"You okay?" Nat asked as they were halfway on the drive
"I'm fine... I just need to get better cuz Fury wants me on the bench until then" Christina grumbled
"Don't rush your healing... you are lucky enough that you didn't end up in a coma" Natasha said and Chris nodded a little
"I know I was but at the same time, I just had enough training to know how to stay alive" Christina answered
The two finally arrived back at Christina's place. She walked in and saw Roxy greet her happily
"Where are the pills?" Natasha asked as she saw the shake on Chris' hand getting worse
"Um, bedroom dresser" Christina answered as she sat down. Nat soon came running back with them alongside a glass of water
"One of the top agents at SHIELD yet she can't even remember where she put pills" Natasha teased as Chris took them
"I think there is a huge gap, I never will need to take these after a month" Christina explained with a laugh
"You still reading that book?" Natasha asked as she saw the black leather cover from behind the cushions
"Yeah... still no new answers. I guess I just have to wait until something changes" Christina smiled ever so faintly
☆A few days later☆
Chirssy was sat in the gym room with Pepper as Tony was messing around with Happy inside the ring.
"There is someone at the front door" JARVIS announced
"I'll go get it" Christina smiled as she walked to the door, seeing the familiar red head in some business clothing.
"So when you said new assignment... bet you weren't expecting to see me so soon" Christina whispered
"I'm here for your brother, I promise... but I will multitask to make sure my little friend is well enough for more missions soon" Nat smiled
"Cover name?" Christina asked as they walked through the house
"Natalie Rushman, a lawyer from legal" Nat smiled before Pepper came and greeted them, walking back to the training room
"The notary’s here! Can you please come sign the transfer paperwork?" Pepper asked Tony
"I’m on happy time" Tony answered as he elbowed Happy in the face
"Sorry" Tony very unsympathetically apologised
"What the hell was that?" Happy asked him, as the three ladies made their way closer to the table
"It’s called mixed martial arts. It’s been around for three weeks" Tony tried to reason his excuses
"It’s called dirty boxing, there’s nothing new about it" Happy argued
"All right, put them up. Come on"
"I promise this is the only time I will ask you to sign over your company" Pepper warned Tony
"I need you to initial each box" Nat instructed Pepper as she held a folder
"Lesson one. Never take your eye off-" Happy began but Tony kicked him into the corner of the ring
"That’s it. I’m done. What’s your name, lady?" Tony asked, pointing at Nat
"Rushman. Natalie Rushman" Nat smiled
"Front and centre. Come into the church" Tony told her
"No. You’re seriously not gonna ask…" Pepper tried to argue for Nat
"If it pleases the court, which it does" Tony argued back
"It’s no problem" Nat smiled to Pepper
"I’m sorry. He’s very eccentric" Pepper apologised while Chris laughed a little. Nat made her way to the ring and entered, the two exchanged a long awkward look before Tony turned to happy
"Can you give her a lesson?"
"No problem" Happy answered as Tony came out of the ring and walked towards Pepper and Chris
"Pepper" Tony began
"What?" She asked with her annoyed tone
"Who is she?" Tony asked as he sat next to Pepper while Chris stood behind them with Roxy
"She is from legal. And she is potentially a very expensive sexual harassment lawsuit if you keep ogling her like that" Pepper explained
"I need a new assistant, boss"
"Yes, and I’ve got three excellent potential candidates. They’re lined up and ready to meet you"
"I don’t have time to meet. I need someone now. I feel like it’s her"
"No, it’s not" Pepper and Tony argued for a while until Tony ignored her
"How do I spell your name, Natalie?" Tony yelled
"R-U-S-H-M-A-N" Nat spelled put
"What, are you gonna google her now?" Pepper asked
"Stalkerish" Christina stated
"I thought I was ogling her... shut it missy" Tony warned Chrissy as he brought up Nats file
"Wow. Very, very impressive individual" Tony stated as he brought up some pictures of her
"You’re so predictable, you know that?" Pepper rolled her eyes
"She’s fluent in French, Italian, Russian, Latin. Who speaks Latin?" Tony asked
"No one speaks Latin" Pepper argued
"No one speaks Latin" Tony agreed
"It’s a dead language. You can read Latin or you can write Latin, but you can’t speak Latin" Pepper added
"I can do all three" Christina spoke up into their little argument
"Really?" Tony asked
"Since I was 15" Christina answered
"Did you model in Tokyo? ‘Cause she modelled in Tokyo" Tony changed the subject
"Well…"
"I need her. She’s got everything that I need" Tony told Pepper
"Rule number one, never take your eyes off your opponent" Happy said, catching Christina's eye as he was about to tap Nat but because of her instincts and training she grabbed his arm and flipped him before pinning him with her legs
"Oh, my God! Happy" Pepper yelled in fear while Christina turned around in laughter
"That’s what I’m talking about" Tony joked
"I just slipped." Happy tried to argue
"You did?"
"Yeah"
"Looks like a TKO to me" Tony said as he rang the bell as Nat came out of the ring
"Just… I need your impression" Nat smiled
"You have a quiet reserve. I don’t know, you have an old soul"
"I meant your fingerprint"
"Right"
"So, how are we doing?" Pepper asked as she and Chris walked over
"Great. Just wrapping up here. Hey. You’re the boss" Tony smiled as he pointed at the finger print
"Will that be all, Mr Stark?" Nat asked him
"No-"
"-Yes, that will be all, Ms Rushman. Thank you very much" Pepper smiled
"I'll show you out" Chris smiled as they were about to leave
"I want one" Chris heard Tony say to Pepper
"No" Pepper answered, getting a laugh from Christina
"Guess I will see you around a lot more then, just try not to kill Happy for me" Christina teased
"I saw you laughing" Nat said
"I couldn't help it, I saw it coming the second he went to touch you when you looked off guard" Christina laughed
"See you at the airport tomorrow for the racing, right?" Nat asked
"Yeah, you and me are on our own jet because I'm not staying with those two" Christina laughed
