessica
"Would you like to try?" he asks her and she smiles
"Could I?" she asks
"Here. Lean in close so you can catch his gaze. Then just let everything go. Let yourself be dead. You feel it? You are empty, a vacuum. Now you can pull his mind into yours." he says
"Everything's gonna be okay. There's nothing to fear." Jessica says and Bill sighs before sitting next to me
"You were very sweet with her." I whisper
"Megs he was sent to abduct you. Which means somebody knew you were coming." he says ignoring my comment
"Who do you think's behind it? Vampires?" I ask and he shakes his head
"Maybe that church." he sighs
"Bill, they may be crazy, but they're still a church. They're not gonna kidnap anybody." I say and he frowns
"Megs ...churches have done much, much worse throughout history." he states and I nod agreeing. Later we finally arrive to the hotel
"I have you down for a room with no bed?" the lady at the counter says and I look over to Bill
"Eric." he growls
"No, we need a bed." I say
"Of course. I do have a light-blockable room with a king-size bed. It's a suite. Double-soundproofed." the lady says
"Oh, with an adjoining room for my... What should I call her?" he asks turning to look at Jessica who sits down bored.
"Isn't there a vampire word?" I ask and he smirks shaking his head "Call her your ward. You have a ward, like Bruce Wayne." I say smirking but before Bill can respond I turn around hearing Leon scream
"Becky Eubanks is a stuck-up whore who let Jayce finger her in the church!" he cries and I crack up laughing when I share eyecontact with Jessica
"Jessica!" Bill screams but she continues laughing "She's new." Bill says apologetically to the lady at the front desk. When we arrive in our room Bills already questioning Leon
"Leon, look at me. Look at me, Leon. Everything is going to be okay." Bill says looking into Leons eyes
"No, it's not. My worst nightmare is..." Leon starts and I shake my head smirking at his response
"Jessica, what on earth did you do to this man?" I cry trying not to laugh
"I am on the phone." Jessica cries back
"Maybe if you put your hand on his shoulder?" I say and Bill sighs before placing his hand on Leons shoulder
"Who sent you?" Bill asks
"Fellowship of the Sun." Leon responds
"Are you a member?" Bill asks
"No, they hired me." he respond
"Who specifically?"
"I'm not sure. It was over the phone. Money was put in a locker for me
at a Greyhound station." Leon replies
"And they hired you to do what, exactly?" bill asks
"Abduct a human with the Compton party, bring her to the church." he says
"Do you know my name?" I ask
"No, ma'am. I didn't even know you were gonna be a woman. All I know is the vampire's are using a human to find the vampire Godric." Leon replies
"Do you know where he is?" I ask
"No, ma'am, I do not." he replies and the Bill turns to him and smiles
"You did very well. I'm sure your employers will be pleased. We never arrived. It's not your fault." Bill says and the man smiles before walking out. When the man leaves Bill gets on the phone who to I'm assuming is Eric. And when he gets back we lie in bed together but a knock on the door wakes me up
"It's Eric. You wanted to talk. Meet me in the bar." Erics voice says booming through the doors and I sigh before realising I should just fall asleep, but the knock on the door has me getting up
"Who is it?" i ask nervously but Jessica runs up
"I ordered something. Is that okay?" Jessica says and I sigh
"Male, straight, B-negative." the man at the door says
"Hi, I'm Travis." another man says stepping into view
"That's for me." Jessica says shyly
Great, what am I supposed to do? I know Bill doesn't want her to do this. How old is he anyway? He looks barely legal.
"He's 21." the man states and I look at him
That's weird. It's like he heard the voices
I did hear the voices Oh, fuck, Barry. Just smile and act like it's a coincidence. Keep your stupid mouth shut.
"But it's not a coincidence, Barry." I whisper and I watch as his eyes go wide and he runs out which makes me sprint after him creepily
"Barry, wait." I scream down the hallways
